A camera mega store that has nearly anything you could need. It is a very rare occasion that they don't have a part I need that day. Sometimes the professionals that speak to you on the phone, really don't seem to want to take the time. If you know what you are looking for though, this won't be an issue. The hours here are different than most. Be sure to check their website before you go.

How can anyone rate this company that high when they shut down all operations at 2 on a Friday?
Today I was expecting a Nikon D4. UPS dropped off a package today but it had someone else's order in it. Their response was not acceptable as they should have done everything they could to make sure I had a camera in my hand today, not tomorrow, which was all they said they could do.

Now, I can't get a hold of them because they're closed.

I can see shutting down sales, but customer service?

The best in the biz, whether in the store, online or on the phone. The staff is EXTREMELY well trained, helpful, and NOT COMPENSATED via commission. Therefore, they only give good advice that is not financially motivated. Pricing is some of the best as well. Why would you shop anywhere else for electronics?

Why offer an item if you won't have it in stock by the release date? I preordered the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, and was told to wait a month after the release date. I preordered for the bonus of getting a free wireless charging pad. I can't apply for the free item after the deadline. Just terrible customer service, and inventory. I won't ever order from this company again.

I made as a gift a GoPro hero 7 black, but when I tried to switch /refound with something else, something went wrong because the serial number of Gopro 7hero black doesn't match with the serial number of the box of the same Gopro..they don't care about my purchase and about me..they don't switch/refound nothing..
So now I spent money for something that I can't enjoy and I had a bad impression with the person who received the GoPro as a gift..

The go-to location in New York for all your technology needs. Terrific customer service, extremely knowledgeable staff, excellent website. Both in-store and online ordering and processing is efficient and fast. And free shipping within New York City, can't be beat!

I really can't say enough wonderful things about the selection, prices and thoughtfulness that goes into B&H's service. Also, their brick and mortar store is basically heaven for equipment junkies. It should be a destination for tourists.

I had a excellent experience shopping with B&H...Was able to pick up M-Audio AV 40 on sale for $79 Reg $150, I received the package literally 24 hours after placing the order (Free expedited shipping). I will be a regular B&H shopper for now on!

Have done most of my interactions with them online. I have also visited the shop and it always amazes. If you enjoy retail, visit!. If you are a camera(tech) geek easily spend half a day here.
Service is not great, feels pushy and uninterested in helping.
Went in to do an online order claim and they managed to get it sorted in store after a lot of explaining.

Can pretty much find anything that you are looking...

Can pretty much find anything that you are looking for here. So today, the main store is closed due to covid 19. You can still order items online and pick them up at the store registers/pickup area. They are social distancing and have plexiglass shields in front of the register areas. When the store is open though, it's amazing. I would recommend it to all tourists who visit.

As a professional photographer this is my main go to. Anything I could ever need they have and the Salesforce is so knowledgeable. Besides I've never found a store or an online retailer including "amazon" any cheaper than here I'm not even sure how you guys make any money based on your crazy cheap prices. And your reviews on all new camera releases is so informative. I love what you guys are doing keep up the great work

Buyer beware... BHPhotovideo sells old equipment (like the Macbook Pro I purchased) at prices nearly equal to those of brand new equipment. If you open the manufacturer's packaging after receipt of the item, at all, they will not allow you to return it or refund you, at all. Their return policy is horrible. Now, I can't help but feel like I've been duped. Don't let it happen to you, too.

B&H NYC is one of the worst stores ive experienced...

B&H NYC is one of the worst stores ive experienced.
I was in the film and processing section at around 6:15 8/7/14. The old man helping me was very unpleasant. When i took out my cameras he commented " now youre taking out some cameras you bought from the flea market ". This comment was unnecessary and unfriendly. I think his name was alikyah. Please tell him to be nicer to customers. All the other workers ive encountered were much nicer or at least standard customer service worthy when ive asked them for help .
Purchasing my item was a hassle. I mean i liked the conveyor belts on the ceiling but I was a robot being pushed through drive-thru procedures. There is a better solution to having the cool conveyor belts with out going through drive-thru.
This company also changes its prices unexpectedly. When I saw my item online about a week or two ago, the price was at $8.50. I ended up paying $9.00 + tax. wow only 50 cents more. but if thats the case , i couldve been charged a dollar or two more. If i only had $8 + tax on me, then it would've been a trip to the city wasted. I'd like to have a month advance warning about prices changing. please try to put a price change notice on the website.
I will never advise my friends to come to this store. Ill never come here again. If i want another product, i'll be ordering online.
Actually , looking at the other reviews for this store, it seems that ordering from this store is also another complication. Buying a product at a competitive price is not worth coming back to robot world.

I bought a Dymo 4XL label printer for my dhl shipping but it turned out dhl don't support Dymo so within a day of receiving the item i email B&H to return the item and i was willing to pay restocking fee as well, but i got a email from them stating whats the reason behind the return and i email telling them the reason and that was the last email i heard from them. I tried to contact them several time with no reply. This was my first and last from this company. Now the Dymo printer is sitting here collating dust.

this place never ceases to amaze me. incredibly knowledgeable staff, tons of products, and such an amazingly efficient store make this place a treat to visit. even when it's packed (always) there's order to the madness. i suggest hitting up the nearby skylight diner before or after.

