This is a very nice store with a tremendous inventory!
This is a very nice store with a tremendous inventory!
With so many brick and mortar book stores closing down, it's nice to still have Barnes And Noble alive and kicking.
The temple!! You got to go and visit but take your time as this 3 level store is huge!
Found an not expensive set of useful cook books. Yeah.
Quality help, prices are still big box store but I think they price match to Amazon.
One of my favorite barnes & nobles they have a massive clearance section with great books on sale
It's not the best, of course. I mean need more books. I like this place, I hang out here a lot but there is other Barnes that has more books, u know
You want a new book? Go to B&N. You want a magazine? Go to B&N. You want a 50" flat screen TV? Go to Best Buy. You want a B&N coffee mug? Go to B&N.
The store was large, diverse and contained a variety of books to choose from, ranging from education, music, fiction to poetry. The floors are also divided based off specific selections. From my experience the floors had literary works, toys, a cafe etc. Overall I feel it should be made easier to locate what one came for. Nonetheless, its worth the visit.
Theres a sale going on right now. I picked up a few books
it is neither a barn nor noble, but it is a very large B&N (in terms of Manhattan).
multi-floor via escalator and elevator. not to cramped in terms of merchandise--fairly sprawling. fairly well-organized. relatively clean for all the foot traffic.
i don't come here super-often UNLESS i am looking to discover new authors (blame Amazon) or i am in the area which is actually pretty regularly. the first floor has most of the bestsellers and mainstream curated books. there's some impulse purchase items. there's a Nook (e-reader) section in the back, but who owns a Nooks (they corny & tres lame). above street level, there are a few floors. one has a lot of kids toys and books and story-time area for kids (the Harry Potter items are pretty extensive). there's even a giant chunky Batman made of LEGOS. another floor has a fairly large events area for when authors & celebs do reading to shill their books. the third or fourth floor has a fairly large footprint dedicated to scifi, graphic novel, manga, nerd, etc. books.
i would say that most foot traffic at this B&N outside of shopping is bc it has public restrooms (STANK!), a good-sized cafe area where people can sponge wifi and operate their next great future failing start-up, or simply use B&N as a de facto library. LOL
overall this B&N serves multiple purposes in the Union Square area and i do hope it doesn't disappear.
the staff on floor and info desks are superhelpful when you are looking for specific things or rec's.
drops mic cuz i'm booked
My favorite spot to browse for books and other miscellaneous that I don't really need?
Love this place! Great selection of books; fast, efficient service; and a clean, vast location.
This store has been removing more and more sections from the store. They don't seem to even have a philosophy section anymore. The toys and kids section take an entire floor and the board games they sell aren't even worth the extra cash they charge.
I'm always at this barnes and noble. Always crowded first thing in the morning to late at night
My favorite. It has a good location. It is very large and complete. It has a cafeteria service.
Hope that Barnes and noble does not ho out of business. This is a grest place to shop and get gifts! , unwind, meet for coffee, grab magazines, take children for story time, order books..its a dying art in NYC. love this store and hope it stays open!
The best!!! There are all !! Agendas of all sizes and styles! I love this bookstore !!
Very clean and organized. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday.
Very Clean and Big Store, so big you can get lost. They have elevators and escalators just in case you want to change your transport method. Very Kids Friendly. You get greeted and help if help is needed. Quite a Walk from train Station, but nice neighborhood.
One of my favorite places you can find literally every book and there s also a coffee shop and music section
This location is huge! Great selection and helpful and attentive staff.
My favorite place. Also the on court street in Brooklyn and the one on 86th the best locations. I love how helpful and kind the staff are to everyone
Service was quick and our online purchase was waiting by the register!
The lack of bookstores in this city is appalling. B&N is one of the few.
Didn't have anything I was looking for. Your mileage may vary.
Biggest and best Barnes and Noble in the city, has nearly any and all kinds of books that you'd ever need.
Great central location Union SQ to explore books and sit in the cafe.
Brick & mortar bookstores are becoming history so enjoy this wonderful fading experience.
Ban the online booksellers and bring back all the book stores so people can explore learning and get off their smartphones and devices.
Only real bookstore around that I go to and enjoy browsing.
Great place for young mind.my daughter loves that place.
Don't expect to relax and enjoy a coffee and a book. I understand there's a bad virus going around but the standard i used to enjoy at Barnes and Noble just isn't there
my favorite B&N in the city - could spend hours here looking at its selection of books!
The book section is organized by floor. Very easy to find a book. The sellers are attentive.
The places is ready peaceful, worker is very nice, I really like it.
It's Barnes and Noble and exactly what you expect. I've been to nicer ones, but I appreciate that this one is spacious. The 2nd floor is all children's and young adults! The set up is nice. They had at least one employee in the children's area that was really helpful and actually knowledgeable. I didn't check out the other areas, but for families, it's great!
I come in for one book, which always happens to be all the way in the back, passing/ resisting so many other books that catches my eye. Can't resist the temptation, grab one then 6 more, and literally try to read all of them before I end up at the back of the store, for the one book I came in for. Its crazy, I'm weak, and I like books
Love going to this Barnes & Noble. I've been going here for years and it has a really good home feel to it. The staffs I've seen walking around and helping some customers are nice and friendly. Some bookshelves even have recommendations from the employees and their review on the book. Which is interesting and some are funny. Lol.
Brilliant book store, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
The spot for relaxing and gathering your thoughts.and read something.paper.
Huge book shop with good selection of books in various fields!
I love this bookstore that allows its customers to flip through books before buying (or not) with the ability to order and consume on the spot a small "snack".
Huge selection of books and the cafe on the third floor is always a chill place to hang out, very serene.
The vibe was chill, staff was quick to check out my book.
Great store, just some staff members are unknowing about some products
A great place to relax with a book and a coffee. Super layout and friendly staff. It s good to still have a real bookstore on this side of Manhattan.
Place was fine but paid for tickets, went for an event, stood in line for a long time and never got my photo with Lupita Nyong'o. Disappointed.
It reminded me of the joy I felt as a teen, going to the Village, buying books and spending the afternoon reading.
Very accommodating place. Their selection is pretty big, there's also board games and stuff there too
Huge but nice old-style bookstore ambiance. Starbucks Cafe a big plus!
A great selection of books, gifts, blank journals, games, puzzles, gift supplies, small selection of art supplies & more. There's a Starbucks inside and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The selection of books is amazing, and the staff is friendly. But the store's decor could use an upgrade. B & N stores on the Upper West side and in Tribeca are modern and clean. This one shows its age. It needs some money spent on upgrading the physical plant. That said, I am very happy the store is here.
Lots of gift-type stuff on the first floor, good sales upstairs and lots of author events.
Wouldn't unpack something they had in stock. Made me wait an hour and said no.
I love this store. It serves all of my literary needs.
That coffee shop in the store is almost always packed. No place to sit....
Great place to read books to children. They have a lot of character images where children can feel welcome and energized for a new reading adventure.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Got some good books here.
