Overall my experience at Austin Grill has been very positive. From the bartenders to the servers; very professional and absolutely friendly. Their attention to costumer service is immaculate and will always keep coming back for any given occasion. Please don't forget to tip your bartenders and your servers!

Service: No complaints.
Environment was nice.
The meal was way overpriced for the quality and quantity.
15$ got me a plate full of re-fried beans and rice, with 2 very small and low-quality enchiladas.
I have had better for much less. I have had store-bought from the freezer section that tasted better.

Service was AMAZING!
The food was definitely great! Very nice family place as well as a nice Adult hang out. Drinks range between $9 and about $14. Definitely a visit worth taking.

$3 happy hour beers...best thing. Food is average at best. Pulled pork taco meat was tough... that's hard to do. Both meats for the steak & chicken tacos we're barely warm with minimal seasoning. I assume they cook the meat & place in a container for service later...not reheating on the flattop to give heat & char. Best taco of the four was the ground beef hard shell taco; decent seasoning. salsa was decent but had very minimal heat. For the price probably won't be back.

Bartender was nice but didn t listen, I ordered the presidente margarita, not the Cadillac margarita... he apologized but didn t fix the drink. Also didn t refill our waters... wings took forever bc they burned them, when they came out I said they look really charred, he said but that flavor is there right... didn t offer to fix them... if a customer complains you should fix it... we ve been coming here for yrs... you guys are the only place w good grilled wings... we ll be looking for a new place to go

I don't see anything special about the food at this national chain. I have had fajitas, burritos, rice. Everything tasted kinda bland. If you like Tequila they have a large selection.

My friends and I went to the Austin Grill in Springfield for the first time and it was a really good experience. We all were seated quickly and then we were presented with free complimentary chips with salsa. I ordered a steak and my best friend ordered ribs. We both agree that the food was awesome.

Our Server was fast, and was very informative about some of the items on the menu. Once everyone had finished their meals, we ordered deserts. They were relatively inexpensive and were delicious. The overall price for 5 people was very reasonable, and I have to say that it was a great value! All in all, it was a good experience and we will come back again.

Food was okay. Rice was a bit overcooked, almost as if was reheated from yesterday. Beans were pretty bland. But not all was bad, the chips and salsa were great though. However, I don't think I'm convinced enough to go back and try anything else.

Pleasantly surprised.
Wasn't expecting much from this suburban strip mall Tex/mex spot, but was very happy with my meal. The server suggested the fish tacos and they were some of the best I've ever had. My wife really liked her chicken enchiladas too. Would've liked a little more kick with the chips and salsa, but besides that a very good meal.

I love the pricing, I love the food, I feel like the price is a little cheap so if I owned this place I would definitely higher the price, I once brought 50 people and it was only $3000 for a birthday party.

Went for trivia and was mostly disappointed. Unless you have a spot in the bar area, it's difficult to here the questions because of the music being played throughout the restaurant. We waited almost an hour for three margaritas and all of our food was served before we got our drinks (upon multiple requests placed on our server). The food was ok, nothing to rave about. Mostly likely will not be coming back.

Decent food in a Tex-Mex themed restaurant. Extremely attentive waiter named Ford helped us. I mentioned it was our first visit and he offered us a queso dip (on the house) while we reviewed the menu. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my husband had an avocado salad. Both were good. I'd go again. They also have a brunch menu for Saturday and Sunday's.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant and the kids love it. They have clowns such as Hugs and the wait staff over the years has been very good. On any mistakes made by kitchen or server, the managers or servers will make it right.

We have been coming here for many years and love this place, especially on Sundays for football!

3 stars for the outside dining option, fun music and margaritas. Great place to meet friends for chips, salsa, guac, drinks and desserts. Personally, the food all tastes the same. Great warm weather place to hang out!

I always enjoy their food. It is not always the most authentic or best mexican around, but it is always consistently good. The only real downfall that I have run into at this location is wait times and sometimes service can be a bit slow, otherwise I really like this place.

Love it here. I occasionally go here when I visit family who live near Austin Grill. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food is good and flavorful, and I love their tortilla chips!

