Read the previous reviews and notice that people believe there are racist managers and ownership here I ve seen seen it first hand.Scottsdale is believed to be high class and I understand that turning away the riff rafts makes it a safe environment but the police have that covered theres plenty of them but no one comes way out to Scottsdale to be looked down upon and harassed by security guards and hand picked to who can get in and out there establishments. Ive noticed black guys denied entry for wearing the same exact apparel some white guys were wearing. when a friend got to drunk and lost his wallet he was being told he has to leave which is understandable no one likes a lush but when we assisted him out and escorted him to an uber to send him home we were denied re-entry the security had a million different excuses to why and then when spoke to a red head manager he gave us the run around telling us to come back hours later stating that we were to drunk when we were clearly not just because we met up with some friends there who had been drinking before we even got there he assume we were apart of a drunk party ..WOW.. I don t ever wanna go back to this place and if your black or mexican you may wanna go where your wanted this is not the place.

I payded a VIP table for my boyfriends birthday today 2/24/18 maya has always been one of my favore clubs in Scottsdale but unfortunately today while I was outside one of the bouncers dragged a heater over my feet and said MOVE in the most rude disrespectful way possible I do not drink alcohol so I was completely sober and aware of the situation, I felt completely disrespected not only was he EXTREMELY disrespectful but when I asked for his name to make a formal complaint he denied me of that and and went on to tell me you ll ALWAYS be fat and ugly after having spent my money at this establishment for a good memorable time I left feeling extremely disrespected i won t be boking another table at this club ever Again and as a business owner my recommendation would be to fire this employee or at least have a serious conversation about customer service which essentially makes and intire business.
Because I was not able to get his name I will say he was affrican American standing right at the door. Regardless of this being taken care of or not I will not be visiting this club again. I payed for a good time but instead left feeling completely disrespected by a worker who ran a heater over my feet and continued the disrespect by calling me fat and ugly an employee who is willing so carelessly to disrespect anyone in a place of business does not deserve to receive a check from that business.

Nice spot had tons of fun and a great crowd. It was a blast the only thing is the drinks are very price heavy.

this is my first time here, and I got to say I will definitely be back! I came here because I had Nelly tickets, which I must add was a great show! I was very happy overall... The staff are very good at what they do... Everything from the bouncers to the doorman to the bartender's to the definitely hot servers! It's definitely laid out to be absolutely a great place to spend your day and evening partying I've got a beautiful pool with bars right by the edge of the pool. In short if you haven't been here do yourself a favor come check it out!

a friend of mine tried to go the other day and the security denied him entry because they "don't accept his kind (gay) there." So that just goes to show how they treat a customer that is willing to pay good money to go party in their club. I'd suggest going somewhere that will serve you for your patronage (like normal American businesses are suppose to run) and give you your money's worth instead of somewhere whose service is so fragile, if your just gay your denied. Disgusting.

I am not one to typically write a bad review unless it is well deserved and this place happens to be the worst club experience I've been part of. I should of seen the first red flag when this was the only club without a massive line. I arrived at the club with my girlfriend and her friend. They are both women of color which I will get into why that matters next. As we get to the front of the line I paid the cover charge. Literally within ten steps this goon that was a bouncer grabbed my friend who happens to be black and said you are kicked out for being intoxicated. Now that completely shocked me because I was with her all day and she had two drinks in a 4 hour period. He immediately was rude and argumentive. I asked him to state what he saw that indicated she was intoxicated. He said she stumbled which was odd because I was walking right behind her and she walked as straight as an arrow. If she was truly intoxicated they should of never let her through the door. The bouncer called about 5 other bouncers to assist. I said we just walked in so I'm ok with leaving but then we should get our money back. He said follow them and they will work with the GM to make that happen. It was a trick to get us out. The GM was there and immediately was confrontational with everyone. He acted like a child not a GM. He would not even listen to our concerns or even entertain the idea of being a professional. The best part is I asked the police officer across the street if my friend can blow into the breathilizer. The police let her and she blew a .04. So apparently she was sober enough to drive but not sober enough to be a classy black woman at the club. I would urge everyone to stay away from here. Read the other negative reviews and you will see a theme of racism, shakedowns, theft, dishonesty, and no accountability. If the owners read these reviews they might want to get serious and take action before these incidents escalate into something more serious.

