Avery Brewing, in my opinion, is one of the top 10 breweries in the nation. Visiting their brewery/taphouse is always a treat. Catwalks above the whole brewery allow for an awesome self-tour. They regularly have 24+ unique and delicious beers on tap, complemented by one of the best local food menus in Boulder.

I went here after seeing extremely positive reviews on Google and a number of other sites. After visiting myself, I feel that these reviews are extremely overblown . I'd agree with those who tout the venue (dog friendly, indoor/outdoor, etc) but the beer is average at best. I tried a gose, coffee stout, and IPA and every single one was extremely forgetful. The waitresses were friendly and the soft pretzel was good, but I primarily judge breweries by the beer. A good, but not great brewery and most of the 'good' has nothing to do with beer.

Amazing beers. It was always a must-stop when my wife and I would be visiting Boulder from Denver. I loved the unique beers they had tap (some not distributed). I would spend the money on most of their beers at retail. If you love beer, then you should visit and sample.

Avery continues to be one of my top favorite breweries in Colorado! There is something for everyone between indoor formal seating, community bar seating, and an outdoor dog friendly patio with games. Awesome beer and wide selection! The food is also out of this world- we have tried the pretzel, wings, nachos, and burger.

One of the best breweries in the Denver metro area. Large, diverse selection that changes frequently accompanied by tasty bbq. Service is great and its a cool space.
Should be on the top of your list for brew touring in CO.

We were excited to visit here before catching a flight home to Virginia as we have always loved Avery's beers. Unfortunately, the service at the upstairs bar was not good and the food was worse. One in my party couldn't eat nearly half of his sandwich because the meat was majority fat. When he placed the plate forward to be picked up, no one asked if it was OK (a lot was left on the plate) or even picked it up for about 15 minutes. Overall, a really disappointing experience. For the price point, it is not worth your hard-earned money. Much better options and value in the area.

Our first time, wont be our last. We normally only frequent the smaller breweries, but Avery has a great set up. Indoor and outdoor areas (pups welcome outside), food was very good, and service even better.

Nice brewery, clean, classy and they basically ruined me for other breweries. Kind of hidden in an industrial park but worth the trip. Food looked good, we didn't eat but did have their ginger sour beer. If you like sours and ginger it's a must have. Catwalk in the brewery for self-guided tours (pics) was super cool. Will definitely return and next time we'll have dinner as well.

A bit pricey, but hey you get what you pay for. Staff were inviting and highly knowledgeable. Every beer I tried was amazing and I had a damn fine burger to go with it. Deffinatly would recommend.

The place to go if you're into being treated like a nobody and dealing with employees that must think they are Hollywood movie stars or professional athletes. There are way more places around Boulder that you can spend your hard earned cash at people, and have a great experience where they appreciate your business

Great food. Great beer. Great view. Great staff. What's not to like? The parking is a little wonky but there's plenty of it. You've likely had their beer but certain brews are only available on location. Be sure to check out the self-guided brewery tour.

Avery is the best brewery in the Front Range imho (and this will of course vary, depending on your tastes, and there are a lot of great breweries in Boulder, Fort Collins, and Denver). The menu at the brewery changes every few months, and while not as diverse as the beer, is very good and complements the beer well. One should always save room and alcohol tolerance level for one of the barrel aged beers for dessert- particularly the Rumpkin or PumKYn. The outdoor area could be enlarged for more tables during the temperate time of the year.

Perfectly describes a brewery. They have a lot of beer options to choose from. It's pretty occupied even during weekdays. I would recommend you guys to try vanilla stout beer and IPA.

It's pretty spacious with an upper level seating and outdoor as well.

Went in for some apps and taps and kinda just sat around. No one came to our table or acknowledged us so after 5-7min we got up and left. As we were on our way out in the parking lot an employee named Kyle ran out to grab us. He apologized many times and stated that there was no excuse. He wanted to make it up to me and brought me inside and asked me what kind of beer I liked. After a brief talk he told me to stay put and ran away. He quickly returned with a peace offering of an IPA 6-pack and apologized again. It wasn t expected but definitely appreciated. Kyle went above an beyond and made it right for a couple people from FL just looking for some beer.

