We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. Lots of variety!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. Lots of variety!
This place has a great little pantry to grab various items, prepared food to cook at home, house made sorbet/ ice cream etc....but you can also call in and order off a menu for some delicious food......love everything I have eaten here and always friendly and helpful folks when you visit. The Lemon Vanilla sorbet is the bomb!!!
Love Art of the Table, great dining experience. Really enjoyed the new location! Great service, great food!
Tasting menu was so much fun and really great food. Id recommended it for a special evening if you're looking to do something a bit different.
Ate here during a "supper club night". This was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had the pleasure to enjoy. Dustin and crew really did an excellent job of creating a personal dinner party atmosphere. The food was fabulous with the gumbo and almond crusted trout as the first and second plates absolutely stealing the show. The next two plates were delicious but suffered by comparison. I left wanting a huge bowl of gumbo to take home. They all spent time chatting with us before we left and were eager to share their passion for food with us. Sadly, being in Seattle we can't try this place ecery other week. I would certainly do that if possible. However, this place is worth a plane ticket just to fly in for the experience here and there.
Everything was delicious. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary.
Poor Customer Service, not very good food, not worth the price tag. Our night started off bad when we arrived four minutes before our reservation, the staff was surprised we had reservations, that they later found, and had us wait on the sidewalk outside, there were no customers inside so it's not like they were full. We ordered three small dishes a piece, over an hour passed while everyone at our table ate two of their three dishes, before I was served my first dish. No one was happy with their food, some things were just plain bad, others were tolerable. We all agreed nothing we ate was good. The music was super loud, eventually we asked them to turn it down, I think they turned it down slightly, it was kind of terrible. If this place wants to charge these prices, they really need to step it up with better staff and better dishes.
Their tasting menu is extremely well done and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great northwest dining experience. Just be prepared for a long meal.
It is not just a meal - it is an experience!! The seven course tasting menu is one of the best meals I have ever had. The waitstaff is knowledgable and friendly. We thought it was really great that they give you a little dish to keep your silverware on. What a waste to give you clean silverware for each course. We will eat there again .for sure!
Expensive place and microscopic portions. The food is okay'ish. Seems like an experimental laboratory for the chef to try out new cuisines and styles. Won't visit again :/
Impeccable service, well thought out pairings and creative and delicious dishes. Best experienced through the chef's tasting menu. A great place for an intimate celebration.
Chef's table experience. Had 7-course meal with wine pairings. Pairings added tremendously to the meal. Food was very good. Server added to our experience. Smooth and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, with tax and tip, this meal came out to $700 for two. At this price point, I expect a LOT more. For chef's table experience, I recommend Altura over Art of the Table.
Pacific-Northwest-focused food in a fun, fairly casual environment. The counter, separately bookable, let's you watch the staging and is recommended.
Did the chef's tasting and it was amazing. Everything was tasty and nothing disappointed.
Great take out family meal. They said it feeds 3-4 and we had no problem feeding 4 with 2 salads. There were leftovers too. The salads were big enough to share. The beet salad was my favorite part of the meal.
Not crowded at all and we'll set up for minimal contact pick up.
An amazing meal and wonderful experience. Each and every dish of the tasting menu was perfectly prepared and presented. Portions were perfect as well. Even though we hadn't notified them when we made it reservation (like we probably should have), they were accommodating to us wanting to avoid having any beef.
2nd time here at this wonderful dining experience. The food and service has been consistently creative and presented a range of flavors expertly paired with the wine we were served. The 7 course tasting menu prepared by Chef/Owner Dustin and his team on both occasions reflected the season. While we were served by all of the staff at some point, we were especially lucky to experience James' (our server) knowledge of the wine were tasting as well as his humor/wit.
Well composed dishes with novel flavors. Yet I recommend you eat before and perhaps after you enjoy this restaurant.
Not worth the money. Every dish was over complicated. Just whole punch of stuff stacked up together but they didnt go along. Maybe the chef is trying too hard.
Awesome place! What a great deal for a 7 course chef tasting menu ($125). You can never find a good deal like that in California. We also shared a wine tasting ($75). The food was excellent. It s actually more than 7 when you count on the amuse Bouche, plate cleanser and extras. We love all the dishes. The oysters, mushroom, soup, foie gras, cauliflower, ceviche, salmon, brisket, carrot dessert... yum. There were protein in every bite. Definitely not stingy. Service was excellent. Love the wine pairing. Didn t know sherry went well with foie gras! Definitely come back and eat more.
This place was absolutely perfect. The food, atmosphere, service, this place had it all. We opted for the a la carte menu and tried several dishes. Every single one was superb. However, the main course was the highlight. The halibut and gnocchi were very tasty. This place is among the best food I've had in Seattle.
The food was unexceptional for the price, and the service was relatively passive and underwhelming.
