Audubon Park and Zoological Garden Review

Lovely local park that you can take your kids to with the recently updated play sets. Or you could take a leisurely stroll around the 2 mile circuit while watching the ducks and enjoying nature.

Southern half of the park has the zoo and a wonderful area for photos (look up the tree of Life). Northern half is perfect for a run.

Beautiful park and excellent biking/walking trails. Taking the short loop all the way around is a good way to spend a couple hours relaxing.

My girlfroend and I went there to see the Christmas lights; we were bothe EXTREMELY disappointed...and that's being nice.

Very cool area, nice park, next to the zoo and a golf course, historic houses all around, gas porch lights all over, very cool area, was pleasantly surprised.

This visit was great. No animals escaped while I was visiting so that s nice.

It is a beautiful zoo, but super expensive considering how few animals are on display. Although buting the multipass is a great idea. This gets you into the aquarium, Insectorium and their movie theatre. It is also good for up to 30 days, so you can dpace out the visits

A very nice park for outdoor sports and approaching wildlife.

Fun vacation day trip. A little overprice but at least parking lot was free. Very congested at closing time. Would suggest leaving a little early to avoid the traffic.

Truly a real jewel of new Orleans, everyone needs to come out and enjoy this magnificent park.

Great place to visit. The food is a little bit pricey, but good.

We drive from Florida regularly and love it every time! We are constantly learning new things about the animals and conservation. The over night stays are a MUST!! Fun for the whole family.

The only thing that is not right, about AUDUBON Park is when they do not clean behind their animals, all types.... I am not speaking of all just a few

Amazing open park. Playgrounds, golf, sports fields and places to BBQ.

All of the staff was nice and great gift shop. Love the different species of animals. Very easy to navigate.

Lots of whistling ducks and other waterfowl. Nice walking paths

Very nice zoo, one of our favorites. Lots for kids to do and climb on, which equals tired little ones at the end of the day. Win!

A lap around this place makes my heart sing. Whether you want to walk, run, ride your bike, roller blade, walk your dog, anything's possible. This place provides a much needed oasis of green when I need it the most.

Popular park for locals and tourist alike. Running/walking path, bike path ponds, bathrooms, kids playgrounds, fountains, statuary, and events , need I say more?

Disappointed in the number of animals. Some of the animals werr alone and seemed so sad. Hope that when the renovations are complete it will be better.

The zoo is fantastic, and literally everyone we spoke to went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have a great time.

Audobon Park, and Zoo, is a great place to visit. There are larger zoos, but this Zoo has not only good exhibits, but a very nice flavor of Louisiana, a lot Cajun, in the presentation of the exhibits. To be completely honest, the snack cafes are a little sad, so eat before you come, but otherwise it was good. The water park was closed but the whole place is very kid friendly. The part of the park that isn't zoo looks nice, is well cared for, and borders the river. It was busy and obviously a popular location. They have facilities for outdoor concerts and events, and lots of people had their dogs out playing Frisbee and we're barbequing. Our kids want to go back.

Awesome exhibits! Very clean, we'll maintained, and the staff is very, very friendly.

It really amazing Park. Huge trees, perhaps Oak? But they were festooned with hanging moss and Vines. Really Majestic. And they also have nice clay tennis courts. I didn't get to play there, because it was raining. But one day I will.

The perfect place to go for a jog. Most of the running trail is covered in trees so you will not get as exposed to the sun in hot days. The space is pretty, plenty of people bring their children on the weekends to relax and go for a walk. It is also a good place to go sight seeing.

Meh. Nothing to call home about. Hassled by the police a bit for no reason. Cop seemed more suspicious than anyone in the park. I was just there to shoot photography. He was there to be a prick.

This is a very clean, well taken care of zoo. They are adding on and making improvements to the animal enclosures.

Great place for adults and children, always expanding to better accommodate the animals.

What a great urban park. I run it's paved track. And perimeter off road track. I like to take my boys 2-3 to the 3 playgrounds as a daily lap. very worth it

The atmosphere of the zoo was awesome, but the activity of the animals was not so awesome.

This park is really great. There is a walking path that goes either direction and a dedicated bike path going only one direction. Lots of trees, uptown homes, water, and a golf course are a few things to look at while on the trail.

There are always people there so it s pretty safe.

One of my favorite things is that it takes you away from the busy city life in Nola.

Magic in terms of the grounds alone. Add the animals and the zoo staff...it is a perfect antidote to city life. Audubon is serious about all of their endeavors.
