Works hard to understand the needs of each patient and will get provide you with the best plan for treatment tailored to your needs. A great chiropractor is essential to have in your corner when trying to over come any ailment!!

Atlas Wellness Center has time and time again surpassed my expectations when I've needed them most. Dr. Rice and Dr. Kosta are absolutely amazing at what they do. Not to mention their friendly, yet very professional staff of therapists (massage, acupuncture, PT, Pilates, ect). The girls at the front make everyone feel right at home as well. 5 stars isn't enough to describe this place.

Dr. Rice is awesome! He s super gentle with his adjustments and very professional. Unlike other chiropractors that I have been to, he doesn t try and get you to come in 3-5 times per week, but rather as needed. He also provides you with the exercise and tools to help with your progression at home. I ve already recommend him to a few friends...and will keep spreading the word!

I m so excited to find Atlas Chiropractic,,,, Louis Rice and his team gave me a safe professional experience! I had thrown out my low back and ribs while being sedentary during lockdown. Upon returning to my normal pre quarantine routine it became evident my mobility had been dramatically impacted,,,, Every time I would take a breath the pain was so intense I felt I might pass out. I needed assistance getting out of the car and even just to walk. I can t remember the last time I was this bad as I have always believed in the benefits of chiropractic wellness. Quarantine does not agree with my spine but Atlas Chiropractic definitely does! The relief I felt was almost instantaneous like pulling out a giant splinter from my back and neck! Dr. Rice is very informative and gives the best adjustments. I always go to him when I am dealing with lower back or neck pain. The adjustments help so much and take all of my pain away. I definitely recommend going here for adjustments, they are the best!

Oh how I have missed thee!!! For the last 3 months I've had panic attacks and trouble swallowing, breathing and eating. It was so bad I'd take a bath to try and relax and was usually in there for 3+ hours. I finally got Kaiser to schedule me with an ENT on June 1st. I decided to go see my OG chiropractor,Louis Rice, and I'm so glad I did. He took X-rays and had the results immediately as I was standing there. We discussed my symptoms and he let me know my trouble spots directly relate to my neck muscles, voice, larynx, etc. He adjusted me so easily that it was shocking especially since he hadn't seen me since 2011 ish. I am so happy and grateful because I haven't had a panic attack since then. It is a shame so many people don't believe in chiropractic care or are terrified to go see one. I'm a HUGE BELIEVER in chiropractic care because I've experienced the results myself and gave also worked for one. It's all about finding the right chiropractor that you feel comfortable with and trust. If your body is in the proper alignment than it can do its job more easily and keep us healthy. Definitely check out Atlas WellnessCenter in Costa Mesa. They are great and know their stuff which is why I used to drive from Redondo Beach.

I woke up Wednesday morning in excruciating pain. I felt so much pain in my neck and shoulders that I couldn't even shrug and it seemed to radiate down my back. I went to Atlas for help. I got adjusted and the doctor recommended a massage more specifically cupping to help with the tightness in my muscles.

I was very skeptical about it but I was in so much pain that I decided to give it a shot. Wendy performed a cupping treatment on my entire back, neck and shoulders.

I could feel the suction of the cups along my body but it was never painful instead it felt amazing. I could feel the tension in my muscles releasing. Apparently, all my stress accumulated in my shoulders and neck. She said the "cup" marks left on my body would go away in a week tops. The darker the circle the more toxins were released. She put in simple terms for me... cupping stimulates blood flow, relaxation, and alleviates pain.

She recommended acupuncture to help further release the tension in my body and "de-stress." Cupping did help and I could actually move my shoulders again. But I still felt some pain so I went for it.

Yesterday, I went to see the acupuncturist. I was even more worried about it. The idea of putting needles in my body made me uncomfortable. Ms. Chang (the acupuncturist) put my mind at ease before doing anything she asked me about my medical history, what I've been feeling, and daily activities. She listed different treatment options but she had two types in mind that she believed would help me. She recommended "moving cupping" since I had already been "cupped" on Wednesday, I still bared the marks; and acupuncture with electric stimulation. I didn't know how beneficial acupuncture could be it helps promote stress/anxiety relief, fix hormone issues, and the list goes on.

