Most buzzing place in the world but now days sad to see relatively empty

Really have see this place.. best to get their as early as possible...lol.. it can get super crowded so early is best.. From Guam

Cant go to NYC without talking a walk around Times Square. It's a must see. We went on new years day so the red steps were closed while the were cleaning up after the parade but so much to see. It was crazy busy, hard to stop in the crowds to take good photos but lots of stores, lots to take in and see.

Times Square is located at the heart of New York.it's an interesting place to visit,it attracts a lot turists.It is a must when visiting the Big Apple.

Many stores closed. Very quiet for this time of the year.

This is a great place to visit, especially if you hv family visiting. Be careful with the kids, never let them out of your site. This place is always full of energy and people walking around at all times. Will definately recommend this place for all to visit.

Uhmm New York is big city but i was feeling unsafe on night. Very crazy people around there.

Pretty cool. If you re a tourist you should visit. Beware of the nice people dressed up as your favorite characters. At the end of your photo shoot with them you ll be pulling out your wallet and paying every one of them who swarm you. Ha ha.

I really like the #lighttheworld ad in Times Square. It humanizes is and takes a little bit of the focus of money, products and everything else advertised.

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Reminds me of Oxford street in London but bigger and brighter

So much fun! Lot's to do! I driving to ! Yoy and are always surprised. On Valentine's Day there was a proposal in the plaza they put on the big screen and played "Marry You" from Bruno mars and the take photos with a professional photographer

Busy, bustling street with lots to see. I went to TKS and queued for about 20 minutes for discounted tickets for a Broadway show. As you queue there are staff with information about different shows. I found this really useful in making a decision. Times Square has lots of shops. I went into Herseys to buy some chocolate. There was a great street entertainer singing and playing a keyboard which gave the whole experience something extra. Amazing street to visit.

No other place could 'WOW' you like Times Square. Nothing is like it in ambiance, nightlife, and with its combined visits, one can confidently conclude that Times Square is the best destination for anyone sightseeing. It's Truely NYC!

The only reason I've giving Times Square a 5* rating is due to how iconic it is for NYC and how starstruck anyone not from NYC will be when first entering the area. Is it pretty? Sure. Is it great for pictures? Probably. Will you remember your visit? Definitely. Will you want to ever go back? No. After all that glam and whatnot has faded away you will quickly realize that there really isn't anything special about the place. I've taken numerous people from other countries here and they are always amazed when entering. After a hour or so however they've all to a man wanted to get away from all the giant crowds and noise. So take your pictures, revel in the fact that you've visited Times Square and then quickly make your exit. There are plenty of other places in NYC that are worth visiting!

What can I say here? It's Time Square! If you're not able to handle the busy crowds then...well stay away from most places in NYC and maybe take in a show or Museum or something. Otherwise go check out the lights, the people, the food, the stores.

New yorkkkkk. What can I say I was born and raised here, therefore I can be realistic and say I dont appreciate it enough since I live 30mins away. City that never sleeps, no other place compares to the beautiful city.

Pretty cool, fun place to experience... at night there were some *adult* things going on... but during the day it was a hoppin place to be and fun to experience

Time square is magical,large,huge vedio boards are there.Just choose a seat,sit there and enjoy . It's famous for flashing billboards. Some big brand stores are there.

Some people may argue this is the centre of the world. It s worth visiting to just sit at the top of the steps for 5 minutes and just admiring the sheer vastness of people and traffic flowing through the streets. It really does feel alive. This vantage point also gives you a view of the blinding loudness of larger-than-life digital screens painted over every building in sight asking you to buy or watch something.

It's cool place. Like one time thing it's all lights and screen and crowd and nothing else. Lol... If you are like visiting NYC you would not want to miss this place. There are people with some cool props and some people doing cool stunts and stuff. You will have fun for sure. Since this is the "TIME SQUARE"

Had a death grip on my little boy when we were walking since it was crowded and with the summer heat and humidity it was a lot to take in. Its everything you see on TV and more. The diversity of culture and entertainment was a assault to the senses but forever ingrained in my memory. Thank you New York.

Man we had a great time in Times Square. We took pictures with Spider, Batman and Bumblebee. We also went to all the different stores and enjoyed the booming Time Square experience.

The best place to meet someone, eat, browse around or just be there. It is full of energy.

Cool area to visit but very busy. Passed through the first time without even knowing I was in Times Square. Neat little spot as a tourist, but definitely wouldn't come here if I were a local.

Great place to hang out and watch the street dancers and just take in the atmosphere of New York.

Too crowded but amazing place. If you want a quick chocolate, go to Hershey's they always give out small chocolates for free and also have different sweet bakery style creations if you wanna try them out

Times Square is one of my favorite places to go and take some pics and enjoy w my friends , they have everything to eat there Italian food , giros , bubba gamp, Hard Rock Cafe, krispi cream, ice cream, coffe , music , entertainment, is always such a pleasure to go and enjoy quality time, highly recommend this place is magical

It's a tourist place who's bright lights and sounds match the movie version of New York City.

Time literally stopped when I was at the times square. The place is amazingly vibrant with all the people and lights. I stayed there until midnight and had a very meaningful conversations with people around me. This place is undoubtedly one of the most interesting places I have ever been to. The branding of stores around it is mind blowing. Go to the Hershey's store for some free chocolate ;)

Lots of trash on the ground unfortunately, which is why I gave it only 4 stars.
But SO COOL to see where so many movies are filmed!

