Lovely hotel..but sat and waited 1 hour for our dinner
Very good neat clean, good service and some people speak Spanish
Amazing service awesome staff modern room's good food will stay here again
Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable just what you need after a long journey. Reception staff extremely helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our various needs. Breakfast awesome. Would love to return one day.
Stayed here for two nights with the rest of my party. We each had individual rooms. Some reported doors not working properly, and there was no light over the beds which caused some confusion. The bathrooms were the highlight of the room for me, it looked almost out of place. The lobby had an old timey, family friendly feel which may not be what you're going for.
It was well decorated - I appreciated the orchids. The staff were professional and attentive.
Went there for the ArcadeCon convention, that was held on various areas of the hotel. I havent rented a room there, but the whole place has got a very good atmosphere and a nice vibe. You've got a restaurant and a pub adjacent to the hotel
Really very old hotel. Rooms were clean but worn. Bathrooms were partially damaged on the floor, shower used and with very low ceilings. The center is on foot 30 minutes bus stops right outside the door.
Who likes to stay only for 1-2 nights, is certainly not wrong place. For longer stays it would be nothing for me.
The staff at the front desk, the one or other smile every now and then good
Room was fairly dated and loud as it was between a breakfast area and fairly busy service door in the hotel. Noise from adjacent rooms was frustrating too, with even regular volume conversations bleeding through the walls. Not to mention construction / repair work noise of someone constantly hammering in the morning. The bed was comfortable enough but other amenities were lacking: we had a hardly working TV (half the channels were blurred or had no audio), no apparent temperature controls (and what looked like a single glazed door to an external path with some dubious hook and loop locks on it), and various levels of functioning lamps rather than ceiling lighting left a lot to be desired. The attached pub looked good but we arrived too late to eat as they stopped serving food around 9:45pm.
It's ok. Feels a bit old. The four star rating is pretty generous.
Susan the cleaner was ace... Friendly smiling happy while super busy.. We love her x
Good hotel chic and welcoming. A little retro but good restoration. 15 NM from the city center
Nice hotel but expensive for food cheap option round corner subway or pizza or centra shopping like co-op
A satisfactory stay
I visited Ballsbridge Hotel on a week-long business trip to Dublin. My room must have been one of the refurbished ones---clean, spacious, with a large, comfortable bed and otherwise well furnished. Most of the rooms, mine including, overlook the rather ugly roof of the attached conference venue.
WiFi is free here these days, and while it worked fine in the mornings, half the evenings it was sluggish or wouldn t connect at all.
Breakfasts have a decent variety---a full Irish offering, with the addition of some cheese, meats and fruit salad. Personally I wish they included more fresh vegetables.
All of the staff representatives I dealt with were pleasant, helpful and attentive. No complaints here.
Overall, I m satisfied with the stay. Didn t notice any different treatment for business or non-business travelers either. There seem to be a lot of pensioner tourist groups visiting, not too disturbing normally other than a few times I witnessed them being unable to correctly operate the lifts.
Dreadful lunch ... In fairness manager would not charge for it and agreed it was not good
It's generally alright and clean. The rooms are a bit outdated and the it is very hard to adjust the heating in the room. The rooms are always hot. The TV has very few channels.
Held our University Society ball here last week and it was so good. A gorgeous set up, Lovely staff and platy of room for dancing. Thank you all so much!
Took over 30 mins and a manager to get a gin and tonic. Not good enough.
Great hotel. Well worth a stay. Friendly atmosphere and great staff. Thanks!
Bar empty. Took bar man about 5 minutes to poor a few 7ups. Useless.
Best breakfast of 5 hotels we stayed at in Ireland.Rooms were very clean. No A.C. Unfortunately for this unusually hot summer. No wash clothes in Dublin hotels.
No air conditioning in bedroom but too much in the breakfast room yesterday morning unprepared as no option of it in bedroom.Towels could have been cleaner, no shower caps as well. Very upsetting was that reception gave a document of mine to somebody else without my authorization or consulting me.
Google maps sends you to the Lansdowne Hotel when you search for the Ballsbridge Hotel
Lovely comfortable hotel, super food in the Dubliner bar on the ground level. Thank you all very much
Nice hotel with very nice acomodation, confortable, clean, very kind and gentle employees!
Good stay. Best choice if you want to choose a vintage style hotel room. The interiors are not so great in my opinion as they are old model. I would prefer a more modern style of rooms. Staff and all are good but not excellent I should say.
Big hotel, little old fashion ;) Rooms are ok. but breakfast are very poor. Coffee? What coffee? U can find restaurant and machine with sweeties and drinks. Reception are ok.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff that are very helpful.
Cover is not big enough to really close up the blanket, the seat has a massive stain. All together this hotel seems run down a lot and did not get love in a long time. WiFi reception on the room is terrible. These are really basics the hotel needs to fix.
The rooms are actually very large, but the state of the places is now indecent. The building is dated, the air conditioning did not work, relative cleaning. The smell was unpleasant.
Excellent. The rooms are spacious and very tasteful decoration. I loved
Not bad. The people are not near as friendly as some 4 star hotels but they get the job done. The breakfast is decent and the coffee is excellent.