This place has so many bad reviews I don't think I even want to go. This is not a good look for this club when it comes to tourists like myself. Someone told me about this last night and now reading these reviews I'm worried about being turned around at the door for being black, being from Florida with a Florida I.D. and passport or if I get inside; dealing with bad service. Now being that I am a Club Promoter on south beach, a successful one at that to me this would be embarrassing to the club owner and myself if it were reviews about clubs I'm promoting for. I've read about 30 reviews and about 25 of them were bad. The owner replied to every last bad review as if it's protocol to cover his ass. I'm wondering should I go to see if the people that did go was just complaining or is this an actual thing that goes on. here goes nothing......... will be back with another review.

Terrible service. I was told by one bartender it would cost us $4k for a table and he "had to check on current prices" came back 2 minutes later and quoted us his "employee price" for the "last table" for $400. Sounds and seems totally dishonest. We decided to wait until we knew everyone in our party was willing to contribute and we heard the same man quote a bridal party $200 less. FOR THE EXACT SAME TABLE. when we decided to leave I stood at the bar for a man in sunglasses to help 5 other parties who came up on either side of me while I was standing there to close my tab. Took probably 40 minutes before I was helped despite him standing directly in front of me to make the drinks for the new people who were coming up to order. I finally had to wave to get his attention and he backed up from me and went to the other side of the bar without saying a word. Drinks are $12-18 a piece and filled with mainly ice and or a sugary mixer. I definitely expected to spend more with it being Scottsdale but was honestly surprised at the blatant disregard and (what seemed like) deceit from the bartenders.

What a dump and what lousy service and lousy food AND WAIT'LL YOU READ ABOUT THE BILL!

So my wife and I stop in for a mid-week lunch and after 15 minutes of waiting and watching the bartender hang out with some millennial's I finally get up and grab my own menu. We then wait another 5 minutes for someone to actually visit our booth with some water glasses. Then neither the server or the bartender know what dressing comes on the salad. Worse still is when my wife asks if she can substitute anything for the fries she is told "sure you can have a small side salad". Little did we know (because the server didn't tell us) that that was another $2 bucks. OH!!! and have you ever gone to a place that CHARGES FOR THE SALAD DRESSING????? Yup, on top of the rip-off DRY side salad they actually have the gall to charge another $.50 for the salad dressing!! (It's actually broken out that way on the recipt!) THEN on top of that they illegally (well not illegal, but against all credit card merchant rules and regs) they charge another $.89 "Processing Tech Fee 3%" SAY WHAT?! Now I have to pay their cost of doing business? This place reeks of stale, sticky beer, lousy food and horrible service and then piles in erroneous and undisclosed hidden charges to boot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (PS, Attached is a copy of the bill so you can see I am NOT making any of this up! (and it PROVES that we dined there so there can be no doubt). Scottsdale is loaded with great eateries so no need to waste time with this place!

I was here over the weekend with a large group of girls for a bachelorette party. Prior to our arrival, we had been in contact with the VIP Host for weeks. We made it very clear what our expectations would be going into the night (table inside that would accommodate 10 girls) and he assured us this would not be an issue. Once we arrived, we were ushered to a table OUTSIDE by the pool that was facing the bar 3 feet away. First of all, outside was a sad excuse for a club compared to the ambiance inside. Secondly, the seating at the table could accommodate 6 girls at most and that is being generous. After speaking to the manager and showing him the texts that confirmed the table inside, he basically told us they overbooked the tables inside and there is nothing they could do for us besides cut our tab in half. Sure this may sound like a fair compromise in theory, but when you re the only table seated in a section outside that is far too cramped to fit your group and you re stuck staring at a bar all night, you d probably agree this was not the response we were hoping for and definitely not worth the saved money.
Towards the end of the night, we asked to please speak to the manager again. This time we were approached by the female manager. We expressed our frustration with the evening and instead of being understanding and trying to defuse the situation, she became extremely defensive and rude. I have dealt with my fair share of customer service throughout the years and I can assure you this is hands down the WORST customer service I have ever received. I tried to rationalize with her and asked her to put herself in my shoes and the best response she could give me, Well what do you want me to do about it? The night is basically over . I asked her what could she do to make it right and she couldn t give me an answer. She then proceeded to walk away and did not return.
This night had nothing to do with money; it was more about the experience and ensuring our bride-to-be had the time of her life. Unfortunately, to say the night was a huge let down would be an understatement. Someone, somewhere, dropped the ball and failed to make it right and as a result, we were the ones who had to pay for the consequences.

