This place get five star, because I love this store.

In a digital day, it is important to read real books from time to time! Though I usually buy books from second hand/thrift stores, I will go out of my way to buy journals and calendars from places like Barnes and noble or other mom&pop bookshops to ensure we keep them around.

It was one of the best bookstores I ve been too, staff was friendly and nice! Also warning it s best not to buy coffee from Starbucks inside of Barnes and Noble because it s crazy how much tax and fees they put on for a small cup of tea #nooneshouldeverpay$5foracupofsmallchai

You find all kinds of books, children's toys, baby books, educational toys.

I love this Barnes and Noble. Four floors of as many books as you could want. The first floor consists mostly of the most recent best sellers and new books, the second floor has young adult and children's books as well as a cafe, the third floor has bargain books and self help, and the top has all adult books.

Go to a Barnes and Noble before the world doesn't have any left. Get lost in fiction, plan an adventure in travel, spend some time in self improvement; you need it. And then, go to the children section and remember what it is to dream, and pretend, and bring things to life with nothing but your imagination. Read, dam it!

A library that belongs to a chain. It is not comparable to Strand but it is very attractive and even has a coffee on the third floor.

The bookstore is huge and always has many books and other things that have to do with the time of year. However the bathrooms almost ruin the entire experience since they are so dirty and seem as if they are never cleaned

I couldn't find what I was looking for, and staff seemed overwhelmed and grouchy. They should definitely consider bringing on more people during the holiday season.

Great place to get into reading. They have at least one popular book by each major author.

From the outside, the building catches the eye with its beautiful architecture. The interior is as beautiful, with its thin Greek columns. The place is a bookstore gift shop, toy store, and music store all rolled into one.

This is a great bookstore, big selection, cafe, etc. Books, games and movies galore.

It's a giant bookstore. You've been to one of these before. There are loads of people inside. And a Starbucks.

Great upstairs cafe to read a book and unwind. Prefer early AM

Large and comprehensive, but usually packed with people sprawling out of the cafe. Don't expect to get a seat anywhere.

If they do not carry the book you are looking for, the very helpful staff can order it or direct you to the b & n store that has it.

One of the best spots in NYC to visit. This is an amazing bookstore. The largest in the world. They have a little of everything. Cool vibe and great atmosphere. Go to hang out during your lunch break or visit for one of the many events they host. It's sad to see so many of their other locations close but I hope this one stays open forever.

The most utility this B&N has ever served for me is as a public bathroom. However, it's also nice to take a browse periodically. It's really an ok place, considering its location.

Great place to relax and read, and discover that book you had forgotten

In my attempt to locate a book for someone, I came across more than I expected to find with the assistance of a few staff members, so this was the fitting B&N as I did some comparing and another location did not seem as promising.

This big classic book store is great to read and people watch for sure! Never a dull moment. One of the few establishments where you can look at people and pretend to read :) I hope B&N keeps this store till end of days-Check it out friends.

I don't think I'll miss B&N when it finally folds, especially given how much of my life I've wasted looking for books they didn't have, or books for prices that were reasonable. But this one's a well-stocked megastore and is ostensibly the only extensive magazine rack left in NYC. But it's a Barnes & Noble, if you go looking for an old book that isn't incredibly well known you are dicing with death.

I like how everything was organized and the building has multiple floors with a variety of books to choose from. They also have a large selection of toys, puzzles, and funky pops there to choose from.

They have a great selection of toys, besides obviously the books.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE, CLEAN BATHROOM , PEOPLE GO INTO BARNS AN NOBLES WITH THEIR KIDS ON CERTAIN AN PICK UP A BOOK AN JUST READ TO THEM, THE HAVE A SMALL EATING AREA..

Miss the NYT publications, but still it's a great institution

You can get almost any book you what if they don't have it ask them and they will order it for you, the kids part is great for them.

This is not one of my favorite locations. The place is messy the help is short-tempered, the seating in the cafe is limited for the amount of people that go there.

I love this location, I stopped in to buy a couple books, I am a author and even found a few of mine.

Pretty much has it all, and if it doesn't, it can get it!

Barnes & Noble sells new books. A tough business. During my most recent visit, I spotted a book I was interested in purchasing. I compared the price to Amazon, which had the same book for 40% less delivered. Amazon made up for the 48 hour delay by providing instant free e-delivery of the book such that I could start reading in advance of receiving the physical book. Basically, Barnes and Noble is a great showroom for Amazon.

Great books in there thay everything for everybody

Typical Barnes and Noble experience. Due to location, it is on 3 floors. Slack jaw tourists seem to be the main customers.

An absolute favourite place of mine to hang-out. Wifi is free. Not enough chairs, but that is understandable. Coffee shop at the top floor for resting the eyes in between books.

One of the few B&Ns left in the city. I like to just hang out amount the books. They have a children's area and craft kits.

Well stocked, large bookstore with extras like a large magazine section, toys, records, movies, and a Starbucks cafe. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff who care about customer service. Bathroom and escalator.

It is a great place to unwind if you are looking for a new book, kill time or get enjoy time away from the busy city for a bit. When I'm in there times slows down.

I love this barnes and noble . Its huge and has a Starbucks inside. They also have restrooms, they are always messy and smell gross but always stocked with toilet paper and napkins. They hold different events that are great! This barnes and noble also has an area that sales electronics.

I went to this store with my daughter and i had a black female following me allover. I asked her what is wrong she stated that she works there as an law prevention. This is very annoying having these kind of people behind peoples azz..

My favorite book store: many levels, variety of books, sitting reading area, not so many people, convenient location, clean and many other nice and pleasant details about this place!

A lot of homeless people chill at the Cafe for hours... Otherwise a great place

I'll be honest: I mostly come here for the deals. They have one or two clearance sections, depending on when you go, and it's fun to check them out and find interesting things. Other than that, it's still a cool place. There are other sales. It's a welcoming atmosphere. Very helpful people working here. They have events such as book signings and interviews, as well as a little cafe (I think it's a mini Starbucks). Cool place to stop by and see what they've got if you have some time.

Vast selection of offerings when you are looking for something that is established in a niche subject. I haven't been to reading but I know they host them here. I accidentally saw MIchael Chabon speaking here. Seemed like a cool dude. Most of the times, the cafe is full and sometimes it can be noisy to the point of being disruptive. Bathrooms are clutch. Great location.
