Ashford Pediatrics Review

I absoloutely love this office! Especially the front staff the girls are always super nice and helpful :) sandra at the front desk always goes above and beyond to help me and my child. The doctor's are all very knowledgeable and accommodating as well as the nurses. Do not let these bad reviews fool you it was probably just a frustrated parent that did not get their way. I recommend this office to everyone :)

I called to ask a question about how to schedule an appointment. I was immediately interrupted by the receptionist and told that "we cannot see new patients on Saturday". As this was not the intent of my call, I am attempted again to speak. Again, I was interrupted. "You need to call back on during the week. Thank you bye". This was it.

I was very interested in seeing this practice, however due to the gatekeeper, I guess I will not.

We love this office! We have been taking our 1 year old son here since birth and could not have chosen a better doctor and more caring staff. Dr. Eddie Valenzuela is extremely thorough and has kept our little boy happy and healthy. He has also referred us to a couple of physicians who hold up his high standard. We have seen a couple of other physicians there as well, when Dr. Eddie was off, and they continue and coordinated care exceptionally well. We have never been disappointed, and are always treated with compassionate care from the moment we walk in the door to the moment we leave.

I have been taking my first, second and now third child to TCP ashford since 2015. Dr. Cavazos is an amazing dr, very informative and answers all of my questions or concerns regarding my children. I ve had no problem at all scheduling sick appts when my children have gotten sick. The wait time isn t long, longest I ve waited was about 10 minutes. Once they take you to the exam room, the MA comes in within about 3- 5 minutes tops and gets what is needed from the child and than the Dr usually comes in right after. The MA always lets us know when they are behind on patients and apologies for the inconvenience and I really appreciate being informed. The facility itself, is very organized and clean. You have the examination rooms on one side of the building and the lab on the other which also has its own wait area. Highly recommend TCP ashford!

As a parent you can manage to plan for well-being appointments and immunization schedules, but it is impossible to plan or predict when a child will fall sick. You would expect your child's clinic or pediatrician to be helpful in such situations but that has repeatedly not been the case for me at Texas Children's Pediatrics Ashford. At multiple occasions my children have been denied medical attention for different reasons, too many occasions to list here. They never call back when you leave a message to ask a question. Multiple times I couldn't see a doctor when my children needed it. And one time I was turned back and not allowed to see the doctor due to an obvious error with the insurance provider that could have easily been corrected if the employees were a bit helpful. So if all you're looking for is a clinic to manage routine well-checks and immunization schedules this place barely does this job, but if your child falls sick then good luck trying to get any medical attention or even compassion from them. It is unfortunate that at this clinic they forgot that your child's well-being is a priority and all they care about is your insurance provider and you showing up on time for your appointment. All I'm hoping for while writing this review is to find another pediatrician as soon as possible as I never want my children to go there again.

I love love this place! Customer service is always on point . Friendly And caring staff and I love how the doctors educate you and really show empathy on your child and take there time with all your questions and concerns. Appointments are so flexible and have always been able to squeeze a quick visit in when needed. Place is always clean and tidy. There is no other place I d rather go . Robin Rocks ! We love her she is the BEST!!

I have been going to this pediatrician for many years and went here myself when I was little. I have never had a problem with them until recently when at a checkup I told them my children would not be getting their scheduled vaccines. they actually told me I would need to find a different provider due to my choices and opinions on the vaccinations. They are going to lose quite a few patients with this new policy. These Dr.'s need to quit following the mainstream views and start doing their own deep research on vaccines. The vaccine companies need a wake up call and need to stop putting profits ahead of children's well beings. Until the vaccine companies stop having a conflict of interest and only care about lining their pocket books, I will never feel like I can trust them.

Dr .Sheida Asgari, MD gets a five star rating she's super sweet with my toddler and she always shows compassion , we have seen 3 doctors at this office and we're not very happy they didn't really take the time to exam my baby and ask me questions. I highly recommend seeing Sheida Asgari, MD she's amazing and really takes pride in her practice!

Now the staff answering the phones are a different rating , there more like Walmart customer service, so if your looking for a super outgoing bubbly staff don't expect it from them.

