Love this store with more than books, age appropriate educational toys and storybooktime! And it gets crowded...

The employees were very attentive and helped me get the type of books I was looking for purchasing they also signed me up for a way to receive discounts on further books in the future. I will definitely come here again for my book needs for children look. Great bookstore also has games and toys for children.

They had lots of book titles and options to choose from. Unique labs and diverse selections. Small cozy store not over crowded quiet enough to stay awhile without feeling like a library. Its organized ok but if your looking for a specific age Range ask the clerks first.

I'm really sad that they're out of the business due to COVID-19. The story times were great and the books (esp. children book) are exceptional!

Bank Street Bookstore is the consummate neighborhood bookstore, with all of the resources you could hope to find. My son, who is now 2, has been attending Storytime at Bank Street Bookstore almost every week since he was 9 months old. It is the highlight of his week, and Alva, or who we lovingly call at home, Ms. Storytime, has made our son's weekly bookstore trip a magical adventure of books, singing, and instruments. I could not be more delighted and grateful to have such a resource in my backyard. And the fact that the store offers Storytime for no charge is not only so incredibly amazing in today's world, but also so helpful!

I found some excellent children's books for my nephew here, and there are a variety of games and things as well. Very nice assortment, you can find something you like here for sure.

Good staff. Very helpful with suggestions for a good fantasy read, nice that they have used books too. The "hairless" cat curled in my lap during the reading and sweat on me. An odd but great experience.

You could make a real argument for this bookstore being the best bookstore on the east coast - no joke. While the selection is great, the staff is absolutely phenomenal. Go here - ask for help - and you'll experience a level of knowledge and personal service that is rare in this Amazon prime world we live in.

I agree that the staff is rude. When they were at the other location, the staff was quite helpful, patient and friendly. Now, the staff have conversation as if you are not even standing there waiting for help. It is quite disappointing .

This is your one stop shopping for any kid of book for any child! The incredibly educated staff can help you find the perfect gift from illustrated books, to early readers up to teens! They also have an array of teachers books and educational materials on the 2nd floor. It gets a bit crowed on weekends when families stop in so try to make your first visit on a weekday when its less crowded! THEY ALSO DO FREE GIFT WRAPPING!!

Bankstreet is a GREAT neighborhood bookstore.This is mostly in response to A Google User three spots below. I've been buying books for my granddaughters here for years. I've never had a bad experience there with the staff. Unfailingly helpful and courteous. Busy, yes. Sometimes understaffed but not often. It's December 23rd, and I'm still heading up that way for last minute shopping for a few extras... No better place to go.

Whenever I need a gift for my kids, I go to the Bankstreet Bookstore. They are moving, but only a few blocks away.

Nice, small, cozy, family friendly bookstore. They offer different resources for teachers including workbooks, flash cards, educational toys etc. But you will not find textbook like "Go Math" etc. You will only find supplemental materials to go with a textbook.

This is one of my favorite bookstores in the world. It makes me wish I was a kid again or that I could work there. Anytime I have a kid's birthday in my life, I almost always get my presents for them there. They gift wrap.and the people who work there are helpful and lovely.

I've been shopping at Bank Street Bookstore since I was about 7 years old, at their 111th Street & Broadway location. Always a terrific selection of books.

I've ordered books with them that were hard to find and they were able to get them for me!

It is the second floor store with children's books, dolls, toys. Lots of cute and fun items are fun.

Great store with interesting books and activities, but story time very disappointing. Story teller 15 minutes late, and was not engaging or enthusiastic - no smiling, teaching, or singing.

Love this place. I feel like a little kid again everytime I go. I wish their inventory was larger as I've not found some books I've looked for, but minor point to how awesome this place is.

They're CLOSED on Sunday's and should really update their information since I went out of my way to come here ...

The staff was extremely helpful in finding books to support my curriculum. I explained needs over the phone, and when I arrived 2 days later, there was a stack of books for me to review. What a pleasure!
