AZ Nightclub Development Corp- The Zone, Club UN, Daqz. Review

Closest thing to Vegas you are going to get in AZ - always have great live DJ's and performers (The Weeknd, Trey Songs, Kygo etc.) for holidays and a good-looking staff. Only place to party in the daytime during summer!

Solid drinks, well-staffed with friendly faces. Great sound system, this place bumps day and night, just like the name. Speaking of names, great people come here, making this a got spot year-round.

Quite a horrible experience. We were offered a table and free bottle service if we gave them our ID and credit card (poor decision on our part). Considering the atmosphere we obviously got intoxicated and then unfortunately forgot our documents there. When we returned to get our stuff back they didn t have it and said they gave it back to us, showing us my forged signature stating we have them a $100 tip. The manager Pete was extremely unprofessional and didn t even bat an eye when we tried to explain to him that it was not our signature and we did not leave that tip and how I never revived my credit card and ID back. The cops had to get involved and we received our money back only because my credit card company got involved as well. Horrible experience and put a damper on my bachelorette. I will never recommend this establishment.

Wow. Never have I had such a bad experiece in my life like I did with Maya. Paid to see legendary Paul Oakenfold. Seen him numerous times in LA, Las Vegas, and Chicago spanning decades. Even seen him at Maya before. We are known to be well mannered, respectful people. Maya is not what it used to be. They will randomly pick someone to throw out. Unlucky if its you. Then they will double charge your tab. Just dont go. If you do, never open a tab and leave your card ever. Never ever been treated like I have with these rude scammers im. It seems they look for people to toss out, to make room for other payers.

This is probably my last time for awhile at Maya. It's unfortunate but the staff seems to have a cloud around them. Extremely unfriendly security. The bartenders do not smile or say thank you no matter how nice you are. If everyone seems to hate their jobs then it isn't a place I want to come back to. I hope things improve.

. It's a massive pool banger 7 days a week. Bottle/tables start at 2 bills? The sound system is BUMPIN! Who wants to throw my birthday party here for me?

This place may be the single most awful place in Scottsdale. To begin with, it is FILTHY. The pool is literally a nasty trough of awfulness, and probably the most unsanitary, unhygienic thing ever. (I don't want to describe the horrors of what I saw, but PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS were in there floating).
Also, the mere ability to enter this place is a total pain, with rude bouncers that are itching for fights, bartenders that cannot make a proper drink to save their lives, and some of the weaker music in all of Old Town. Add to it the place is notorious for discriminating against gays and minorities, and attempting to overcharge patrons that have been drinking. Finally, there's videos out there of staff NOT WASHING their hands. You'd be better off going to LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

The staff were amazing tonight, I was treated Great by my bartender and Kassi Jayde was musical perfection. I will watch social media and when she is back so will I be. Thank you Maya for a great Denver Bronco pre-game party

Great crowd but on a weekend, be prepared to spend $1500 (starting)in drinks, as a group, for a seating area.

Service was laughably bad a place like this has no market for a daytime crowd when their servers haven't slept cuz they were out all night partying the night before.

Apparently this club doesn't care if their customers get roofied. Don't go here literally go anywhere else.

Probably the closest thing you will get to an actual night club in Old town. Good sound system and decent lights make it a bare but fun setup for live shows. Table service here is a bit of a joke but... There are tables. I would say the day/pool club is at a higher level but over all 4/5.

Except when you drive from the other side of the valley to be told "21 and over, they cut off minors once the alcohol sales pass the food sales".

Venue was great, DJ they had playing... not so much. Still my date and I had fun and would definitely go again!

I like the club house better without the pool. So many fun games and great music!

Edit: Erik, we were charged $23 + tip for 2 well vodka drinks. Please don't come at me like I don't know what I was charged or what I ordered. Maybe your staff is overcharging and pocketing the difference, it's not uncommon.