The one lady that sits in the front right side that checks you in and out is always friendly and helpful

My children have been going here for years... I thought Dr Romina was very sweet until yesterday when my 4yo and 3mo had well child check ups scheduled... the office manager called and informed me the dr wouldn't see my children anymore because I wanted delayed vaccination for my infant due to him being very sick last month. She was extremely rude, condescending, and not understanding of my choice at all. She said "too bad, other parents don't want your children here". Also, the office has become dirty and smells of urine, always. Just fyi... Dr Bray has no bedside manner and doesn't even smile. Dr Eddie is pretty good, but all they ever say is "it's a virus" and send your child home. Needless to say, I found a greatly reviewed provider yesterday and none of my 4 will ever visit this place again. My child's health should be important than the kick backs these doctors get for vaccinations. I do not recommend.

My children have been patients here for the past 16 years. My kids love Drs. Harry, Ben, and Rachel!

The doctors and staff are always helpful and awesome with my daughter! Love that they are open on Saturdays too.

Very professional and organized. They have a good routine and they try their best to attend you quickly. Highly recommend this place especially with newborns they are very careful!

Run away! I d also like to give this office zero stars. My experience with the front office staff was terrible. I don t usually take the time to write reviews, but felt compelled to help another parent. There are wonderful pediatricians all over this city with great front office staff. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

The staff at the front are super rude. I have been coming to Dr. Romina for over 10 years and I will say that the quality of customer service has changed drastically. I miss the lovely ladies that used to sit in the front, they were super nice and respectful, and always had a smile on their face, but the ladies they have as receptionist now I can't stand, especially Rose or maybe her name is Rosa; can we say rude and disrespectful!! I had to take my complaints to the corporate office and they were not all that helpful either. The office manager is rude also. Oh and don't get me started on Andrea, hot mess! I love the doctor but I can't stand the staff. I am looking for a new doctor because I don't want to catch a charge behind whooping one of their assess!

I m so impressed with this clinic! Every visit I have had with my daughter has been such a pleasant experience! The staff is always so friendly, helpful and very efficient. They have several doctors and every single one of them are phenomenal! We use Dr. Romina she always puts my mind at ease when I have concerns with my daughter. She is very knowledgeable and personable! I put my full trust in the quality of care I receive for my child here!

Great pediatrician and great staff.

We have been seeing Dr. Bray since we moved to Houston in 2016. She has been excellent with both our children. We have always been able to get an appointment when needed in an emergency, and have always been able to get a convenient appointment for the checkups. We have had to meet with Dr. Elvis for last minute appointments and were impressed with him as well.

Office is slightly dated, but you will not find a better staff and overall experience.

I m Asian and I m not good at English as well. But I love all staffs and Dr here. Very nice and they always patient to listen what I want. Explaining carefully for what I need to know. I love them all and say THANK YOU SO MUCH. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Great staff, very attentive. They are flexible with scheduling appointments. Overall a comfortable atmosphere and great experience!

I love this office, every time I call to make an appointment they always accommodate me for a same day appointment. Receptionist are really nice and are always willing to help. The nurses and doctors are also great. I love the fact that we can just wait in the exam rooms instead of waiting in the waiting area where germs can easily spread, sometimes they have delays but what great doctors office doesn't. Over all I love this office! Keep it up!

I m not that kind of person that like to talk about my personal busness but, All I have to say is that Dr Valenzuela had a bad attitude and was being very rude to me today and i don't think that's the right way to talk to a mother that all she wants is the best for her kids. I definitely would look for another doctor!!!

It's my first time coming here. The staff is very respectful,patient and have good customer service skills. I will recommend people here. One of my family member's recommended me here and i like there attitude.

We lived in the townhomes across the street when our kids were born. We moved out west to the burbs and tried a new more convenient place. That didn't last long, and now we still make the trip back to Ashford for annual checkups and anything else that comes up.

Been here multiple times for checkups and never encountered a problem. Nice staff and good facilities.

If this office wants to keep their patients they need to get new front office people. Very rude ,with no knowledge of patient plan of care. Sad because the Doctors are very good.

