Australasian Recruitment Company Review

I could not recommend a recruitment agency more! The team at Australasian have been so fantastic. They provided constant support through the entire hiring process and afterwards too. Even during Covid when I was unemployed they continued to check up on me to ensure I was doing okay. Australasian made the move to the UK so much easier and I have already recommended them to all of my friends thinking of moving here.

The staff at Australasian are brilliant. Although I was never given an assignment through them because I already had another assignment through Signature, Australisian still rang me every couple of months to check that I was ok and whether they could help me with any other work. I was registered with several other agencies at once and only Australasian and Signature were helpful and kept following up.

Wasn't what I expected it to be
I registersed to get into entry level admin/office work etc since end of 2017 so I could get my foot in the door, depsite waiting few months later and working at jobs I didn't like I was offered a 1 month temp job at the MACE Marco. I did the one full day of work there, getting to know the basics and myself well to other managers and suddenly at the end of my shift 10 minutes later, I got a phonecall from Rob from the Australasian Recrutiment Company. He gave me really negative feedback saying that "I was quiet and that they weren't sure of how I was doing" and despite my efforts explaining to Rob that it was my first day and that I was getting to know the role, he then put his foot down and decided to cancel the 1 month temp role assignment which not only shocked me but found it very insulting and extremely unfair to think that they could let me off like this. I was not happy with the result and decided to call them again the next morning to get my head straight into as why they decided to let me go and said that "I wasn't the right fit for the job" which I was angry and disappointed about this despite explaining to them that I was just getting started. After hearing this appauling feedback, I would not recommend to any of my friends or family to register for this company, even if they're from Australia or New Zealand.

I cannot recommend Australasian Recruitment Co high enough. From the moment they replied to my first email they were efficient, kind and consistently went above and beyond. Their process is thorough, finding out what you really want from your next job and what you can bring to the table. Throughout this you will meet a variety of staff, and everyone I encountered was friendly, committed to their work and made the process comfortable and streamlined. I was being called multiple times the following week with offers of roles - all of which felt crafted and fitting to me as a person and what I wanted from my next job. In the end, I'm starting a job next week in a company I hadn't dared dreamed of working with, and had interviewed for a different role with a phenomenally impressive and influential woman. Thanks Australasia!

Australasian Recruitment Company have been utterly fantastic throughout my job-search. I registered with them during the period of lockdown and even though I wasn't able to go in and meet the team in person, their onboarding process and updates gave me the impression they cared about my career journey and were invested in my success. From the moment I registered with them, to interviews and then to making a final decision on roles their consultants have been extremely supportive and encouraging, whilst offering professional advice on how to navigate looking for my next role. I received excellent advice on how to improve my CV as well as how to interview well and have been able to secure interviews even during a pandemic. They listened to what I wanted from a role and suggested things that would be most suitable to me. I really can't recommend them highly enough.

Since being in the UK I ve signed up with lots of agencies. Some never called me...ever. Australasian Recruitment were the complete opposite in every way: very frequent contact, very transparent about everything, extremely professional and the most lovely people! I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Australasian was by far the best recruitment agency I worked with while looking for temp roles in London. They called me often with relevant, interesting temp roles, and contacted me quickly (when I had a query). There were never any issues with timesheets, or being paid, and they were always friendly on the phone. I would highly recommend them.

The Australasian staff have been incredible! I spoke to them when I was still in Sydney, and started temp work on my 19th day in London (which ended up turning into a permanent job). I joined Australasian as a candidate 3 years ago when I was looking for temporary/admin jobs, unsure of the field of work I wanted to commit to. Going through a work transition is stressful enough. Australasian are a fantastic recruitment company! Being an Aussie myself, they were super helpful in initially describing how working in London may differ to back home over our initial conversation. Then when I went into their office, I met a few consultants who were so friendly and welcoming.

Most of my initial temp roles were organised through Rob who was fantastic in helping me find some initial work to get some experience in London. Then I worked with Emma and Holly (who were also so wonderful) on a three month contract role which was extended, and now I am employed by that organisation in a 12 month role that will see until the end of my visa. I really owe it to Australasian!
I also had conversations and interviews organised through a few of their other consultants, and regardless of who I was talking with they all really put in effort to find roles that matched my experiences and expectatio. They work with some pretty amazing companies too!

