Literally terrible. Wraps are soggy. Delivery takes an eternity and extremely over priced. Only thing decent about this place is the cookies. I'd rather buy a bag of garbage from Al's burger shack for $25.

I used to love this place but when I called recently for a delivery they told me I was out of their delivery range (I'm 1.1 miles away from their storefront, still in downtown area where a lot of UNC students live). As another review pointed out, I don't think they have any legit system. All I can say it WTF. This ruined my lunch.
I ate here probably 5 years ago and this place had great food. Stopped in for lunch because I was in the area. I ordered the Cali ski with chips and a drink. It was 12 plus dollars! Way to expensive for what I got. The wrap had absolutely been drowned in mayo, so disgusting. I know realize why I was one of the only people there during lunch hour.
Affordable & Delicious! The menu is definitely different, but the staff was very helpful. They have a ton of tasty options for wraps and sides. I like to go with the delectable "A.K. Ski" (ski = wrap) that has all my favorites: chicken tenders, hot sauce, pepper jack cheese, a refreshing amount of lettuce that doesn't water or cool it down, and just enough ranch to suit my fancy.
After that indulgent and filling main course I like to pair it with a side of fresh fruit to satisfy my desire for a healthy option, but you also have your choice of fries or a cookie. I have a sweet tooth so I must admit their cookies are yummy and tempting.
I didn't realize the wrap could be any better until I found the Ski! So maybe five stars sounds a little enthusiastic, but affordable and delicious are way up there in my book. Try it and you'll see!
B Skis is a great place for people who love wraps, either healthy or unhealthy. I've been eating here since college and will go back as long as it's open. The menu has plenty of options and all are delicious. I've never had anything I didn't like here. The cookies and fries are also great. This place is a late night restaurant and delivers around Chapel Hill.
They charge different prices then what their website says. After speaking with the manager he said "I gave you the prices, maybe we will work on that website for you."
The food is great drunk food if you happen to be in Chapel Hill. Delivery area is so small that if you aren't in walking distance from Franklin St you're out of luck. Especially when they don"t answer the phone 30 minutes before closing.
They use fresh ingredients that always taste great! They also have a lotnof options, if I'm not hungry enough for a ski(wrap) I like to get the Greek salad, or one of their amazing soups! Also who can pass up the Coke Freestyle machine!?
This is my favorite spot on Franklin Street. The ski is the best food: fried chicken in a wrap. My personal favorite is the Aloha-Ski with pineapple, but there are so many delicious choices. I've never had a ski that I didn't love.
One of my friends got hers on a salad last time we went, and she said it was delicious. A good choice for if you are looking for a lighter meal than the usual wraps here.
Decent food, however overshadowed by terrible customer service. During my 4 years at UNC, never got a delivery on time, and the managers were never friendly
Placed an order online and was sent an email confirmation that it would be there in about an hour. So I called after an hour and a half and was THEN told that they didn't have a driver. But that I could come and get it for 1/2 off! LET ME KNOW THAT AN HOUR AND A HALF AGO! I'm not only ordering for myself but other people that are in a meeting and now I look like a jerk and everyone is hungry! Don't have delivery an option if you can't do it!
This place is good when you're in need of something quick to eat - IN PERSON. I regularly get a BSki at night when I'm drunk and hammered, anything is good at that hour. However, DON'T GET DELIVERY during the daytime. It takes more than an hour, your fries are stale you might as well eat raw potatoes. The Wrap itself is mediocre at best, just as good as putting it in the fridge and eating it the next day... not bad.... but not good.
As a college student that has not expanded their palate, they might think the world of this establishment, for most of us that have eaten foods from around the world, this place is okay... it's food.
The food is mediocre. The service is the absolute the worst. We got chicken tenders and French fries. It has been 30 minutes and they only brought the chicken tenders after I questioned where the food was. I am still waiting on my fries. The cups they give you for water is the size of a shot. I won't be coming back.
Ok, while staff was helpful food was too super long. Too about 40 mins for an order of chicken fingers and fries. I'll give it another chance some other day
Great food, friendly staff, at really reasonable prices - I've been here a couple of times and have always loved their good, it's absolutely worth checking out!
Doubt they ever changed oil in the fryer. Avoid anything fried here. Put part of our order in someone else's bag and weren't very nice about fixing the problem. The Esquire wrap was good the Cali was OKAY, the blue is terrible.
