Fantastic hotel. Wasn't our first stay and won't be our last!
Fantastic hotel. Wasn't our first stay and won't be our last!
Great meeting place for local sports events.Horse jumping ,Rugby , Soccer games.
Very disappointed in the hotel the food was not nice at all staff were friendly won't be going back
Excellent except for the price of a glass of wine in The Dubliner Bar
Chic establishment but at an affordable price. Warm. The service is of high quality. Everything is done to meet customer expectations. Comfortable, impeccable cleanliness, calm. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. If I ever come back to Ireland I will choose the Ballsbridge Hotel again.
High quality service. Warm welcome. Everything is done to assure a high quality customer service. Comfortable, room perfectly clean, quiet. I have absolutely no negative comments about that place. When I'll come back to Irelande, I'll choose Ballsbridge Hotel again for sure.
Good location. Within walking distance of town. Rooms are of a good standard. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
Oldie and big
Everything is far away and looks oldie but no classic
Nice enough, good customer service, but it need of a refurbishment no longer the grand place it used to be
Hotel is beautiful but the night people need some training.
Very nice rooms and helpful front desk staff. Rooms are large and clean. Overall a pretty nice place.
Very nice hotel. Good overall performance. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the showers. Room service didn't answer phone.
Breakfast was extensive and very nicely presented. Lots of good selections.
Evening meals were the minor short fall. Poor staff dimeener and the ambiance was atrocious.
Over all a really nice stay and will return on my next work trip. :)
Christmas Dinner was excellent, but the breakfast the following morning was very disappointing. Staff were friendly.
Rooms run down and in need of renovation. Certainly not a true 4 star hotel.
I got to the the hotel without my laggage (got lost in Munich). I had to shop quickly for essentials since I had to attend a conference the next day. As expected, I was exhausted after a long flight and a long day. All I asked for was an adapter so I could charge my phone. The receptionist charged me for it... No sympathy, no offer to assist in a difficult situation... A miserable ending for a miserable day. Not what I expected at all.
Pictures not reliable of the quality standard and our room (811) was particular bad. While the bedding was clean and comfortable, the walls let through all the grinding machinery noise from the lifts, which rumbled well past midnight making it impossible to sleep even with earplugs. Imagine trying to sleep in a subway station with a train passing through every 30 seconds.
I really wish this hotel followed the practice of giving every room a "dry run" where a member of staff spends a night in each room to ensure there are no invisible problems such as the one we experienced.
But it says a lot about the management, and what they consider to be ethical, when they would offer up such an unsatisfactory room to customers. The honest things to do would be to shut down that room completely.
Extremely disappointed.
Rooms need cosmetic work, they are also very hot with no air conditioning. The pillows are rock hard and the breakfast is awful. Staff are wonderful though and its a great location.
Nice hotel in what appears to be a very exclusive area of Dublin. Near some very nice bars and restaurants too.
Clean, big and comfy rooms. Helpful staff and a huge breakfast.
Clean, nice spacious room, conveniently located in a nice area of Dublin
Decent but small rooms with all basic amenities like TV and tea coffee maker
Had 2 nights room only. The room was nice the beds were very comfy. The problems with my stay were that the room was roasting although I had opened the window and turned the radiator down. Also I was very disappointed after paying over 200 for my two nights stay I also had to pay an additional 24 for parking
Lovely hotel. Very warm rooms even with the heater off! We came in a few days early for a bus tour and we stll got early wake up calls even before starting the tour. Also there were 3 in our room, but housekeeping only ever gave us two sets of towels. Aside from these small annoyances I would still highly recommend this hotel.
Clean rooms, the lobby features a barbershop and restaurant. No gym on premise. Located near many fine eateries and the waterfront.
Central but a bit impersonal. A camber not too small not so recent either. In short, it's OK for the price in Dublin!
Pretty good hotel, well located. Direct Aircoach connection from the Dublin Airport and the stop is just near the hotel. 24/7 check-in. In my opinion, It's a good place to stay in Dublin.
On arrival there was a plate of fruit in the room. The zinmer is very large and spacious. The bed was great for sleeping. Location is a little outside the city center about 2km ( 10 by taxi). We thought it was good, buses leave directly in front of the hotel (as well as the air coach to the airport).
+ Staff very friendly and helpful
+ very large breakfast buffet
+ good location of the hotel
+ Great price performance
+ nicely decorated hotel
- Rooms are quite small, but sufficient
Only popped in for quick breakfast but very tasty croissant and coffee in comfortable surroundings. Not pricey either..
