If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in a few weeks ago and got approved by a lender but decided to wait to figure out what mattress of the 3 we were looking at we wanted to buy. We returned on Sunday to purchase our mattress and were told that they switched lenders and everything would be taken care of Monday so that we would have our mattress by Saturday. On Monday we heard nothing. Tuesday evening we called the store to get an update and were told that a form needed to be filled out for the new vendor and he did not have this said form he should have it Wednesday and he would call us. Wednesday evening WE called up to the store that was closed. We then came to this location (14 and van dyke) to see if they were able to assist us. They told us my boyfriend would need to come the following day to fill the form out. On Thursday he went and filled out the form and was told once they get the ok he will have to come to the store AGAIN to sign a contract. He would get the answer thursdayor Friday they would give us a call but we would have our bed Saturday. It's now Friday. I received no phone call and had to AGAIN reach out to them for the store manager to tell me we are probably not getting our bed Saturday. I will now be taking my money elsewhere and suggest you do as well. To have a company be so ill prepared for a vendors change is absolutely mine boggling to me and EXTREMELY unprofessional

Dealing with the sales rep was excellent and enjoyable after far as receiving the project products that I purchase was a nightmare nobody could find the remote for the bed that I bought um they send a service God here that had no idea how to program it they didn't send any instructions they lost the original remote and is kind of disturbing because I thought that our Van being the number one French are in Michigan will be more on hand to deal with stuff than they are but I guess eventually theyll get it together

Each one of you deserve to be recognized for outstanding service, patience and overall pleasant demeanor. I absolutely love all of my furniture (5pc King Bdrm, 2nd Bdrm Dresser & Nightstand, the Producer Reclining sectional, TV stand, kitchen table and chairs), but what really made furnishing my whole house, a positively memorable experience was all of you! I will definitely return for any future purchases and recommend your store to others because of you.

I Purched a dining table from art van in warren I was told it was on order should be anytime. I called a week later and was told my salesperson should have called me its now on back order for a month. Finally get the table a month later and half if its missing the delivery men call and now tells me its on back order for at least 4 more weeks or longer! 2 to 3 months to get a table I will never shop here again or recommend it to anyone!

This has been worst experience with furniture deli...

This has been worst experience with furniture delivery we have ever encountered. Due to this we will not return to Art Van for future purchases.

Before I delve into what happened, I want to highlight the good we encountered. Our local Chesterfield location has been great! Our sales associate (Sarah) was phenomenal, Manager (Derek) was extremely apologetic and worked tirelessly to rectify any issues, and the amazing folks that field all the incoming calls have been very helpful with everything. Additionally, one of the delivery guys (Nathaniel) was extremely professional and courteous. Out of the two (3 man) delivery teams that came out to our home, Nathaniel was the only one that came to work prepared. We just had our carpet replaced a few days before delivery and he was the only one that had shoe protectors on him and ended up moving 90% of the delivery upstairs by himself.

Now, we must get the topic of our unfortunate experience. We received a delivery window of 3:15 to 6:15, that delivery window came and gone without receiving a phone call. We ended up calling the local store to inquire about our delivery status. We received our 1st call from the delivery driver at 7pm, he stated they still had 2 deliveries in front of us and that they would be arriving in an hour. That hour came and went, and we received our 2nd phone call from the delivery driver at 8pm letting us know that they still have two deliveries ahead of us and that it will be another hour before they can arrive. At 8:25 the delivery driver called us to let us know they would be at our place in 30mins, they ended up showing up at approx. 9:00. Nearly 3 hours after our delivery window. The delivery guys stated it would take them approx. 2- 3 hours to put everything together. This would take them till midnight or after. We requested that they off load the furniture that and to have someone come out the next day for assembly. When it came time to move the furniture into the house my wife requested that they please use their shoe covers that our local store told us they would wear upon request to protect our new carpets. This is when the gentleman who appeared to oversee the delivery crew stated, "I don't have shoe covers, no one put that in the invoice, so I didn't bring any." A second gentleman stated that he didn't have shoe covers either. That's when Nathaniel turned to my wife and said, "Ma'am, I have my shoe covers. I'll take the furniture upstairs for you." And this is when Nathaniel ended up carrying the majority of the delivery upstairs by himself.