She used different acupuncture points to help release everything because I was lying face down I wasn't so nervous and she always checked up on me. As she put the needles around my body I couldn't feel a thing each time she put one in she would ask me how I felt. She wired the needles with wires that plugged into a little machine and told me I'd feel light little pulses of electricity along the muscles of my body. It felt great I literally could feel my muscles relaxing. It was the quickest hour of my day. Her initial exam was $120 it may sound pricey but for the time and quality of care I got it was worth it. She took her time and really paid attention to me. She was even willing to take a picture like I asked. Definitely going back again to do both cupping and acupuncture!

I'm posting the picture that shows the cupping marks (that go away) and you can see the wires and the needles from the acupuncture therapy in it. These treatments helped fix my body and relief me of pain.

I went to see Dr Rice seeking relief for chronic neck and back pain. My first visit was following a week of debilitating pain from a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder
Dr Rice was very thorough and careful. He discussed and went over everything, truly making sense of what I was experiencing due to my specific misalignments. Dr Rice shows genuine desire to get his patients feeling better. He is very passionate about his work.
The day after my first adjustment was magical! I felt energized and firing on all cylinders and pinched nerve was gone!
Bonus to that improved blood flow is glowing skin and lifted brain fog. Skip the facial ladies -get an adjustment. No joke!
We have some continuous work to do but I've experienced major improvements after just a few visits. I can't say enough about Dr Rice and his staff, all so welcoming feels like family not just a business. Flexible scheduling laid back vibe.

Dr.Rice and his staff at Atlas are the best, they treat you like family. When I was hit by a drunk driver which broke my leg, Dr.Rice was one of the first people to reach out to my family. Amazing chiropractors, and overall great facility to get you to optimal health. They offer massage therapy, pilates, acupuncture, cold laser therapy and physical therapy in addition to the best chiropractic care.

Although I used to be scared of getting adjusted, I went to Atlas and Dr. Rice explained everything in detail. He did a thorough examination, including x-rays and a structural examination, which showed that I had one hip slightly higher than the other. After several adjustments, which were gentle and painless, my hips were stable and I felt tons better. I first came to the Atlas Wellness Center after a nasty car accident and my back was all tweaked up. Dr. Kosta went over all the options, addressed everything with methodical and documented tests and then started the treatment plan. From not being able to hold my daughter without having back spasms, Kosta was able to get me back to 100% within a short period of time. My first experience was educational as he collected data on me, then presented X-rays on a presentation screen in his office. I learned about the where/why s of my pain, and left with a plan to correct areas of concern. After my adjustment, I met with Marcelo. I love strong massages; and that s what I got! Marcelo speaks to Dr. Rice to find out the patient s needs, then works with purpose. He was laser focused and careful with my areas of pain. I walked out feeling like a million bucks! Would give them 10 if i could! It says it all in their name. Becoming..or returning to Wellness. My own path towards the Center was extremely unique and fortunate. I was involved in an near fatal auto/bicycle collision. Suffered Lower-mid back pain, a heavily bruised knee and multiple bodily contusions. I was lucky to say the least. After the accident, i had no direction. My body was in heavy shock and soreness. Also i was in disarray of how to heal..and where do i go? what do i do?" Returning to work, running and swimming it was taken away from me. In desperate need of a Blessing to assist my path to a healthy Recovery.

Dr. Louis Rice. From the very first appointment encompassed all of those values mentioned..in of excess. He patiently answered all of my questions, along with being Genuine and Honest about his methods and how and why i was experiencing such pain. Nervous system, Muscles and how the Brain reacts to the trauma etc. Informative and educational.
He took the time. He Cared. Dr. Kosta as well. Every visit with either doctor was seeming-less progressive. The medical process part of it was a breeze. Confidence.

