It's one of the best venues to see a concert. Be aware however that there are a lot of stairs!
There is no other venue in Colorado like this for concerts! Amazing acoustics, incredibly beautiful setting. You will be climbing LOTS of stairs. Plan accordingly with shoes! Be prepared for weather. Shows are rarely cancelled for weather related issues. It absolutely might rain on you and it gets darn cold when you're wet. Layers are wise as well. It really is a not-to-be-missed experience!
Amazing architecture and museum. The concert must be unforgettable there!
The coolest place to visit. So beautiful and full of music history. I loved it.
One of the world's concert venues worth experiencing before you die. Also a yoga/fitness flash mob on Saturday mornings in the summer.
I have not been to many amphitheaters but I cannot imagine a better outdoor venue than Red Rocks. The scene is surreal. Beautiful rock formations nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
I've been to three concerts here- a reggae concert, a folk music concert, and a hip-hop concert. All 3 are in the top five concerts that I've ever attended. The atmosphere and Coloradans make the event. The acoustics are remarkable. Acoustics are 'true' and crystal clear, no echo. And you best be able to sing and play if you sing and play here. The acoustics don't lie.
Amazing venue for concerts. For so many artists, it's a bucket list venue to play, so seeing them perform at Red Rocks is an experience like no other. Combined with the beauty of the rocks themselves and the views, it's like magic. The park is also great for easy day hikes. One of my favorite spots in all of Colorado!
Great view from patio. Delicious lunch. Great service. Museum was free to wander around. Short video history venue.
Beautiful scenery, great place to do stairs if you need a good workout, awe-inspiring. Definitely worth a visit and I would love to see a concert there!
Incredible place to visit for the afternoon.. and get a little exercise.
Can't say much about this place... Absolutely beautiful!
Very cool place and what an awesome idea to build an Amphitheatre there the Acoustics are fantastic and so is the restaurant
Very beautiful atmosphere in the rocks. Beautiful museum area too. I like the stands and how they are built.
One of the world's best stages and venues for any show, concert, or event. If you never go to Red Rocks, you are missing out! If you don't even "like" the headliner, or know them, or "like" the genre of music you should still take every opportunity to go. Red Rocks makes every show unique and fun.
Do make sure whether they are any concerts on the day of visit. If there is one then, do keep in mind that the Amphitheatre will get closed for the public 3 hours prior to the concert.
We missed by few minutes and weren't able to visit the Amphitheatre.
Experiencing Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Warren G & Tha Dog Pound at Red Rocks was truly amazing, I'm glad I can cross seeing Snoop Dogg & going to a Red Rocks show off my bucket list! Highly recommend seeing any show at this location, the view was beyond beautiful.
I've never been to a better place to see any type of concert in my life. You have to go there and see for yourself. It was AMAZING.
This is my Happy place. All our visitors want to see Red Rocks and I'm happy to go back time after time. The best place for a concert, hike and sightseeing.
Michael Franti puts on such an amazing show!!! Best venue to see great music!
Great place to explore around sunset, amazing views and quiet when the crowds are low
Awesome place to see concerts! It is cool to have the live music and amazing view at the same time!
Simply stunning view. Worth checking out even if you aren't seeing a concert at the amphitheater.
Beautiful in general; but if you ever get a chance to see any concert you think you might like, it's one of those things everyone should experience at least once.
This is an unbelievable venue. The views are fantastic. I thought the sound system was also very good considering we sat at the very top. Warning it does require a lot of walking. My wife's knee was bothering her and the support personnel were very helpful and allowed us to drop her off at the handicapped area (at the very top).
Park in the high lot if you cannot handle a large number of stairs/a very steep hike up an uphill concrete portion of path. Rhe view is well worth the visit, and a staple of time spent in denver. A great place to take time to appreciate the lichens and local plant life.
Terrific blend of nature, geology and human ingenuity....
Its a great place to appreciate nature plus you can enjoy hiking and visit the red rocks museum.
Great music and acoustics. Security is sometimes a little rude, but only maybe 1 out of 10 times
Awesome not much else to say about the best concert venue in the world.
This place is outstanding! I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. We went on the short hike which seemed like a lot longer than 1.4 miles, but it was very fun and not overly difficult. I would definitely come back to this place if I am in the area again.
Beautiful place. Benches uncomfortable, splinters and such. Bathroom dirty. Veiws make up for it though. Food options good.
Absolutely stunning. We've always wanted to see the venue. Unfortunately this time of year there are not a whole lot of concerts. Loved the venue and the museum. Can't wait to come back for an actual show. It was great, though, walking around the venue and looking around the way we did. You wouldn't be able to do that during a show date. Well worth the trip!
The most overrated venue I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, any up and coming band rolling through Denver wants to open here.
This turns what would be a pretty, intimate headlining show at the Bluebird or Ogden into a overlooked, overcrowded opening one.