I just left this establishment! Following a massage next door at Massage Envy in Springfield, I decided to try the Austin Grill. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady who accommodated my request for a booth. After reviewing the menu I sat for 10 minutes, passed by multiple servers and the bartender who each made eye contact with me, but never asked if I'd been helped or offer any water. I eventually asked the gentleman bussing s nearby table if their was a server for this area and he said he'd get someone. Approximately 5-7 minutes passed and still no one came to my table. I then decided that I didn t deserve this dismissive, disinterested and deliberately unprofessional treatment and left the restaurant. I let the hostess know how unfortunately I say for almost 20 Minoan my presence was not even acknowledged. As a first time guest, active service member and Virginia resident, I am extremely disappointed in the treatment (or lack thereof) when visiting the Austin Grill in Springfield and CAN Not in good faith recommend this establishment to anyone. Recommend to owner, management customer sensitivity and situational awareness training!!

CELIACs BEWARE!

CELIACs BEWARE!

I've actually gone to this restaurant a few times and had great experiences. But ... my most recent visit was not the case. I ordered my food from the Gluten Free menu. I even pointed to the menu when ordering and made sure the server knew my food had to be gluten free. My food arrived. It tasted delicious! About halfway through the manager came to the table checking on me (as if he was checking to see if he needed to call an ambulance or something). RED FLAG! He obviously does not know that gluten in a Celiac is not an ambulatory fix. There is NOTHING that can be done to counter the damage and the damage increases over time. Yes. There was gluten in my food. Yes. The manager had the guts to tell me they'd given me the wrong food. No. There is not a shot or medication that I can take to erase the damage. I will, slowly at first and then more rapidly, decline in my ability to ward off illness as all of the organs in my body are depleted of essential nutrients because there are no villi left in my gut to absorb said nutrients from my food. After being on a completely gluten free diet for a couple of years those villi will begin to grow back but they will never be as strong as they were before you contaminated me! Gluten free is NOT a choice for me. It is a necessity. I will say ... the manager did his best to make it right and comp'd our entire meal. That's why I gave them 3 stars. There really wasn't anything more he could do. Other than make sure he and his staff are completely aware of the dangers of neglectful work habits when it comes to stuff like this.

Updated to 5 stars - GM reached out to me and said the situation will be addressed. Hoping we don't encounter any other negative situations. ORIGINAL POST: First experience here was a great experience. We are new to the area and the one manager happened to be waiting on us. He had asked if we had been there and once finding out we had just relocated to the area for the military, he definitely showed his support and said that they offered a military discount. In addition to his great service, the food was really good as well. Since we had such a great experience, we decided to go back. This is where my issue resides...the host had seated us and our actual waiter never came to get our drink order. So, the guy that sat us noticed we had been waiting 10+minutes and took over being our server. To be clear, the food was just as good as the first visit. However, after asking our server for the military discount, he had asked me for military ID to take to the manager. I explained that I could not let him take my ID because all Federal/military employees need to have 100% control of the ID (security). He said that was fine and would have a manager come over to me. This is were my two star rating comes in....a different manager not the same as the first visit came over to verify my military ID to give me the discount. I was more than happy to show him. After he saw my ID, he pretty much implied that it was a fake ID by continuously asking me if it was a military ID and turning the card over and over again. He had said he served as well and kept saying my "CAC" was not an active duty military member ID. It immediately became very uncomfortable and almost to the point he was insinuating I was lying. I'm very disappointed that this had happened because of both great service from the other manager (also said he was prior service) and my family really enjoyed the food.

This is one of the few places we can get authentic Tex-Mex locally. I'm from Texas and went to school in Austin and it reminds me of home. The food is fantastic, service is great, the ambience is fun. My whole family loves it.

Absolute disgrace. Made an ill advised decision to dine at Austin Grill, and everyone not only left disappointed, but left feeling like we had just been robbed. I never leave negative reviews, but this must be said... 85 bucks for 3 people to eat fajitas that were slightly less edible than chipotle. No bueno. Don t waste your time if you seek quality, or are concerned with value. You will find neither.

as someone who use to work at this location i have to say the staff are almost as bad as the food most of the time they tell you to lie to the guest if you do not know a answer and all the food is out of bags and the cooks dont where gloves.

This place is disgusting. The menu was slimy (unclean), the food on the menu was bland, the service was awful, and there was a hair in my salsa. Do not go here!
I don't make very many negative reviews, I think I'm pretty fair. I repeat... Do not go here!

I've come here twice and each time I've ordered something different and each time I've been disappointed. The food is so bland and the chicken tastes weird. The rice is always hard and it taste like they just microwave a pack of rice and then placed it on your plate. I do not recommend this place if you want Tex Mex food. Overpriced for mediocre food.

This used to be our favorite restaurant. We moved away from the area and was so excited that we were back in the area. The restaurant had changed so much and not in a good way. Left feeling disappointed.
