Avi Resort Review

A great place to lay my head after a busy day on the river!

We enjoyed our stay there. Received coupon for discout on food so we had a great breakfast at Feathers. Big parking lot where RVs can dry camp. Thank you, AVI.

Its a casino with a huge variety of machines to win on..thats what i said..WIN on! I always walk out a winner here, food is good, free drinks from bar brought to you in a timely manner! (unlike some casinos that have the worst customer service it just boggles your mind sometimes how really unfriendly the staff is..not mentioning any names cause im not like that, but man Pechanga, you know who you gotta admit im right.

On June 24, 2018 a friend and I drove to Avi in Laughlin from Las Vegas as we do quite often because we love the staff, food, and scenery. Hate to report this time was not as great of an experience as all the other times. I had to ask for a water for myself (as my friend had a cup served to him) I guess I shouldn't have asked for the water because it taste just like fish water and that's putting it nicely, which made me scared to drink anything else or trust the food being the water was so extremely horrible. Later I saw on the news something about Laughlin water had to be boiled, well they did not bother to boil it but still served it...waist of a drive this time Avi ;(

I obtained two nights lodging via a cash donation to a charitable organization to which your Resort had donated to. Upon arrival, the front guest receptionist Patti, who also happens to be one of your supervisor, seemed indifferent to us, never even making eye contact or welcoming us to the resort, handed me keys to our room. The room was located in the worst possible place at the resort, through dusty hallways, construction, and filth. The room had a combination heater/cooling system that was louder than the jets on our airplane forcing us to stay awake all night. The toilet was loose and wobbly onto the floor, shower stained with rust and severely antiquated. When the front desk was contacted that we needed another pillow and an altogether missing door "Do Not Disturb" plaque, it was only after 2 additional calls were made to the desk along with me chasing down some of your employees and having to stay in the room for over an hour and a half waiting for the items before we could settled in to the room.
The next morning, we took a walk around your resort and realized that there was another tower of rooms available which would have been so much better.
My question upon checkout was, why was it that a guest who had contributed to an organization which you sponsor would be treated so disgustingly and why when the hotel was at a below 60% occupancy level (clerk verified this) would we be put into such a substandard room. All the checkout clerk could do was apologize and wonder with us why Patti, and your organization, would do this to us.

Good buffet and cool little casino from the Indian reservation

Well what can I say.. you win some and you lose some at your average casino. However, this casino was definitely not your average! The Food court was great! Staff was friendly, the atmosphere was very positive and I doubled my money within 5 minutes! Definitely a must when traveling. 5 stars!

Stopped in for Sunday morning brunch, very clean and fresh. Hope to stay here in the future.

The reason I'm giving this resort 5 stars is due to the exceptional service. I've never stayed anywhere with such amazing and kind customer service. The housekeeper went well above her normal duties to make sure we were more comfortable. The resort itself is dated, but you'll never find nicer people.

Clean but a little old. Staff excellent. Lots of fun with the casino and golf and restaurants. Weather beautiful. Stop by if you are near there. Laughlon near by if you want to shop.

I love the area, such as the river and the theater, but the service is okay

Very disappointed, hadn't been back here for awhile and it seemed very very dead at this time plus slots are very tight!

All around awful! The only smile, "hello", & how ya doing came from the security checking temperatures. Check in was quick but not friendly at all acting like we were a problem and there was no other guest there. Went to get a players or member card and although my license expired during the shut down and I had my paperwork & receipt for renewal dated the day DMV opened they still declined me, Disappointed I couldn't use my senior benefits for my 50yh Bday. The bathroom in our room dripped loudly, no coffee in rooms, never got any of the 5 drinks I ordered from cocktail server, but whay I think the worst was no one smiled at all!!!!

Awesome place to unstress. Lovely, friendly dealers and with a sportbook there. So plenty of fun.

Love it! Clean, lots of action,spas in the rooms. Gift shop, restaurants, great customer service, great entertainment.

i eat here alot with my parenrs..im almost 60 and they are in their 80s..great place all around

This place gave me a resort feel. Best beach, pleasant employees, not very smokey.
The only casino I won at.
I would recommend Avi to all. It was the cleanest casino I visited.
Best pool as well and the food tasted like food. There is no reason to stay on the strip ever.

Went for two for one buffet it was delicious as always service was just a little slow cuz they had a bus load of people on a tour to the Grand Canyon but the food was great the ribs are delicious the roast beef is delicious the potatoes and gravy are to die for LOL

Lot of fun, beach on the river, jet skis and boating.

I don't gamble so you'd think this place would be boring for my family but it wasn't. There's an arcade, a great pool and hot tub, and lots of restaurants. You don't even have to leave if you don't want to. It's near lots of points of interest though, so I'd recommend getting out. They've got free boondocking if you are an RVer.

We had a great time here. I guess my only thing would be that the workout area is small but, hey, I doubt too many use it anyway.

Decent food and amenaties, pretty sweet pool and has a nice lagoon with on shore boat parking with Palapas.

This hotel is simply amazing for the price had a blast at the beautiful pool and casino was very nice.

Very clean and nice Casino and the movie theater has the best seats you could ask for.