All I can say is WOW!!! The staff here is hands down the most friendly and accomodating. I recently moved and was looking for a closer Texas children's pediatrics clinic. I decided to give this one a try and what a pleasant surprise. I called and made an appointment not sure of what to expect, the representative helped me schedule an appointment to fit my needs. I'm happy, my kids are happy all is well thank you TCP Ashford!!!

We have a 3 year old who isn't talking and Dr. Elvis referred us for speech therapy. The speech therapist initially said it isn't covered by insurance. We have been coordinating with UHC for this and they informed us that this was caused only because the doctor put in a wrong code and that we were eligible for it. We have been stuck in limbo trying to coordinate and get this done for the past couple of months and didn't receive any help from the doctor's office for the queries. Totally unprofessional. Dr is also inexperienced, won't recommend to anyone.

My 3 children have been seen by Dr. Rosenthal and Dr. Sabella from the time when they were new born babies to now almost 10 years. I moved to Spring and still commute to Houston for all doctor s visit. They have excellent staff, from attendants to all nurses and treat your children as if it were their own. To any parent out there looking for a pediatrician, rest assured that you will find both great comfort and treatment for your children at this location.

I love the doctors but the rude MA made me so upset! As my toddler burned in 103 fever the MA rushed into our room rudely asking "why we still remained in the room?!" With her head bobbing. Well 1st of all the doctor had not informed us she was done with our appt. & second having an ill child is no easy task! I hope Miss Jennifer grows into customer service skills!

Dr.Eddie is awesome..Hes been my kids doctor since my oldest was about 3 she is almost 9.My other two also see Dr.Eddie.They all love him he's really good at explaining things.Nurse Iris is great as well:)

Wish I could give this place no stars. My children have been coming here for over two years. I would admit there are somethings I chose to ignore attitude and facial expressions I have received in the past for the health of kids. Shoot my kids seen an urgent care doctor more than what they have ever been scheduled at this facility. I truely love Dr. Eddie and appreciate him correctly diagnosing my two kids out of three when no one else could. He will be extremely missed. I have talked to the manager in regards to this and it's like you are be counseled as she speaks to tell you how this is why our bad customer service is acceptable. I refuse to have anything more to do with this office. Like I said my kids have been seen more by an urgent doctor than their pcp due to the fact of how lazy the staff is. I've worked in patient care and understanding the truthful meaning to helping a sick patient in need and will always put patient care first regardless if that meant staying late and not being inconsiderate. Unfortunately this office will charge you a $25 walk-in fee aka a inconvenience fee, tell you Saturday's are for only sick appointments and make you feel like ummm yeah that's why I called but unfortunately you have to call Saturday to get scheduled and hope they are in good spirits to put you in. Just completely done with this place. Trust me the pattern will slowly unfold to what I have experienced. Thanks for your inconsideration and time.

The wait time is ridiculous. There is no point making appointment. It's just horrible

This office is not well kept, it smells, and seem to be losing clients. The staff is not educated on their duties and they often can't answer questions without being extremely defensive. In addition, this location has different standards than Texas Children's(much lower)...this is basically a medicade/medicare clinic that gives immunizations receiving lots of funding from the federal government. You are not their main concern.
This explains why they behave they way they do. I would recommend that all parents do their research before going here. I give 1 star and I plan to let other parents know to run away from this place. There are many other options and with much more qualified staff. People work hard for their money and insurance and should not have to come to a place of business and be treated poorly. Don't be fooled by the name attached'Texas Children's, you will be highly disappointed. After all this is your child health!

Dr Eddie is fabulous! He is truly the best Pediatrician we have ever seen. He is knowledgeable, fantastic with babies and toddlers (ages of our children) and easy to talk with. The office staff has always been pleasant and we have seldom waited more than 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend!

I took my granddaughter in to the doctor. Receptionist were very nice and respectful. Once in the room wait time was not long at all to see the pediatrician. His manners were excellent and immediately scheduled CoVId testing. I highly recommend TCH Pediatric at Dairy Ashford.

Has been wrongly diagnosed 3 times by two doctors. Cannot understand why a simple check never be performed here. You just need to use a regular mirror to check and find the fungi. However you kept saying that it was normal. I went to two other places, both were professional, did the check, found the problem, help solve the problem.

