Slightly dated decor and uncomfortable bed, with a lot of noise from people walking about above. The entertainment was fantastic with a great cabaret act.

Fabulous views. Incredibly kind and friendly service. The lobby restaurant area serves simple, tasty and inexpensive food. The hotel restaurant is a bit dated and could use a refurbishment, but that doesn't diminish the scenery outside.
Good value, fantastic view ( book Loch Side), staff very friendly and helpful, break was very good. No issues and worth the money. Highly recommended and a budget hotel.
We have been visiting The Articular Hotel for several years now and have never been disappointed. It is a friendly hotel with marvellous staff and a scenic position on the shores of Loch Long.If you are prepared to pay the supplement fora loch side room it is well worth the extra. Most of the rooms are spacious with a good en suite but some of the cheaper rooms need to be extended to make them comfortable. As I have not stayed in one of those for some time so maybe they have been altered now.
The food is presented well with portions far too big for me and breakfast is very good.
A big thankyou to the staff who are pleasant, helpful and very hardworking
Superb location on loch long
Great food .......good bar
Amazing scenery
Staff attentive ,helpful ,friendly .
Room with view of loch
Hotel very good value but needs some tlc...
Would go there again.
A bit past it's best, definitely needs updating.
It's in a great location.
Fairly basic and dated, squeaky floorboards etc. Had to prop the window shut with a table as the handle was broken. It was however comfortable enough, and had everything we needed, reasonably decent breakfast, for a relatively cheap price in a fantastic location. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.
Not a very warm welcome at reception, dining room staff were very nice.
Had a lovely stay , room dated but very clean, nice breakfast but small portion, loch view room was stunning.
Staff nice. Would defo recommend value for money.
Polite, friendly, helpful staff. Views are stunning. All local amenities are within a 5min walk. Rooms are well appointed and ideal for a break for a few days.
Breakfast was good.
Everything needs updating but pleasant staff and food was better than of late
Stopped in for a coffee. Lovely views and friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere
A friendly quiet hotel on the shores of Loch long. Good food and comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. A great base for exploring the magnificent Argyle forest.
We spent 2 nights with 4 (2 parents + 2 adolescents). Twin room was OK, double room smelled musty.
During the 2nd night, we were woken up twice (in the middle of the night and in the early morning) by a noise sounding like a machine from within the hotel (probably from the laundry). The receptionist did not care about our complaint.
It's a shame for this poor service and (some of) the customer unfriendly staff, because the hotel is nicely located.
Exceent service on booking in..facilities, bar and restaurant superb...especially in such a beautiful location
Food was good, price was good, had two rooms, one was far better than the other. Staff seem incapable of understanding simple requests.
Location and surrounding area is breathtaking. Our room was a bit dated, little finishing touches, unfinished, staff were lovely. Breakfast very disappointing.
I would give zero stars to this hotel if it wasn't the receptionist who was so helpful and friendly.
They have live music on Saturday evening so if you need to sleep early you can't, the music reaches your room like you are on the dancing floor.
The walls are too thin, I woke up twice during my sleep because there was an annoying couple next door making noises till 2 am.
I wanted to call the receptionist but the phone wasn't working.
However, the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The guy with the suit working in the restaurant wasn't nice to us, he looked fed up.
The guy at the bar on the other hand was very helpful and polite but also he looked so fed up with the place.
We will never go back there again, plenty of B&B around, just be careful.
Great service, room a bit small but overall a nice stay and great value.
Walked in for food. Rude staff and totally poor quality food. Avoid at all costs
The hotel is like a cartoon of a Southern movie! Highly in need of renovation where you look me (especially floors and bathroom). The floor has no impact sound insulation. You hear every step of every guest. The breakfast is poor. Little choice!
Old hotel but well maintained, staff are good and seem to run the place without much interference. Great views and if course a lovely setting and the chef should be complemented.
Excellent place to stay for going on hikes in the neaby Alps. Free breakfast and very accommodating service.
Recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Staff were really great, nothing too much trouble. Food in the restaurant was really good, top quality. Would certainly stay again.
Lovely view from restaurant, friendly staff. Food not so good, go for a coffee or glass of wine.
Terribly dirty. The toilet seat was yellow at the bottom . In the shower, the previous guest had glued a bunch of hair to the tiles. Apparently no cleaning had been done. Staff was fine. Breakfast was poor and little!
Fortunately it was only for 1 night.
Hotel is in need of a face lift staff aren't too friendly and would look down their noses at visitors
Lovely view from my room over the Loch, food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was good too as I couldn t get a mobile signal I used that to call home
Ok if it's somewhere to leave your bags and bed that's it
