Fish tacos are delicious.

They have a really great happy hour!

Clean and bright inside. Good place to meet up for coffee and breakfast tacos with your brothers, which is what I did last weekend. Food is good. Not great, but it's a very reliable tex mex option for the bulverde/spring branch area.

Bruh it was dank. And omg the dosarita is to die for homie.

New upgraded menu & bar drinks. Friendly staff & clean place. Delicious & fair prices & I'd say big on portion sizes. A great place & choice!!

My husband is a Mexican food fanatic. We have lived in Bergheim for years and never eaten here for dinner. The other night we decided to go. It was crowded so we did the drive thru (covid safe.) The chicken puffy tacos were amazing. My husband was raving! I had the green chicken enchiladas. They were excellent. White queso is fantastic. We will most definitely be back soon.

Nice atmosphere with friendly and helpful management and staff. Good drinks and food, this was our first visit. And we really enjoyed it.

Awesome food. Prices are good not cheap but not to expensive. Service was on top of everything. Never had to ask for drinks to be refilled. Atmosphere was cozy and quiet.

Their food tastes pretty good for the area. I was pretty much done eating at so many fast food joints I had to eat here. They do have a drive thru which is convenient if you don't want to dine in, but it does take a while for food to be ready.

Food was ok. Server was nice and attentive.
Plate prices are high for Mexican food but decent a la carte options and senior menu if the server remembers to honor it.
But dining area and under table floors were full of chips and messy. No beans included in the steak and egg plate. Senior priced breakfast taco was not applied by server. Puffy taco was small. Service is better than several other establishments in this area which can be hit or miss.

So happy and appreciative of Ay Chiwawa as they opened their dining room today! Perfect experience! Safe, sanitary, distance dining...most clients clapped for the manager and servers and shared how excited they were to eat lunch inside a restaurant after so long. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to have a TASTE of normalcy.

Chips were a little stale, food was okay at best, and the service was a little slow, but all of the staff were masked and gloved and observing social distancing. TLDR: average at best.

The burrito was huge, (could have been hotter) & the beef fajitas were excellent. Service was excellent, too.

I hate giving this review! The fajitas were so perfect and amazing! I would know as I only ever order fajitas at Mexican restaurants. I have had them every where. Beef! And that's always a coin toss. Good beef fajitas are hard to master. The meat was so tender and flavorful.
I hate giving this review because then people will go and love it and my best fajita secret is out and now it's too busy. This is what will happen. But they earned it. OUTSTANDING!!!!

Honestly our favorite thing to do om the weekend since quarantine has been to go to Ay Chiwawa get ourselves breakfast tacos and chips and queso. It is the most pleasant breakfast routine I can get and we love it. They are always fresh and clean and leaves you feeling great. Thank you for the great, easy, price efficient, delisicious breakfast week after week!

Food is pretty good. Reasonably priced. Adult beverages are a hit and miss. But over all love this.

Excellent food and service.
Prices are decent for the good sized portions and high quality of food served.
As should be expected at a real restaurant it's bussy @ lunch and dinner so expect a wait if going during those times.

The food was good and the margaritas and service were excellent but the atmosphere and ambiance is less than desirable. During the day for lunch it's fine but in the evening for dinner the lights are terribly bright, glaring and harsh. They need to dim the lighting and make it a more relaxing and appealing atmosphere. When we left my husband said 'lets not ever eat there again, the lights are just terrible and too bright and overwhelm the senses.'

Wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't good. Service was friendly and quick but the food was very bland.

This Mexican restaurant is new to our neighborhood. Best salsa around.

New restaurant and just had to try it out. This place didn't disappoint. We had barbacoa tacos= good, fajita taco plate = good, bean and cheese nachos= good, tostada compuesta= good.
Restaurant and bathroom were very nice and clean.
Waitress was good but seemed busy and/ or short staffed.
Definitely will return.

The food was alright but all around a bit stale. The atmosphere, however, was way too sterile. (aside from the mouse trap I saw outside)

Very good food. American mexican dishes. Excellent chips and salsa. My first visit and it was pleasant.

Ehh food was alright, not anything amazing. And the waitress was RUDE until she saw how much of a tip she was getting, then she was the sweetest woman ever... I didn't get a refill on my drink until after the tip. LOL

Nice atmosphere, one of the few place in the area to sit and eat. Menu was well-rounded. Chips and salsa are good.

This is a great place to eat. Breakfast and lunch were outstanding. Friendly service and clean establishment.

The service here is TOP NOTCH!!!! It s so amazing infact, I decided to call over the manager to my table and tell him how happy I was myself. The food was great. I had the chili relleno and cup or tortilla soup. My server was so cheerful and even surprised me with little strawberry candies with my check.
I will definitely be back!!!

So I enter this place (dressed in church casual) there are a few families in que and the girl at the counter (some for of maitre D') asks me after she sees me loitering about for several moments.... if she has my name on the list? " I just arrived I said"..... Did you want to eat? " Umm yes that would be nice". Okay are you on the list yet? " No ma'am I've just arrived" Do you like need to go on the list or something?
Wow..... The last thing a patron in any establishment wants is to enter the place and stand around wondering if there is a list, where is the list, who's in charge of the list and only to discover the girl in charge of said list is in fact an nincompoop.....food is decent. Server was great. Maitre D' needs to go back to 5th grade and start life over.

Very nice Tex-Mex place to sit down and enjoy with family and friends. Friendly employees and owner/manager. Great food!

Honestly, I liked it. Food was fresh and tasted pretty good. The setting is quiet and easy to access and the staff was very nice. Portions are excellent.

It was pretty good. I got cheese enchiladas which were on the greasy side. Queso is pricey and on the bland side. It was fine, I'm just used to spicey queso. Everything else was great. Iced tea was just excellent, as was service!