Cool looking club, but the drink prices are absolutely insane; 2 with a tip will run you $25 (and those were for well vodka)

Main problem: we were here last night. The security guards were rude all night, and at one point apparently needed to carry something resembling a coffee table through the crowd. They basically mowed down anyone who was in their way, no 'excuse me', not even making eye contact with anyone. Girls were yanking their friends aside lest they be trampled.
I was texting someone and didn't see this parade of goons appear... They pushed me aside and knocked my phone out of my hand. So now I'm spending my Saturday dropping $300 on a new phone, because glass iPhone + concrete floor = nope.

There are certain things that are just hazards of night clubs; had this been a drunk girl falling on me or something, I wouldn't be so upset. But this was the club's staff that is supposed to keep everyone safe, not break their stuff and be rough with a bunch of women. Not cool.

Me and my girlfriends went here 2 weekends ago and really enjoyed the place. Drinks were great, music was great. Security was a little rough but that equals to a safe environment. Plus the one that s really buff looks so good, me and my gals were eye balling him so much lol. But we definitely give this place a two thumbs up and are coming back soon! If you re in Scottsdale, looking for a great time. This is the place!!

Reasonable drink prices with an amazing atmosphere. This place is a giant pool party. I will go back next time I'm in Phoenix.

Fun environment with games such as trash can beer pong, corn hole, ping pong, and skee ball. It is very crowded and people bump into you without saying, "excuse me". Club attendants are rude, but the club staff is nice.

Each and every time that I tried to visit this establishment I was denied access because of my attire. I honestly don t want to play the race card, but I ve seen people coming out of this establishment dressed like they were coming from the gym. My clothes are not baggy nor do I wear gym shoes to the club...... so what else would be the problem.

Became too packed to walk anywhere within the club, and drink prices are very high for the watered down drinks you order. Not and upscale or classy place to go, even with the VIP seating.

I paid 12 dollars for a vodka soda with no vodka and just soda. I m a chemist and confirmed this place is a fraud.

Went to see Laidback Luke in August 2014. Awesome place. Drinks a bit pricy but other than that, great establishment. Pretty packed for a Sunday, which surprised me in a good way.

This is quite possibly one of the worst nightclub experiences you can imagine. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Where to start: the club is drastically overpriced for what it offers. It has a small disgusting pool, and the actual dancefloor is perpetually overcrowded. This place has absolutely no class or crowd control. Drinks are hard to get, patrons are constantly getting in fights with each other, belligerent rabid pea-brained bouncers are getting in fights with patrons, and the whole venue has an awful antagonistic vibe to it.

They claim good DJs, but the sound system is very poor. The doormen and bouncers on the whole are racist as well. They've frequently turned down my friends of color, or made them pay more, or wait longer. The manager Sean McClelland is a colossal lying, dishonest piece of trash. Even the bartenders are corrupt and attempt to shortchange you, both by watering down drinks and ripping you off.

Cocaine is openly being dealt in the club, especially at the cabanas. The corrupt Scottsdale Police, which are getting paid by the club, see it but simply turn the other way, but then are quick to harass other patrons at the club's instruction.

Finally, the bathrooms are filthy. The dancefloor itself is filthy and disgusting, and extremely sticky. It thinks it's a Vegas club, but it is the opposite of one. It has a shoddy clientele, poor facilities that are kept in a gross manner, and rampant overcrowding. Save your money, and go absolutely anywhere else.

Good food and drinks. As the day gets later, definitely more of a younger crowd, 20s and up to mid 30s mostly.

Maya is high end club in Old Town Scottsdale that is hard to miss. The big white facade and colored lights attract many party goers. Inside they have three bars one on either side of the dance floor and one on the patio. They host a lot of great artists. Seasonally they have pool parties out on the patio which are really fun.

Attended Gareth Emery's concert. Loved the ambience and music. Artist was really wonderful.

About what one would expect from an old town Scottsdale venue. Nothing is particularly unique or exciting about this location. If you're looking for some cntrl+c, cntrl+v nightlife then it has good sound and lighting.

