Truly needs better lighting. While the park is great, there is no excuse for the poor lighting there.

Beautiful. Nice long path around a lake full to the brim with ducks. There's a golf course right next door so watch out for your head in certain areas (don't worry, there'll be signs). There are lots of beautiful dogs and old oak trees.
The perfect setting for a lunch with a friend. Right across the street from Tulane University and Loyola University of New Orleans campuses. So you might even meet some cool college students. Good place to run, jog, take the kids, or bring friends and just set up your own game. Surrounded nice homes and beautiful trees with history, you can enjoy yourself in many ways. And definitely would be a joy if your out of town person or just a local.
Beautiful park. You can walk around and get lost here. A must if you're wandering around in the garden district.
Audubon Park is very relaxing. They keep the grounds up compared to other city parks.
Always a great time at the Audubon Zoo. We went to the splash park where we rented a cabana to stay out of the blazing sun then headed to the carousel for a quick ride before heading home.
Clean, well maintained, beautiful enclosures, wide variety of animals, educational.
Zoo with water park! Golf course, pavement for biking walking running, lakes,,,etc. .The river view tho!
We have a family membership and visit the zoo, aquarium, and insectarium several times a year. We love this place, but recently I got to attend a Girl Scout badge workshop here and was able to experience the zoo from a new aspect. It was great! Our workshop guide was knowledgeable and got the girls engaged and learning! As a family this is one of our favorite places to go and we make good memories here with our children.
It is awesome. We had baseball tournaments there. They were so clean and enjoyed the sights of park and Mississippi River
All the exhibits were out, we saw all the animals, it was beautiful!!!
What a place to have fun. Went in June so it was hot but lots of shade to enjoy.
Beautiful well maintained park with free parking, picnic spots, views of river, courts and fields for games. Needs water drinking fountains. Some construction upgrades were going on during our visit.
A wonderful zoo in New Orleans. Some of the birds wander freely. I enjoyed feeding the otters.
Half of the exhibits are closed or dirty. Didn't see alot of animals.
One of the nicest zoo's I have been to! Staff is very friendly!
A beautiful zoo, fascinating Swamp Life exhibit was my favorite.
Very nice and net park. A lot of activity for all ages in one one small playground.
I would recommend for anybody around to to give it a try.
I was there for more than 2 house and my kids still didn't have enough.
Great place to go for a run. Really like the intermittent workout stations along the track.
Well cared for and loved animals. Environment is incredible with each area being themed.
It was absolutely an outstandingly beautiful spring day. People in the park everywhere jogging, walking, biking. We didn't participate but here there is a zoo on one side of the park and a golf course in the middle we hung out by the water and watch the Ducks. What a beautiful setting in the Garden District of New Orleans which is surrounded by beautiful older homes. Beautiful neighborhood can take the trolley. Also you can go visit some of the local cemeteries. Which are close by
We had a fun time, once we got over the price of entry..2 adults and a 2, 3, & 7 year old was $100+!!!!!
Beautiful park! Nice place to bring a blanket and have a picnic under the shade trees.
Nice oasis in the middle of the garden district of the city. Has everything, running, playground, tennis, etc.
I feel there sould be more interaction with the animals, lime maybe someone standing out with a snake that visitors can touch at the snake attraction or someone with a trained, talking bird to show at bird attraction.
Fro the price I was thoroughly under impressed. The space is large and beautiful, but they need more animals for one and there no I'm formation given on the animal. I'm from St. Louis and I'm used to having an exquisite Zoo for free, but with name Audubon I expected more!!!
Never need to see another black bellied whistling duck for the rest of my life.
I take my kids every year for the past 3 yrs. The prices once inside are high. It is basically what you would expect from a park. Definitely need more exotic animals.
Walk here all the time. Beautiful and well maintained.
Must go if you're visiting or local. Every time I go there is something new. Pricing once in the park is reasonable but they allow you to bring ice chests in too!
Just an amazing place to run, walk, etc
in all my years of running I have not come across a place this perfect to do so. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Zoo with alot of exhibits and features. An entire day experience.
Beautiful park. Really enjoyed running along the path in the early morning. It's located in a great area and has a pond and lots of birds, beautiful trees and a golf course.
The swamp exhibit was so well put together. One of the best zoos I have been to.
New Orleans elegance, beautiful grounds, great staff.
I've Loved the Audubon zoo since I was a child. The exhibits are beautiful, they're always adding new things. New habitats, there's even a water park now. Plus they still hold onto that old New Orleans architecture, Beautiful oak trees and buildings. Not to mention fresh Roman pulled taffy!!
Best zoo Ive been to yet. Lots of different animals to see.
A little pricey, still had a good time. Reptile exhibit is top notch. They need to mow some of the exhibits. Great zoo for kids.
Recently helped my wife with a wedding she coordinated at the Tea Room. The staff were extremely helpful, well prepared and a wealth of information. They provided all of talked that were needed and the venue was spotless. Great service and a great time!
Always amazing!
If you are bringing a family i recommend you go ahead and purchase the family membership and visit the aquarium and insectarium too. Esp. if you are close enough to go more than once. It really isn't much more expensive.
It's a nice place to stop after the hustle and bustle of New Orleans and it's right on the st. Charles streetcar line
Historic and iconic park right in the center of the University District. Get off the streetcar in front of Tulane University and walk through the Grand Gates the lovely Green Space very well-kept. Water spaces The Fountains keep water hyacinths from clogging up the place. Look for the odd Turtle hanging out. Bike paths, running paths and little healthy stops to do some cardio. Keep walking toward the river and can go through their so-called executive golf course of par 3 holes. Featuring a lovely Clubhouse worth the stop for a drink. Keep walking to get to Audubon Zoo one of the country's best. Tho technically not part of the park, you could still keep walking to the Butterfly to hang out on the Mississippi River..
Exhibits seemed a bit small for some of the animals. Most animals were either sleeping or seemed unhappy. Llamas were not well groomed. Sadly one of the parrots danced to the same song repeatedly for hours straight with no one there to turn the song off for breaks. I've been to quite a few zoos but this one by far was not the best. I was just visiting from another state, so hopefully I just caught you guys on a bad day.
Nice park, but no restrooms. Closest John is Monkey Hill Bar
Clean, ducks were out. Birds were flying. A lot of people were enjoying the wheather.
Gorgeous! A trip to New Orleans wouldn't be complete without a visit to Audubon Park!
Cool zoo lots of interesting animals plus a water park.
Audubon park, across the street from Tulane University is always well kept. The pedestrian/cycling path is always paved and smooth. Amazing considering we are in NOLA! Great place for family walks, watching the ducks and just being outside. There is a golf course in the middle of the park, never used it, looks well kept as well. If you are looking to go fast on a bicycle, I would stick to the levee trail.
Wonderful for a pleasant stroll in lovely surroundings.
