Everything here tasted great, but hands down...the best beef ribs I've ever had in my life. I will DEFINITELY come back here when I revisit Colorado. And you should too.

Avery is one of the best breweries to be found in a state crowded with excellent beer. The food is fantastic, and their beer ranges from excellent to outstanding. Be warned, most brews are big and boozy. They have a selection of beers at the 4-6% abv range, but most of their barrel aged selections (which is where Avery shines) are more like 10-16%. Excellent service by people that really love good beer tops off the experience. GO TO AVERY.
Very cool atmosphere. Dogs and babies all over patio. Was very busy on a beautiful CO winter afternoon but bar upstairs less so. Beer is magnificent. They have an unbelievable selection. Didn't get the food but it looked good.
Not so sure that beer can get any better than what Avery has to offer! Great beer. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!
Incredible brews, awesome staff, excellent food, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
The new location is fantastic! Tap room is very nice, service is good, and as always the beer is top notch. On top of all of that they now have great food!
Yum! Delicious food and brew and A+ service from Michelle!
Awesome place. Amazing beer. Great food from caterer across the ambled.
Getting turned away for a growler fill. Was told they can only fill their 64oz growlers. Makes no sense to me, every other brewery can fill my growler. Guess buying their beer isn't enough, they want you buy their over priced products also.
Big brewery located in boulder. Bartenders were very friendly and will let you sample multiple beers before you decide on one. Lots of dogs on the outside patio. There was was very good. Definitely will come back here during any season.
Horrible neighbors! They have very loud bands playing and have been asked to either move the band to the other side of the bldg. when they play or to keep it down. They don't know how loud it echos over to the residential areas and they won't agree to come over and listen for themselves to hear how loud it is.
They keep saying that they have all the necessary permits to play the music and don't seem to feel it's necessary to be good neighbors to the surrounding neighborhoods who have sleeping babies or people who are sick and need their rest. It's very disappointing that a business would be so uncaring about their surroundings or the people who live in the area.
Please tell Tyler the trip to Patagonia bore fruit! I really like the Perrito I purchased this afternoon. You should send him back down there and soon! :). Great lunch too!
We had a delicious vegetarian meal of veggie tacos and a farm fresh salad with garlic fries. So good to go along with the many beers on tap. Some great sour varieties! Total worth the short jaunt to the edge of Boulder. A must stop.
Great service, fabulous beer, good food and excellent family atmosphere. Avery does sour beers as well as any brewery. Can't wait to return.
This is probably the worst brewery I've been to. I didn't like my beer, but that can be overlooked at any brewery if the vibe is right. The music was old school (which was great) but the service was the absolute worst. We got an attitude from our first server over not ordering food. When she left, our second server said hello then NEVER came back. When he spoke, he slurred his speech. Does Avery let their employees drink on the job?
I don't care about having to go to the bar to close my tab. The kid behind the bar was also rude and acted put out about having to do his job.
The place is clean. The outdoor seating area was actually pretty great. If Avery retrained their staff or started all over, the experience for the customers might be better. No staff member smiled which makes me wonder if management sucks.
Hands down favorite place to eat and drink I've ever been to.
Their selection of high ABV and barrel aged beers is insane, they are all beyond-great beers. If you enjoy high ABV beers, definitely check out the Rumpkin and Pumpkin... they are two of my favorite beers hands down.
The food is listed on google as a "brew pub menu", while it may fit this category because it's food in a brewery with beer... the quality of the food is far, far above brewpub fare. Everything I've ever eaten there has been top notch cuisine. It's a favorite location for our work events.
The tour is super interesting, and it's great to be able to wander around with a beer and see the whole brewery from a catwalk.
TLDR: amazing beer, incredible food, great atmosphere
Great spot to hangout with friends family and strangers for a brew! The dogs loved it here
This place has good beers and food. Great atmosphere! Would recommend checking this place out if in the boulder area.
Fantastic beer and beer selection. One of the more innovative brewers in northern Colorado. Food is excellent too.
As an out of state visitor, I found the service and food to be excellent-- not to mention the wide varieties of beer to sample and enjoy.
This place is great! Great beer and great beer. Definitely coming back again and I love in Parker.
Bought the El Gose German-Style Sour Ale at a liquor store. It was the only sour beer the store carried so I took a shot.. The cost was $11 total for a 4.5% Alc/vol 6 pack which I purchase more if it was like $8.00 I wasn t tasting any sour until the 3 beer. I gave them 3 stars because the design is pretty slick. I hope Avery Brewing Co. comes up with a more potent sour in the future!
Great beer, great prime rib on Saturdays. What's not to like??
First, Avery's beer is top notch! Also, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Ask them a question and they know it! Also, doing a great job during Covid 19.
Beer was good, had the smoked ribs, flavor was ok, but they were very dry. Dry rubbing is great but the actual rib meat shouldn't be dry.
