Cool place. This would be a cool date spot. Clean and the interior and decorations were aesthetically pleasing. As for the food quality and service, I'd gotta say this place was a bit expensive. Though worth it because they have enough seating, and the food, coffee, and pastries are great. I'd be willing to try again.

An amazingly hip, hidden and open coffee bar with delicious offerings. I paid $9 for an exotic cup of coffee (which was one of most expensive options), but it was totally worth it to me. This is an ideal spot to meet-up with friends, discuss projects with colleagues or complete some weekend passion project.

I ate and drank so fast I realized how much I enjoyed the decadence Timeless offers. Apple walnut cake is moist and perfectly yummy and the espresso runs smooth and sweet to compliment your experience.

Wow, great service and friendly staff for a walk. The facility and waiting room was clean and it wasn't crowded at all. I had ahead of me. I was expecting a sort of experience and it more like a private practice.

Been going to Bar Nine since they first opened and they just seem to get better with every passing day (which is saying a lot because the coffee and food have been incredible from the beginning).

I saw one review here that said, "It's not intelligentsia but the quality is good." Don't get me wrong, I love Intelligentsia, but please ignore this person and their review. The coffee here is literally roasted 30 feet from the counter and is prepared with more care than I've seen practically anywhere else in the city.

Walking in to this place you could tell it was definitely one of those 'hip' places to drink coffee. At $5 a cup there were no more doubts. But I have to say it was definitely a good place to get a cup if you're in the area or need to have a meeting around there but not a place to sit for a couple hours and work. The atmosphere was cool, good music pumping from their speakers at a comfortable level, open and well lit, good wi-fi, and a super friendly staff. And to top it all off, the coffee was amazing.

Really kind woman helped us at the counter. People were patient with me. Space is open and feels freeing. More charging spaces would be nice as I had arrived from an international flight. I like the to go glass policy. The product was great -as far as coffee goes. I did not like the cookies. Odd use of espresso machines- that could be a little more organized.

They also are the only place that offers house made hazelnut milk as their only nut milk alternative . Mitchell and Zayde were incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastically explained everything I wanted to know. If you have time, you should definitely attend the free cuppings (coffee tastings) on Sundays.

I'm not a big coffee person (due to how my body reacts to it, though I can appreciate good quality coffee), but if I was, I'd consider this spot a local favorite.
I had some tea, and it was absolutely delicious. Way better than most oolong I've had.
Inconspicuous signage on a small residential street in a part of Culver City that has lots of warehouses.
The decor fits in with the area. It's a minimalist warehouse with hipsters (including glass jars as to go cups. Sounds ridiculous but it's really helpful in preventing waste and spillage. Just make sure you get a lid) and coffee gadgets. Relaxed and laid back feel.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
The menu is small, but selection rotates, and all of what they have is very high quality and well made. They roast beans on site. Some of the best smelling coffee I've come across.
Easy to miss, but if you find it, you'll be rewarded with delicious coffee and tea.

Portland. Joshua Tree. Seattle. Silver Lake. Culver City (if you want). Brick, cement, wood crates, metal bleachers, open space, the Expo train gliding by. Glass togo containers. Solar power. No tip line. No tip jar. Still with room for occasional solitude. You can watch the leaf of a palm blowing in the breeze.

The best coffee shop! It's one of the best places here to let you know! The atmosphere is fantastic with amazing, lovely staff. They have some great coffee! I mean they have many options. I would definitely come again, and I recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for your good heart in serving customers.

Hands down the best place for coffee lovers in California. My must-go destination whenever I'm on my business trip to LA. Knowledgeable staff, laidback atmosphere, amazing roasting, nice food selection. All-time favourite.

Some coffee shops only have a few tables while others have tons of space for you to sit. But this coffee shop has comfy tables and seats plus music that could make us feel relax. There were also books for you to read especially if you're into reading while listening to music. You can meet a new circle of friends because the people were so cool.It was a nice experience!

If you are seeking a nurturing environment for you...

If you are seeking a nurturing environment for your affectations of hipster cool, look no further. Between the clinical decor which offers you the "hard" choice between a metal stadium-style bleacher or a round communal table a la "open-concept office" (that is roundly mocked for obvious reasons: nobody likes it), it's clear that the severely spare presentation seeks to impress with hipster wow factor.

The swooping wrap-around bar, behind which are the casually-dressed barristas sporting the requisite off-handed expression, will leave you wondering where exactly you order and where you pick up your brew, because that must be inferred or intuited if you are truly on the hipster vibe.

The over-priced coffee notwithstanding, the concept of credit-card only payment is intended to fend off the riff-raff (low income people) who, mysteriously, don't exist in Hipsterlandia.

Yet they are after their "good karma", as many hipster T-shirts and waterbottle stickers will loudly proclaim, by offering coffee in reusable glass jars. I like that touch.

Never got too impressed by their coffee, and only tried once to feign some semblance of work on my laptop while scrunched up on what is designed to be seating to cheer on little-league baseball.

Yeah, as Blake S. so elegantly put it, "Meh".

