Bengaluru airport is the best airport I have seen in India. Best in the aspect of organised, stuffs, facility and shops.

Spacious , clean and decorated Airport with trained staff. Numbers of shops of eating and souvenir, but it is not the place for shopping.

Worst Part i see of that Airport is Bangalore airport is not in Bangalore... Its funny Part but True.. Sometimes its very Time consuming and also very Costly to reach airport.. Airport is about 50 Kms from the city and mode of transportation is CAB or Bangalore City Bus..
Bangalore traffic and airport distance and mode of transport made you very frustrating and like big task to reach bangalore airport.. But one of the Longest runway airport is in bangalore International airport. All facilities and all is very Good.

Good, Parking signages has to drastically improve due to renovation.

One of the best airports in the world. Airports Terminal Manager is one of the best gentleman that I have come across in ages. Very professional and helpful. My query was addressed with care and was followed up until the end. I wish this person gets promoted to higher roles and for the professionalism displayed I am sure he would excel at any level. COVID SITUATION UPDATE: AUGUST MONTH

People travelling to other states, please read this. Everything that you should know is mentioned here.
1. No need to take print out of boarding pass and luggage tag to AIRPORT.
2. Cab to airport: you can book any cab: Ola or Uber. The usual amount is around 900-1200. Once the cab arrives, the cab driver will insist you to cancel the ride in app and give him in cash. He will ask you what s the amount showing in app, you can reduce the actual amount and tell him like 800-950. Tell the cab driver to cancel it and ask if he accepts online payment. This way both will be in profit. Also confirm, that you won t pay any toll tax or anything above 800-950 and online payment acceptance so that there is no trouble once you reach airport.
3. Once you reach airport, just left side of departure gate, you can take printout of boarding pass. People will be there to assist you.
4. After taking boarding pass, stand in queue, maintain social distancing. Some people may come near you in several queues during on-boarding process. Always tell them to maintain social distancing.
5. While entering airport, there will be thermal scan without mask, boarding pass check and ID card check.
6. After entering main gate, at the right side, you can take print out of check-in bag/luggage. Indigo allows only one check-in bag. Put the tag yourself on the luggage and drop-in at the drop-in counter just behind the place where you took printout of baggage. (No security check of check-in bag before drop-in but just make sure no batteries are there. Electronic item allowed but no batteries or else they will call you again and you have to rush)
7. At drop-in counters, give your bag, show your ID card, boarding pass and E-PASS. (E-pass is mandatory, if you don t have, they have separate counter to guide you)
8. Now you can proceed towards your security check.
9. Personal security checks tray are UV SANITIZED. After collecting, make sure you sanitize your hands.
10. After security check of yourself, proceed to the gate mentioned in boarding pass.
11. Just before the departure, they will provide you mask and face shield with pouch of sanitizer. People with middle berth only gets PPE kits. You have to show your boarding pass, ID card and E-Pass again.
12. During boarding, again you have to show boarding ticket and E-PASS.
13. Board slowly and no need to hurry. Maintain social distancing.
14. You can KEEP YOUR CABIN BAG OVERHEAD. THEY ANNOUNCE TO KEEP NEAR LEG SPACE BUT EVERYONE KEEPS. DON T WORRY.

Personal Suggestion:
1. Buy a PPE kit from online for personal safety.
2. Take LIQUID sanitizer instead of gel based. You will know why shortly. You can take up to 300ml, as per rule, in hand.
3. Regularly sanitize your hand every 30min or 1hr even if you don t touch anything. Even in flight journey. DONT FORGET.
4. Wear full sleeve dress. Cover your bodies as much you can. Wash it once you reach home without making contact with other belongings.
After reaching the destination, you have to show E-Pass again at the airport
While taking your luggage, put some drops of liquid sanitizer on your luggage handles for safety. Liquid sanitizer works better.
At destination airport, they will put stamp or ink your hand and take your contact details.

In these testing times of COVID where we all have our reservations towards air travel, Bengaluru airport turned out to be a walk in the park. Organized queues maintaining social distancing, both outside and inside the airport have been done well with clear foot markings to help us out. Not to forget the advanced far-distance temperature measurement machines which reduces the need for human intervention. What could probably improve is the method to hand over air masks and head shields - probably a seperate counter at each boarding gate could make things more organised - This time my boarding gate was at the ground level and there was just one person at the corner handing them out to whoever he could spot. Overall a hassle free experience!

The food was satisfactory in the lounge. I've had better experiences in the past but during this covid situation, I think these guys are doing a wonderful job. Shreyas helped me to get a cup of Tea and made sure my experience was pleasant.

It was good experience at Bangalore international airport. It is one of the busiest airports in the country. So try to reach airport early.

Awesome airport and this is still renovating but looks super both inside and outside. It's scenic and picturesque. With 16 domestic terminals to cater to 100s of passengers every day...

Superb airport traffic management is something which must be taken care.

Limited food. Juice and liquor on chargeable basis it may be served on complimentary basis.

Very clean, social distancing followed at every step , felt safe

Safety measures are being followed by both KIA and passengers. Buses and other transportations are actively available. Contact less check in may take little more time. Do download Arogya setu app. No paper ticket is required. Happy and safe journey.

Very well planned neat and clean. Silent Airport. They don't announce in loudspeakers. It's your duty to find your departure and arrival gate.

