Got the tasting menu with 3 other friends. A few of the dishes were quite tasty. Others not all, or just middling. Very disappointed, considering the price. The venue is dark and very loud. Even when the server was delivering the dish at our table, could only make out half of what they were trying to tell us about the dish, due to how noisy the place was.

Food wasn't that great. Good staff and good atmosphere though.

Overpriced for mediocre small portions. Won't be going back.

Overpriced and overrated restaurant. Went for dinner a couple a days ago with my gf. I have to say that anything that came out from the kitchen that required any sort of cooking knowledgement was either burnt/cold/tasteless. I am Spanish and this is not even close to be any sort of Spanish tapas. And btw the prices are crazy. Bill around 230$ before taxes 2 people. 120$ of that in food, and still left the place hungry! Will not come back and for sure will not recommend it. At least the service is friendly that s why you get 2 stars.

Great atmosphere, dimly lit, romantic with quaint table settings. Dessert was phenomenal. Unfortunately, Service is the major downfall! Slow (15 minutes for glass of wine) and not friendly or helpful service. Slightly pretentious.

Maybe we're the only people in Toronto who are not impressed with Bar Isabel ... but we really thought it nothing more than average. Let's start with SERVICE: we found our waiter aggressive at best. His recommendations we obviously aimed at selling us more food, not at giving us best experience. Second waiter at one point, while I was in the middle of my meal, asked me to give him my knife bcos he was trying to clean up the table ... which I refused bcos I was in the middle of using it. Yeah, that was weird. FOOD: If you've not had a good steak anywhere else, you'd think their $79 18oz rib eye steak was all that, but frankly it's just a piece of meat. Good meat, but that's it. Charcuterie is kinda nothing to write home about either (you'll get more interesting selection at Buca). Vegetable dishes were very yummy though. Dessert was pretty unimpressive (blood orange sorbet). ATMOSPHERE AND DRINKS: Atmosphere is very nice. Cozy and comfortable. Cocktails are excellent too. Overall, our impression was negative on the service and fairly unimpressive on the food. Maybe we would go there again, but only for drinks.

Friendly service. Bone marrow was interesting and tastes good. Chorizo seemed dry and on the saltier side. Octopus and Steak seemed to have a mushy texture.. as if previously refrozen/thawed.

Over rated and over priced... they were very accommodating when we came in on a busy night however! Had about 7 plates? 3 were great other 4 were very mediocre. Also I wasnt impressed with the fact I got my first plate before I got asked what drink I wanted

Food was delicious but the service fell short. Pompous attitude from the staff. Wouldn't go back there or recommend just because of that. Highly overrated.

I had very high expectations coming in and wanted to try as much as I could. We had the waitress create us a tasting menu of some of their key signature dishes. I know all the food on it's own would have been nice, but the waitress had created courses that all included bread. We got really tired of the food halfway through and found some of the food, such as the razor clams, too salty without the bread. I'm sure our food experience would have been a lot better if the waitress had made a better selection. But, at the end of the day, it left a really bad impression. I recommend to just order some octopus and couple of other items on the menu, because it is clear the waiting staff is not trained well to create a tasting menu experience.

Was looking forward to this place, but was quickly disappointed by both the service as well as the food. Our server as well as one of the managers, it seems, weren't so welcoming. One of the guys who poured cava for my husband when he arrived at the table, responded with, "if I asked everyone who comes in how they're doing, that would be a lot of people", after my husband asked him how he was doing. Completely rude and threw us off. Who says that??? Our main server was stand-off-ish. He made us feel he just wanted to get us in and out. The food, was just ok, and I've been to some of the best tapas bars in Barcelona. The prices were on the high side with what you get. Overall, wouldn't go back again. Labora is much better in taste and service especially.

Disappointing. We were really excited to come here after hearing so much about it but from the moment we walked in we were unimpressed. No one who worked there seemed like they cared less whether they had customers or not. The food was also a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but for the prices they charge I expect to be wowed. I don't mind paying good money for good food, but this just wasn't the case. Everything was kind of bland and underwhelming. The only thing we really enjoyed were the cocktails and the bone marrow.

Got the octopus and the grilled beef tongue! The food is extremely salty. The atmosphere is pretty loud. The service is fine.

The food was okay. What was challenging was the very obvious hovering, and urging us to leave the restaurant by bringing us the bill before we finished our drinks or food.

The service and cocktails were very good. The food we ordered was definitely not. The octopus and steak was mushy. The chorizo was very dry. The bone marrow was the only good thing about the order. Was disappointed especially with all the recommendations.