Charging emotions! We are surprised to be in this famous square! You look around and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians is incredible (all day and night). All this energy that the square has is impressive. A huge number of people pass through here every day. From all over the world! Everyone stops here to take photos and videos of the brightest buildings in the world! The whole city is a spectacle. Pleasant, kind and willing people work here, and they are ready to help you.

Always something new and amazing. Truly the city of light and the one that never sleep.,still get excited as the first time I been there.

Now google is asking me how was times square... If it had option to rate more than 5 i would give 10/5. Its the best place to hangout with frnds family.. Tones of food options.
So many people and if yu are not sure what to do in weekend just get here sit for 5 min and yu ll feel ...weekend spent well...its thaa best place

Weird thing to review but why not? It is what it is. Loud. Stimulating. Crowded. That's either your thing or it isn't.

To be fair, I was able to get the entire crowd sitting on the steps to sing Happy Birthday to my friend, so it has that going for it.

Always nice to return to this vibrant place when back in NYC. I m looking forward to visit the Times Square again in the very near future!

It's neat if you like very busy places. But I will say that it definitely gets a lot of undeserved hype.

Way too many lights and signs about 52 million people. I mean literally people everywhere, did I mention there were too many lights some people even had lights on them. oh and for the love of God if you see someone dressed as the statue of liberty do not take a picture with them they will beat you up. Lol. It's Time square what else is there to say.

What an amazing place to hangout and people watch, shop, eat & be entertained. So lovely here. All the lights and people of all ethnic background enjoying life amongst a much of other strangers.

Awesome views everywhere and anywhere; remarkable experiences for me. This is a place to always come back.

Majestic, immersive view. Lively, crowded and vibrant.

This is my second time to visit the New York Times Square. There are not many people on weekdays hence you can take good photos freely. In the government shut down, it is not really clean because I saw trash in some places and the employees are not working for the shut down.

I spend several minutes looking around at the buildings, people, advertisement on the screen, small attraction of talent by a group of people, people wearing cartoon costumes asking for people to take pictures. Be aware of those people. They will ask you for money once you have finished taking pictures with them.

I had time to shop several souvenirs located nearby the Times Square.

The large number of policemen stationed has improved local law and order. Times Square, which has been reborn, is undoubtedly safer and more acceptable. However, some people claim that the area has lost its original light and has been purified into a "Disney-like" square.

Lovely and lively place. We walked to this place from the Times Square metro station.

Magical!!! That is one word that describes time square. Just phenomenal. You feel like you are on different planet. The best shops on the globe, best brands of literally everything and the most you cannot match the vibe.

Heart of NYC. A must to see place although there are not much things to do. For me one hour was enough.
Parking is limited and expensive so I suggest using public transportation.

Must visit if you are in NY. Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere in evening that continues till late night. The energy and overall aura of this place is incomparable in world s any other city.

A lot of Renovations have happened in Time Square. It looks very different but very nice.

Time square can be exciting with all of the lights, shopping, food, seeing people from all over the world, and the many different hotels and buildings. It can also be overwhelming. It's very crowded so you'll feel like you're bumping into people or getting pushed. The stores and restaurants can be a bit pricey. I did love the experience of going there to see what Time Square was all about but there's so much in NYC than Time Square. I can honestly say I went there one time and after walking around for a bit, I was ready to go. I never felt the need to go back into the area. However, It's such a popular spot to not go see at least once.

Beautiful wonderful colorful amazing this is a less one I can describe if you are in east coast it's a must visit place with friends and family. It have got N numbers of multiple lED boards which makes the area light full beautiful superb the street food are too good to have it's like exploring wonders there. Street are lovely full of people and life. If you are a crowd lover with colors you will definitely enjoy this place.

Great views, amazing sights, many many things to do. If ever in NY, I highly recommend taking time to visit TimeSquare and taking advantage of the ma y great pictures one can take as well as enjoying some great halal dogs. I personally enjoyed the falafel

Mesmerizing neon lights combined with a torrent of people.

GOD this place is so overrated. The whole world comes here to see a crowd.
So many people of different colour, race and ethnic backgrounds are walking, sitting, running, eating, drinking, singing, dancing, hanging out, dating, flitting, fighting and doing crazy things all over the place with hundreds of huge electronic boards all around.
I was there at 3 in the morning and this place still had many people wandering around and some guys selling drugs.

Exciting night feeling. Street entrainment is a little weird but adds to the fun.

Nothing quite Times Square from the big screens, Lights sea of humanity. It s an amazing experience.

This place is a once in a lifetime experience to see it the very first time. The experience reeks of history, pop culture, commercials and the finest of New York.
In a nutshell, Times Square should be on your bucket list before you die.

Always great to visit atleast once. Don't get tricked into taking photos with TV and movie character mascots for free. They're not free. Don't stand in the middle of places where people walk. Be considerate.

Im from the Queen city (Buffalo) so im a city girl and ABSOLUTELY loved NYC it was a quick stop from Atlantic city and Philadelphia so i didnt stay long but it was worth the quick visit! I will be going back for the xmas tree lighting and shopping

Times Square is so full of life, color, people, sounds, and different languages. It's such a microcosm of what I see as New York. I know it's a tourist destination and all that entails, but I love this place.
