Lovely place to go for a coffee and cake, very friendly service

I like this restaurant! They serve superb dishes, their menu is varied, The chef in that place is a professional, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always of high class, the service towards the guests is efficient. I often go to this place and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all.

Bar 163 is amazing! Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a character all of its own, delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend

Food was brilliant. Only problem was the drinks we ordered didn't arrive, but as soon as I told the staff they got them out straight away. Just had them as after lunch drinks instead of during.

This is a good bar at Egham High Street with nice and friendly staff, always had nibbles here and some drinks, has a pretty atmosphere and is cosy during winters time. We also did few work events they are pretty good to hold big gatherings for team events, though the space is not massive but they arrange it well and give enough attention to bigger groups.

Came here for a paid work dinner, not out of choice; however, a great choice chosen by my company. The staff were absolutely amazing. Efficient, happy-to-help, etc...
Hopefully your management team see this as you guys deserve some credit, I m sure there is lots of repeat custom because of you guys. There was a young gent and a blonde female who were serving us. Absolutely amazing.
The lemon tart was crazily good! The balance of the lemon and fresh raspberries was amazing!
I took a personal risk trying the special swordfish and it was very appetising! I couldn t eat too much as fish isn t my strong point, however, the half-amount that I had was more than enough to convince me to try again!
The potato and leek soup, however, wasn t quite as appetising and tasted quite sour.

Overall, I felt the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was amazing, the serving staff were my favourite part of the dining experience. The menu I felt was quite overzealous and deliberately so, however, I m sure it is marketed specifically that way. To me, it felt like the menu was constructed in a way to instantly be bold, however, too bold in my opinion.

The 5* is based on the staff (who I clearly can t thank enough) and the dessert, as that overshadowed everything else.

Great ambience, great friendly staff, sensibly priced wines...poor Bistro menu...needs much more French influence to make this place sing......greasy fish and chips and vinegary mushy peas are NOT Bistro food......

Great little place. Had walked for breakfast there this morning. Staff were friendly.

I really like the look and vibe of this place. Have yet to eat here, but the coffee is good and the staff are very friendly. It has a nice outside seating area out back.

I have lived in the area for 63 years and I have for some reason I have never been in the bar 163.

I found that the place was a lot larger inside than it looks from the High Street.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I cannot comment on the food as it was early and I only went in for a coffee.

I will definitely be eating there sometime soon.

We like a lot to go out. Last night we found this fine place which we didn t know before. We had a lovely evening there with high-qulity meal and a nice team and a professional cook. We put this place in our phone list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. We highly recommend.

Not a great range of food, but chef will cater for requests. Really enjoyed.

Bangers and mash were great, staff seemed ok (the young guy is quite friendly). Perhaps a touch pricey but not a rip off.

Taramasalata & pita good, New York sandwich not so much. Nice coffee but floor slopes so take care not to spill.

I've been twice and must say that the food is average and it's a little bit overpriced for the quality of food that you get.

Food is excellent and reasonably priced! Great service and nice selection of wines. Relaxed atmosphere, suitable for a place called "bar". Can get little crowded on busy evenings, such as Fridays, but which bar doesn't :)

Really nice restaurant. A very cozy atmosphere and feel warm when see the fireplace. Enjoy the fantastic garlic butter bread and burger. Should've had a drink. Will definitely go next time! :P

Bar 163 is a curious case. It is the best restaurant in Egham, but then it doesn't have a great deal of competition.

We went for breakfast. Beware the fried bread - vast squares of deep fried very white bread - guaranteed to repeat on you.

Otherwise it was... Okay... the Eggs Benedict had a thick sauce and barely toasted muffins, the full English performed adequately and the sausages were decent.

Great food and atmosphere in this restaurant. My only criticisms are the slope on the table at the front of the restaurant and also the wait time for getting drinks served.

It pains me to say this. The bar setting is wonderful it's a great atomsphere and the staff were attentive. The food was the big let down. The burger was appalling it shouldn't be discribed as a burger. It's a without a bun with just fried potatoes and salad and if you want the bun you pay for that despite being a burger. Tasted ok but over all very average nothing special waste of time calling it a burger. Perhaps maybe create a meatloaf dish and don't call it a burger as you will be very disappointed.

My team breakfast meetings are a regular event there now. This place has tasty food, cosy interiors, friendly staff and good prices. I love it.

Good food and nice decor. Seating was a bit squished though, not an issue once you're sat down though.

Terrible food and service. They ran out of the cocktail I ordered originally. I didn't eat the food I left most of it. And it was too pricey for what it was. I probably won't go back

Got to try the burger - never tasted anything like it, it was awesome!

The meal was of a low quality, I was charged a high price. The wine was average and the staff were pushy and rude. The customer service is severely lacking! Avoid if possible.

The head chef there is an amazing cook, always great food from there when he is working, waitresses can be abit rude.

There was a time when I'd have given this place 5 stars but the quality, service and menu has deteriorated so much over the years it is now one of the worst restaurants in Egham

Great restaurant, fantastic food, service excellent.

I eat here regularly and have not had a bad meal yet. Staff are genuine and friendly. Being dog friendly is also a real plus for me. I highly recommend you try this place.

Excellent lunch or dinner spot in the heart of Egham, opposite the Red Lion public house (also good and friendly) with a super selection of fare at non-outrageous prices. Specials - get in before 13:00 or they'll be thinning out ;-)

I always enjoy visiting Bar163 when in Egham as it is very cosy and has a great atmosphere. I have noticed a distinct improvement on the food over the past couple of weeks, perhaps the chef has changed? My only point for improvement would be the service offered to customers as the waiting staff can be a little rude.

I come to this unique restaurant once a month as I love the good mood that is exist in this place. The team is highly loyal and skilfull. The service is impressively quick. Not to mention, the food you eat is magnificent. I visited many times and I was always pleased. The rate is fair. I highly recommend this place to to everybody.

Only been here twice as l live in Bournemouth but both visits with my family have been exceptional

The breakfast menu is one of the best I've ever experienced. I've had various things over the last few months and I haven't been disappointed yet.

The dinner menu however isn't great. The menu appears to be quite adventurous and exotic but the reality is most of it is bland - i've had enough meals here to make judgement.

The cocktails are excellent and very strong.

So the place loses one star for the average food at dinner time but more than makes up it's points through the breakfasts and cocktails.

Edit** following the owners response, I agree that bland is probably a bit harsh. What I probably should have said is that the menu is quite adventurous but it doesn't quite meet expectations with the flavours. Nonetheless, it's good food.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We used an upstairs room for a reunion. A really good time was had by all.

Came here for a work lunch so had to forego my regular Friday Cups bibimbap.

The secret garden around the back had a nice vibe about it and the food was okay, I enjoyed my chicken and hummus ciabatta.

The staff were really friendly, but my impressions were that the menu was a bit too 'airy-fairy' for Egham - shades of Ian Beale going on.

I adore Bar 163! Great for students and locals alike, the food is always amazing here and prices are very reasonable. This is my favourite place to come for a spot of brunch and I'd love to sample their evening menu at some point.

Really nice building and good food. Service wasnt great. Wasnt given a spoon for a bisque and plate was never removed
