Was hoping to get a good lunch and gamble a little. Only 2 places in the food court were open. Glad for the golf cart valet service. I would recommend carts with protection from the elements. It was raining when we were there

To put it simple, it's a great hotel. Awesome movie theater, great rooms, and an awesome beach by the Colorado River. Half off, good deal for the buffet; just didn't like the buffet service. I would prefer Getting my own drinks instead of only one drink the entire time. And hot bowls for the ice cream, really? Who wants melted ice cream? Other than that, bingo was fun and a great place for kids too.

The buffet was good.

The buffet was good.
It ends there.
Don't try getting a coffee at 6:15 am.. they will look at you like they don't speak English.
A gal at the cafe suggested that I got sit at a slot machine and will get served there..
When coffee was finally available. The young people at Mojave roast coffee kiosk were nice and helpful. There was one old, short, slow, fat and rude lady that should be put out to pasture.
We walked away from the stand and left the resort earlier..

AVI, is our favorite place. We go quite a bit, and everything is great. Front check desk, they are always cheerful , helpful. Rooms are always nice, clean. Housekeeping is great. The casino is always fun. Great bartenders are the best. Love the beach. Everytime we go go, I always spend 1 day, all day on the beach. Parking is easy. All the employees are always helpful. My opinion. .....AVI is the best place on the river. See you soon AVI.

Rooms need updating.

Rooms need updating.
Casino personnel were helpful and friendly.
Restaurants that we went to provided good food and great service, especially the Moonshadow Grille.
Our issues were with reservations and front desk. Reservations were for 2 King, Non-Smoking rooms. We checked in very near check in time at 4. We had smoking rooms, one was a King, the other was a room with 2 Queens. Front desk was very short with us saying those were the only rooms available to us. Seems they know how to take a reservation, but they have trouble holding the reservation. We find this unacceptable if reservations mean anything.
To the owner, I had not filled out a survey. Did not have that opportunity. Thank you for responding.

Since this hotel replied to my 1 star, i will tell my experience, which i didnt want to tell at first because im not a complainer. The room and bathroom was so horrible, omg it was out of the 1950s and smelled like it. It was just absolutely terrible, ive NEVER slept in worse conditions in my entire life, we contiplated leaving immediately and not letting our 3 children sleep there, but it was our first vacation over a holiday weekend and we paid a lot for everything because it was a holiday weekend.

Then we paid for a cabana at the pool, which was expensive but worth it. We had a great comfortable spot by the pool and got to see the fireworks. The only bad part is it was so crowded the water was so discusting and yellow. I decided lets just work with this, everyone else is. Well I noticed a bite or something on my daughters forehead but didnt think too much about it, i asked her if she remembered hitting herself she said no, and we went home that night.

In the morning, my daughters forehead and eye was so swollen, i was horrified when i saw her face. I took her to the ER and they said she had an infection which is common from dirty pools. She got put on a steroid that could cause liver failure and 2 other medications and she has a tiny scar. Neverrrr again will i stay at any place that is this below par. I will pay hundreds of more dollars to ensure my family is comfortable and in a clean safe environment next time.

We didnt gamble or partake in buffet food so cant comment on any of that, other then if below par is your thing, come here, otherwise save your money and go to a nicer and luxurious hotel. And FYI, im half native american and my family didnt live in conditions like this even though they grew up in adobe houses.

The Avi Resort is mediocre. The attraction to this resort is their large beautiful pool and jacuzzi area and their sandy beach (lagoon). They have their own rental facility on the property for jet skiis. Their dinner buffet restaurant is sad. We ate dinner on a Sunday and the choices were limited compared to the buffet at the Aquarius. The dinner food at the Avi buffet did not look appetizing at all. I was most comfortable with eating a salad and desserts. Breakfast at the Cafe is better, but it is cafe food. The rooms are outdated. I recommend requesting a river view room in the Beach tower. For lunch or late night eats, they have Subway, Sbarro's, Panda Express, and Thrifty ice cream. My favorite thing at Avi is their theater. $9 for a ticket. Great fireworks here on the 4th of July which started around 9pm. It gets really crowded, gnats are bothersome, decent DJ, but a fog of heavy smoke covered the area for almost an hour before the fireworks.