Eventbrite and Maya hours can be different. Shows said 9pm, but they open at 10pm. They can be potentially booked by large events (Stryker) and open doors late like tonight at 11pm. Part of the surgical conference here for the weekend, and bouncer wouldn't let me talk to a rep when you lost their contact.

They raise the prices every two minutes for entrance and I saw the door workers putting that cash in their pockets

Always a good time here if music and people watching is your thing. Drinks are pricey, but expected from a pool club venue in Scottsdale.

I don't go out often. But when I do i always go to Maya best club in town in my opinion. The only problem is that they don't let you lounge by the pool anymore and it was my favorite place to rest every other hour.

First year doing their night swim, never knew they offered it. Very fun as is their day club and regular night club.

Friendly staff always has great DJs. Been partying at this place for 5 years, always a good time. Word to the wise, if you tip the bartenders you won't need to continue to get drinks. They will make every cup count.

TOTAL SCAM OF A NIGHT CLUB

My sister booked a table with one of the club promoters (all of them are children, 21-22 years old) 7 months before my bachelorette party for a bottle service table with a $1,200 minimum. 3 days before my event they emailed her saying the minimum was now $3,000 and if we didn't agree to it we would lose our table. I tried reaching out to the promoters to have a discussion and I just kept getting passed off to another guy, none of them would answer my phone calls and would only send texts saying they would get back to me and never did.

If you book a "VIP" table just be aware that it's a total scam, you have no rights, they say "variable pricing" up to the day of the event which can be anywhere upwards of $1,000 AND they won't give you a contract. Communication is non-existent, good luck trying to get in touch with the club promoters that apparently don't know how to deal with confrontation. Total joke of a business.

Ok. Didn't have that vegas feel. Club was full of fog. Music was ok. No girls hanging from the ceiling like people said there is.

Overall great atmosphere, it has a "Vegas" feel to it. Make sure you come dressed to impress, because there are so many beautiful women on Saturday nights looking for a baller.

Really fun pool party great music tons of eye candy haha just little confused bout the cover because my and my friend were charged to get in but some people in front of us were not ...just seemed a little inconsistent ....just something I noticed while in line

I am appalled at what I just experienced of Maya. I'm planning my Bachelorette trip in Scottsdale in two weeks. Myself and nine of my best friends (one of which happens to be a gay GUY) wanted to reserve a table at Maya. I was offered the "Special Bachelorette Party Pricing" by Clarence, UNTIL we got to the final step and he asked about reservation details to send me a confirmation email about securing the table, and I disclosed there would be one gay male (only because he ASKED about the number of males and number of females - and I honestly had no idea it would matter). Then he responded he could no longer offer me "Special Bachelorette Pricing." That is absurd; a "Bachelorette" trip is a Bachelorette trip regardless of females versus males in attendance; I am no less of a bachelorette nor is it any less of my bachelorette trip for having one male friend there to celebrate, even regardless of orientation. He told me the pricing for the 10 females is the same as for 8 females, but different (much higher) for 9 females and 1 guy or 7 females and 1 guy. Seems asinine and borderline discriminatory, so we decided to find alternate plan; happy to give our business to the many other bars and clubs around Scottsdale.

Miserable experience most of the time. *Warning* - If you go to see a DJ spin and you are not paying for a table then you are worthless. I'ts a huge waste of your time, money and night.
There's no standing room inside during a show, its just a complete cluster as they spend the little space they have to cater to the people buying bottle service. So don't go if you ain't going VIP. Worst part though, was getting blindsided by a bouncer who thinks its OK to assault the very customers that pay his wages. The bouncers out front were fine and the bartenders were nice so its sad to see the bad apples that don't have the intelligence and decency to carry out their job in an honorable manner, bring the staff down as a whole. It's a cowards way to bounce and Maya needs to find professionals who can carry out their simple job without assaulting customers.

Was there for a bit and had fun dancing. Grabbed a drink and the bartender didn't listen when i asked for water 4+ times. Came out of the bathroom and 3 security guards kicked me out randomly. Rather interesting since I had only a couple of drinks for the night and they didn't even have a reason for what they were doing. Super weird. Sitting outside super baffled right now..