I love what they've done with the place for winter! I previously only went to this club in the summer for the pool parties, but they seem to change things up for winter. We planned on bar hopping but managed to stay within Maya/District the entire time! They had several games, a quesadillas/taco stand, and a great variety of music.

Come early we waited in a 1 1/2 hour line, with payed tickets. Other than that it was a amazing time with a great DJ!

The VIP host Clarence is one of the worst in the day party game. Literally, I have had 4 interactions with him and 1 good and the rest, I would never recommend him. One of the security guards spilled a paid bottle and he said he would take care of it with a comp bottle. The next time I went to maya he said I had to but a 350 bottle to get my comp one. He doesn't understand customer service. I will never order a table through him.

Indoor/outdoor club/bar. Cool place with lots of games. Reminded me of a Vegas spot... COVER CHARGE

Holy balls, I ve never even heard of a club that can beat this. I doubt Pacha could beat the atmosphere!

Security as mentioned is a bit rougher than other places I ve been to, they re on a hair trigger and you don t seem to get the benefit of the doubt. Let s just say if I had bad people and negotiating skills I would have been kicked out.

I felt obligated to come see this place because it seemed like nothing else, definitely worth it and more. If you re from Denver, there s just nothing like this; no way to describe this place. It just feels really exclusive and like you re at a Hollywood Hills mansion party. The venue is huge even without the pool. It s like a dream. Don t wake me up!

Besides the HORRIBLE service this place FORGED MY TIP AND SIGNATURE ON A FAKE RECEIPT AND OVERCHARGED MY CARD. I have never written a review but am so appalled that an establishment would steal and forge receipts and signatures that I had to leave a review. I should have read the reviews beforehand all detailing similar experiences of waitresses and staff adding their own tip and forging others receipts and signatures. Also their employee Pete Sakowski was extremely unhelpful and rude and knowingly allowed this blatant forgery and theft.

Got molested. Cool atmosphere. Good music. Good drinks. But the men on the dance floor were molesting us and there was no security so it totally ruined our fun

This club is off the hook. One of the most popular clubs in Scottsdale. It is not easy to get a table on the fly so plan in advance.

The place is ok but the bouncers they are rude the people's inside is a joke I being several times and I never had fun the music was horrible I rather to go to Dakota much better place and much better music if it was for me not even a star

We bout a $700 vip spot at this club and got kicked out after my husband called the manager a cuss word because he picked up my phone and after my husband told him nicely that the phone was his wife's phone the manage (the one with a big beard) still continued to try to get into my phone my husband finally told him again rudely and the minute my husband did that, the guy told us we were out.

I asked my husband to apologize, which he did and I spoke kindly to the man and he said I dont care you guys are still out!

I told him I would be writing this review because no one should be kicked out spending that kind of money for something so stupid. First of all, he should have given my phone back to my husband instead of messing with my personal property that was in our vip area we paid for.

We went to another club after this and the bouncer there even told us that didn't surprise him one bit. That they are all rude over at Maya.

Update*** For some reason I am not allowed to respond to the manager's comment but you have the story all wrong. We have witnesses that were there. It's sad that you don't take care of your VIP's. I guess you know the next group will pay for a spot so you just don't care.

Customer service was pretty good. Beautiful atmosphere. Good music. Etc

My friend was drugged and security threw her out into the street. I do not recommend going to this club and the ownership can rest assured that all action will be taken to hold them accountable under the law.

You guys have taste in line up and european grimmy feel and staffing all thats needed. Security did a great job and were very patient and respectful on every level. First club that checked for weapons since anytime I visited that side of town. My friend if didn't ruin attempt before would be the first to say for anyclub in that location, responsibility is reflected in appreciation. Also thanks to a fella who saved my coat from being thrown to area were it did not belong. He took the moment to listen instead of dismissing. Might be vip security, or floor manager. For the rest employees, just need a little encouraging to some that looked a little careless, they did a great job but few just seemed exhausted. Expand on world class djs who are there until the dawn (if possible). I know opportunity should be to every artist, but line up like yours made me feel guilty about investing $75 on tickets alone, and only by personal circumstance I made it to one of 3 events attempted. Great ticket prices btw. Totaly expand in into your game room, I guess not everyone was playing but some productive crowds. Thank you, I got to hear my song done right the way it should be.