We walked in a male and a female were sitting down doing nothing. We were the only people in the shop. The male gave us a half hearted Hello the female looked like she wasn t happy we came in. (We had 6 in our party) After we order (why we did I have no clue) we looked at every single table and they were dirty(we paid already) We asked to push table s together and if he could wipe them. Please. Well, he gave each table a swipe. Can t even call it a wipe. Our food was ok. My husband said his was good. For 60.00 for wraps you would expect better. As we are eating still no one else came in and no table cleaning happened. I read the reviews after, we drove 7 hours and we were just hungry. We won t make that mistake again. If you are reading this before you order, stop! There are better places!
LOVE this place. Moved to DC and just got back into town tonight and I ALWAYS make it a priority to visit this place (45 min drive from Burlington) when I come back to town. Get the scramble-ski with extra cheddar cheese and light potatoes every time with a mix of ranch and honey mustard, to DIE for. Sweet, cheesy, savoury and filling and it's AMAZING, I can eat one wrap for lunch and dinner.
The food is mediocre, expensive, and delivery takes almost two hours. It's honestly quicker to just walk to Franklin than to ever hope that your food will arrive to you within a reasonable time. Personally, I wish I had just walked to Harris Teeter and bought the ingredients for a wrap and fries, as I would have had my food faster.
Used to eat here regularly, but the service continues to get worse. They don't deliver most of the time anymore, the site doesn't work or reflect the time the restaurants actually open, and the way the menus organized does not put the restaurants best foot foward. The last 5 times I've tried to order, the foods only gotten to me once. Partly because they don't hire enough drivers, but after years you think they would of worked out a reliable system. With their reduced new hours, I could see bskis being closed in the next year, and the fault is ownership. The ownership has no understanding of the customer experience, or perhaps no concern. I'm done. The food could be good, be there's no point paying this much money for the worst service in town.
The food is good college food. However, delivery could use some work. Several times they have gotten my order wrong and had to deliver part of my order separately after I call and inform them part of my order is missing (usually arriving long after the ski). The food quality isn't consistent, either. I've had fries and wraps arrive soggy and sub-par, but I've also had them arrive delicious. So I often feel as if I'm taking a gamble when I order delivery. Otherwise, a good place to eat.
I have *no idea* why I have not done a review for BSkis yet. This is, by far, my favorite late night meal on Franklin Street. I tend to get hungry around 8:00 or 9:00 pm and this is the best place to grab a quick wrap. I strongly suggest trying the Egg and Cheese and if you can't finish it you can always have it for breakfast the next morning.
The decor is a classic college town wrap shop and you cannot expect much more. They do have a big screen TV that is always playing sports when I go in. If you are looking for wraps in the Chapel Hill area this is the place to go.
Amazing food. no.7 every time, nice fries too. However their delivery service is shoddy- takes longer then they say to get to you. I have waited over an hour on two occasions, and when you ring to make an order they always put you on hold, ive had to call them 4 times just to get through. Terrible customer service in this aspect.
I have always been indifferent to Bskis, as the concept is pretty neat if just about every wrap you could think of, but the price here I feel is pretty high for what you get. The wraps taste pretty good, but I have to be in the mood to enjoy them. It's worth stopping by, but not the best resturant on Franklin Street.
I used to eat at Bski's about once a week when I was a freshman and sophomore at UNC (which is now 8-9 years ago), and I'm glad to see this restaurant is still here. I remember ordering food here countless times when cramming the night before an exam. They are open until 3 am and even deliver late at night which provides a great option for students who need something quick during those midnight cramming sessions.
My favorite ski/wrap is the Scramble Ski. It comes with lots of scrambled eggs and is loaded with cheddar and mozzarella cheese and potatoes. French fries are always crispy and the chocolate chip cookies are amazing. There are also a variety of other skis to choose from that have chicken and steak. You get a lot of food for the money. I loved Bski's because "back in the day" when I was a student, it was unique compared to other restaurants on Franklin St. There's no other restaurant nearby that I can think of with similar food.
The restaurant is very well kept and clean. I've never seen their sanitation grade below a 99. In my experience, the staff have always been very friendly and accommodating. Especially the restaurant manager. She is so cool! She gives people free cookies sometimes. I'm honestly shocked at some of the bad reviews. College kids can definitely be a tough crowd to please...and I was a former college kid so please don't take offense lol.
Now that I work in downtown Raleigh, my only complaint about Bski's is that they don't have a restaurant in Raleigh so I can eat there for lunch! :)
Amazing college food concept! Carbs, cheese and sauce, unique flavor combinations, wrapped into only $6, and delivered, even late! So delicious, check it out!
AK SKi is the best. Preferably at night time, a little certain type of liquid... Drunk food- the best. French fries are always piping hot and the chocolate cookies to die for.
Ignore all of these negative comments. Most of the people in the comments are uptight, privileged. The food here is great. They have choices for veggie lovers and meat lovers. The price is reasonable since I pay under $10 for a meal.