By the time my girlfriend and I left, we were both somewhat exhausted and miserable. I wouldn't recommend this compared to some of Seattle's other premiere restaurants.
Delicious food, wonderful staff, and excellent distancing protocols!
Food mostly was good, with a few dishes rather strong on flavor than others. Presentation was ok, service was great. Limited vegetarian options.
In a city that has lost nearly all it's fine dining restaurants, Art of the Table stands above the remaining few. Located just north of Lake Union, it's in a new space and focuses on a tasting menu. The lead waiter has worked with several of our best chefs and knows how to serve a customer, a true rarity in Seattle. The course selection is mid-April is typified by these photos from the night. My friend and I brought our own wines and they had a reasonable corkage fee for the option, which both of us appreciated. Not only was the food excellent and perfectly prepared, it wasn't over salted, a common problem in salty Seattle. Next time you want a great meal, severed like you were in Chicago or New York give this a try.
One of the best spots of its kind in the area. It has a nice feel to it. They have so many reviews for a reason.
Artfully prepared food from local ingredients along with creative and pleasing combinations. Service is attentive and non-obtrusive. Highly recommended for fine dining. Every dining experience I have had here has been memorable.
Well worth the price. Excellent service and amazing food.
$185 per person to have your waitress read off the menu as she's explaining the dish and serve you a dish you're allergic to 5 minutes after you tell her your allergies. Yay.
Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. The staff was very sociable and kind. Bring your appetite because portions are generous.
Amazing, perfectly balanced, interesting, delicious food. Pricey as hell. Laid back. You can wear jeans! Expect $500 for two people with tasting menu and wine pairing. Other places, like Canlis, feature pamper-me service. AotT has it's focus firmly on the food, and on the right wine to go with it.
The new space is beautiful and inviting. I felt comfortable from the moment I entered the restaurant. It is well designed, warm and matches Chef D's elevated but unpretentious style. The food, of course, was exquisitely crafted and the service was impeccable. Shout out to Bartender Mitch for his crafted cocktails and mocktails. We were all taken very good care of and we left fat and happy!!
We ordered the 3-4 persons meal. All dishes were amazing! I will say the portion is more for 3 adults (we are 2 adults and 2 toddlers). Order a side dish or two (check their side menu) if there are 4 hungry adults. Highly recommended!!!
In the typical PNW self entitle snobbery, I expected mediocrity and end ended with nothing less. Guys, there s a reason Michelin doesn t come here, and I m blaming you.
My group of 7 had a great experience dinning here. The dress code is casual (they let me in with a t-shirt and shorts) but everyone else was dressed nicely as if they were on a nice date (button down with a jeans, or in a dress). We choose to do the 7 course prix fix meal and it did not disappoint! We did not choose to do the wine pairing, but their regular drink list is at a decent size for you to find something you may like.
The food was delicious, great portions where I was not over stuffed after 7 courses (plus 3 amuse-bouche, 1 bread/butter, and 1 pallet cleanser).
I loved their foir gras with fresh strawberries and jam. It tasted like a creamy pb+j. The next dish that left me in awe was the black cod, it was very creamy and flaky. It would literally melt in your mouth! The third dish that I have to talk about is the beef dish. It was the most aromatic dish of the night. The broth reminds me of a pho/Chinese beef noodle soup. It came with a side of homemade chili sauce (warning it is spicy for non spice eaters) that was the best compliment and I wish I could take a jar home!!!
The service was great at the restaurant, they were able to accommodate our big party with no problems, and called over help when needed. It was a great experience overall and I highly recommend this restaurant if you can get the reservations during a trip to Seattle or just a local trying to find a nice comfortable place to dine.
Very well designed restaurant. The food is delicious - one of the better restaurants in the Seattle area. It is pretty pricey for what you get.
I need to try the tasting menu.
I recently visited their new location and say at the bar/kitchen counter which lead me to see the good prep. I enjoyed this flare. The food offers experimental flavors and a filling set course that is fun to try. I'll be back at usual, thanks
Great place for fixed menu dining. Prices were fair, servers are paid livable wages, and the food was top notch.
The food was very delicate and carefully prepared. However, portions are small and I left still hungry. But it was a very cozy place.
Offers tasting menus of very small courses and matching wine pairings. The restaurant is small and can be booked out completely for events. There used to be a share table where lots of people sat together for their meals. I guess that wasn't popular so the tables are now separated.
The vibe of the place has become more hipster and pretentious over time. Other clientele were quite pretentious. Once commented that one of the drinks we had tasted like port. On hearing us, there were rude comments on how wrong we were and that it was clearly not port. Whatever.
