Excellent food and beer. One of my favorite places...
Excellent food and beer. One of my favorite places in the Boulder area.
Excellent food and beer. One of my favorite places in the Boulder area.
Great beer and many different types (ipa, porters, stouts, ambers, ales, etc). Most I've tried have been quite good. Food is wonderful. More upscale than a typical brewpub. A little bit pricey but truly exceptional.
A must visit for craft beer fans. This new facility is beautiful. There is a short self guided tour, which is a genius idea. The food is great, too. The real treat is how many rare brews they keep on tap and in the cooler. You can buy and fill growers, or just build a flight to sample. Avery is on top of their game and this place is well worth the side trip.
One of the best breweries in Boulder - Avery is a must-visit. I live in Denver, but every time I make a trip to Bouder this is a MUST-VISIT!
Beersl tastes great and staff are helpfull to decide what beer to try!
Some really good stouts... service was great and the food was pretty good.
Beer is pretty good... Especially The Beast.. But I felt the staff did things on their own time. Too busy interacting with each other and not noticing a person twiddling their thumbs in front of them. Don't make me wait 10 minutes for a beer while you chat with every coworker you can see.
Beer and food are superb, highly recommend!! I absolutely adore the staff there too
Fell in love with the beer before I visited the brewery. All I can say is thank you. Thank you to the staff that take every precaution during this precarious time and thank you to the brewers for making amazing beers. Avery has an incredible outdoor ambiance that accomodates all Coloradans and their pups! Cheers!
This is our FAVORITE place! The food is incredible, the beers are amazing and always changing, and the staff is incredible. Robby is our favorite waiter and he is always fun to talk to. Whenever we are down in Boulder we always come by!
If you are vegan/vegetarian or have a food allergy beware eating here!! I have been a vegetarian for two years now. Let me start out with saying I have been to Avery multiple times now and have ordered the jackfruit tacos multiple times, so I understand that it's supposed to be similar in taste and texture to pulled pork, however, I was suspicious that what I was eating was actually pulled pork and addressed this with not one but TWO servers, who confirmed that NO pulled pork tacos were served tonight and that I was in fact eating the jackfruit tacos that I ordered. She also added that they don't even have a pork taco on their menu. Not until I finished my meal did a manager come to the table and apologize telling me that I just ate pulled pork. I never leave reviews but I really am appalled by this experience and my hope is that I can prevent someone else from having a similar one. The cooks and servers do not seem to take this seriously and the manager did not address this with me until after I ate my meal. So please keep this in mind that what you order may not be what is served to you and even after you address this with staff, you may not be given an honest or confident answer. I will not be back.
Stopped there on my way to the airport after family weekend at CU. Outstanding. If I lived there, I'd be there at least once a week. Gonna have to plan another trip to CO!
This brewery is not only great in appearance, but the beers are unrivaled. I had the pretzel which was excellent in absorbing the well crafted high abv brews. I only wished I could have a brewery of this caliber in my home state. I doubt I could stay sober if that was the case. If this brewery doesn't fill up your 5 start rating, you probably consider coors light as a craft beer. Do not miss out on stopping here. Avery is very high on my brewery power ranking list. Keep up the great work guys!
Website said tour offered beer samples which turns out is a single 2oz glass of beer. Was an anticlimactic end to the tour.
where is your YES I CAN attitude!?!? I work a block away and stopped in the taproom to get my very standard HydroFlask growler filled to take with me into the mountains camping this weekend. EVIDENTLY, their fancy growler filling machine does not fill standard growlers, only their own $65 growler... I asked if they could fill mine from the tap, but it's against their "policy". Really? Avery - change your policy or get your machine fixed ASAP. I'm sure another great brewery in the area will be happy to fill my growler. Sincerely, Disappointed Fan.
With about 30 beers on tap from one of the best breweries in the state, this place is worth the drive from Boulder, and even from Denver as well. Luckily they also have an amazing kitchen, so you can enjoy a meal here as well. Pictured are two tequila barrel aged beers that I would recommend trying before they run out!
Absolutely amazing, 4.5 stars folks? No way, this is a 5 star establishment. Everything from the food to the service was incredible.