Was here for a conference. Didn't stay overnight. But the hotel was nice and the staff were very helpful
I rarely complain at hotels but: 25 minutes checkin, was sent to wrong part of the hotel so had to come back and ask for directions again (room number didnt exist on wall signs) + heavy construction with demolition of nearby building starting 6 am.
I do not like rooms whose windows have a chain. Otherwise 3 stars are fair. Somewhat older the house.
Lovely hotel, friendly and approachable staff. Room was very clean. Comfortable bed
Dated. Could do with modernisation to the rooms. Bathroom looks a bit dirty because of this (dirty grouting etc). Staff friendly. The Dubliner attached to the hotel had pleasent attentive staff but the food wasn't the best. Typical pub food but expected a little more choice.
Staff very good, friendly, helpful. Room smelled of varnish. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but to be fair the rugby was on the night before.
Excellent hotel. Solid 4-ka. Good location. The center can be reached within minutes of 20. Near to public transport. The rooms are in good condition. Lovely hearty breakfast, tasty boiled coffee.
Extremely slow Wi-Fi, dated rooms, restaurant that never seems to be open.
Hotel with a great value for money, evenings, and small theme, close to all amenities, I recommend!
Slightly dated, conference style hotel. Ok breakfast, free WiFi, uninspiring albeit reasonably sized bedrooms. I've seen (much) better, I've seen much worse. Every so slightly outside Dublin's main attractions. Good proximity to the RDS and many embassies (walking distance)
Right next to an active construction site that had trucks starting at 02:30... Additionally, my first room was next to the left and vibrated on every run!
3 star standards at 5 star prices. Good breakfast, good beds.
For the price of the hotel, I thought breakfast should be included It was very disappointing for my partner who came over from Wales He said that it was so expensive .
Nice friendly atmosphere, great location for before and after games at the Aviva...
Room we were in was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good if a little pricey.
Fairly basic rooms but friendly people. Lots of business guests.
Fairly dated hotel inside and out. Clean, reasonably quiet given the location. At present there is a large building site adjacent to the hotel. Breakfast good. Lifts (elevators) are poor and inadequate for the number of guests. Staff are friendly. Some unpleasant smells in the corridors.
Quiet hotel just outside Trinity College with easy access into the city, and of course great Guinness.
Good location, walking distance to town, good room but a little too warm, daily cleaning and nice staff
Very nice place and the staffs were friendly welcoming. The food was very delicious
Nice hotel. I find it highly disappointing that they charge 12 euro for parking on top of what I've already paid for the room. I don't know of any other hotel that charges for parking. This is why I don't think I will be staying here again.
Average hotel, nice location. But old rooms need renov.
Staff is very good, it is a bit dated if you were here in the warm months, we were here in middle may.. summer might be a bit warm in the rooms with no ac, mattress was really not very comfortable we had a king bed. It is a decent location easy to catch a taxi or walk to some main attractions.
Xmas day here was fantastic. Would highly recommend you stay for Xmas day. Great value and food was top notch. Will defo be doing ot again
Nice, good location, clean and quiet place. Rooms are big enough. View from window of some rooms is not Ideal.
Decent hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin. Close to aviva stadium. Atmosphere is rather old.
Decent hotel. Clean and functional. While the look and feel seems dated but the team did a good job keeping it clean and well. The room size is big and the bed is very comfortable and definitely clean. Food at the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) is ok. Not fantastic but good enough if you are too tired to go out. There is a bar that you can have a few drinks. One of the few hotels that have vending machines for you to get snacks and drinks at anytime of the day. Overall, a decent stay but it s a slight distance from downtown.
Room was nice but we had a view of a building site and a wake up call of 7am when the builders started work. It was also very warm so not the best nights sleep. The breakfast was lovely though and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Great hotel and friendly staff. A little way out of the city centre but a 2 min walk to the Aviva stadium.
Service has been good so far. We were able to check in early which was much appreciated.
Wifi is unusable at best. Was hoping to be able to get some work done here while visiting but will have to head elsewhere for a stable connection.
Rooms have no thermostat... in late April our room is uncomfortably warm during the day. Can't imagine staying here at a warmer time of year.
Update: After a couple of requests we were moved from the 8th floor to the 4th floor. Wifi performance here is much improved and room temperature is somewhat improved as we face a different direction.
Clean rooms and bedding, *amazing* bathroom and shower.
Saggy bed, no safe in room, no bedside table on one side of bed. Reception staff not overly friendly on check in. Morning reception staff not helpful.
me: Where can we find an early breakfast? Staffer: just go into the city .
Cool feature: this thing below
Really nice hotel, love the interior and the staff were lovely
