Pretty old hotel. It needs reform. But it is clean and with ample parking area.
I am forced to go down to a single star. The breakfast is the most crappy that can be given. The stale and sparse food. The limited letter and also do not have part of the products. 30 minutes before finishing the hour of this one, already without yogurt and they do not replace it, a resigned waiter tells us.

I came here with my two friends, the staff were so welcoming right from the start.

We enjoyed sitting at the bar and enjoyed the food.

Later in the evening we sat and enjoyed some entertainment which was great.

We have a lovely room with loch view, which was beautiful. I would say the only negative point was the bathroom could be doing with being painted, other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Pretty appalling hotel. TV broken, room lights didn t work, shower couldn t run hot water, plug sockets didn t work, breakfast fruit selection was literally a plate of prunes.

Only thing going for it really was the location! View was stunning. Also the entertainer was hilarious! Though in a very Brent manner. Wonderfully cringe. Would t recommend this hotel.

Not bad for the price, location is brilliant if touring some of Argyle and Bute is your focus breakfast isn't the best, and can be busy with the coach parties, best to eat down the road at the village overall a comfortable stay though .

Great views and great prices! Looses a star though as rooms are a little tired and breakfast was a disaster as the lady taking the order didn't speak clear English and brought the wrong food and it them took 40 mins to get put right after speaking with 2 other people! This was however put right eventually and the fella who finally sorted it was very apologetic.

To be honest I was dubious about going here reading other reviews. However it was fantastic we were give a loch view room which had been recently painted, had double glazing, other bits and pieces changed and the room looked good. Yes the furniture was not modern but it was good quality. The bed was comfy and the room was warm,( new radiators in room too). The hotel itself looked like it had had a face lift throughout.
The staff were all good and friendly.
I had a lovely dinner from the set menu and was very happy with the food.
Look forward to returning soon.

Horrible experience. They say they are handicap accessible, but the flights of stairs leading to the main entrance and from the lifts to the rooms would say otherwise. Terrible food service: they don't list allergen information on their menu and the chef refused to remake a meal for one of our party after he found tomatoes on the burger (which he's allergic to). The rooms were dirty with cobwebs and dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling, and mold in the shower which dripped all night. Definitely won't be coming back here again.

Okay, the price is very cheap and therefore you should not set the expectations too high. Nevertheless, they have managed to undercut them in every area: rooms, equipment, staff, cleanliness, etc.
This cow is only milked until it collapses. If then the tour busses stay away one day, hopefully the lights go out well deserved.

A bit noisy and the floors crack. I think the guests above us have polar bears walking around their room all day. Nevertheless, the service from the hotel was very good. A wide choice of breakfast and the next day prepared a packed lunch because we had to leave before breakfast started!

Spent a night here with my wife. Booked a superior room at the front, great views of the loch. Only black Mark on the room was a damp stain at the window- as I am in the damp and rot business, I think I will leave my card as this will turn out to be a problem. Note to hotel- email me and I will give you a good price!
Good choice for evening meal. Steak was as requested and plenty chips and some salad. Staff were on the ball, could have slowed down a little and given you longer between courses.
Clean room, (See above) linen etc.
Entertainment on the Saturday was a Buddy Holly tribute, few hic- cups at the start with equipment which went full volume and bar staff got such a fright that glasses were dropped, that was entertaining!
In summary, good hotel for a stop of, clean, friendly staff. Would book again.

Stayed here (August 2020)- rooms were clean but a bit tired and dated. Lovely location. Good breakfast.
Staff and guest were compliant with COVID guidelines (good distancing, lots of alcohol gel point, wearing of masks)

While the room I used had a lovely view of the Loch, the lock on the door didnt work. I was only staying one night so it didnt bother me but i wouldnt want to leave my stuff in there if i went out for the day.

Breakfast was lovely, but the staff were hovering around seemingly quite bored. It's not a 5 star resort by any means; you get what you pay for. Despite the quirks, its very well priced if you're stopping for the night passing through, as I was.

This is quite a historic hotel, situated right on the Loch. Plenty of parking and the room I was in was fine, with nice views out over the loch and mountains. The staff were also ok. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment but if/when this is completed it will be a really great place to stay and explore the surroundings.

We stayed there for 2 nights over Easter. We had made a booking for 2 adults + 1 child and were given a twin room

+ points:
The staff is very friendly and welcoming at the reception and the restaurant
Prices were reasonable given the time of year and how busy it was
The location is stunning
It seemed quiet enough that we weren't disturbed by the Saturday night entertainment at the bar

- points:
2 single beds to sleep 3 people is cutting it short. Luckily our little one likes to sleep in makeshift beds
The rooms are kinda rickety, the style is very 1970s, the door locks are pretty wobbly and the floor boards quite creaky.

We're likely to go back simply because it is quite convenient overall.

Really thin walls (and other guests are noisy). There is nothing to do in the town of arrochar, and the place caters mainly to tour buses. The staff were not helpful (or existant). I would not recommend this place.

Old and outdated. We had a broken bed and heater. When we raised the issues. They said they will sort it out the next day. We were only there for one night. Thus I did not sleep. The bed was hurting my back and it was so cold because the heater was not working. They didn't even apologized.
I hope things has changed.
Great location. Below average breakfast.

Excellent location for climbing the cobbler, food was excellent and drink reasonable, room spacious with an excellent view overlooking the loch. Hotel in general looks tired but is fine for a few nights away.

Rooms not as seen on website. Wensite shows bright clean rooms, beds dressed with green. Room was grubby, brown, windows filthy. Back of bathroom door was badly scratched which looked like dog scratches. Floorboards baldly creaked. Website says free toiletries ? Hand wash on wall only. Television rarely worked due to lack of signal. We were booked as a coach party and were treated like second class. At breakfast, we waited literally one hour for cooked breakfast, which finally arrived cold. We sat and watched "private' guests served immediately. Manager was often unavailable. Once witnessed walking past guests queuing at reception and the bar which were not manned, manager walked past and left the building. The other staff presumably hungarian, provided eccellent service when approached.
