There is truly something magical about Avery Brewing Co. The staff are extraordinarily knowledgable, the service is lightening-speed, and the food is some of the best in the region.

You can tell immediately that every employee loves their job, and that feeling is contagious as a guest. The free tour was interesting and very thorough and also included a free taster of their famous Hog's Heaven. I'm normally one to run at the sight of an IPA, but Hog's Heaven is the first and only IPA I've tried and actually truly enjoyed. Thank you, Avery Brewing Co., for a wonderful and memorable evening!

Love the beer and the self guided tour. Staff surprised me as not able to answer really any simple question about the beers and not helpful in choosing... did allow samples so that was nice but this was my first time talking to an employee at a brewery that didn't know anything about what he was serving.

The most significant leader brewery in Colorado to my salute in this review, not just by the Brewers they had trained and inspired, but the education they invest in to to make us better creators and afficienanatos of what needs to survive in the challenges of this industry. I was part of the classes, part of the early storage unit days back some 25 by years now. I almost survived the alphabet tour. . . .and this brewery has matured along with me. Some incredible special editions at the gunbarrel hub that make a delightful trip for company or random Tuesday. I also want to recognize a solid kitchen. This tasting room is among the must stops in the whole state

Ridiculous selection of one-off beers and honestly the best brewery tour I've ever done. Kyle (tour guide) was awesome, and honestly all of the staff was great. They sometimes age beers in Laphroaig casks and it is the most delicious thing I've ever had. Food is ok and a little overpriced, but it's an awesome spot to go drinking.

Place is too uppity for me. I do like it because its got an outdoor watering hole for all ya'll bikers out there. It's a super friendly biking brewery which I like because you guess it, i'm a biker. Place is also dog friendly. Great beer, lots of choices, I think their food menu needs to be revamped

We just stopped in to get my boyfriend a beer and both of us some food. We asked the waiter if they served any beverages other than beer. I explained beer upsets my stomach and was hoping to get something easier to drink. He suggested a half wine/beer mix. I said "I wonder if that will upset my stomach" he replies "I'm not a doctor and can't tell you that" straight faced. It was stated in a very rude tone. He said we are a brewery we do not serve anything but beer. I get that it will be mostly beer however lots of breweries offer other beverages as they know not everyone coming in for food wants beer.

His tone and attitude turned is off immediately and we chose to leave. Didn't even try the beer or food.

My advice - put as much effort into training the staff as you do making beer.

This is an amazing place to go if you like beer. It's a great experience as it has outside activities, a HUGE facility, great food. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because I'm not a huge fan of the beer, even though they got something like 50 beers on tap at all times.

I visit Avery a couple of times a month because it is near my work. I always enjoy the new beers they are offering and the fries make a great little snack to munch on to counteract all of those high abv beers. They really put out some outstanding stouts and sours! Their IPAs are a bit malty for my taste, but I understand that plenty of people like that. I would give them 5 stars except it can be difficult to find a seat and the space is very sparse and loud. I wish they would do some sound mitigation. The patio is always a great choice on a nice day!

Solid brews and good food. Servers are usually great and upbeat. On the down side, the organization upstairs with regards to seating people when there are 12 open tables is freakin ridiculous. Upstairs I was told there were reservations for Father s Day..walked downstairs and I m told the kitchen is swamped. You re a brewery..I m here to drink beer. Seat me, make me aware the kitchen is backed up...when there are open tables and I ll order more beers while I m waiting for my food. And no, this isn t an anomaly..I live down the street, come in here all the time and this is a regular problem. Please fix it! Thanks

It's hidden down an alley but well worth taking extra time to find! Great IPA and really tasty specialty brews. Yearly they have a anniversary party with a vertical tasting. One of the best times for the price in the area.

Awesome place for a Friday evening outing. Lot of people with lots of dogs! Some of the best craft beer you've ever tasted with some delicious food. We had the Das Pretzel which was awesome with its nacho sauce. Try the coffee beer while you're there!

Big commercialized operation. Incredibly rude staff at the bar slammed a water bottle and two glasses down and walked away without saying a word. Worst experience ever at a taproom ended before it really began.

Some of the best beer made in Colorado. The restaurant menu/tap room is pretty good, but is perhaps trying a bit to hard to be ... dunno... fancy?. We wish they'd bring back staples like their excellent burger or mac and cheese.

It was our last day in Denver and I really wanted to check out ABC. Luckily we had few hours before our flight and I drove straight to Avery.

The staff was super nice and courteous. We didn't have any reservations but thanks to the front desk lady, it was a short wait. We were here only and only for the beers, since we've heard so much about them.

People of Colorado must be super duper lucky to have a brewery that is killing it in the beer scene. Such amazing stouts and so many of them under one roof! Last I had seen so many stouts under one roof was at a beer festival.