The next day a different 3 man crew came out for assembly. Again, no one had shoe protectors and they ended up having to remove their shoes. Hardware for the day bed was never delivered, so instead of leaving the daybed unassembled and coming back to do it properly, they jerry rigged the bed used bolts from their spare pieces. The day bed is wobbly and unusable. Additionally, there is damage to the material on the daybed, loose fabric on the king size headboard causing a noticeable difference between both sides of the bed and lastly our massaging recliner was delivered without a remote.

We also had items that were not delivered. We purchased a bench separate from our other items and when we were called for delivery, we asked that it be put with our other items to be delivered when our special-order couches came in. When we were called to confirm delivery of our furniture, we were told that the bench wouldn't be delivered and that it is on back order till November. We didn't receive our full-size mattress either and nowhere in the phone conversation were we told that one of our mattresses were on backorder. So, we had to call Art Van again when the mattresses was not delivered with the rest of the items.

An honest review... my wife and I recently purchased a new home and needed furniture, first priority being living room and master bedroom set. We visited Value City (terrible experience), Gardner White (wonderful staff and nice selection), and Art Van (Good and bad as you will read). We were just looking our first go around comparing furniture, deals and prices.

Our first trip to Art Van proved to be well worth it as it looked like we would be able to get both rooms done with one company, a bonus as we decided to finance to leave more money free for renovations. During our first visit, our salesman was listless and not good at all. While we took him to the bedroom sets we were debating between, he described each one of having such unique features such as good storage, very nice, good quality. Really? Thanks for letting us know the dressers have drawers to store clothing in...Ive worked in this field, worked on sales commission, and fully understand what these sales people deal with. Tough hours, pressure to close and high temptation to sacrifice integrity for larger paychecks. This gentleman quickly turned to fast paced talking, high pressure and sales tactics to close the deal as soon as he received push back that we weren t exactly sold on the deal in general. We obviously left without a purchase that day, but with the intentions of returning kid free when we decided to purchase.

Memorial Day - we return to the store, as through online shopping Art Van, my wife found a few options for our bedroom set she liked. We were greeted by Sam (I liked this guy from the start), who proceeded to give us our space when we said we were wanting to just take a look around. I would normally ask for the previous salesman who helped us in these situations, but he didnt deserve the return customer after our first visit. Sam proceeded to inform of us ACTUAL unique features of the furniture we were interested, bestowed knowledge on each piece, and answered the majority of our inquiries well. After discussing price, financing terms, promos and the like, we were sold. This process took all of 30 minutes. (Grammy was babysitting so we could escape for an hour to do this during a family BBQ.)

This is where things start taking a turn. To get this order placed in the computer took about 20 minutes, not that bad I guess. The Sam retrieved me for the credit application, which took about another 10 minutes... should Ben at our home stretch now. However, this would not be the case. Sam had to get manager approval 8 separate times for various reasons. He struggled processing the order on their 1992 version of a DOS based system. After getting approved for financing at 2:34, this next portion took 1 hour and 3 minutes...altogether after making our choice, a total of an hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours, trying to pay.

Here s the list of issues the went on.
Offered originally, 18 months interest free financing. This changed however, to 12 months after being approved.
Offered a free tv which showed up on the cpu as a 250 dollar charge, however on printed invoice no prices are shown for any of the furniture. Maybe they don t want you to see the breakdown?
Manager came to assist front desk and Sam when they were unable to figure out how to apply my financing and we threatened to walk away with no deal. He showed up, gave them a quick instruction, and quickly excitedly. Not sure if it were even a manager.
Stain protect to the tune of $150 for three items added to invoice, we never discussed this at any point during either visit.
Free TV is actually a voucher for Best Buy, you receive via email after delivery is received.
After financing credit was applied to purchase, we were told we had to 25% cash for special order deposit. $420...
We had to listen to other salesmen bickering to a manager in the middle of the aisle about who said customer belonged to... I greeted them when they walked in! Well I asked if they had any questions! Seriously!? You re grown adults, act professional...

Salesman treated us well and was professional. We were able to find a product that we could afford and that we liked. We were able to come back the next day to pick it up. All in all a good place to get furniture.