For heaven's sake don't play here. Machines give no playback. Good place to eat but play elsewhere.

They dont mention anything about being shut down dye to covid...no restaurants open but subway an no pool no hot tub

Well today, Thur, we went for 2 for 1 buffet. The cashiers were nice, but then..... The employees that seat you!!! If you ever saw an expression on a face that said, "I'D RATHER BE DEAD THAN HERE!!!" That's the buffet. Our server Terry was a delight! Johnny on the spot! Clearing dirty dishes! A smile that few employees in the buffet knew what meant! The omelette station was ok. One pan going by a woman that I swear was ready to walk off the job!!! But the omelette was delicious! The taquitos tasted exactly like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store! I was good with that cuz I happen to love them! LOL! The salad dressing was watered down. The deserts did not taste like they were baked by a pastry chef. All in all I would say that for $7 each, brunch, you could pick & choose to get your money's worth. Take small portions to start so you can taste what is tasty.

Our first time there and we loved it, great for families with kids. We dont like gambling but enjoyed all the other amenities and food they offered. Only down fall was that we stayed at the older side of the casino far from the pool and we have little kids. Now we know that our next trip we will be staying in the beach tower with pool access for the kids.

Pretty place. Not many slots as compared to other places. Nothing was paying off when we were there. Very good buffet.

Terrible atmosphere! What a drag. I remember when it was a great place to go to and have a great time. Restaurants are closed, no bars open for drinks except for a little dinky side bar for the cocktail runner. And yes 1 cocktail runner/security..

Best beach on the river. Excellent restaurants. Good variety of machines and you can win here occasionally. Good air cleaning system. Very friendly bartenders too!

Stop to eat at the cafe a waste of time never got service got up and walk out

The rooms were cery dirty and unclean. The people were rude and obnoxious. The staff acted like they wanted to murder you. The beach is way to packed with WAY to many little kids. If you have the money go to Vegas instead.

I really enjoy going to the avi, it's a beautiful resort. Their dinner buffet is nice and so is their movie theatre.

We went to the movie theatre inside the Avi and for 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 large popcorn, and 1 large drink it was only $45!! Good deal!

The staff was friendly. The room was big and clean. Our carpet was worn/dirty but they are in the process of doing a complete remodel. Breakfast at the Feather Cafe was substandard and somewhat over priced. Would probably stay again but would eat breakfast elsewhere.

Great place to have fun rooms are outdated but the beach is the best place for fourth of July fireworks are the best I've ever seen

get gas and fireworks all.in one stop, cant beat that! they also have a cool designated spot where you can shoot off your fireworks on their property. Its a plus that the owners of this establishment has your safety in mind. I personally think it's a great testinf ground so you can see which ones you like and don't like and then go back to stock up on some more! The staff that works at the gas station is very friendly and even though the fireworks are managed by a separate party, a few of the gas station emplyees are knowledgeable about the fireworks and can direct you to which ones really go Boom!

Sprawling establishment. Cheap rooms. Clean. Great buffet! Lovely location. Grand pool.

When I first arrived here at Avi I thought to myself wow this place is great. The pool area is really nice. The beach is also nice.Then the night came. I started seeing the huge black bugs running all over the floor throughout the casino o hallways and even in the pool area.There should be an exterminator here daily for these things. The lady at the front desk said it's from the rain .It hasnt rained in days.
Not sure if me and my family will return or not.

Everyone who works here is very friendly. This property is always clean and well cared for. Worth the trip every time!

On Easter Sunday I made and put together a wedding out on the island and everyone was thrilled to death with my flowers and cake decorations and Deborah was very easy to get along with very informative

Everything you could want on either an active or relaxing getaway. Nothing fancy, but has all the amenities you need for a great vacation. Recommend!!

I love this place I've stayed here 6 or 7 times rooms are great staff are very friendly and helpful the Buffet is great parking is no problem here they have a parking lot and 6 level parking structure behind the resort I cant think of anything bad to say about this place

It was cool but a firework exploding underneath me so not cool I just said I submitted my my survey for the Avi Casino on Google yeah

Terrible I have a little dog it was 118 degrees I took her in to bye some water and they made me leave. When I get home I'm cutting up their card and sending it to them. NOT DOG FRIENDLY

Have never stayed here, but the casino is meh. Severely tight slots.

Best seafood buffet on the river. Don't even bother with the other up the road! The crab is always by far better than the rest! The simple sushi rolls are is good as well. Salad bar has everything you want. The prime rib at the carving station is not prime but is roast beef and it's still very good. Can get very busy especially on holiday weekends or when they have an event. Friday night is the night to go if you mostly want seafood. Service is always excellent. Price is very fair!

The movie theater is pretty nice. Good stadium seating and surround sound. And I know the seafood buffet they have on Friday nights is very good!

Spent the evening at the Arrowhead Lounge watching the band and playing video poker. Absolutely loved our bartenders Jimmy and Jessica!!

I love the discount tobacco store next door and they have a great place for kids, however the prices are a little high.

Far away from strip. This place was a huge dissapointment. Run down and far from anything. Not many tables either. I m Checking out early. Don t make the same mistake I made. You live and learn

If your coming for fun this is the place to be the beach is amazing and cartons are cheap at there store