Getting turned away for a growler fill. Was told they can only fill their 64oz growlers. Makes no sense to me, every other brewery can fill my growler. Guess buying their beer isn't enough, they want you buy their over priced products also.

Came here for lunch with my wife. Their wings are well cooked. The chicken texture is firm rather than the typical flimsy kind. It is also well seasoned (for some reason a lot of restaurants I ve been to in America don t season chicken well enough such that it seeps in properly. This causes the outer part to be well seasoned but the inside remains dry and boring).
Don t drink beer but from a layman, their facility appears impressive.

Such an awesome brewery. They have such a huge selection of beers, including sours. Makes it a perfect place for my wife and me. I don't know if I had a favorite brew, but the slim hazy ipa did stick out a bit.

Visited for dinner and had the 3 meat BBQ dish, it was spiced well and served with a delicious sauce. Good selection of beers and casual atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff was attentive.

I agree with the local guides' reviews - "come for the beer, leave for the food" - and wish we had listened. My husband loves Avery for their consistently great craft brews, and he was excited for the brewery experience. What was awesome: a full complement of "brewery only" beers, the bar and waitstaff service, and the upstairs atmosphere. Where it lacked: the food. The menu reads like a New American array of offerings for the Foodie, but tastes like mediocre diner food. While the pretzel and fries were tasty (albeit lukewarm), we ordered the Pork Belly Collard Greens (tasted like they'd been bathed in oil, no flavor); the white cheddar mashed (like the worst powdered potatoes - no creaminess, no flavor, just bland and yes, powdery); and two cheeseburgers. I am not kidding - my cheeseburger made me have to vomit in the bathroom (I'm not sure if it was the meat quality, some ingredient, or what). (I had one 2 oz pour, for those of you who might say it was because of drinking). We were so disheartened at the food experience, but conversely, happy to find such a range of great offerings on tap! Our advice: either revamp your food menu, or remove it entirely, because you'll negatively color an otherwise exceptional microbrewery experience.

Find a spot outside when it's warm & sunny or head upstairs to the nice dining room when the mood suits you. The beer alone is worth being there. The food will make your non beer-dork friends happy to join the party.

Glad to get out and enjoy Avery again after COVID. I tried to put my name on the wait list, but there was no wait when I left my house. 15 minutes later when I arrived, the wait was 45 minutes

Great brewery! Their raspberry sour beer is absolutely amazing (one of mine and my husbands all time favorite beers). The brewery itself is really nice, has a large, dog friendly patio area. The staff are all really competent. We came in with a larger group for lunch, and two orders were lost in the kitchen. The staff came out and were really apologetic, gave all of us some tasters and the food was out in about five minutes-could not have been handled better! All of the food was really delicious (I got the buddha bowl and tried the fries and fried chicken, great ranch dressing too).

The only reason for 4 stars is that I think it is overpriced (most of the entrees were 15 dollars or more, which I thought was a bit much for what your get).

This beer is so tasty that I named my new pup in honor of the brewery. Their IPA is one of the best in america (along with Stone). I liked going on this brewery tour because it's so discombobulated due to the constant expansions from the original building as they got bigger. Very unique setup for sure. They will keep pouring their taps until you say "stop" and it's FREE!

If you like craft beer you know Avery. If you are in Colorado (Denver metro area) get over here. I didn't order the food but the dishes I saw coming out of the kitchen made me want to. Staff is friendly and excellent. I'm going back for sure!! Cheers

I had a reservation for 6 PM, arrived early, bought beers, shopped in merch, spending north of $90. Saw many tables open so asked if I could be seated early. Was told sure, just a little bit & we can seat you. Dude totally forgot... stood there making eye contact and at 6 pm, he was like oh I lost track of time... he sat me at one of the 3 empty seats I watched for over 30 minutes.... the merch/reservation area is so inefficient. I named my dog Avery... bummed to come from Memphis to be treated like dump. It s now 6:30 no food & empty glasses.... not pleased. ** Edit * when the food arrived, it was very good and the server was truly apologetic for how long it took for the food to arrive. I m changing my review due to how my night ended.
