Authentic Scandinavia AS Reviews

My wife and I just finished up the 'Scandinavian Capitals & Fjords' tour that we booked through Authentic Scandinavia. They handled and booked most details of the trip. All went off smoothly and as advertised. We had no problems so did not have to test their 'crisis solving' skills. One real plus was their detailed comments of all travel connections. There is a bit of train to bus to boat to train again activity with this trip but their instructions made it easy. This is our first time using a travel planning service and we found that doing so made the trip a lot easier than having to figure things out for ourselves. We would use them again if we choose to return to that part of the world.

Great program, allows you to do whatever you want at your own pace in the time you have in the cities. Wonderful for independent travellers. I had a fantastic experience exploring Scandinavia on my own terms with this company.

Great trip! Really well planned out and evenly-paced. It was so easy to follow and served as a great intro. to the country for our later independent explorations.

We really had good time during our sojourn to Scandinavia and the Baltics. We want to thank Ms. Annika Caro-Valenzuela for all the help received during the organization and the booking of the trip. The information given was very helpful.

There are a couple of points I would like to mention that will need review.

The instructions of the initial journey to the Silja line terminal in Stockholm city, was erroneous.
The instructions said Silja line terminal was only 500 meters from the Gardets underground Station. In reality we had to drag our suitcases and the other items and walk for nearly 1 Kilometer before reaching the Jetty. That was unexpected ,irritating and very tiring . The instructions must be revised.

All the hotels were excellently located but the First hotel Mayfair in Copenhagen did not meet the standards expected and the staff were not very helpful either. So I would not recommend that hotel. There are many other good hotels in Copenhagen .

Overall all the arrangements were very good . We will be glad to travel with Authentic Scandinavia AS Tour Operators again and would recommend it to others. A special word of thanks to Ms. Annika Caro-Valenzuela

We had an amazing 10 day trip to Norway, Denmark and Sweden! Authentic Scandinavia gave us all the documents/vouchers, and provided detailed itinerary that included address, phone #s, places to eat. It was very organized and it was very smooth throughout the trip.

They suggested eating at AEgir Microbrew in Flam, and it was one of the best meals i've ever eaten!

Authentic Scandinavia was easy to work with, they are very quick to respond to questions, and give you all the information you need to have a really fun, headache free, trip!

their work is like a magic. our personal requests were a lot, and they can make all of them fit perfectly to the itinerary. and when we arrived to the destinations, all have been arranged and perfect. also for the staffs that I contacted via e-mail, thumbs up for you!

We took a 4-day cruise with us for "shopping" opportunities
Hurtigruten into Finnmark. Overwhelmed by the changing day
light (especially the blue hour) we enjoyed the landscape and the countryside
gang, connected with the sights of the places Honningsvag,
Kirkenes and Vardoe. Unfortunately there was no trip to the due to the weather
North Cape possible - The service team of MS Trollfjord plays a major role
help that this trip (50th wedding anniversary) will not be forgotten.
Norway has been our travel destination several times, the far north will be
definitely visited again by us.

My husband and I recently took a trip with Authentic Scandinavia to Sweden and Norway for our honeymoon. Right from the beginning of booking our trip and choosing our activities for each day, we had such a great experience with AS. This was our first trip out of the USA so we were nervous about transportation and accommodations but AS put our minds at ease. The customer service reps with AS were very responsive to our questions and explained the booking process and prices so well. To top it all off, when we got to Scandinavia our itinerary and vouchers that AS sent us were so thorough, specific, and helpful. They had rides set up for us to and from all of our activities and accommodations which were always easy to find and on time. Many of our meals were included in our booking price and there were no extra hidden fees. AS made our honeymoon unforgettable and stress-free. We would recommend AS to anyone wishing to go on a trip of a lifetime to Scandinavia!

It was one of the best vacations, very well planned by authentic scandinavia team! The booking went smoothly but more importantly the details shared by you was perfect! I also highly appreciate the honest guidance and suggestions you shared during my trip planning - like to avoid back to back flights due to weather, take city or airport hotel based on our trip timings, winter clothing, alternate activities to suite our trip and choices.

It was an unforgettable trip - gorgeous nature, beautiful architecture, and amazing northerners... but special thanks go to Authentic Scandinavia for organizing everything and making that trip a reality.

The entire trip went flawlessly like clockwork! There hasn't been a single hiccup anywhere along the way, and there was A LOT of opportunities for things to go wrong considering that I traveled 4 countries in 10 days by trains, buses, and cruise ships, as well as did tours here an there.

I highly recommend these guys for your Scandinavian trip. they are very detail oriented, extremely organized and highly responsive.

What an amazing trip to Norway! Authentic Scandinavia was so easy to work with , planned everything for our trip. We had the luxury of flexibility, not being in a group tour, but had all the benefits as if we were. The 2 day mini cruise in January on the hurtigruten with departure from tromso and arrival in kirkenes was truly unforgettable. This tour included one night at the Clarion Hotel the edge; an excellent hotel close to the port. I take this opportunity to thank Ms Jessica Luster of the agency for her kindness and availability in accepting my requests :) The ship, MSTrollfyord, although a little dated, is able to satisfy every need, The dinners were excellent; one served ed

In kirkenes we booked, always with the same company, the "King Crab Safari". The tour was very pleasant, the guide was really very nice and after a sleigh ride to reach the place and having extracted the crabs from the hole already prepared in the ground (frozen fjord), the usual ritual photos were taken. The tour then ended with an amazing crab meal in a delightful cottage nearby ... VOTE 10 !!
The only drawback was the tour "Northern lights chase by minibus in tromso". I honestly expected better; I was convinced that the guide
as well as happened on other excursions we did for the aurora, he would have driven to get away from tromso where that evening
climatic conditions were unfavorable. Instead we spent practically the whole evening in front of a bonfire in a typical Sami
lavvu chatting with the other members of the group ... disappointing ...

I used Authentic Scandinavia to help me book a trip from Oslo to Bergen and it was absolutely wonderful. They booked all my trains, ferries, hotels, and excursions and everything was timed perfectly and it went flawlessly. It was daunting to book it all myself so it was such a relief to have someone who knew what they were doing book it for me. I can't recommend them enough. Everyone I worked with was so nice and helpful.

Everything fell perfectly into place, having AS take care of the bookings and itinerary made the trip so much easier.