Huge respect for AOTT. How to transform a business during these sad depressing times into something exciting! We picked up a family meal tonight, and it was phenomenal and such a great value. We just loved being in the tiny new storefront, and we picked up many pre-made items (some cooked, some raw) for future meals. We've been cooking almost every meal since March 2020, so this was such a welcomed treat. Since it's such a value, we plan to do it regularly from now on, until we can visit in person.
The art work is about the presentation of your food. Very beautifully presented.
Very high quality components are used.
The combination of beauty, quality, taste
and service earns the Art of the Table a
5 star.
This place is one of the best in Seattle. It's fine dining at it's best. Fresh, creative, flavorful, and delicious. You will want to capture with your phone, taste buds, and memories every dish that is brought out in front of you. And I promise at least a few you will be reluctant to dig in to and ruin the beauty in front of you only to want seconds the moment you try it. One of my favorite places all around.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. We got the chefs dinner with wine pairing and I can honestly tell you that this was one of the greatest meals either of us have ever eaten. From atmosphere, to the service, presentation and flavor, excellent job by the entire team!
Fantastic experience. Fine dining, incredible ingredients, but without the pretentiousness that usually comes with it. Best dinner in Seattle.
Wow! The service here is unmatched. Truly attentive and knowledgeable. They offer a tasting menu as well as a la carte options at the bar. Food it top notch and the drinks are extremely good. Don't hesitate to ask questions. If you like rum, Mitch (the beverage director and barman) is your new best friend. Lots stocked here and he makes a mean daquiri.
Just phenomenal... Absolutely phenomenal n very artistic n professionally plated. Service was also top notch
This is a true culinary experience. Plan a long, relaxing date at Art of the Table.
You can choose between 3-course, 5-course and chef s tasting menu (it s just requested that all in the party order the same size meal, to help with timing). You also have the option to add wine pairings for each course.
Through the reservation system you can request vegetarian options or any dietary restrictions. They were great handling our pescatarian and nut-allergy requests. Note that the reservation system does require a credit card.
It is a pricey evening- but I can t think of a better way to celebrate something special. The flavors are new, fresh, and unique. Definitely a night to remember.
One of our favorite places to do a multi course meal. The food is always amazing.
Cocktails are great - 5/5
Small Plates Taste wise are amazing - 5/5
Small Plates Quantity wise - 2/5, theres a reason they're called small plates, you dont get entrees or huge bites to fill up your appetite here
Food Pricing - 2/5, mean to say pretty pricey for the quantity offered
Ambience - 4/5
Staff and Service - 5/5
Food spectacularly prepared & presented. Service so good, it's of the chart (#10 stars)

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Seattle! Shannon and Dustin have a very open and inviting vibe, the entire menu is spectacular and the cocktails are divine!
Truly amazing food, a brilliant tasting menu, and wonderful staff. Michelin doesn't give stars to Seattle restaurants. If they did, AotT would bag a few.
Do be warned. This doesn't come cheap. An unforgettable evening will end with an unforgettable bill.
Art of the Table is my favorite local restaurant / high end food store. Their family style takeout meals are ever changing and somehow ever-better than the last. Their Art of the Cupboard store carries the most interesting and delicious ice cream flavors I've ever seen (Blackberry + Sherry, for example) among stellar pantry staples, and local small batch beers. The owners and employees are kind and proud of the food they serve. They should be proud, because it's truly an art.
Every plate was exceptional! Loved the gnocchi with beef ragu!! Simply wonderful.
This place felt ostentatious (the decor is casual, but the vibe), and the food (at least the vegetarian food I had) was not great. It was attractively plated, but it didn t taste great. The beet carpaccio tasted like prepared mustard. The flavor overwhelmed everything, so I couldn t even taste the beets. Last beet carpaccio I had (besides my own) was in Paris and it was incredible. I like to actually taste the vegetables. Very disappointed here.
Beautiful restaurant with high standards of detail and execution by the staff. Three tasting menus available - 3 courses defined at 75, 5 courses defined at 105, and chef's menu at $125 per person. We sat at the chef's table where an open kitchen allowed us insight to the level of care in cooking and plating the dishes. More romantic intimate ambience available at tables around the rest of the restaurant.
The chef's revealed an extensive knowledge of pickling and preserving vegetables, and working in tangy flavors to balance out very minimal but rich meats, foie gras, or cod. We started out with an amuse bouche that was a cod parfait (with the most amazing texture) shaped like a block above a spoonful bed of pickled greens, an oyster with a pear puree, and a house made prosciutto with shaved truffle. The next course was a surprisingly complex celery root bisque (vegan) paired perfectly with nettle pesto and some oil drizzled. We had a seared albacore tuna with a beautiful flavorful rub on a beet miso puree. A foie gras on top of brioche (a little too rich for my taste but enjoyed with assortment of accompaniments including cocoa nib, sunchoke puree, blueberry, blackberry.) Pan-seared cod (crispy skin) in a dashi broth with mushrooms and pickled radishes.