B&H seems like they have great deals but you know what they say about too good to be true . . .

I ordered a camera that cost as much as a car from them. It took forever to get from them. I continue to call and they continue to give me dates of delivery that never happened. Then I call and they tell me it was already delivered when it wasn't. Luckily I had witnesses working at my house that day (and told them as much) because suddenly they realized they were mistaken and told me it would be delivered in a week. I think they were trying to scam me. Meanwhile I finally get the camera and it is basically obsolete now. I have heard they pull this trick a lot, sell the camera, but make you wait forever so they can get a better deal on the price.

I also received software that was missing one of the discs. The case was old and beat up like it has either been used or returned five times.

Beware of B&H Credit Card - 1 year No Financing.

B&H split up my order into 3 orders and then only the first small part of the order was in the 1-year of No Financing. Called and talked to Five B&H employees including a manger. They were unable to help, and three of them were Utterly Useless. Then I was surprised the manger didn't even try to call MySynchrony to help resolve the problem. You screwed me pretty hard. The manger knew you screwed me, did he care enough to try? Nope. So beware people, their service sucks.

Plus before the credit card problem, I also had dealt with your service reps. I made my order at night after you were closed, realized I needed an adapter, sent an email asking it to be added to my order (didn't hear back), called the Early the following morning and the person said the item couldn't be added to my order, that it was already in progress,guess what? One of the items was back ordered for weeks (thus screwing me on the credit card), and somehow that item couldn't be added...

Literally useless service.

I've been shopping with B&H since MiniDV days. I've bought every camera, light, sound recording item for well over a decade. I'm not saying I will never ever buy anything from B&H again, but sure thing is you will be the Last place I buy from.

This store carries everything. If they don't have it in store its easy to order online and pickup as quickly as the next day. Convenient location in NYC close to the tunnel and free parking across the street.

If you are a camera lover, you will go crazy to see this humongous place filled with cameras, lens, accessories and God knows what else. You can spend an entire day and still feel incomplete before leaving. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in terms of deciding the right gadget for you. I really miss this place. They should have such branches outside NY.

i know folks will hate the fact that i didn t give this place five stars but frankly my dears these people are snots.

Yes they are knowledgeable and yes they stock every kind of equipment you need but honestly do yo have to throw it in everyone s face that you are the crem-Della-crem?

My motto is what goes up goes down its okay to be the best today but you MUST PLAN for the future.

Overall the store is laid out nicely, Well lit aisles that give you space to maneuver. This store reminds me of Border book store before they realized that today is just today and tomorrow may never come if you don t set up a plan.

Will i shop here again? Of course, but my first choice will be Amazon and then ill compare their prices to B&H and then google the item to see if can find an even cheaper version or at least some honest reviews.

I rarely leave reviews. But here it goes. Staffs are unwilling to help, they got that lazy look of what? Here you go. Now get out of my face Most of the staffs I have encountered and asked for help just wanted to complete their duties as a staff and have no interest in actually want to help out.

Cashier shows surprises when I spell my last name and replies to my question in a sarcastic and, to be quite frank, offensive way: No, I didn t find your name because there are thousands of names like yours when I ask her if she had found my name.

Overall, very unpleasant and disappointing shopping experience.

It s a shame because overall B&H undoubtedly has great selections of everything revolving digital media but the store is badly, sadly suck at delivering a friendly shopping experience.

Go here if you want to spend bucks as well as getting unappreciative looks and attitudes.

My suggestion, do some Starbucks staffs training session or just tell your staffs to wake up.

This is a bittersweet goodbye to bh photo for me. I love your store and will continue to visit when ever I'm in nyc, but shipping via FedEx has given me gray hairs.....

I ordered a package that I NEEDED by end of day today(Monday) . I ordered it last Tuesday evening (it counted as a Wednesday order) In the past, usually I get packages the very next day from b&h when I order online. I would LOVE to rather give you guys the business, rather than Bezos, but it is now Monday evening (5 full days since I places the order) and I still don't have it.

The purpose for what I needed it for came and went, so I hope I have a need for it in the future, which makes this whole situation that much more spoiled.

I wish you guys had a 'prime' 2 day shipment function

Just the best store for electronics, great staff which they're very patient and super helpful! I bought my first slr here 15 years ago and any time I come to New York I always pop in for updates and new gadgets! Defo a place to go for good advice! Highly recommend

They have all of my video needs. If you're a Tuber, or aspiriing to be one, you'll find some really good equipment to get started with. You'll also enjoy your favorite options for sound, regular digital cameras, and pretty much anything in this arena. It's hard to imagine ever needing to shop elsewhere. Oh, and the customer service people are good too.

I've ordered numerous things from them online over the last ten years. The prices have always been good, the delivery fast, and the products always as advertised. This isn't always the case when dealing with photography equipment.

They advertised that Canon PowerShot G7 x Mark II will be available last week of May. Me and my friend pre-ordered the unit. It never happened. The last week of May became June and when I received my unit it was only this week - JULY 18 :(