This place is a blast can be overpriced at times but a big name DJ and a pool during the day and sometimes a famous rap artist inside at night. Probably the best place to go dancing

I keep calling this number here every day to try to get a hold of some one to answer some questions i have but no one has ever picked up all week!

We have been here for a few different DJ venue's and have never had a problem. The maya can get a bit crowded but it had always been a good time.

One of the better clubs in my opinion for Old Town. They always have a great alcohol menu and it's usually a guaranteed good time mostly unless something crazy or totally off the wall happens, but I definitely well have to say that this place is one of a kind and would recommend to any of my friends or anyone that's looking for a good time. I also have just started working with the whole Golf Cart Industry in that area, BIG money, and definitely a great way to get around, but I also send any people asking or looking for somewhere to have fun or anything like that, the first and only place I tell or recommend to anyone asking... 5 stars!!!!

Nice club that has plenty of restrooms and great globally known djs. Tickets are always reasonably priced.

Been here several times, usually a decent time but this one Sunday afternoon I showed up wearing denim shorts on a Sunday funday. The two girls I was with also had denim shorts on. They let the girls in cause they were hot, then as soon as they were past the door the bouncer stopped me and said I couldn t get in cause of mine. I literally pointed at them but he didn t care guys can t whatever won t be back

We were here for a private event, part of a wedding party. They covered the pool with a wood and faux grass floor so we could use the area with several local restaurants manning "food trucks" around the main area. Kids loved the space to run around and the different games at the far end of the club. Since it's essentially a giant courtyard we had a beautiful view of the night sky. Really loved the space for our private event, I would love to see it as a nightclub as well.

got a table and bottle service but they double charged some of the drinks without us knowing. when we called to straighten it out, they said they didn't have a breakdown of what we ordered. the waitresses completely take advantage of tipsy people. even after we specifically told her not to bring any more bottles even if we ask, she brought a bottle and forced one of our friends to pay. she claimed it was the nightclubs policy to tip 20% which turned out to be true but she never explained it (so watch out for that). they need to make that policy more public because it was not written anywhere on the menus. only saving grace was that the owner was actually super helpful in figure out and sorting everything out. so at the end of the day, the waitresses really were to blame, but thank you erik.

THE GOODS: I've been to Maya 3 times previously (Twice to see Diplo; Once to see GTA). Never had any problems with the line or the bouncers. The sound system inside was insane, really captivates you when you are in the crowd and the big-time DJ is spinning. In short: Beautiful and friendly staff, great pool during the day, cocktails and drinks are normal "Scottsdale" prices, amazing DJs are featured almost every weekend.

Went to a show marketed for noon on sunday, but they didn't open the doors till 12:40, and actual act didn't come on till around 3:30-4pm. Meanwhile the music was garbage, like skrillex just vomited at 190db. The pool is neat, but the place was way overpacked and just left our group uncomfortable.

This place it's awesome, just it's hard to get parking, but the places it's awesome and the sound it's awesome too, the drinks price it's fine.

$50 for a ticket last night, stayed in line from 10:15pm - 1:30am before I left... Watched tons of people skip the lines because they "knew someone" Very disorganized, waste of time and money... Cool place if you can get in, but I would not recommend. It's Scottsdale, not Las Vegas...

Don't go here unless you support homophobia. This sum place turned away a friend of mine at their bar last night because of his sexuality. They would rather lose a potential customer and thier money than be accepting, decent human beings and let my friend enjoy his night. I'm never going here and neither will any friends or family of mine.

This is a fun and unique club. Indoor/outdoor with a pool.
