I'm giving it 5 stars because it's NYC. I typically like to come here early in the morning before the crowd shows up. That's when it's the best in my opinion. Of course a NYC crowd has amazing energy and I can thrive off of that depending on the day. I don't know how to leave a review for a place like this where the people control the environment. Anyway, I'm a New Yorker So I might be biased.
Times Square should be on the top of your list when coming to NYC! One of the busiest places in Manhattan, high energy, totally different between day and night... see both if you can. Plenty of shops nearby to satisfy any craving and it s a great place to people watch. My biggest gripe with T.S is the people who dress up as your favorite characters (Iron Man, Elsa, Spider-Man etc.) They target families or individuals with children and try to get a photograph. Once their done they start asking for money (with their heads/masks off) which isn t too big a deal (unless it freaks your kid out) and I gave them a couple bucks. Once I did that they scoffed at me (more characters come to get more money) and ask is that all you have? So I grabbed my $2 back and walked away, all the while they start following you. But don t let that bother you if you can help it, T.S is an awesome place with historic memories throughout the years... have fun with it!
The video wall square. It feels like the center of the world because it is very crowded every time of the day. You can see people from every country of the world and also it feels a safe place because its NYPD cops. It feels like the center of the world cuz you see the most powerful brands in the planet showing up all together in that space and the trading quotes charts ruling peoples life every second. The MUST See place ;)
