Gear box went on car good place to park up and wait for recovery

Abysmal service left me in Birmingham city centre for 2.5 hours whilst the AA patrol took an hours lunch break

So we joined thinking this is the backbone of the UKs motoring breakdown service!!! What a mistake! We lost power on the M25 and we re able to park up just off the hard shoulder on a small pull in that the police use. Called for help and 1.5 hours late we had a recovery truck come to transport us to a safe location. Ok, so we DROVE to south mimes services with the recovery truck following us with his lights on. Great, safe and sound and now able to get some water so we can boil the kettle as we are towing the caravan! 3 hours later another recovery truck shows up and asks, where are we going. I asked, well home but no one has been to even look at the car yet! Oh, let me make a phone call.... sorry but an engineer is on route to see you! Ok. Thanks. 45 minutes later an engineer arrives. Hello I ve come to look at your vehicle..... oh one minute please, ,,,,,,, oh sorry, I ve just been really directed to that vehicle over there with the small baby on board( that arrived 3 minutes ago). Another engineer will be here shortly. 10 minutes later the next engineer arrives. Hello sir, would you start the engine. Sure, not a problem. Turbos blown sir. Really!!! Yep, no doubt about it!!! I will arrange for you to be transported!!! Ok, so how long do you think that will take? Well we are extremely busy so it could be up to 6 hours! That s gonna be 12 hours babes, what shall we do? Let s ring a qualified engineer. So this is what happened!!! Did he plug in a diagnostic? No! He said he knows it s the turbo! It s not, If you don t want to wait just drive home in Limp mode and watch out for any thing that s going a bit quick behind you! 2.5 hours later we get home! AA apologies for the lack of help and say they will look into the issue, but it may take up to 8 weeks. Still nothing from them. Disgusting service, disgusting service. Steer clear of this cowboy outfit that only know how to jump lead a battery or transport a vehicle. 5th emergency service my ar_ _.

Rang at 7:00am arrived at 8:05am to my works van that was stuck in 1st gear with the gear stick completely limp, i was expecting a tow to the local garage for a expensive repair but he had it fixed in 30min.

I enjoy working here. Just a bit far from the city so owning a car is almost indispensable. Food is not good, but microwaves for own food and a Asda near to buy your own

Advertised jobs for a vacancy and clearly stating that no experience needed is necessary but then receive a letter declining employment due to lack of experience

Just amazing just like the TV ads. Broke down in Helston Cornwall and used the app on my phone. About 5 mins later the AA van pulled up behind us and within minutes we were on our way home. The technician Nathan was brilliant. Amazing speed and fantastic service. Thanks so much the AA

This company looks after it's employees very good particularly throughout covid-19, with disabilities etc..