Went to the buffet. Not a big selection for lunch. Bbq chicken was really dry, desserts were old and dry. Probably won't go back for lunch during the week. Maybe options are better on the weekend..

We had a good time gambling in the casino while we were taking a break from the heat. The tables have low minimum bets, which is good for quick bits of gambling. The drinks were a bit watered down, but were free when sitting at a table.

We stayed here over the 4th of July. We have been to the Avi a number of times over the past 5 years, and it seems like it has become more dirty and run down since we first started going. The rooms themselves are fine, basic and are pretty spacious, but the hotel and especially the pool was somewhat dirty. The ice machine on our floor never worked over the 3 days we were there, and I tried at least 4 other ice machines on other floors/in other wings that were not working, either. Besides that, they are REALLY disgusting!! I can only imagine the nasty stuff that must be living inside them (look below in the area under where you put the bucket and you will see what I mean--mold??). They actually had NO towels at all at the pool on the 4th of July (they arrived at 3pm that day), and the water at both pools was cloudy and appeared to be dirty. I know that there are a LOT of people using them, but there was sand/dirt at the bottom of the kids pool that was there the first day and as well as the last. However, the fireworks show they do is FANTASTIC so that redeemed our stay a bit. Overall it was just OK, not sure we will be returning anytime soon.

When we are staying on the Colorado river.

When we are staying on the Colorado river.
We prefer to stay at the Avi Hotel & Casino.
They have great entertainers, and there Casino is loads of fun.
We have visitedall of Laughlins Casinos.
We prefer to stay and play at the Avi, 20 minutes south of the Laughlin hotel and Casinos. If someone wants to experience day play, and night time excitement. I highly recommend the Avi resort.

Avi is a one-stop shop for just about all your vacation needs. They have several great places to eat, live entertainment, gambling, a beautiful pool, even a beach and movie theater. The rooms were adequate, nothing special, but they were clean. Staff was very friendly, and they offer free covered parking, as well as the option for valet.

The KOA rv park nice but being KOA its really overpriced.
At 600+ monthly rate for long term visitors I will never sray there.
RV parks in Bullhead are 400+ and location is much better for walking to other hotels.
AVI is ok but not for RVers on a buget.

Avi is fantastic!! The staff are efficient and friendly and the rooms are clean!! Bed is comfy! I appreciated not having to walk my grandchildren through a smoke filled environment in order to get to our hotel room, restaurants, and the pool/river!! They had a blast!! A word of caution ... the temperature of the sand at the riverfront seems to soar greater than the air temperature ... wear aqua shoes or tennis shoes!!!

Checked in and went to wash our hands in the sink, brown water started to come out of it and would not drain. Called the front desk and they sent the maintenance man who proceeded to work on the sink. Had to dismantle the pipes which created a very foul smell. Called the front desk again to change rooms and they gave us another room down the hall. Second room was fine.

We stayed here 2 different times over a 2 week period. First time we had 2 rooms, a handicap room for my 82 year old mom, and a room for my husband and I. The handicap room was in rough shape. First the refrigerator was very dirty. The shower was a roll in, there was a strip along front on floor that was loose, the shower did not drain so bathroom got alot of water all over. My 82 year old mom tried wiping it up. The front desk was informed, but they seemed not to care. Other room had been remodeled which was nice, but was not cleaned. I believe the sheets were changed and clean towels, that about it.
We had reservations for a week later for just one room. We had a handicap room. We came back giving them another chance. Again issues. The bathroom sink was hanging, only thing holding it up was the pipe on the bottom. We called front desk they switched us to a different room and said they were sorry. Next morning at 10am, and on a Monday, I went up to front desk asked to speak to a manager, girl at front desk was nice, said just a minute went to get someone. Came back said no manager on duty. Guess the manager didn't want to address the issue.
To bad a handicap room has so many issues. Not good.