This is a huge coffee shop hidden in next to office buildings and a residential neighborhood. All their coffee is served in a glass jar and if you take it within it is expected that you will return your jar the next time you come back. They often have 3 selections have beans for you to chose from. I recommend this place only to those who can appreciate a cup of joe because a cup will cost you almost $5. You can bring your laptop and get some work done here as they offer free wifi.

As a chef looking for the best flavors all around me, bar 9 has the best coffees. The team is super knowledgeable about their products and greet guests with great hospitality. Not only are their coffees great, their vegan centric small bites and pastries are a must!

This is one of my two favorite coffee shops in LA. To me its the perfect blend of space, coffee, and atmosphere. It's breweriesque in the way you can see the equipment and batches being made while you drink. It also makes the place smell amazing (assuming you like coffee, but why're you looking for a coffee shop if you don't?). The service is great and they're so friendly and neighborhood oriented they'll literally let you take your mugs/jars home and just trust you'll return it one day. And the coffee is top notch. They're always testing and trying new things, so if you're a coffee aficionado you'll love it the same way wine lovers enjoy wineries and wine bars. I'll admit its probably not my favorite coffee in los angeles, but good coffee is good coffee. The rest is just personal preference and nitpicking. The only two things that could be viewed as negatives are that its not cheap (you pay for quality), and it closes earlier at 5pm. Otherwise this place is a great place to hang and have a good cup of coffee and maybe do a little reading or web browsing.

Overpriced food that isn t good at all. I ordered the paleo pancakes with fruit, they ran out of fruit before I ordered and didn t tell me, so they gave me a free cookie instead. It was $11 for 3 pancake that weren t even full sized. The staff is really nice though.

Bravo for the excellent service that you have in your coffee shop! You didn't fail my expectations of your services and your foods. I thanked your staves for treating me nicely, and for serving my orders immediately. You got my taste when it comes to coffee and muffins, guys! A great job to all of you! You're strongly recommended!

I'd be into this place, if it were like afairly priced, underground cafe. It seems hidden as an empty warehouse with a few random folks chilling in the lot in patio chairs. There are crates with pieces of plywood attached that you can turn into table and chairs. Or you can sit on the single random bleachers or the randomly placed strip bar inside. However, approach the counter and you'll encounter a bill of $6 for a cup of coffee, comparable for a cup of tea. Their sell point is beans roasted on site and individually brewed in pour overs. I brew In a chemex pour over at home, and an 8 cup pot made from organic beans cost me less than a dollar. Their lattes and hazelnut milk are disappointing, honestly. They don't taste like much more than sourness.Plus wifi connection is slower than expected.

This would be such a cool concept, if it were geared toward artists and communities into great coffee, instead of being part of the gentrification of Culver City.

The one things I haven't tried is the cupping on sundays at noon. (Free coffee tasting). This seems worth checking out if you're thinking about investing in their coffee.

I love visiting this coffee shop if I have free time because I love their coffee so much. It tastes really great. I love the set up of their shop as well. It was so cozy and warm. The crews were very accommodating and friendly as well. Everyone enjoys their coffees and pies. I will surely visit this coffee shop again.

Awesome place for coffee. It always taste great no matter how you get it (latte, pour over, iced). Can be a little expensive if you are buying a bag of coffee but it is really good quality. They have coffee cupping Sunday at noon if you want to step up your coffee game!

Nice new hipster coffee shop on the Westside. The baristas are friendly and very knowledgeable about the different types of coffee that they are serving.

I ordered an Iced Latte and it was very good! It had a strong coffee flavor that was nicely balanced with the milk. I was surprised to see the Iced Latte served in a jar.

I don't know if it was worth $5 but it's a unique idea to charge $1 for the jar so it encourages you to reuse the jar on your next visit.

Can find parking in the residential area.

I love good coffee. I love cappuccinos in particular. I have been to many different shops around the US and this one is dang tasty, I travel all the way out to CC just for one of their hazelnut caps. Wow. Magnefique. Bueno. Very cool. I say spend the money and get top qual coffee! Use that paycheck for some fine tasting beans. Enjoy some sweet simplicities- instead of buying trash at CVS or booze or cigarettes just buy some of that fantastic espresso and chuckle to yourself about how life CAN be good sometimes.....

Great coffee shop in Culver City with spacious, modern interior. It's not intelligentsia but the quality is good...I am not a fan of paying $5 for a latte... but they are roasted locally so I guess that is why it's so expensive?

SERVICE/MENU: was friendly and the only menu you will find inside is for food. They will let you know what they make but it's a bit frustrating not being able to read a list and not know how much it costs unless you ask them.

SEATING: 5stars on the vibe! It was great and the big table in the back were mostly taken (2-3 individual seats were available between people). We decided to relax outside.

OUTDOOR: The setting different from the other coffee shops I have been to. Large concrete space with wooden box's used as tables and chairs topped with adorable jars with flower on the "tables". I saw some people huddled around one box playing card games. Wish they had more tables/chairs inside... outdoor wasn't as bad but I ended up sitting on the floor so I can lean on the box. My boyfriend sat on one of the box and leaned against the wall which got his shirt dirty. Either get your butt dirty on the concreate or your back from the brick walls covered in pipes...or not lean at all.

PARKING: Street parking 2 hours max.

We showed up when they were doing coffee tastings, which was pretty cool. It seems like they have live music on busy nights.
