This would be in the top 3 zoos I've ever been to. There's a great mixture of culture, exhibits, architecture, play areas for children even the land it was based on is absolutely beautiful. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. It is a must see if you're visiting New Orleans.

This place is good to visit if you have time. The primary vising spots are AUDUBON ZOO, AUDUBON Aquarium. Beside that you can go for 2 WATER tours 1) HONEY ISLAND SWAMP TOUR 2) GRAY LINE SWAMP & BAYOU TOUR at 400 TOULOUSE ST, NEW ORLEANS LA 70130. 3) French Quarter, Bourbon street, Royal Street, CAFE DE MONDE, Museum at french Quarter, Jackson Square, RED FISH SEA food restaurant etc are main attractions we have visited. i recommend these places.

Beautiful, well-kept park with a great walking/running loop (nearly 2 miles) and little exercise stations intermittently situated along the way. It is usually busy, but my husband and I have never had trouble finding a parking spot. Awesome place to bird watch! Definitely a gem of the city. :) It is also a very family-friendly place with lots of shade and benches.

One of the more beautiful parks I have been in. It has a lot to offer with a zoo, golfing, and just wonderful scenery. The animals are plentiful but not obtrusive. As long as the day is fine walks and runs are great here with spots for exercise and water.

We love the zoo but it seems like the animals are always sleeping when we go
They tell us to go in the morning
They were asleep
We go in the afternoon
They are asleep
We go during lunch
They are asleep
And i thinks it's crazy how adults have to pay for the cool zoo also
Even if we arent getting in the water
Just my opinion

I've been to zoos all over Europe and a few in America, but Audubon Zoo New Orleans is by far the best zoo I've visited so far.
The enclosures are species-appropriate and as far as possible a view is possible that is not disturbed by fences or the like.
The white alligators and white tigers are special highlights.
The zoo can be easily reached from the French Quarter by public transport.
However, a walk is also quite interesting, as you can admire many of the magnificent buildings on the way.

I love it here. They improved so much since I have been going here since I was a child. And the creole restaurant they have in the Louisiana swamp part is amazing. Everything was soooo good.

Great smooth path for biking, jogging, or walking.
You will see a lot of dogs around!
Several body work areas around-like playgrounds for adults. There are also kids playgrounds.
Beautiful for a walk among the oak trees of New Orleans.

Park is huge and has many playgrounds for the kiddos. Plenty of water and places to walk and run. Bathrooms were clean and there were beautiful fountains and statues. There is work out equipment thru out the park as well.
