The food was great I wish I was hungrier. The servers even with the hiccups were refreshing and informative. Must make a trip back without the one year old. Yes they have high chairs and a kids menu. Check this place out. Itdake a great date night.

Seriously try this place out!!! I don't remember having such a great first experience at any other restaurant. All the food was to die for, the cocktails we're strong and unique, and the service was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to be back! Try the Shanghai Rye, the shrimp tacos, and lobster linguini. Delicious!

The food is disproportionately good for the location. You wouldn't expect such gourmet fare in Parkland/Midland. Definitely worth a visit! My only gripe: the place is poorly lit, and most of the light in the dining room comes from the blue & violet neon lights behind the bar.

The place is pretty neat inside, service was incredibly friendly and unusually honest. I had the ruben, it was quite good but didn't have sauerkraut which surprised me. Wife had pasta which she really enjoyed. Don't hesitate to order coffee, they serve Manifesto which is always good.

Food was absolutely delicious, loved the atmosphere. I had the mussels which is on the appetizer menu and a small charred romaine salad, so good and very filling. I'll definitely be back!!! Great relaxed atmosphere as well, good back ground music!!

The "Darkness" drink was amazing! And those pork street tacos were delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and attractive

Excellent Place to have date night... Not a place for kids

Great food, and is very classy. The tall waiter with the long beard had GREAT customer service. They were extremely short staffed which led to an incredibly long wait for our drinks(about 40min), so I'm thankful the customer service was nice. I recommend this place as a nice date night considering.

I haven t been here for a while, but I remember their cocktails being absolutely delicious and dirty. The food was a little cold when they arrived at our table, but it was good. I do plan on coming back to give the menu another try!

Such a lovely place. They have amazing food and excellent drinks along with super great upbeat staff. We will definitely be back. We are so happy something classy has come to east tacoma

This place was excellent! I had clam chowder and street tacos which were great! I was surprised to see a restaurant of this quality in Midland, but the food really was excellent and presented well. The only downside was that they didn't have draught beer, but they had a large selection of bottled beer.

The food is wonderful and the adult beverage list is tops. The service this evening could have been better. I bet the next visit the service will be better. It seemed that this evening they were under staffed.

So good! The exterior does not match the interior. I was hesitant to go in since I was dining alone and I am so glad I did! Lovely selection of wine and delicious curry. Although there were many things I wanted to try!

This is also a Hidden Gem in Tacoma. I think people are starting to catch on but I had it all to myself for a little over a year. I'm sure the owner didn't like that too much, sorry Eric! The food is great and the drinks are homemade as are the syrups and all the other mixes that go into it. There's a flat screen TV surrounded by a couple small sofas or chairs, I can't remember. but you can definitely go watch sports as long as you don't mind listening to them silent film style, LOL. This is definitely upscale dining but you don't have to dress up to go there. I would recommend it to anybody anywhere..

Everything here is great. One of the few places where I am inclined to order apps, main course and dessert. Creative and delicious cocktails.

Bar Bistro is an affordable, fresh new american resturant. Our server was courteous and my wife and i both had a great evening. They had cocktails my wife and I both wanted to try, along with a good number of food options.

This place is OFF THE CHAIN delicious! Cocktails, food and customer service. We came here after getting a personal referral from a service Rep at Lakewood Ford. Months later we finally came and are so happy we did. I have never written an online review before and that is how much I liked this place!

Hidden just outside of Tacoma, Ennis one-stoplight area of Midland, is this strange little building with a restaurant called bar bistro. for some reason we actually decided to head there one evening since it was close to our place and somewhere we hadn't been before. To our surprise we walked in and it was Fancy, clean, quiet, and elegant. We sat down and were served with excellent politeness and congeniality. The menu seems far too specialized and exotic for the area we were dining in. But we decided to go out on a limb and order some of them more fancy enticing entrees which were served after surprisingly fabulous appetizers and cocktails. When the entrees came they were mind-blowingly fantastic! this place did the job of a fancy expensive city restaurant, with a friendly inviting romantic setting, and did it in a secret hideaway at a fair price considering the quality. Anyone who is local and can possibly try this place out sometime definitely should! Be prepared for the same prices as any decently sophisticated seafood restaurant. but a couple out on a date can have a fabulous experience with drinks and appetizers and everything for under a hundred fifty bucks! A must-try for all Tacominites!

I haven't had one bad item at this restaurant! Everything is delish! My favorite is the flat bread with tomatoes and mozzarella. Also the green salad with goat cheese and blueberries. Finally the spicy shrimp is just amazing! Definitely worth the price of service.

A hidden gem with excellent food and fresh fruit in their specialty cocktails. Try their spicy prawns appetizer (can't remember the name) I love the fact that the place is a comfortable classy urban bistro without the pretentious attitude.

We serendipitously ended up here after Google Maps sent us on a detour while drivingto Portland. This place is so unbelievably good in such an unassuming building. The lobster roll and gnocchi entrees were something I would order again without a second thought. Dessert was creme brulee and the carrot cake with freshly ground and brewed coffee (one of the best cups I've had in a while). Our bartender was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. He shared recommendations for places to visit and made excellent food suggestions at the bistro. I can't believe this place isn't in a metropolitan center. 10/10 would detour again.

The carrot cake is delicious and beautiful to look at. Enjoyed a glass of wine, the callop app, the caprese flat bread, and short ribs with braised collard greens. A very delightful meal.

Never been her before. Was expecting a mod-class bar, found out they have high class dining in the "middle of nowhere" Tacoma. Duck, wild boar, etc. Would definitely recommend. The staff is highly attentive and friendly.

For the area it is pretty good... do not pay for their higher priced meals... it is not worth the prep. Burgers are cooked to order, drinks are made decently, steak is way over priced for quality.

The food is great! My compliments to the chef! The room you eat in sucks. It feels like a dance floor and sounds like one. The food that is cooked there is an art. The room does not allow you to indulge.

Comfortable and laid back atmosphere. You can sit at the bar and watch music videos or talk with your friends and .not have to yell over noise.

And the food is great. They pretty much only use fresh produce, and you can see it's the best.

Coming from the North, we found ourselves in Tacoma for a family event and wanted to have dinner in the area. I found this restaurant on Yelp and headed that direction. My husband started making noises about the area, but I said "We are going! The Yelp people said it was good!" We did and it was.

Highly recommended. One of the best dining experiences and food I have ever had. Service was perfect.

The calamari is spot on, the charred Romain heart was perfect, and the Buffalo burger and fries delicious.

Truly great restaurant serving an historically underserved community... they're not afraid to serve chorizo and hollandaise in the same dish, and have a lot of cool little twists on classics. Great place to watch the Seahawks games, too... enthusiastic crowds that are not too big! May Bar Bistro live forever.

This was the most amazing meal of my life. It was a busy restaurant with only a handfull of employees but the service was great and the food... the food was beautiful and delicious. It was all filling but felt light. We didnt leave feeling gluttonous.

We just had our annual company party there. The food and presentation were awesome! The service alone, was worth my 5 stars. They went above and beyond in making our party amazing. Definitely plan to come back soon.