I have been coming to Dr. Asgari for over 1 1/2 years now and she is knowledgeable and fantastic with babies.

The pediatrician was knowledgeable and staff was accommodating but my beef with this office is that every doctor forces you to immunization your child on THEIR terms and on their schedule or, find another doctor. I won't allow any doctor to pressure me to vaccinate MY kids with extra vaccines I am uncomfortable with, or to give them too many at once. I've been down that road before and it is unsafe for my kids but these doctors don't carewhat's safe and what's not so long as you're on their schedule. I wanted to vaccinate my child with full immunizations but the doctor would not allow me to pace them out comfortably and safely. MY CHILD, MY COMFORT LEVEL, MY CHOICE. No doctor will tell me what choices I have to make with my kids. Their safety is number one and I know having five vaccinations at one time is not safe no matter what they want to try to convince me of. They even gave me a large booklet with horror stories of parents who didn't vaccinate their children, to make me feel guilty but I'm not buying into their ridiculous scare tactics. They forget that I am paying them and they are of service to me. Not the other way around! They also have a very confusing set-up for their hallways and rooms and they don't walk you to where you need to go. I went once and that was enough for me. I've since chosen another doctor who fully relates and doesn't try to bully me around with my own children.

The receptionist rudely told me that my daughter could no longer come to the office because She had a no show when in fact the receptionist told me new patients could not be seen on Saturday but still scheduled a Saturday appointment without my knowledge. I have 2 other children that are current patients but not after today.

I feel very upset because lately that clinic and a very bad service do not notify you of appointments the women in front are very heavy they do not explain anything to you they do not want to see the Children even though they are sick now I had an appointment for a dozen of the flu vaccine And until I was in the room, they told me that the vaccine had been finished, and that they varied my bb to a pharmacy and they gave him the vaccine, and it seemed so silly to send a baby to a pharmacy with his pediatrician. I've had very bad experiences lately

Don't go to this place. This is not a good place to take your kids.
We went for my son's when he was sick. They gave him some medicine which didn't work.
They took blood samples and they didn't find any thing that time.
we visited after 4 days since he was not feeling better, then they said it will take more then a week to get better. they took blood again and no results.
after a week he got allergic to the medication we went again for that. they have no answer for that.
then they took blood again for test. after 2 weeks they called and told they got results we should visit them when my son was getting better.
Find a good hospital and move from this place.

Dr. Eddie is the best! My two grandchildren have been his patients for the last 4 years, as well my teenage son. Nurse Iris is awesome too! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews, this really is a great place for your children's medical care. I have 3 children, 2 are adults now but never did they have a pediatrician this awesome.

I have been coming to this clinic 9 years and never had an issue.
Today I was trying to take my 18 month old and 7 year old for a sick visit since I get off work early and on their app I saw they have a 4:15 available so I scheduled it, called the office to let them know it would be both my kids coming in and they told me I couldn t bring both of them at that time that I would have to come earlier I explained I couldn t. All they did was offer to cancel my appointment.
Never thought about switch because Dr. Romina is so great with my kids and the nurses too, but it s a little disappointing that because of their front desk we will need to find a new clinic.

I've taken my daughter to this place since she was born. The staff are very friendly, patient and attentive to my concerns. My daughter has always had excess of earwax and despite the crying and how uncomfortable she feels throughout the procedure of extracting it out. The nurses and doctors always do their best to patiently calm her, and sucessfully remove the build up out of her ears. She always leaves with a smile on her face before we go home. I've noticed that they always follow up to make sure my daughter is better after calling after hours. I love this place! Thank you all for all that you do!

Texas Children s Pediatrics bought this practice from the Rosenthal pediatricians over 20 years ago - it was the first practice they bought in Houston! That being said, you get to experience the very best in pediatrics with the highest standards of care for your child. All of the doctors are extremely knowledgeable and the manager - Lily is efficient, professional, and very caring. The nurses and the front desk customer service are great! Thank you TCP - Dairy Ashford!!!!!