While the experience was easy I will offer a more thorough review if the furniture comes in correctly and on time. UPDATE- DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM ART VAN! We ordered a La Z Boy sectional and still had issues. They would not fix the problem and I'm positive they lied to is multiple times. Even telling me I'm a liar because I repeated the lies. Redecorating a room should be a good experience not frustrating to the point that you don't even want to be in the room. Art Van Tainted the room by providing a horrible experience. They need to review what they are doing to make things so bad.

The bed set I picked was a floor model, and we were not told until the very end of our experience that they could not ship it. They ended up agreeing to this, but somewhere between the floor and transferring it to the warehouse, it was badly damaged. The man I dealt with for choosing a replacement set told me that floor models make about 5 different stops before they reach their end destination and I would not have chose that set with this knowledge. We were not warned this when we purchased it. According to the delivery men, it was so badly damaged that they did not want to deliver it. In order to convince them, they were LIED TO and told that we accepted this condition because we got a deal of $600 (the set was actually $2200!). It is really upsetting to me how deceitful and misleading art van was during this whole process, especially lying to the delivery men.

Art Van delivered to the neighbor across the street from me. In pulling up, driver broke off a 6 foot branch and other smaller branches and left them laying in street and on grass by curb. They unwrapped whatever they delivered and left packing and plastic laying all over. Called Art Van twice. Left messages for them to come back and clean up their mess. No surprise, No one ever called back or returned to clean it up. Way to go Art Van. Nice way to represent your business!

I wish I could rate them no stars. Delivery was horrible and unprofessional. My entire order was damaged. My delivery time Sept, 22nd was 2:30 - 5:30 pm. They showed up at 6:50 pm furniture missing cords. Noone knew how to set it up. My furniture wasr ripped, cut, and seams coming loose. I was late for event with child.. Art Van furniture has gone down and don't thinks I will continue doing business with them ever. Strongly, recommend going to another company behind this experience. My daughter suprise on a new bedroom set total disaster.

I recently moved and used Art Van to decorate my house and tht entire experience was just amazing..We went to the one on 14 mile and Van Dyke and AJ assisted us with all the purchase. He's very knowledgeable and should be the only go to guy there..Surprisingly even the delivery drivers were very pleasant!

Terrible overall. Salespeople will bend over backwards to get into your wallet but the customer service flatlines when your money exits your wallet. I spent over 10k in furniture with this company to only get the wrong leather, a broken top replaced with a different color top, and the quality of the product is supposed to be high end.... if that's high end I dont want to even begin to think what low end would be considered. After all the problems my salespeople suggested putting accent pillows to offset the incorrect leather... AYFKM?!? oh and to shut me up they offered me a 300.00 refund lol. Never again will I even think about spending any money with this company.

I ordered a bed frame and mattress from Art Van and it was to be delivered. The initial delivery did not have the correct parts and it took four deliveries/stops by the crew over two days to finally get it right. This was incredibly frustrating and time consuming (and left me without a bed for a few days); however, everyone I interacted with with very kind and helpful. It was none of their individual faults (just poor communication in general). I was pleased with everyone I met and spoke to and Dean, a manager at Art Van, did everything he could to be helpful and make it up to me. So while the process was frustrating, I'm happy with my purchases and happy with the people who work there.

For the most part very happy with purchase. Winston our salesperson was AWESOME! He's at Sterling Heights, MI store. Ask for him you won't be disappointed. But delivery was messed up and the person who called to let us know they'd be there in 45 minutes was very rude and we were the ones inconvenienced since they didn't load all of our order with the 1st delivery. That's my only complaint otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Tracy Vinson and Tom, were excellent in their personable service to us.
They went above and beyond, and so much compassion in these two employees towards me with my cervical injuries. No pressure, no impatience. They wanted to meet my needs in our selections. Very informative, and treated us special with hospitality during their service.
Hats off to these two winners. They make a great team.
Thank you again. Now lets see how delivery goes. Thinking positive.

We were very pleased with the service, knowledge, and information we received from Denice Williams to purchase our new mattress.
She was able to schedule our delivery for the next day.
The installers arrived at the time that was scheduled.
They were friendly, fast, very thorough and helpful. They did extra to help me complete the installation, something that I would have had to do after they left.