I was referred by a friend when I was in very bad back & shoulder pain & frequent headaches. I have seen both Dr. Rice & Dr. Kosta and are both so attentive to my complaints & have given me feedback on what I need worked on based on x-rays and examination. Not only are they very good at what they do but they are genuine people who genuinely want to know how you re doing as well as family etc. Their front office is always sweet and always accommodates to my crazy schedule. Their massage therapists are extremely talented and you feel like you re at a hotel getting a massage but can pay with insurance! It s awesome ! I cannot emphasize enough how everyone needs to get an appointment just to get educated on what your body needs to feel good again. I also need to add that I am not a Yelper or reviewer I usually hate those platforms because often times most people complain and mislead public but I feel that this office is exceptional and would yelp all day to let people know it!! :))

Here's what you can expect from their sports care, based on my time at the Atlas Wellness Center (I saw Dr. Rice for my first visit):

On your first appointment, you'll be signed in by a professional, knowledgeable, and friendly receptionist. You'll get a firm handshake from Doctor Rice, and be taken back to an examination room. There will be no technicians and no other staff necessary except possibly for consultations; Dr. Rice does everything himself.

You'll be thoroughly evaluated not only for the issue that you came in, but also for any issues that can result from the primary problem. You'll be evaluated for ongoing problems, aches, pains; effectively, anything that they have the capacity to fix. You will, most likely, like me, discover things you didn't know were a PROBLEM, let alone could be fixed by chiropractic medicine.

At this point, Dr. Rice will likely explain to you both the cause and effects of whatever issues you're having. Unlike far too many professionals in the medical field, Dr. Rice has no problem explaining what he does, what he wants to do, and the potential effects on your body, and doing so in a way that is clear, simple, and inclusive.

After a treatment plan is laid out and your first adjustment or physical therapy performed, you'll likely feel better and have questions. Don't be afraid to ask; as mentioned above, the doctors and staff are extremely knowledgeable, and want to share their knowledge to help make you better, inside and out. No matter what happens, STICK TO THE PLAN, and stick to it HERE. Not that you need that advice; go see for yourself, you'll never want to use anyone else.

I highly recommend Atlas Wellness! The staff and both Dr. Rice and Dr. Adamou are highly professional and go above and beyond for their patients. I have been a patient for over 6 years. Last year I herniated my cervical spine and was in extreme pain, Dr. Rice knew right away that something was wrong and the pain I was experiencing was not my usual pain. He helped me get an immediate appointment for an MRI after I went to ER and they discharged me without an MRI. Dr. Rice and his staff were instrumental in my recovery and helping me avoid surgery. Dr. Rice also helped me through all 3 of my pregnancies when I was suffering from a dislocated SI joint.

I love going to Dr. Rices' office, the staff is very welcoming and the service is GREAT!! I am always nervous when it comes to needing adjustments but I can always count on Dr. Rice to help make me feel comfortable and better!

I was involved in a bicycle accident, got hit by a pick up truck and went to see Dr. Rice who was prompt to help me not only with a full body check up with Xrays but with a good sense of my body mechanics on handling the impact of the accident . I went to Atlas Wellness Center after serious car accident to get help with my neck and back pain. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rice and Atlas Wellness Center. First of all everyone there is extremely kind and friendly. The atmosphere in the office is respectful and welcoming. I was treated by Dr. Rice for over 6 months and never did I have negative experience. Dr. Rice is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything to you before starting any treatment. No pushing for unnecessary treatments in this office. He also has extensive knowledge of injuries caused by auto accidents. I received suburb treatment in this office and would not look anywhere else. Now over year later after my accident I am grateful and healthy.

Absolutely amazing staff and treatment. Some places you walk in and immediately know you are with a group of good, empathetic, and knowledgeable people. Dr. Rice and his staff were simply amazing on every level.
I tore my bicep and after having gone to the ER and after paying a $250 copay, I was told to take two aspirin and call a specialist in the morning. Then I went to see Dr. Rice, who spent time evaluating the injury, assured me of my full recovery, and immediately started treating me with cold laser therapy. My road to recovery had begun just hours after the initial injury! He was careful not to exacerbate the injury, took time explaining to me what was going on with my body and left me feeling so confident in my ability to fully recover.
The only problem I have with them is that I can't leave more than 5 stars. These guys were 5+ for sure! Cannot recommend them enough.