Everything you need all in one stop. Very friendly and knowledgeble staff. I have a 6yr old and a 3yr old and we have been coming here for 4 yrs. They do xrays and lab work all in the same building. They are fast and I can honestly say I love their doctors. They are always able to work us in for those appointments that can't wait too.

All of my children have been patients at Ashford Pediatrics over the last 15 years. We have seen most of the doctors and have loved every one of them. We have never been rushed through a visit. We rarely have to wait long to be taken back to an exam room or wait for the doctor. They have a very efficient in-house lab. All of the nurses are fantastic. There has been some turnover in office staff in the last 2 or 3 years, but I've never had problems with any of them. Even after we moved 20 miles away, we still drive down to TCP Ashford to see our wonderful doctors.

What is the point of having this clinic if they won't answer the phone?! We just sat on hold for an hour and no one picked up at all. I called separately on my phone while my wife was on hold and the phone switched to "our office is closed" ten minutes early. I can understand an office being busy, but an hour on hold?! When you are worried about your child (even if it isn't an emergency), you want assurance from your doctor that your child's health matters. That is not what we received tonight.

If this is read by whomever decides to let people stay on hold indefinitely - shame on you. If this is read by quality assurance, get on top of this situation and get the right people in the job.

Texas Children s hospital is a joke! They rarely allow you to make same day appointments so God forbid your child getting randomly sick. They will charge a fee if you come in as a walk-in patient. I ve noticed the receptionist at the desk being rude to several parents and talking about them with her coworkers when parents walk out the door. She called one guy stupid for asking questions about his billing.

Doctor Valenzuela is a very good doctor and we have been with him for years. Too bad we are going to have to change locations since the staff they have are very rude, mainly Maria Prado, it seems to me that it was his name, I could not see it well because The identification brings her upside down. This is the second time she is rude to me and did nothing to help us check my son who was feeling very bad and had a high fever because we did not have an appointment. We practically ran away from the place. If you don't like your job or are lazy, don't go to work, people, we are not to blame for your frustrations or bitterness.

Great service and great staff. Always fit us in when it's a emergency and I love the Dr.

Dr. Doesn't seem serious about baby conditions in questions..everything just fine. Not advice anything much. Make me not so confident with this dr. Also this store has no baby product sample for patients at all.

The doctors and staff here are wonderful. They've treated both my healthy son and chronically ill daughter for many years. I am grateful to Dr. Eddie and everyone for all they do.

Dr. Rachel is so kind, and always willing to explain things we don't understand. For frist time parents she is awesome.

My daughter and son have been going to see Dr.Harry for 6 years.. I love this place the staff is always friendly and very patient with the kids they are always helpful with whatever questions I have... always get my appointment when I need them .. Honestly recommend this place compared to other doctors I had seen before.

Nice, clean well kept clinic/office. I've had an instant or two were I called last minute or late in the day but I was always able to see a doctor the next morning. My kids usually see Dr. Bray but I personally like Dr. Sheida Asgari. She has more patience with my kids, she's friendly, nice doesn't seem bothered when I ask a ton of questions and I overall get a good positive vibes from her. All the doctors are nice I just have a preference towards her. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. The staff has always been polite and helpful.

I love the staff and doctor's here i appreciate everything they do been bringing my kids here the past 8 yrs never had a aproblem with them.

Doctors are very good indeed; knowledgeable, friendly, diligent. Lab onsite is a great plus and nurses are sweet and caring. Location is convenient, with easy access to I-10, plenty of parking and close to Walgreen's pharmacy on Memorial. However, front staff is unfriendly and does not care. Scheduling appointment is a pain. They keep asking same insurance questions regardless of no changes to info, and do not care if you are in rush, what problem your kid has; just do not care.

I love TCH Dairy Ashford!!! I have seen many of the doctors here and they are all exceptional! Dr. Romina diagnosed my daughter s uti and had antibiotics called in by the time I left - she was very sweet and put me at ease! Dr. Eddie is really awesome- he created a cradle cap shampoo that you can get on amazon (Dr. eddie s Happy Cappy) which took away my daughter s scaling and flakes in less than a week. This is a great group of doctors - very organized practice!