Best club in Scottsdale! I met an amazing and beautiful girl there. A very fun atmosphere.

Most mixed drinks (think Long Islands, shots, AMFs) are around $12. Bartenders are competent or can quickly figure out new mixes, however for the price drinks are mixed somewhat light. I'm around 150lbs, not large at all, and 3 Long Islands only gave me a slight buzz. The DJ is one of the best in the valley, so you can avoid random skips into rock songs.

Unfortunatly, that does mean people. I do mean a lot of people, to the point you can't actually reach the dance floor. Bathroom "attendants" are low-pressure and kind, as well.

Overall, I'd visit again.

This place is always a mess. Bouncers are obnoxious, lines are artificially long, and cocaine is everywhere.

There r few things I like more than a pool party & this is both a nightclub & a pool party all in 1. I'll admit the H2O looks a little gross after there has been more people than H2O in it but there's not much that can b done about that. Just make sure u shower off lol

Security are unprofessional looking clowns. Bartenders speant more time on their phones then bartending (Literally, had a bartender text and pour at the same time). It was a joke not even close to upscale and this is Scottdale... Waste of time and money and music sucked..

Definitely a cool college vibe, interesting bar games, but the drinks were incredibly weak and extremely overpriced.

Rude staff, definitely not worth going. Games are okay but bouncers in the front of the bar are extremely sexist, and talk down to women.

The best DJ's from around the world play at this venue. Mayas Halloween was unreal. I've never had a bad night at Maya Day and Nightclub! The staff is very helpful and quick.

VERRRRRY racist club me and my best friend cannot even get in they let several groups of people go in ahead of us(all Caucasians). I proceeded to ask the guard that was letting everyone in why my friend and I were not let in, he said" I only deal with people who have tables". So I proceeded to wait, while no one else is in line and another group of Caucasian girls walk up to the front and I ask do you all have a table and they said no we and the guard proceeds to let them in. So by then I'm left feeling some type of way a, discriminatory type of way so I asked to speak to the manager. I explain to the manager the situation and what had happened and what was the reasoning because it couldn't be because of how we were dressed (Versace dress) and he proceeded to say because "he was trying to be nice", yet not to be arrogant if I had a dollar for every second I am complemented I would own that club. I stated this situation almost comes off racist. The manager did not try to accommodate or even let us in, meanwhile I'm in an appropriate tone and manner I did let him know that I will place this on social media I also let him know that there are a couple of docs from my job that were in there and to make my friend and I feel as if we weren't good enough because of our color was completely profound. I had some coworkers inside and couldn't get a hold of them I ran into one who was on his way in and they let him in no problem( a Caucasian) . I just want the next group of professional beautiful black women who want to go into this club to be aware that not all are accepted. Also I recorded the conversations with both the "security" and management. I posted this on other social media & the BBB and will be in contact soon, I'm so sure!

I like partying at Maya. The drink prices are ridiculous in my opinion (I am frugal and scoff at any mixed drink costing $10+). The girls that work there are smoking hot omg. My sister and a group of her attractive friends were able to get free vip table service with several bottles of free liquor, so if you are hot and have hot friends they will roll out the red carpet for you. The dance floor goes from dead to overly packed on the weekends. The bathrooms are nice with free cologne and stuff like that. I just wish the drink prices were more reasonable and that the dance floor had more space because I love dancing with a little space to actually move.

Spent way too much money for no experience. There were plenty of other people also wasting money and trying their best to enjoy themselves. What is everyone paying for? $50 for three jaeger bombs. Don t waste your time.

Horrible experience at this place! The bottle service/ table service was a complete rip off. Our server was horrible and only came to the table 1-2 times the whole 4 hours we were there. When she did come by she was rude and dismissive. The drinks were incredibly overpriced. To top off this horrible experience, the staff FORGED my friends signature on a FAKE check and illegally tipped our lazy/ rude server an extra $100. DO NOT GO HERE.

About a week ago, I bought tickets online to see 3LAU tonight. I showed up to maya and have been forced to wait in the same line with people who haven't even gotten tickets. I've been waiting for about an hour and I probably have another hour wait to go. I would recommend getting here super
early for a show even if you get your tickets..