What an awesome experience with great wait staff, excellent food and awesome beer. Thank you all for being great human beings and having really nice customer service.
Good food and beer. Got the gumbo, it was filling and an alright price for the amount of food. Don't expect to go in for a cheap meal and drink though, not that type of establishment
Fell in love with the beer before I visited the brewery. All I can say is thank you. Thank you to the staff that take every precaution during this precarious time and thank you to the brewers for making amazing beers. Avery has an incredible outdoor ambiance that accomodates all Coloradans and their pups! Cheers!
Part of the reason for our trip. Great beer. The taproom is friendly and offers tasting size pours. Large selection, nice patio. Eveything is clean. They have a classic brown ale to keep it old school but also barrel aged stouts to keep things fresh. We had a great time!
What a great brewery!!! 12/10, strongly recommend. It's a lively vibe, with a cosy and social vibe.
The food was exceptional, the prices were very reasonable, the beer was awesome, the menu has classic favourites and exotic rarities too.
Staff were so lovely, service was prompt and friendly.
Highly recommend. For beer, for food, for friends, for fun.
Great beer selection and cool place. The food is average but the beer is great. Really have some strong beers on their line up.
Huge selection of beers, rotating taps with always favorites. Great service and great food. Patio and multiple areas to drink and eat.
Visiting Denver on vacation from Texas with my wife, celebrating our 4 year anniversary. Picked Avery Brewing for dinner since we were up in Boulder based on their great yelp reviews (I ll be leaving another one there soon) The beer was good, the food was great and the service was amazing. I was suffering from altitude sickness that only got less awesome as the meal went on. They took pity on me as a low lander not feeling well and did everything they could to help on top of some nice surprises since it was our anniversary. We will be sure to return any time were in the area and I will be buying their products any time I see them in my local stores.
Thank you for helping make this night a great memory instead of a crummy one. Chloe F was fantastic!
The beer is fantastic. The food is very good. I had the veggie jambalaya. It is expensive to eat or drink here, so I hesitate give it a high rating. However, the beer is so good.
10/10 would recomend! Great beer, food, patio, service... it was wonderful! They let dogs on the patio so we came here after a hike with our 2 fur babies and it was just refreshing to have a server who was so happy to meet our dogs. Just be prepared to see a lot of dogs!
Lots of very unique brews that you can get samplers for. Food is good too.
Excellent beer, good service, food could be better.
Props to Michelle M! Give that lady a raise, Avery. Michelle, thank you for being so welcoming! See you soon :-)
Great beer selection. Best pulled pork sandwich and garlic fries I've ever had. The staff was friendly and great at what they do. Just a tad bit pricey.
Beautiful brewery, with amazing food, and delicious beers! So glad we finally made it out!
Avery is one of my favorite breweries, and their selection is incredible. The food is also great, comfort food done with a chic/modern twist. Only knock is that this place is always slammed after 3PM, definitely need a reservation.
My boyfriend and I brought our friend here who was in town from Florida. He brews beer back at home and knew he d love this place! We took a tour then ate afterwards. The tour was great, food was great, beer was great!! I ordered the friend chicken sandwich and my favorite beer was the Vanilla Bean Stout - very tasty :) if you re a fan of beer you won t want to miss this brewery!
The experience is worth the drive. You have an outdoor sitting area as well as indoor. Friendly people and pets are welcomed. The food and drinks are just perfect to help you digest the mountains that surround you. The brisket is to die for.
We love Avery!!!! We live in Breckenridge and drive down here all the time because it is so awesome. Highly recommend, beer is awesome and food is delicious! They truly are the best at everything!
My favorite brews, and great food, a very easy going group of people work here and know their brews, was worthy of a trip to boulder alone.
If I'm going to buy beer at the source, I expect it to be a better value. Why is the beer here more expensive than any other place offering Avery beers? The new building is beautiful, but the patio area is very small. The food was good, but I feel like they're trying to be BJ's. I want cheaper bar food, quicker service, and drink discounts. I won't be returning for some time.
It was early in the afternoon, so I really couldn't tell if the other reviews that highlight the "horrible service" are accurate or not. My experience was spot on. They know the value of their beer and don't shy away from that fact when pricing them in the taproom.
The menu is way a little over priced for the what I received. "Seitan Shepherd's Pie"
It was edible, but I felt it was over seasoned. I would definitely recommend this place for a drink or two, but possibly consider a separate food stop if you are hungry.
Avery has incredible beer and very good food to accompany. The staff went out of their way to satisfy our needs.
Awesome service! Very quick and attentive. Just stopped in for a beer and dessert, apple tart was fantastic!
One of the originals and still one the best microbreweries not only in CO but anywhere! Great beer along with good food, tour, and merch. Outdoor seating and family friendly.
Bourbon Barrel Aged brews are absolutely fantastic. Look at Untapped, all are rated really great. I had 3 and I'll be back!
Great food and love the dog friendly atmosphere. Quick tip: don't order the BBQ unless the smoker is ON. It tastes way better when it's fresh!
