Receptionist was amazing! Room was fine, A/C won't cool down as cold as I like, but it stays comfortable. Only issue was that the room assigned to me was unlocked, but when I called down last night, they ensure me all was good. No issues after that.

The hotel was situated in a place that was very convenient for travelers. The property was very clean and the check-in process was very fast and efficient. The amenities of the hotel where open and you could see staff members constantly cleaning ensuring that the environment was as safe as could be. The room was well-appointed and quiet. The food in the restaurant was very good and there was a large choice of menu items. The service was nice and fast. I would recommend this property to anybody.

Total rip off company taking advantage of people in an emergency situation.
To start: In the confirmation email sent, I was given an address to a half demolished building. Stayed in that parking lot on hold for 20min trying to get the correct address. I went there and finally checked in with the front desk agent who was very nice and accommodating (might be the only saving grace in this whole experience). On the booking phone call, I specifically upgraded the room to include a microwave and fridge, arrived at the room only to find a super tiny mini fridge and no microwave. Next day I was charged $621 when my confirmation quoted $472 with taxes and all. At NO point during the booking process (booked over the phone with live agent), confirmation email or on the locations website, does it notify you of this mysterious "incidentals charge." I've never experienced this at any hotel I've ever stayed at. It supposedly gets refunded 5 days after check out but for someone who's not swimming in dough and is only here because of a winter storm, this was a huge inconvenience and put a toll on finances for this week.
When I inquired about this, the hotel manager is extremely condescending and pulls up the "digital entry terms of use" page on the MARRIOTT website which no one ever goes to. They go straight to the website that they are booking with! With the weather worsening, I asked her how much it would be to extend the stay for another day or two upon availability and she was unwilling to adjust the rates at all for those extra days due to those being in "high demand."

Unaccommodating, conniving, and seriously overpriced. Save your benjamins and go to a Motel 6 for the same thing or even better. When booking a hotel in the future, I will eliminate "Marriott" from my search terms for good.

I had planned my trip two weeks in advance and booked a room at Springhill Suites by Marriott. Unfortunately, the manager sent a late notice at 8:38 A.M. the Friday morning we were supposed to arrive, locating us to another hotel (Austin Marriott South). It was one of the worst hotel experiences I ve ever had. The indoor pool was cold (around 70 degrees) and offered no towels causing my girlfriend and I to walk back into our room soaking wet. To make it worse, the breakfast portions were extremely small; my elementary school lunch would ve been more filling than what I was offered at this hotel! If I had known I was going to be relocated to this hotel sooner, I would ve been more prepared and brought more food and accessories. Lastly, the hotel rooms were poorly equipped. The only available microwave was in the main lobby, so we would always have to travel up and down the elevator in order to heat up the food we bought. After this experience, I will not be booking with any Marriott Hotels in the future.
****NOTICE
If you are transferred to another Marriott Hotel than the one intended, BE SURE TO CONFIRM IF THE SAME AMENITIES ARE BEING OFFERED TO ENSURE YOU ARE GETTING YOUR MONEYS WORTH

I originally booked at the SpringHill Suites across the street and was moved here for some sort of COVID related reasoning. I was initially annoyed because judging by photos this place did not seem as nice. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the cleanliness and service from the front desk staff. I only booked this hotel for Friday night because I wanted to stay somewhere "luxury" the following night. Given that this hotel was around $100 total and the boutique hotel was nearly $400 for one night, I wish I would have stayed here both nights!! It was such a better experience here than the more upscale place.

Nothing fancy but a very solid stay with impeccable service!

Room is small. Sheets are old and need to be replaced. I requested more towels, blanket and toothbrush, waited three hours and called again to request the items since they failed to do it the first time . The To go breakfast was a small juice an apple and some cheap pastry. And if you want to dine in you have to pay extra but the breakfast is something you would feed a child and my child didn't even like this . Worst place I've stayed. The lobby was the o ly nice thing about the hotel.

If you were to look at this hotel objectively, it does the job. It has doors, a roof, and beds - It's a building that allows guests to stay on a short term basis. So folks, please double check with your original hotel booking and make sure the reservation does not get moved to the Austin Marriot South. And if it does, bless your soul.