My favorite beer would definitely be the Bon Bon Stout. After my first sip, I instantly fell in love with it. Wish our trip was longer and we could have spent more time here. But our first visit was definitely baller. I came with expectations and I left mind blown!

Thank you.

The food is fantastic and the beer is delicious. You can get all of your old favorites or try their taproom rarities. The place is always hopping, but the service is on point. You can tell that everyone loves working there.

Avery has done an amazing job with this new location. The beers on tap are always fantastic. There is such a wide variety that it's easy for even those who aren't beer connoisseurs to branch out and try new things. The food is delicious. The chef has put together a great menu with a small amount of staples and specials that cover just about all tastes. It's worth noting that regular bar food isn't a staple here. You can't get nachos and burgers only make an appearance on Fridays. So if you're looking for regular, this really isn't the place. However, if you're up for branching out on food and drink, Avery is definitely the place to go!

I am so bummed! I usually LOVE Avery, I always refer my friends from out of town and clients. I went here yesterday after an afternoon walk with my pup, and was thinking since they are so dog friendly that I would be able to sit outside and enjoy a refreshing beer. It was around 2:00 so they weren't busy. I sat and waited and waited for 15 minutes, before the lady next to me told me I have to go inside to the bar and order, meanwhile all the employees I see are sitting down folding silverware, I then tied my dog up and went up to the outside section of the bar to order, a waitress then told me I had to go into the bar and couldn't order from outside, I then went into the bar and waited ANOTHER 15 minutes to get someones attention, he then told me he would be right with me and I left. My dog meanwhile was watching me and barking the whole time which is why I was in a hurry. I just felt like I was inconveniencing them which is such a bummer because I LOVE their beer and food and was extremely disappointed with the customer service :(

Some damn fine tasty Beers, plenty of variety for everyone. Sours, IPA's, lagers, bourbon barrel aged stouts, you name it. Innovative food offerings, excellent but on the expensive side. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a catwalk over the warehouse where you can observe the brewing process. Surprisingly upscale for a brewpub.. Busy each time we've been there. Nice little shop with Avery clothing swag and bottled beers to go. Try a beer flight to sample the copious offerings.

$13 for a burger. Entrees average about $16. The food just isn't good enough to warrant these kinds of prices. Used to be a regular lunch stop in the old location but $20 for a burger and beer is just too much for what you get.

I love Avery beers and their food but they need to improve their service. We ordered some food and beer. They brought us a wrong side dish and a wrong beer. Maybe it was just our server having a bad day. We didn't complain. I still recommend Avery to my friends and would go back for more beer.

Having been to both the old and current locations, this one is a huge improvement. Beers are typically great, food is delicious (and far more plentiful) at the new location. A beautiful summer day is the perfect time to sit on the patio.

Awesome beers, great food and overall friendly service. Hillary, sadly, was rude to everyone in our large party. She was a horrible first impression, but fortunately the service was better after that.

For my first trip to Boulder, Avery Brewing Company came highly rated. I was not disappointed. Their experimental beers are all so interesting I had have to have the waitress come back twice because I could not make a decision! Thankfully, they have small pours available so you can make your own flight. The food also was amazing! They have a great variety of meat lover and vegetarian options.

Also, special COVID note: they are not fooling around with taking precautions. As someone traveling from chicago, with much higher infection rates and stricter restrictions, I was surprised at how casual everything seemed to be in CO. Not at Avery. Everything was properly sanitized and they were taking every effort to distance people appropriately. My husband and I NEVER eat inside, but at Avery, the tables were so distant, we felt comfortable doing so.

Top notch all around!!

Get the tour, free 5oz beers and fun history of Adam and Larry Avery. Good luck stumping Chris, he knew everything about the brewery and company. I ve done about 12 brewery tours and this was my favorite because it was unscripted and laid back. They brew about 85,000 barrels per year and have plans to grow to 500,000 barrels per year in the next few years.

One of the best breweries in CO! Fantastic selection of very high quality and varied brews; something for everyone. They have also invested in one of the best facilities and kitchens in the area. The restaurant is a destination in and of itself, so don't hesitate to check this place out even if you're not a brew hound.

Great selection of high quality and creative beers. Food was good, presented very well, but I thought the prices were a little high for the quality. They do say they try to source their food locally so that would explain most of the slightly higher prices. Atmosphere is great and staff were friendly.

I would recommend making reservations even during the week.

Awesome selection of some of the best beers available. So much variety there is something everyone can enjoy. The service was excellent. The food was delicious, but was a little expensive for what you get. If you are a fan of great beers, you NEED to visit.

Great place to grab a beer. Best sit outside if you want to have a conversation downstairs, the bar is typically packed and rather loud. The food is good, but a little pricey though that's made up for with the friendly staff and great beer. Will come back again.

The outdoor seating area DESPERATELY needs to be EXPANDED, with the ability to order drinks from the bar (the system in place is terrible as the line forms blocking the door). Beer is always great tho