Friendly staff. We tried 10 beers and the beer is very hit or miss. The light beers are on point, but the stouts/porters are nearly all some version of imperial (think 12%+ abv) and because of this were difficult to drink because of their sickly sweet profile. Overall we would come back but wouldn't recommend their dark beers that go above 10%.
Constantly rotating tap list of every conceivable style of beer, even sometimes historic and obscure ones you've never heard of. And by golly, they somehow know to consistently deliver quality stuff across the board! The food is tasty, albeit a little pricey. Friendly service and a welcome addition to Gunbarrel!
Fantastic food, drink and atmosphere. The manager (Joselin) was so lovely and made us feel right at home! Will be back. Worth the drive
Impressive variety of beers and brew styles. Probably one of my favorite breweries outside of Texas including Deschutes. Highly recommend The Real Peel IPA right now.
Excellent beer and excellent venue! Great place to meet for a pint, or one of their many awesome events. However, I recommend you stay away from the nearby inn no matter how convenient or affordable it may seem. Horrible service there that will do nothing but try to ruin your amazing Avery experience.
This was the best experience at a brewery I ve ever had, and I ve been to many breweries. Me and my boyfriend went to the bar upstairs just expecting to get a few beers before we head out of Boulder and back to Denver on our trip. We got so much more than just a few beers and a nice environment! Trevor was our bartender and he was absolutely delightful and made it a point to connect with us and learn about us and take care of us. This was an amazing experience and one that we will never forget!
A beautiful space, and remarkably intimate for being an industrial space.
Great beer, Great food, and Great service! I will happily return and advise you to pay a visit if you have the chance.
Love the beer and food. Hate the hour and a half wait. If that's the deal....take reservations. Not waiting even after driving hour to get here. Old location was easier to get in to. Bummah!!
First of all, the facility is absolutely beautiful. It's very spacious and welcoming. The beers themselves? Sweet baby Jesus. They're incredible. The ABVs on some of these bad boys is crazy (16%!?) and they're delicious. I personally really enjoyed the Raspberry Truffale. You really, really need to go. Some beers should legitimately be considered dessert they're so sweet and rich.
Kelsey the upstairs bartender did a great job serving us and made us feel special. He knowledge of beers was exceptional.
Super fun. Food is pricy but the service is by people who deeply care for the place. Was able to take a tour...also fun.
I had high expectations but they were not met. To enjoy the higher ABV beers, you would almost need to do a Lyft or Uber and not drive yourself since it is away from everything else. The food was a bit on the pricey side as well.
Fantastic microbrews and restaurant in Gunbarrel, Colorado near Boulder. A must see brewery in the Boulder area.
Loved outdoor area & social distancing was top par. Food was just ok. We got wings, nachos, salad & fried chicken special. Beer/IPA's were delicious!
Doggy friendly bar with good food and fun staff. The IPA is the best beer I've had from them, but they have a large variety of beers to try that are constantly rotating. Fun place to experiment with your taste buds.
Wow! Had no idea this was the spot. Great food. Stopped here after a run around boulder res and had their brown ale.
Snotty. Sup-par in many respects. Sure, Boulder is the O.C. Of Colorado, but seriously, the staff acts like they are superior to you. Some tips to make this 5 star place better:
- Create a culture of service vs entitlement. They call the job SERVING because it s your job to serve people and make them feel welcome. Snotty, no check-back upon receiving food (none at all). Why do you deserve a tip at all. Reason below.
- Remove the requirement of giving out your credit card to place an order. This happens after you pay at literally EVERY PLACE ON EARTH. When an entitled server condescendingly requests my card I m going to think something is up. See following.
- On their credit card tip request there are the following options: 25, 20, 18% and other . Well no wonder the staff sucks. If you re giving them 25% commission on every check for doing a s**t job then they have no incentive to crawl out of their own a**es. Too much money out here just another sad by-product.
Would not come back.
Saturday afternoon - arrived and expected a dog patio as per the Google listing. Unfortunately it is a field with some barrels to stand by. 6 tables with umbrellas but 1 hour plus wait. Back to the beer barrels - Baking sun. No shade. Not great for the dogs. I get we live in a post Covid world but maybe the owners can make it more inviting for dog owners by providing more shade? I m sure the food and drinks are great but never got the chance to taste. Bummer
Average-small outdoors space. Very limited seating in general. The beer is incredible though.
The food, and the beer, here have always been excellent! The beer is varied, with delicious pours for everyone's tastes. The food is incredibly delicious, reasonably priced, and as long as you stay away from seafood dishes, very generous in size. However, what really sets Avery apart is their bartenders, who are jovial, eager to help, and very knowledgeable. One of our favorite places!
Good food and good beer, plenty of parking. Staff was very accommodating and nice
Excellent selection of beers. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about all of the different beers that they serve. The food was good, but I wish they had a larger selection of appetizers.