I travel rather frequently and off late getting past security is getting worse. Specially on morning flights and weekends. This needs to be sorted asap with more checking / security counters. Rest, the airport is fantastic with good facilities and clean environment.

Located around 25kms away from the Namma Bengaluru, the Bengaluru international airport is one of the beautiful and always crowded airports in the world. If you are new to Bangalore and a budget traveller, do opt for the amazing shuttle services we have. It is the cheapest mode to get inside the city and also the safest. The shuttle services cover maximum connecting places of the city during odd hours as well.
Coming to food, if you are looking for a place where food rates are cheaper then you can take a left right at the the departure, go straight and a left inside the airport, you will get a self service food center where you find the cheapest food within the airport premises. Not a great restaurant but worth the money. Do check it out if you are super hungry and on a budget.

Neat and clean airport.. Facilites like food Lodge, smoking zone, shopping, food courts, etc are available and well organised.. The bus service is available at the Exit of airport and are not so expensive..

Kempegowda international airport is well organised airport, new and have all the facilities required at an international airport. If serves both international and domestic flights. With time number of flights have increased. Now as Bangalore is growing at explosive rate, the capacity of airport specially the terminal spaces should be augmented as soon as possible. I huge 5 star facility is right next to the airport howvwr there is paucity of low cost good quality hotel accommodation. Bus stand, Ola and u er stands are very well organized.Its major negatives are - far from city, not very spacious for current requirement.

The airport is spread over a huge area and is far away from Bengaluru main city.

One of the best airport I visited so far.... All the facilities are available here.... The place is well maintained and well connected to each part of the city.... The sitting area is also very well designed.... Just go through the process and no need to worry everything is same here.... Hope you find the same here...

Highly Rated Airport in India in terms of Infrastructure & Service.
The Airport Staff are really Nice & if you Ask them they will help you for sure.
At the Main Entrance the Security Officer will ask you for your Passport, Valid Documents. (Software copy of Aadhaar is also Accepted)
As this Airport is located in the Outskirts of the Bengaluru City, there are City buses, Taxis available & we can even bring our own Private Vehicle & park.(Charges Applicable)
The Airport is Nicely maintained, Restrooms are Clean.
The Food-court located outside the Airport has some quality dishes, though it's Rates are higher than normal.
Free-Wifi facility is also provided inside the Airport.
Overall it's One of the Best Airports, that provides you Everything a traveller would want.

Bangalore Airport at the Times of Corona:

We all have a question - what is changed in the security protocol?
Short Answer is A lot. But not a lot to worry about.

-At the Departure gate, you might see a socially-distanced long queue.
- Security personnels are behind a kiosk and a screen will separate you both. Save an online boarding pass that has a QR or bar code. They will scan this. In my case, ticket also worked but inside you anyway need it so keep it ready.
- You will be asked to remove your mask briefly while they check your ID.
- Once you enter, go to kiosk and print your baggage tag. At this point you need a online boarding pass with QR code or Bar code which the kiosk will scan and print your baggage tag. No touch process.
- If you do not know how to stick it, though it is very simple, you can carry them to the check in counter and ask the attendant to do it.
- Hand sanitizer machines and bottles are spread across the airport so don't fret about it.
- Now you move to security check where another security personnel will check your boarding pass and ask you to mask down briefly. I felt this was redundant but maybe due to domestic transfers this is necessary.
- I used a queue which allowed both male and female which I felt a bit coveneient if you travelling together.
- Here also I didn't feel things were rushed, you can take your time to keep things in tray. They are asking to keep all electronic items, belts and watches on tray. Your mobile too ofcourse. Don't worry you won't need boarding pass as there is no stamping.
- Now once your compete carry on luggage are on the belt you can move to security check as usual. Get checked. No frisking. Security personnel wears a head cover.
- Then collect the carry on luggage and move to your gates.
- Inside everything feels almost same.
- During boarding, you will either get the face shield during boarding pass scan or even before. You will get sanitizer kit with mask. For middle row, you will get a suit which you can wear before moving into the the cabin.

Things might look changes. Some things definitely have. I haven't travelled for about 10months until recently so it's TOTALLY FINE TO FEEL DUMB AND ASK QUESTIONS.

Such a huge airport, with all amenities,really like that airport

One of the best airport in India. But I have one sincere request & advice to authority....many flight comes in early morning to receive them many people's reach airport early morning 2..3..4..am & wait in arrivals ...who is half slept ..please provide chairs with head rest so that they can nap for few minutes before driving back home .one can see people stretching yawning...struggling to take a micro nap in chairs .This should happen in arrival , departure & any resting chairs in airport should have head rest ...across India.

Kempegowda International Airport is an international airport serving Bangalore, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Spread over 4,000 acres, it is located about 40 kilometres north of the city near the village of Devanahalli.

The airport consists of a single runway and passenger terminal, which handles both domestic and international operations. A second runway is being constructed and is expected to be operational by September 2019 while a second terminal is in the early stages of construction. In addition, there is a cargo village and three cargo terminals.

The airport in itself is good. There is proper management of cabs and cars. But the location from the city(HSR) is really far. It takes me almost 2+ hrs on average when I have to be there. So take your margin well ahead of time. The facilities at the airport are decent. There are various options to dine and shop as well. The staff in general is very helpful. The toilets are clean. All in all a maintained airport.
