Activities available in the town are Matrimandir, Planning & Architecture, Green Practices, Education & Research, Art & Culture, Health & Wellness, Social Enterprises
Media & Communication, Rural Development, and City Services.

This place is situated in Pondicherry. I like this place bcz i saw this place is very conservative for environment and economically point too. Lots of different country people used stay here and work together as volunteer to preserve that area very peaceful and eco-friendly. If you are interested ,We can get lots of opportunity to learn many ideas from many skillful guys from many countries .

Peaceful place to see the circle ! If u want to enter the glob u need to book in advance

It's good to go there. If you want to go inside Aurovile center you have to booking 2-3 days before and you can learn mediation.

Just relax... Take some time out of ur busy schedule and relax and recharge

The visitors Centre is the starting place to find out about the unique living experience in Auroville. To go inside Mantri Mandir you need to collect a free permit one day before from here.

Nice ambience. Sign posts can be put up for directions.

Rrlaxing and calming place especially for food lovers

Didn't get the tickets to visit the places. Read it online that we need to watch a video to book one day prior. But the tickets were totally booked for the next 4 days. Travelled all the way to auroville but a waste. Loved the route but the availability of tickets should be shown online to avoid unnecessary travelling and wastage of fuel.

Serene place built by Mother, Aurobindo Ashram in 1968. The Dharana at Matri Mandir is awesome. Swaram is the musical instruments shop for authentic instruments made here. Sound Garden gives a nice pass time musically

Matrunmandir replica and video. Bookshop, boutique and cofee shop are there. Matrumandir viewpoint and meditation booking done here. Bus to drop/pickup to Matru mandir. Focal point to get autos.

Really interesting ideas and the meditation centre seems from another world. Food is great and from all over the world

First place to visit in auroville. Free entry. Well maintained place, nice pictures and models of matrimandir. You can see a video on construction of matrimandir.

Nice but I can't go inside globe which need to get permission from reception that's all I experienced peace there nice

10 min. Walk to reach to auroville centre is awesome..

Good place. But we have to book a day prior to visit inside the meditation hall.

Should visit here....
couldn't get inside matrimandir due to shortage of time...
the dome has a meditation hall inside made of marbles with an opening on top of the dome to allow sunlight to come in...no lights inside...only a crystal kept at the center ....the sunlight falls directly on the crystal to illuminate the room.....

U need to walk around 3-4 KMS to reach the main mandir..there would be alternate options for senior citizens to reach the place

Visit only if you have lots of spare time and energy. Its a 2.5 km to and fro walk fron the parking.In total 5kms. Plus you get to see the actual monument from really far distance. Check out my pictures for better reference.

It is very calm , quiet and peaceful place, surrounding is green and shady .

Need to walk 1km to meditation center and apply in advance to go inside meditation center.

Auroville visitor centre is to see
" Matrimandir" view point. Near by eatery point is very good .In this place we can see video about Matrimandir meditation. Volunteers are giving guidance for visitors.

Place is not on the remote location. Even if you get bus you will need to do 1 to 1.5 km walk. Auto will be available from bus stop. Personally I feel the place is overrated if you are going just for sightseeing.

Wonderful place.But didn't get a chance to go inside it.

Lotus temple like and you are not allowed to enter... only click pictures from outside 100 meters away

Good direction led us thru superb forest trail, with serpentine red mud trails, amazing , awesome as in a no-man's-land

The ambiance and location is fully natural.
If you are a nature lover, a definite place to visit in Puducherry.

Peaceful place I go there for dreamers cafe and information centre

I just loved this place. The energy here, the surrounding, the people everything. There is some kind of positive spiritual vibe here actually a lot of it and I love it.
Pros:
You will find it as refreshing as it can be.
Close to nature.
A lot to know if you are following Aurbindo.
Cons:
A lot of walking.
Do not go if you don't believe in the the spiritual energy and those kinda things.
Far from city almost no network, get ready with offline maps. Thanks to technology.