The highlight was honestly the main course that was an 11 day old barbeque brisket minimally dressed but started with 5 days marinating with house made rub, followed by 24 hour smoker, 12 hour braising and more days incubating. The effort here was extensive but not at all ostentatious, paired with such delicate finesse- executed with such grace.
We then ended with 3 sweeter/dessert dishes highlights of which were a pallete cleanser made from Rachel's ginger beer, a bayleaf ice cream, and olive oil cake.
Unfortunately, we did not feel like pairing with alcohol but the beverage director seemed to be doing some sommelier work, we'd be interested in trying next time. Cocktail list had some very unique recipes that looked impressive as well.
Overall there is a level of grace with which Art of Table executes it's menu and dinner experience. We are so happy with our experience we will definitely be back.

Went here for Valentine s Day and everything was exceptional.
Art of the Table provided a succulent satiating tasting menu with well paired wines. The staff exhibited a friendly joy while showing their passion for service and sustainable sustenance. Flavors and textures of taste along with design and color all while staying local and in season. Amazing gift to Seattlites.
Loved this place. Perfect for a celebration. We tried the chef's tasting menu and it was the perfect blend of local fresh produce cooked to perfection.
Great dining experience and atmosphere! Definitely reccomend this place!
Still the best food in Wallingford after the move. Exquisite and worth every penny.
Delightful service, exceptional alcohol choices, insightful wait staff and captivating food. The tasting menu is surprisingly varied. My only complaint is most dishes were heavily salted, even for someone who enjoys salt. Overall, the food was wonderfully plated and bursting with freshness. The upgrade for caviar is completely worth the money and highly recommended.
Outstanding tasting menu experience, exceptional service
Beautiful space and delicious food! The chefs' creativity and heart is evident.
Overall, I found my experience to be lackluster. Several dishes landed flat and had almost no flavor. The service was warm but seemed like they were reading from an informational card.
All 10 dishes and all I remember was the 1oz soup and a good piece of fish.
Art of the Table... what a bland, overpriced table it is.
Every course was perfectly cooked and tastefully crafted. Great wait staff and a wonderful experience overall. Worth the experience. Highly recommend for special occasions !
Overpriced and Underpresented.
The food was interesting and there were some great pieces, but I have to say this is the most overpriced meal I've ever had. I don't mind spending money on a great meal, but I would go to other 5 star restaurants 3 times for the price of this place.
The veggie pave, the wagu beef, and the smoked fish dishes were great.
The beet ricotta near the end was terrible, truffles shouldn't be shaved on a dish (they taste like regular mushrooms that way, for a $50 upcharge), some of the dishes were replicas of other courses with one change, other things didn't go together in any way. I can understand eclectic dining, this just didn't feel on purpose at times
They gave us complimentary dessert pieces at the end for my husbands bday, I took one bite of each and left the rest. How do you screw up a truffle??
The wine paring was not worth it, the wines didn't seem to change with the food or vice versa, which is kind of the point of a wine pairing
The service was terrible. Not any kind of restaurant terrible, she was kind and prompt, but at a place like this I expect more. She didn't seem to have the courses memorized or be able to answer any of our questions about wine or food.
I admit, we went on a Thursday night for my husband's bday, so probably not 1st string serving staff, but that shouldn't matter as much in a place like this
I would go up to the bar maybe some night, but won't go back for the courses
Food was pretty good and some interesting/unique/fun dishes, but not worth the price tag yet. The service felt very artificial. I sat at the counter believing i would see a lot more action, but it's not exactly an open kitchen concept like you'd imagine. It was pretty comfy, but it's more of an open prep station. Perhaps I misread this on their website. As for the wait staff, the service was good but they were trying to be friendly and it all felt a bit stiff or inauthentic. There needs to be a better balance of a more relaxed/casual interaction while still being attentive, approachable, and knowledgeable. I feel the restaurant is almost there, but just needs some finishing touches and perhaps a lower price tag while they work some things out.
the food was great! Would love to visit again and again...
Delicious food and excellent presentation. Great for special occasions.
When we have foody friends come over this is one of the places we take them no matter what. It's very small and intimate with a lot of food options. The tasting menu is always a good choice. The service spaces and times the food very well and are very knowledge of the food they serve.
Normally a special occasion place due to the price of meals, covid has them doing great take home deals.
One of the best restaurants in Seattle. Very expensive, but well worth the cost for an unforgettable culinary experience
Really great food, and cocktails, the seven course meal is a lot. And just watching other people drinking the wine pairing was quite entertaining. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Sitting at the bar with two or three people was a great way to enjoy the meal. Our 7-course meal took about 2 and 1/2 hours.
My favorite restaurant in the city bar none! Chef Dustin is a master with Northwest ingredients and the tasting menu never disappoints!
