Hotel itself is nice but the prices of food and drinks are ridiculous. 11euro for a beer when just outside the hotel in a much nicer bar you pay 3. I think it's insulting to ask for such huge amounts of money for such things.

Our experience of The Intercontinental Athenaeum Athens has been first rate from reservation, to advanced call and concern to meet our needs and in throughout our stay. The downstairs guest services has been constantly pleasant and service oriented. We cannot say enough positive about the staff at the Club Intercontinental on the 8th floor has been universally warm, competent, friendly, and provided one of the most positive memorable experiences we had in Athens. Our suite, was everything we could have asked for and more. As researchers and writers, we were very demanding and we experienced nothing but cheerful support. Mrs. Angeliki Vassilakopoulou provided icing on the cake for us as we talked to her about our group staying at the Intercontinental in anticipation of our return to Athens this fall with a group on spiritual pilgrimage.
Gym is very basic. No where to lift weights besides in the way of other machines. Stayed here 3 nights and they couldn't give me a room with a queen size bed. Ended up having 2 single beds. But why thought?

Hotel staff make this a great hotel. They try to be helpful, are really nice and respectful. Rooms are good, although nothing super phenomenal. Breakfast is a bit tricky -- if it's not included, it's really expensive (32 euros per day I think). The location is so-so -- decently close walk to restaurants and acropolis, although a bit uncomfortable along (and crossing) the highway.

Lovely hotel with a breathtaking view of the city, located just off Filopappou and surrounded by a temple and a museum. Ancient Agora Museum is only 1.2 km away.

The hotel is only 15 minutes' walk from Petralona Railway train station but also provides a free shuttle to Syntagma station, basically the old town.
Limited wine selection in the roof bar, disapointing finger food selection, no flexibility outside the menu.
Facility is clean and seems to be good place. When you are in front of the hotel you can see the small Parthenon temple and it is also within walking distance of the Parthenon. It takes about 30 minutes on foot.
If you are over 6'....shower is almost unusable. I'm 6'3", my head almost hits the ceiling. The tub is so skinny and arched you can barely stand in it. I have to shower one foot in front of the other because my foot is longer than the flat part of the tub side to side. Other than that, normal hotel of this caliber besides the attitude when we popped a breaker trying to use electronic devices. To be fair, we are dumb Americans that have never left the states before....obviously. No choice but to be rude

I stayed two nights at this hotel for a corporate meeting. The stay was pleasant, comfortable room (without a panoramic view, unfortunately!) And luxurious environment. Great breakfast. The conference room is equally comfortable. I also had time to reach Syntagma square, as well as to visit the fascinating site of the Acropolis. Experience to be repeated!
Lovely upscale hotel with large elegant rooms. Has 3 restaurantswith prices from $$$ - $$$$. Offers free shuttle from Syntagma Square, about 15 - 20 minutes away.
We were only at the hotel for the New Year's event, of course we found that the hotel's premises are worthy of the five stars that it rightfully owns and would like to come back for some of my stay while trying out the benefits.
However, I would like to point out that the organization of the New Year was judged to be a failure, since coordination was unacceptable both in the wait in a narrow corridor and in the distribution of people in the room.
I understand that the organization might not be responsible for the management of the hotel, but such scenes cause defamation both by the event's attendants and by the hotel's clients who face these scenes.
It would be good for the hotel staff to spend more time in the future to make the events better.

Luxury hotel for international meetings. Nice place with great services.
Room was very nice. Large comfortable bed, nice amenities. Very dark with the curtains drawn, and quiet. TV channels a little limited but we didn't visit to watch TV. Our view wasn't looking to the Acropolis unfortunately. Room Service was accurate and speedy. Hotel concierge and staff very accommodating.

Friendly staff, fast WiFi and big rooms are a winner. The pool is really small given the size of the hotel. Hotel is well maintained but feels old and is quite a bit out of the way along a busy freeway intersection.