Fantastic beer, one of the best in CO. The bar tenders were extremely helpful and just awesome in helping us pick out a good beer. Great selection, from sours to stouts and everything in between. They also had a selection of wines that was incredible, this place is a must visit.
Great food and so many beer choices. Cant go wrong choosing Avery for friends, famoky, or just solo tour.
I tend to take all my out of town guests here. It's always been a great choice since both the beer and food is good. I took my sister without double checking their menu and they eliminated almost everything. It was exceptionally disappointing. I will not be back.
Good experience, interesting tour, nice atmosphere
Little bit of a wait. But well worth it. The food is very tasty, and the beers are exceptional.
Really good beer, ok food. Drafts are awesome, much better than what they bottle.
Literally world-class beer, phenomenal food, and absolutely outstanding and engaging staff
You know what's great? A warm pretzel on the patio, knowing you're supporting not one but 2 local businesses (Das Pretzel and Avery), and still getting phenomenal service during a time where people are not only stressing about the holidays but if they'll have their jobs when it gets colder. Did I mention they have a gear shop that will get your Christmas shopping done in a quick stop? You got this guys! Cheers!
5-star beer meets 2-star food make 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4). The beer is world class, but the food is expensive and mostly disappointing.
Socially distanced and a great time. I saw the photos online and was concerned about there being a lot of people there. Avery is serious about social distancing and keeping their patrons safe. We were at a Barrel and had a great time chatting and drinking beer while more than six feet away from all patrons
Outstanding beer, great food, awesome staff, super location.
One of the gem breweries of Boulder! Always a great time when visiting!
It's a Boulder right of passage to grab a beer and some food at Avery. Great staff, great people, and they support local government. There is a drop box on site!
The beer speaks for itself unique releases, barrel aged , ect. If you want to find an interesting beer Avery is where is at........
The Fried Chicken Special on Monday nights is excellent.
Its great being able to see a full scale brewing operation attached to a restaurant, tap room, and patio.
Go on a run, take the dog out at Twin lakes Open Space and and end up with a beer in your hand at Avery!
This place has a great atmosphere! The food was delicious! Everyone must go on the free brewery tour and get plenty of free beer! It was very entertaining and enlightening! If you re in Boulder, you must visit this place! This review has so many exclamation marks!
Best brewery tour ever because of the guide, August, spending an hour expl a dining their details and why. Company is excellent with their sustainabilit efforts and minimal waste efforts.
AVERY has been on my top five list for years. I look forward to visiting the new brewery when I get the chance because the old brewery was such a good time.
One of the best breweries in Colorado! An extensive tap list of thirty beers, with everything from pilsners to IPAs to massive barrel-aged stouts to unique and experimental sours, they really cover the range of beer. Nice atmosphere with great decor, and you can take a self-guided tour of the brewery. Food is incredible and delicious, but honestly a little pricey and upscale for me most of the time.
Highly rated on Beer Advocate and was not disappointed. Everything I tried is top notch and would make a point live here if I lived here.
Expensive and pretentious, not a good place to visit
1 1/2 hour wait and there are 10 empty tables and no people waiting, go figure.
The beer is great . Best brewery in Colorado !!! The new site is great too. Able to watch decent sized working brewery while drinking beer and not taking a tour.
Beer was great and if that's all you're going for, you will be pleased. The food is not good, atmosphere upstairs was blah. I would of preferred to sit outside where things were more lively.
Come for the beer, leave for the food. Amazing beers 5/5 for beers, but 1/5 for the food. Aside from the crazily overpriced food and waiting for 30+ minutes for service, you'll eventually be disappointed with a small portion. Also, real poutine should never be eaten with a spoon and should contain more then 6 pinkey-sized fries.
This place was too good not to write a review. The atmosphere is great. The bar area is laid out to be very interactive. The dining area is great as well. The menu quality, selection, price, and quantities are the best of any bar menu I've experienced my entire life (I do NOT make statements like this flippantly). They have 5oz beer sizes they sell for $2 to $5 each, which is great for someone who loves to sample. The service from immediately having a pitcher of water before us within a minute of sitting down, which I drained immediately but was refilled before I drank my last glass, to perfect timing on beer refills, quick delivery of our food, and to finally immediate payment of our bill as soon as we were ready was the best I've ever experienced. If you don't go here when you are in Boulder you will miss the best restaurant experience of your life.
