Laid back atmosphere with more of a towny-vibe, which is awesome if you're not on your 2nd time skiing and doing wide-sweeping turns across the entire groomer. Friendly staff to tell you where to go and not go if you haven't been.

Lots of challenging terrain and some decent back country when conditions allow.

Not the biggest mountain, but it does have some of the best terrain in Colorado if you like wide open bowl skiing. A good place to avoid the worst of the commercialization that has happened at places like Vail. Plus it's one of the cheaper places. The downside is that traffic going back over Loveland pass on the way back to Denver can get pretty bad. It took me over an hour just to get to 70 on a typical weekend day.

I went skiing at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on April 20 and April 21. It snowed all day on the 21st. It was towards the end of the day when I fell at 3 pm and was severely injured. I was knocked out, and I had broken 8 ribs in 14 places and my collar bone in 4 places for a total of 18 breaks. Two ribs were in 3 pieces each. I was laying there on the slope not moving at all. An amazing lady spotted me from the lift, called the ski patrol and they literally came onto the scene and saved my life. They moved me from where I fell down to the ski patrol at the bottom of the mountain and took really amazing professional care of me until Summit County Ambulance arrived to take me to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center. I owe my life to the ski patrol pro's of Arapaho Basin Ski Area, the EMT's from Summit County and Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Surgeons at St. Anthony's. I will never be able to thank all of you enough, but here it goes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's been 5 weeks since my wreck and I'm on the mend.

Parking was a mess. Was directed to lower lot and they parked a bunch of us. Shuttle after shuttle went by to other lot with out picking us up. Find out they were picking everyone up from other lot first and then they would pick us up. If this was the case they should have directed people to park in that lot first. Waited 70 minutes to get picked up.

Nice terrain. Very good deal on ski lessons! Whenever family comes to town, we take them here. You can get a lesson and rentals for an AMAZING deal. We always come here because your family can take a half day lesson with a full day rental and ski pass all less than other places in the area. They have a nice area for easy skiing as well as more advanced areas.

Great local vibe. Excellent for intermediate skiers who want to try above the treeline slopes and with a lot of challenges. Great food. Feels like a ski area should without all the extra giant super expensive lodges at the base.

A fun, usually less crowded hill with plenty to challenge yourself. Definitely a local favorite on powder days, though it isn t easy on your skis if you aren t careful. Can t wait to get more days out here this season. I m hoping the never truly leave the ikon pass so that I can always have a few days out here. If you are just coming for a weekend, I d favor this options so that you aren t completely slammed at some place like vail.

This truly is an amazing mountain. There were some of the most breathtaking views even from the bottom of the mountain. It is a bit of a treacherous drive to get there but boy is it worth it for this gem. Very affordable and an absolutely stunning mountain and facility.

My all time favorite place for tree runs and their food is amazing. SUPER friendly staff, totally into it. Amazing runs, gets a bit crowded on the weekends but not too bad. Very nice people go there, had a major spill there 2 years ago, slammed my head on some ice (luckily I had a helmet on) and several people stopped to ask if I was alright, my brother helped me up and people brought me my skis and poles, and waited to continue their run until I was up and back in my skis. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people!!!

One of what - maybe five really solid ski areas for steep skiing in the state. After passing exit 216/205, it's a haul until you get to another area that makes this kind of commitment to their expert skiing community... Silverton, Crested Butte, Telluride, Highlands... That's really about it. Plenty of other great ski resorts - don't get me wrong, and for everything AB gets right on terrain, there are some real head scratchers elsewhere. But if you want to ski, for real, no bs, this is the spot.

Super nice staff, amazing slopes. The views are breathtaking and this is definitely a great place to start out. I'm not sure if the bigger resorts offer much more.

Would definitely recommend as it is affordable and close to the Denver area. Pick up McDonald's on the way there as food is expensive and scarce around the actual resort.

Good ski slopes of you know what you're doing. The greens are a bit steep and so not super easy, still fun to do. The blues can be kinda bumpy and icy in places. The full rental was $45 for gear and $79 for a half day pass. This is not a ski resort but rather slopes with a resturant or 2. It was crowded for the bottom lift as usual but typically the upper lifts seemed fine.

Great update to an already fun low key summer resort. The aerial adventure park is brand new, and built for fun for the entire family.

Older kids and adults will spend much more time enjoying the course, however the purple course is adequate for younger children as there are not many courses in Colorado that even have routes for kids under 7 and under 50 pounds. With that being said the kids course is priced very well at $12.00 per child. Anymore and I would have felt a little ripped off.

The adult courses are great, maybe not as creative as some of the dedicated treehouse, ropes courses in Colorado but is very adequate and 2 hours will fly with great views of the valley.

Book ahead of time as it s encouraged to ensure minimal delays. I didn t even see a spot to purchase tickets, it take a few minutes and ensures your have a spot.

Overall a fun experience for both of my kids 6 and 9; and two adults.

The staff was very nice & it's awesome that this place is open into May/June when the other resorts like Copper closed way too early this season. There's just not many bump runs here to get a good workout in. They also close the 2 seater chairlift at the base, that does have some ok bumps on some of the runs, before 4 for some reason.

Great affordable local ski area with good options for both beginners and more advanced skiers. I love the bar- good prices, friendly people, and great drink specials. There is something so magical about sipping Tuaca after a day of skiing, while watching the sun set over the mountains. I only wish A-Basin stayed open a little later!

First, if you are a military veteran and have a pass, it won't work here. Outside of that, the trails are challenging and well taken care of. There aren't a whole lot of food options within walking distance but several within a ten minute drive. The staff is a mix happy-caring and disgruntled/stoned/high. The parking situation appears to be hopeless but, keep driving to the end and you will end up closer than you expected to.

The Director of Snow Sports Mr. Lloyd came out of his office to advise me directly on how to teach 2 granddaughters how to ski when no beginner terrain was open (not enough snow). Very helpful. Well managed ski area.