Great atmosphere on rugby days plus close to the south side of the stadium
It would be good to have a bidet at a hotel of this level. We got good service. Breakfast is available in British style and oatmeal as well. Vegetables just fried with tomatoes, though the fruits do. Windows in the morning covered with steam. The shower room was dry very slowly. No underfloor heating. The toilets did not work and when it was mentioned in the recipe, after the repairer's visit we were only told to fill the water tank slowly. Asked if we could have it or wanted to change the room. We exchanged the room.
Right in the city centre, historic buildings around, nice place to stay
There for a function. Tea & Coffee put out, then taken back in before everyone got some. Very poor service.
The rooms are old fashioned. There is no air conditioning. The bathroom is also a bit getting old and has clear signs of wear. For pure nights on business but perfectly fine. In the lobby it is much more comfortable with large sofas which are also used by the guests. There is a nice cafe and a traditional restaurant.
Very big and uncharacteristic hotel but efficcient enough for business trips. It has restaurant, bar and a Barber. Does not have mini bar on the rooms. The service is efficcient and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Too much light in the morning
Huge venue but a bit barn like. Our event had no signage nor was the room we were in particularly well signposted either. Although our event (approx. 100 people) was booked for the day, lunchtime in the bar was chaos with staff unable to handle the quantity of orders. We waited a long time a) for service at the counter and b) to be served. When my companions root veg salad arrived it was left over wedding menu veg on leaves, bland, unattractive and very disappointing. There seemed to be a wedding party booked in but all other customers, including a US group staying at the hotel, were left waiting. Not a great service for what seems to be a nice venue.
We came for 2 nights with a tour group. Upon breakfast one morning we came down to sit with our group and were told 3 times we could not sit at the table with the rest of our party and had to sit in one of 4 rows (these tables were in fact in that row). Thus forcing our group to split up.
Our window was broken for 2 days (in late December), our room was never serviced. They have very limited resources within the hotel.
All in all I was very unimpressed with the customer service of this hotel.
Average hotel. Good for a quick business trip. Rooms are clean but quite hold.
Excellent environment and very good attention the breakfast must-see
Recommend this hotel it's so near city and perfect if going to an aventure
Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed on 7th floor in a triple room which was badly in need of a facelift. Stayed 2 years ago and remember feeling the same. Food in the bar was ok but would probably eat elsewhere if staying again. Perfect location for rugby and soccer at the Aviva, the bar staff were knackered as the France game was the day before and the place was packed to the rafters.
Great Location, beautiful hotel, food delicious, great staff with a lovely atmosphere...what more do u want.
Old fashioned poor services I would be ashamed to say this is an actual hotel in a capital city!!!!! Dirty outdated dangerous scruffy and bottom rung. I went to mc Donald's for breakfast says it all
Nice hotel, good bar, decent food, perfect for my work, but also close to venues like RDS and Aviva
Staff are friendly helpfull and the food is average, hotel needs new mattresses and clean pillows not ones that smell of previous guests, rooms and hotel are dated, unusable sockets due to location
Hotel location is good if driving
Very nice hotel. In terms of location, about 40 minutes coach from the airport, and a service runs hourly. Only 20 minutes walk from the center of town, and even shorter to the Aviva stadium which is why we visited. Our room was very nice with very few signs of wear, and even these were very minor except for some conspicuous stains on my bedding and pillows. Definitely worth checking out!
Meeh goose viesh warm oppe room! Dirty sweat all night! Those blo's can not repair driver again
Good hotel. Just off the city centre. Great restaurant and comfortable setting. Transport to and from city is at the front door. Staff were great.
Too expensive for the quality and service offered. Beds are small and uncomfortable. No AC or fan and window barely opened so room was very hot. Bathroom was average, very low sink, toilet and shower. The glasses had fingerprints and were dirty, I doubt they were washed. Mirror was all smeary. No fridge, no complimentary water. Breakfast had several options but nothing over the top. Staff were friendly. Location is OK but other than that I will not come back.
Good conference facilities. Food in bar is good though it can take a long to get served.
Very nice hotel but bar food and drinks are very over priced !!
Terrible experience kept getting worse, ended with waitress and girl at front desk arguing with us about supposed credits that were to be applied to room for all the crazy mishaps we dealt with which included a wrong outdated dirty room, broken coffee maker exploading on our luggage, room move to an even worse room, room service incorrect food orders (twice in a row) and just argumentative incredibly un service like staff. Running a hotel in Chicago years past,I would be embarresed if my staff acted like this. The dm I finally spoke to,John, offered us a room credit each night and free meal for (3) of us daily. When we were leaving and tried to settle bill they argued we were already closed out and could not recieve food credit and were forced to pay..ridiculous does not even sum this stay up. Also be careful the rooms were going for online as we were there much much cheaper than what we paid in advance, which we mentioned as well. Also checked our bill and only credited one night discount off rate and refuses to accomadate what they promised. Honestly the worse hotel in Dublin right now. Our taxi driver to airport explained it was great, but under new poor management.