Really nice place, tasty food & good service. it feels like it's a really fancy restaurant but I feel its something an average worker can afford for lunch. I loved the queso and chips

I would not recommend this establishment. The staff is very rude, the food is subpar and our party was glared at by an older women with glasses and light hair our entire meal. Our whole party noticed and she was standing very close to the table just watching us all eat and making a very displeasing face, it made everyone uncomfortable and overall was a terrible dining experience. I m visiting from Kentucky and wanted to try the food here and it was a horrible idea ! I still am in shock by how we were treated, I ve never been so discriminated against in my life. Shame on the entire establishment for allowing their staff to behave in such a manner ! The manager didn t even come over to apologize, I am ashamed my family had to spend their money on a business who clearly does NOT value customers at all.

Good food at reasonable price and service is great.

The Enchiladas de Mole were very good, and the tea was good as well.

Went to the other location with friends and Oscar the waiter gave us poor service. We are regular customers but were not treated as such. I ordered a mango margarita and there was an up charge that he failed to inform us I normally get a pomegranate and he felt it was not his duty to inform us of their prices

They lost my friends and my business due to the poor service and no appreciation of our business.

When there for breakfast at 8:30am not to busy and breakfast was very good and staff friendly

This a great place to eat however their in consistency in their portions is frustrating. We order taco salad double meat..keto I have 5 pieces of chicken. When I did this 2 weeks ago it was a great portion size... flavor is amazing we drive from canyon lake passing many places for their food.

I have been here several times now. While I am never wowed, I am also never disappointed. Good service. Great biscuits. Little seasonings.

Finally we have a place to eat out here in Spring Branch much needed location!

My server was very kind and the food was good, but it was not until hours later when I discovered I had gotten food poisoning from the salsa. My leftovers (which wasn t salsa) did not give me such pain. Please be wary and smell the salsa before you eat it.

NOT FAMILY/ GROUP FRIENDLY- We had a party of over 13 members of our family come to this establishment to enjoy food and drinks after a baby shower this Saturday (all of which came from out of state) Shortly upon arrival I noticed there were MULTIPLE staff members standing by glaring at our table. Confused I asked our party how long this has been going on and they said since arrival. My mother let my 17 year old brother try a SIP of her beer (legal in Texas) and a staff member said no under age drinking was allowed, my mother stated she let him have a TINY sip and nothing more was said. We order food and our bill was well over $200 at this point, they waited until we had order food to tell us we were not allowed to order any alcohol, our party ages 16-78 had one beer per person (those who were 21+) at this point as we were celebrating a new arrival into our family. They clearly wanted to make sure we spent money on food before cutting us off, no one was intoxicated mind you and no policy was posted saying that a parent couldn t let there child try some of their drink -please note you are allowed to drink with your guardian in Texas even though in this case that was NOT what was happening- The glares continues throughout our ENTIRE meal. The most uncomfortable experience I ve ever had at an establishment and I frequently traveling the country visiting popular food destinations. Having a staff member with arms crossed stare you down while you try to eat your food is beyond uncomfortable. We spent so much money and we were treated like less than human. We live less than .5 miles away and it s clear why our neighbors do not visit this establishment. We were a large party and they were so disrespectful not even the manager could be bother to come address the situation or even apologize. We will NEVER be back, horrid service, very uncomfortable, and subpar food. I can t believe they would treat a FAMILY party in this manner. Shame on you ! What should have been a celebration of life turned into a VERY uncomfortable experience so much so that my pregnant sister was in tears !! The fact that any establishment would position people near a table to glare them down is horrid. You should be ashamed

Amazing service even though we showed up right before closing. Good food. Best service we've had in San Antonio. He was right on top of refills and went above and beyond offering different salsas, keeping those topped off and chips.

Friendly service. Great food. We had the mole enchiladas, Huarecha, and Wawa Burrito.

I was so disappointed! Food was cold and nothing like Mexican food. The fish tacos were so hot that I couldn't even eat. I think it was the sauce inside the taco.

If I could give negative stars I would. BE CAREFUL OF RAW CHICKEN!!!

Our experience started good but quickly went downhill. Chips and salsa were good and our server was on top of our drinks. My wife and I both ordered grilled chicken. Let me first say that the black beans had a layer of grease on top. Then we noticed that my wife s chicken was raw!! We pointed out the chicken to a server who agreed and offered to bring her a new chicken dish or anything else she wanted. Not wanting to chance it, my wife decided to have the fish tacos instead. (BTW, If you order fish tacos, the boom sauce is thousand island dressing). When we got our bill we noticed that we were charged for the fish tacos...which cost more. We pointed it out to our server and she offered to talk to a manager. She brought the bill back and said he adjusted the bill $.50 so we were charged for the price of the chicken. We then asked to speak with the manager and I gave him the following feedback. When you send a customer raw chicken and you don t offer to comp their meal, you send the message to the customer that that is an acceptable mistake and quite honestly it doesn t make me want to come back. He then pointed out that my wife ate the fish tacos. We will never go back and everyone we meet will hear about our experience there.

Superior service and food..David, the shift mgr mid afternoon was helpful with suggestions and great service. Had the Poblano Enchiladas...the creamy sauce to die for. Husband had Puffy Tacos...great! You will not leave hungry...the enchiladas and tacos stuffed full with the beef or chicken. Extensive menu selections and bar looks well stocked...will go back later in the day and try a Margarita..full bar..beer, liquor. David kept us supplied with the extremely good salsaS..yes, 3 different kinds..regular, charred and an extremely hot green one he cautioned us about. Nice ambience, outdoor patio for evening...we will be returning for lunch after HEB or meeting friends for later in the day. David will take good care of you....

Good new addition to the Bulverde/Spring Branch area. Good food.