Please stay away from this company. The furniture is J U N K the customer service is horrible. Spent over $1500 for a bed for my 15-year-old daughter the rails snapped in half. It was a nightmare getting it replaced. Once replaced the rails snapped again. Please do not waste your time or money

I got it in the 6 weeks I was told. (on his birthday) and It arrived in perfect shape, exactly what I ordered and now my husband has a comfortable classy leather recliner

Winston is a wizard! He is an absolute master at his craft!!! He knows was he is doing & his customer service is second to none. He cares about is customer and it shines through with is dedication, hard work and meticulous attention to detail. He goes over and beyond to get his customers what they need. I've never met anybody like him and we are so glad we did!

Not pushy, gave great recommendations and we looked at merchandise for a future purchase I will be making soon. Delivery called to let me know they would be over soon and the two gentlemen were friendly. A great experience from start to delivery.

Love our Lazy-Boy furniture! However, Art Van's processes for picking up furniture is archaic and needs to be refined. We had to go inside to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to pick up a slip in order to go drive back and pick up furniture. After we got our furniture, we drove to the check out booth where there was a sign that said 'I'll be back in 10-15 minutes'. Since the gate wasn't automatic for departures, we had to sit at the booth and wait for about 11 minutes.

terrible experience , my sales person Jiliana Faraj was very rude, she left me standing by myself a few times and waited on someone else while I was waiting patiently for a price quote. When she finally came to talk to me she was trying to sell me stuff I did not ask for nor did I need. I asked multiple times for a price and what discounts or specials they were running and I never got a straight answer and gave me an attitude. She was more concerned with other customers . Very poor customer service. I am never stepping my foot in that location again , I will be getting my furniture elsewhere.

One star is way to many stars for this place. We thought we would give them a second chance only because we had some gift certificates that they gave us to compensate our very poor experience we received about a year ago. We needed some kitchen chairs and some of their higher end chairs appealed to us. The sales person said they were made by the Amish and this company sold exclusively to Art Van only. The chairs were a lot more money than anything else they had but knowing the quality the Amish produce we were Fine with than. During the order process the sales person quoted us on a warranty from a book he looked up in but when he put it in the computer the price was more. He just then looked a the front of the book and said sorry this book is from 2017. Do you still want warranty a higher price. Come on people, we are 6 months into 2018, get rid of your outdated resources.

The real problem started when we got home and looked up Gascho, the manufacturer. The owner is not Amish but states he learned from the Amish. The even on Gascho website they list fifteen different distributors. Not so exclusive to Art Van!! We looked at a different distributor that was listed on the Gascho websites and found the same chairs we purchased at a bit cheaper price but that was not such a big deal. We actually found a different design on that website that we liked better. The back of chair was a little different but price and everything else was the same.

After many days of calling Art Van to try to get a hold of our sales person to ask if we can order the other chairs instead we got an answer. This process actually took 5 days to get an answer ant then he tells us it would be an extra $50 per chair. We were very surprised to find out that these chairs would be more money especially since other stores online sell both chairs at the same price. We tried to point this out to him and also pointed out that Gascho is not Amish but rather Amish thought and inspired!! Also pointed out the Art Van is clearly the only distributor. Even though we pointed out all this stiff he was not able to give us the different style of chair at the same price!! So after many wasted hours we just canceled the order as no amount of gift certificates are worth being lied to.

Our sales rep Wintson was great! He introduced himself, made of note of names and gave us space and time to look around without feeling pressure. He was very personable, answered all of our question and provided insight on specific products when needed. This may have been one of the easiest furniture buying experiences we've ever encountered! My mom's furniture was delivered on Wed., 3/20/19 and she can't wait to go back to purchase a dining room set. As a soon to be homeowner myself, I'll definitely be paying a visit to Winston in the upcoming months.

Absolute idiots. Can't set up a delivery to save their life. While the shopping experience is OK, they seem to go out of their way to mess up delivery times, set ups, etc. No one appears in charge, they will tell you anything to make you happy, then do the exact opposite.

I was able to select the one I wanted to take a look at, went to the store and made my purchase after seeing it in person. It was fast, easy and great service. In and out of store in approx. 30 minutes..

Entire experience was great. One small detail: table part came damaged. Called service control center while delivery guys were here. Issue resolved.
Delivery was a struggle for guys. The tried their best but was successful in the end.