Great place! Love the beer! Food is great too! Amazing place to bring your dog!!!
Thank you all for being here!!
Amazing beer... Great food...great atmosphere and vibe. Only wish the brewery tour was a little more involved like New Belgium's which includes free beer. Avery's is only a self guided on a couple catwalks. But if your not worried about a tour this place will leave you wishing you could buy more there insane list of craft beer in the stores. Got to be one of my favorite Colorado brew houses.
Awesome taphouse with great food and great beer. If you haven't checked this place out, you definitely should.
Awesome experience, I only had a half day to spend in Boulder and this was a great place to end it. Awesome atmosphere, good beer and the ribs were probably the best I've ever had. great for singles, couples, friends and families.
Great food. One of the best brewery around Boulder. Do try their coquettes.
Impressive operation. Beer and food were very good.
Shivi and Jake we're fantastic hosts and took care of us very well when we walked in 2 minutes to last call. They made our bad day with flight delays and long journey a lot better by being kind and generous. Avery is one of the few places where all their brews are of top quality and staff very knowledgeable.
Some of the best beer in the world plus amazing food to pair with it. Avery never disappoints.
Had a great time at Avery can suggest the legs and thighs and the tour even met the owner later in Big D!
We like porters and stouts. Avery did not disappoint us. Nice ambiance ... Prairie dogs included.
I came here with my husband, 2 year old daughter and my brother. This place is surprisingly children friendly. We ordered a mixed vegetables tacos, gumbo and BBQ meat platter. Everything was delicious. Beer was great. Service was great. We loved this place and would come back again.
The staff is awesome. The beer is amazing and the building is beautiful. We had a great time. Will definitely be back.
Great beer, great food, very kind and attentive staff. 5/5 Would eat and drink here again.
Great food, incredible beer, and an even better staff!
Great food, great beer selection, great service. Couldn't ask for more.
Best local or national Brew (other than Boulder Beer, of course)!
Avery upgraded their beers, their food, and their facility. Some breweries have a good beer or two. Avery has over 10 solid beers sure to please a wide range of pallets.
From stouts to IPAs to sours. They have it all. High gravity? Yes please. Over 15% smack your face high gravity. Pumpkins? You got it gurl. Home of the rumpkin. Tasty little treat - pumpkin and alcohol - total genius.
Nothing short of smoked BBQ to wash down these these brews - or vice versa depending on what you came for.
But I came for you beer. You did not let me down. You never have.
Avoid loads delivering to this location. They will damage the product and make some ridiculously high claims against you payment. Very unprofessional place with bad business practices. Not worth your business, Truckers.
My wife really liked the shepherd's pie but my meat meat meat plate left a bit to be desired. The ribs were really good and smokey but the rest of the items were mediocre. The sausage was so dry it crumbled when I was cutting it. The "pulled pork" was also dry and very fatty.
Great beer and a fun tour and tasting room. Everyone who works here knows their beers and is friendly and fun to chat with.
Great! Especially great over the GABF weekend - try the Reverends.
Amazing! Avery is by far my favorite brewery because they are constantly pushing the envelope when it comes to beer. The servers in the taproom are very well educated about the beer that Avery brews. They are more than willing to chat with you about anything beer related.
Try to get your hands one beers in their barrel aged series. They are only brewed one time in limited quantity and the best place to try them is at the brewery.
The hardest decision you'll have is which beers to enjoy. There's too many good ones to choose from. I just wish that they had greater distribution so my friends and family that live out of state could experience their incredible beers.
Amazing food and beer. Really friendly staff. Got served very quick.
Great food and so many beer choices. Cant go wrong choosing Avery for friends, famoky, or just solo tour.
A very famous local beer company in this area. A brand that Every IPA wants to try the most. Be careful with overdrinking as it has a high alcohol content of 6.5. If you ask for a tasting, you can try various things with a small cup and it's interesting. THURSDAY BRISKET PLATE is recommended for meat dishes. Good taste for American food. The altitude is about 1600 meters, so please be careful when drinking too much.
Great beers and always fun. Avery has beers that cover the entire board. They have some commercial beers that are very approachable all the way up the craziness of super beer geekdom. Check out their tasting room and try some great beers.