I d definitely recommend approaching them if you ve moved to London and finding a respectable and efficient company dedicated to helping you find the right role and feel settled in. Big props for the Aussie Kiwi spirit!

Proactive approach to recruitment! I was registered with ARC where they asked me questions to explore what skill set I possessed and what company/role would be a great fit. Their ability to identify transferable skills lead me to secure a role within a week of registering! The team are also extremely friendly and professional - special thanks to Sara for my placement.

I was connected with Emma and the Australasian Recruitment Team through a contact in Auckland. They helped me narrow down my options for applications, supported me in editing and condensing my CV and provided support and feedback both before and after interviews, tailored to the London job market. Eventually, I was placed on assignment for a company in a temp role. The temp role led to my applying and successfully being recruited in a permanent role with said company. My experience with Australasian was amazing! I cannot recommend Australasian Recruitment Company enough, I had previously signed up with many other agencies in order to get work in administration but I was not getting any calls or offers of work. However when I signed up with Australasian I was regularly contacted by my consultant Santhiya, to discuss roles that were available. Within a couple of weeks of registering I was put forward for a role with a lovely University and got the job after my interview. I ended up staying with that organization for close to 12 months until my visa came to an end. The administration and payroll team at Australasian were also highly professional and were able to assist with any requests regarding leave etc.

Signing up with Australasian was the best decision I had made whilst in London, my only regret is not signing with them sooner!

Australasian is the best recruitment company I've dealt with since arriving in the UK. Their team is very professional and they always respond quickly to any queries. They provide all the information you need for your job assignment, something other recruitment agencies here seem to lack.

My Account Manager was incredibly helpful, she came across as genuinely interested in assisting me with my job search. I never felt like I was something to tick off her to-do list - which is the impression most recruiters left me with. Even after I was employed elsewhere, she still called me to check that I was happy with the new job! If that isn't dedication, I don't know what is.

Received an unsolicited email from Tessa asking me to contact her with regards to my current work search and requirements. I spent 10 minutes of my life ( that i won't get back) on the telephone to her and it became apparent she had no work in mind for me and instead tried to convince me that my years of experience as a global blue chip EA and Private PA along with a degree and Pitman EA diploma weren't good enough for the roles that they currently advertised. I thought their jobs looked pretty average to tell you the truth and was baffled to see the same jobs reposted months before with the same job references. Another bogus agency with fake jobs, fake reviews and incapable consultants. I think Tessa just needed to fill up her daily statistics for call's as all recruitment consultants have sales targets to hit & record. Avoid at all possible costs!

They have been very helpful in helping me find work. When I arrived I was working as a temp for 3 months. After the temp role finished I interviewed for a permanent role with a company set up by Australasia and I was successful! Everyone I spoke to were very friendly and will do their best to help you!

Awful recruitment agency. They haven't a clue how to place high end professional staff because they don't have high paid jobs on their books. Just an average agency with average salaries/wages. Just landed in the country? Look them up. Otherwise serious breadwinners go to LinkedIn. I have global connections with companies from Singapore and India and Australia wanting to work with me. This agency is plain awful.

I reached out to Australasian recruitment soon after arriving in London and they were an absolute dream to deal with. I talked with a few members within the team and they had great suggestions of opportunities that suited my skill set and the communication from these was super efficient. Amazing customer service, they do something a lot of the recruitment agencies in London don't do: Treat their candidates like real life humans! They treat every candidate with the same positivity, energy and service no matter how big or small a role they are trying to fill.

I emailed Australasian Recruitment Company about any possible positions that would suite my experience. Within just 30 minutes I had a phone call from one of the friendly team. They talked through my experience and what I wanted to achieve in my next role. This led to a potential opportunity available at Google as a recruitment coordinator. I was invited to the Australasian office straight away to meet the friendly team who discussed my CV and gave me advice/pointers on what Google are looking for. Within less than 2 weeks I was successful in securing an 11 month temporary assignment at Google. The advice, guidance and assistance from the team was truly next to none. The experience was very straightforward and fast and the team really put you at ease at all steps throughout the process.