I wasn t necessarily seeking out chiropractic help, but sitting at a desk, staring at a computer, crunching numbers and on a keyboard all day, I m glad that a friend suggested. I haven t seen a chiropractor in years. After a thorough physical examination by Dr. Rice, including x-rays, he immediately noticed my neck, posture, concentration of tense areas, popped ribs and that my legs weren t aligned and all of which were either the result of my current habits and practices or past ailments. He also provided an explanation of how things we consume can either positively and/or adversely affect our physiology and a detailed yet simple guide as to how things are and how they should be for me specifically. After being adjusted neck to toe and some light muscular detail, I felt the difference. He also offered some valuable short term fixes if I seize up during the day until my next visit. Overall, a truly great visit...from reception to treatment, the entire staff is very friendly and professional. Had a very through consultation via FaceTime telemedicine and identified some muscular imbalances I was having with Dr. Rice. He was awesome listening to my explanations of lowerback muscle related pain and provided a great proffesional assessment with recommendations on the spot. I am fascinated with how perfect of an experience this was. First of all, I ve never seen such genuinely nice people. Dr. Rice called me by my first name once I walked through the door and it was my first time meeting him.
I learned more in 30 minutes about my spinal cord, posture, and nerves than I could have doing anything else. Dr Rice explains things very clearly and straight to the point so you know exactly what you need to do. He asks all about your life and quickly has an answer to what all your needs are! I felt absolutely amazing after Dr Rice made some adjustments, like holy cow, I feel less tension immediately after!!

Dr. Rice at Atlas Wellness Center is a wonderful & caring doctor. We go there as I have two girls who are in competitive cheer and other sports & their bodies tend to get out of alignment - it s par for the course in any sport. Dr. Rice takes special time with our family to educate not only about getting regular adjustments but eating healthy and taking walks at the beach to de-stress, etc. But he s totally low pressure when it comes to how often we must come, and understands our busy schedules and squeezes us in for appointments. About ten years ago, my mother recommended I go with her to the Atlas Wellness Center cause I was having really bad migraines and lower back pain. I was skeptical with the practice without any knowledge of it like most everyone I know but anything is worth a shot. Let me tell you, this place is nothing short of amazing. Doctor K and Doctor Rice might be the best doctors I ve ever encountered. Every time I walked in there it felt like I was treated like family. After my all my scheduled appointments and sessions, I can proudly say the back pain was gone and so were my migraines. I have not had a migraine since before I started going to the Atlas Wellness Center. They truly are an amazing crew and they changed my life for the better. Thanks Atlas!!!!

Dr Rice is my main Doctor, but I have also been helped by Dr Adamou. They are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel better, not only by doing their adjustments (they are great at this too), but they listen and address any questions and concerns you may have. They are both very patient and they really care about their patients. They always make sure that you leave the place feeling like you have been taken care of.

I used to run 50 miles per week and I started suffering from back and knee problems. I would stop, then feel better and after a couple days back, I had to stop again. I thought my running days were behind me. However, I started seeing Dr Rice. I was back in a few days and the pain has been gone since then. It's not only the fact that it went away, but that he was able to keep it away.

I also started swimming and, after some time, I started having shoulder issues. But this time, I knew what to do. I went with Dr Rice and was back in the pool very quickly. And again, the pain stayed away.

I have also received massages there. I have tried all of the massage therapists there and I cannot pick a favorite, because they were all amazing. They are very professional. It was incredibly relaxing and helpful and in a very comfortable environment.

Something else I love about this place is that I have learned a lot of uses for these adjustments. I always thought it was more related to bone/muscle pain, but it helps with other health related issues too. For instance, Dr Rice made an adjustment to my 3 year old baby boy to help him with his jaundice. His levels starting going down at a much faster rate than they were and he was fine in a couple of days. He has helped when the kids have a cold and some other stuff that I would have never thought could be fixed/relieved by a chiropractor. My wife has also have great experiences with them. There's been a bunch of times that we are not sure why something hurts or if it is something they can help with. The answer, so far, has always been yes.

All the staff I have met is very friendly and they have been adding more services, such as pilates and acupuncture. I would like to try those soon. I have interacted with several employees at this place and not once I have been disappointed, so I am sure they are very selective when it comes to providing you nothing but great service in any area.

Every single person that is involved with Atlas is fantastic. Dealing with other Drs for a variety of other medical issue, I have found that sometimes you have a good DR but not good staff...or vice versa...