I'm not typically a one-star reviewer, but the new management at B Skis is honestly not worth more.
I used to order B Skis all the time when I first came to Chapel Hill, and for the most part always had good service, but this past year has been much different. I had an experience about a month or two ago where I ordered delivery around lunch time and received a call that they had no delivery drivers and I could either come pick it up or get refunded. I opted for a refund, which I was told would process immediately. Long story short, it ended up taking over a week and I had to go through 3 or 4 different employees. Whatever, it was a one time thing, and I work in the service industry so I get that sometimes things fall through the cracks.
This past week, the exact same thing happened. When the manager offered me a refund, I politely tried to tell him about what had happened before, and who ended up actually being able to refund my money-- I wanted to prevent the same thing from happening again. But I couldn't get a word out. He kept interrupting and talking over me, promising I'd get my money within 24 hours, and basically doing anything he could to get me to shut up. I was frustrated but I figured they were busy. I waited the 24 hours, and nothing. I called my bank to check if the refund was at least processing, and it wasn't. I called back and the manager did the exact same thing to me again. Swore up and down I'd get it back within 24 hours (an additional 24?) and kept talking over me even though I already knew exactly what the issue was, since I had experienced it before. He just outright refused to believe me. Repeat for like 4 more days, add in promises that he'd call the bank and figure out what's going on, and then repeated ignored calls and texts of me just trying to figure out where he was in the process.
Finally, today, I threatened to file a claim with my bank. I got a response somewhat quickly that he was working with the bank and to just hold on. He responded and told me the problem was the EXACT problem that I told him on our FIRST call was the problem I had the last time it happened. Not even an apology. He did say a quick "sorry" in a later text and offered me to get a free wrap sometime, but I quickly responded that had he listened to me, instead of interrupting and talking over me, the first time, that this would not have been a week-long ordeal. No response, no acknowledgement, no apology. This was extremely unprofessional, and extremely poor customer service.
As for the food-- it's fine I guess. Usually soggy by the time it gets to you. My roommate ordered some food once at like 3pm and didn't get it until 2:30am, was forced to screenshot and send texts of her order confirmation to 3 different employees, and ended up with cold food and zero refund or apology. So take that for what you will.
I think it's evident by the other reviews here that something has changed with B Skis, and I definitely won't be eating here again.
Seriously some of the worst delivery service out there. It took them almost two hours to deliver once, and sometimes they let the estimated hour delivery time pass and come up with some ridiculous excuse, only offering half off AFTERWARDS (if that, since most of the time it's nothing) with a rude, not even close to apologetic phone call. Just don't waste your time with delivery.
The wrap is pretty tasty, but my order was strangely messed up. I ordered a scramble-ski with hot sauce to-go. Not only was there an extra charge for what tasted like a few drops of texas pete, the wrap was missing the potatoes it should have come with! It was basically a wrap filled with just cheese and egg which tasted fine for what it was, but I was really disappointed that it wasn't what I had ordered.
Officially done with Bskis. The food isn't bad, but the prices are absurd for the portions. I last paid 11 dollars for soup and a small salad, which was so small you could fit it inside a Wendy's dollar menu container, and what I speculate was a measuring cup worth of soup.
The experience when you go in is fine, albeit slow at times (even when not busy). The big problem is delivery. The past FOUR times I have ordered, the food has taken over an hour to arrive and the order has been wrong. If you get two orders of fries, you might as well expect to only get one. Order a medium, expect a small. It's not a simple mistake, it's a constant. Furthermore, they recently hiked their prices in a very discreet manner. Tax used to be included on the menu prices, and it no longer is, resulting in 50 cents higher on just about everything without any indication of this on the menu prices. I loved this place when I first came to Chapel Hill, but it has gotten worse and worse.
The wraps were delicious and made to order in a few minutes. The prices were great and the portion size was plenty of food for a meal. Glad I stopped by!
Been eating here every day for a month as I'm supervising a job on campus. I'll admit they could knock the price down on most by at least 1-2$ pretty easily. However the food is totally excellent, I've made it my business to get something different every day. So far they've all been great choices.
Had the worst experience of all late night joints here. It was an hour and a half before our order was almost ready. There were almost 6 people in the kitchen making these wraps. When we explained that we would not pay for our food at the end of the 1.5 hour wait, the manager was rude and stated that we would only get a refund. He questioned us and questioned us, "did you see the line when you got in it?" There was no type of compensation for our wait. We took the refund, but decided we would never go back to Bski's because of the service. I would not recommend this place to anyone and refuse to go again. It is unprofessional and not worth it. If you have to wait more than 30-45 minutes, just walk out the door.