If you are visiting Denver, Red Rocks is a must see. The beautiful views & amazing sunrises make the long drive & several flights of stairs climb well worth it. In addition, it is a very famous place & it's just cool to see it empty!
What an incredible place. Absolutely beautiful environment, concerts that will knock your socks off (at least if Avett Bros are playing), and just an amazing experience on general. The natural acoustics are awesome and they really are a top notch venue. Super friendly people and logistically got everything worked down to an art. They get you out of the amphitheatre quickly and have the parking situation working out so you get out so quickly I'm not sure there is a bad place to park. Highly recommend if you haven't been, you get yourself here. Avett will be back next year!
What? You haven't been? Check out a film on the rocks! Or go for a real time with some Primus action!!! Life changing, whatever it is you do!
Think you're good at running stairs? Not at altitude you're not. A gorgeous venue.
The trek was amazing. I will be definitely going back
Absolutely amazing. Beyond anything I could've even imagined. Just hearing a band warning up and doing their sounds checks blew my mind. The music reverberating off the red rocks down by the road sounded as if God had opened up heaven and allowed the world to hear His music. No concert could even begin to compare to this natural amphitheater!
Breathtaking at sunset. Seeing a show here should be on everyone's bucket list. It's so unbelievable that you are literally outside and in the mountains seeing a live concert. Worth the visit even if there is no show, the rock formations are awe-inspiring and it's a wonderful view of the city!
No better place to hear music...acoustically perfect sound
Anyone that gives this place less than 5 Stars is lying to themselves!
What a wonderful magical place to visit! Loved- loved being here with family!
This is a breath taking view of the area. Not only the stage and seating area, but the geology around it is fascinating. You get a great view of the city skyline as well. It's a five star if not for the port-a-potty in the lower lot heaping over digested dinners......puke........though crowed, it was well worth the short trip out of Denver to go see.
Epic place, for anything from a concert, to some morning exercise! The views are beautiful, and if you re not already, your visit here may inspire you to get in shape!
Epic concert venue. Saw Nathaniel Ratliff and the night sweats ..
This place will close without warning and the times on the website cannot be trusted.
The hype is all hype. Was chill. The chick fil a tent at the end of the night was funny
Hell of a hike but definitely worth it! The best place to be for a concert. Very good organized, museum opened during closed hours for us to take shelter due to thunderstorms.
Great food and buzz stands!
The sitting area absolutely the best I've ever seen! You can dance without annoying the people behind you that want to sit down.
Very impressed and I'll go there anytime without blinking twice!
Red Rocks is just awesome, whether you're coming for a concert or a hike. What a unique venue. The rock formations are incredible and the views are pretty stellar. It's great that the park is free and open to visitors most of the time.
Checked off the bucket list!!! Very beautiful scenery, amazing acoustics, and Cody Jinks.. Couldn't ask for more
The place is just so cool and the view is amazing,
You can go there just to hang out, or like I noticed a lot of people doing to workout.
Best venue ever. Amazing views, great sound. No place like it.
Very cool place to visit, filled with history and fun live entertainment
By FAR, my favorite place to see a show. I live in the Detroit area & this is my go to, once a year, place to catch a show. Beautiful scenery & loads of fun.
We arrived at the theater about 6 hours before a show, and on their website the location claimed to be open until 7pm for visitors, but we were not allowed to enter the theater despite arriving at 1:40pm the night of a 7:30pm show. I understand that rules are rules, but their website was quite misleading. The attendant was also INCREDIBLY rude to us when saying we were unable to enter. The nature is beyond beautiful, but the people really ruined the experience
Wonderful park. Must see when in Colorado! Wildlife and gorgeous views.
Unfair to use words. You just have to go there, especially when it's an amazing musician like Tash Sultana.
Red Rocks, it's so well known, I'm not sure it needs a review. That being said, it's the hot spot for those wanting to work out in an iconic venue. Lots of people doing all manner of plyo and running etc. A great place for people watching too.
ALWAYS an amazing experience! We ve flown back to Colorado just to go see 2 if our favorite reggae
Bands perform here during summer 2018. If you ever have the opportunity to go.l, you should without a second thought! Such a unique and mind blowing theater.
Absolutely gorgeous! Have not experienced a concert here but I would in a heartbeat.
Ahh! Red Rocks, this an incredible venue for any music event. The view is amazing and will just take your breath away!
WuTang Show, great vibe and unique location, excellent choice venue.
Picture this, Its late at night. There is thousands of people walking up the hill to the concert tonight. You are pumped with energy because you are with your love or a great group of friends. You walk slowly up the hill and stop to look back at the lights off in the distance that is Denver. Up ahead you can just barely make out the outline of the mountains and the beauty they hold after sunset. After being checked into the concert, you grab a drink or a snack and take a seat in one of the most beautiful natural theaters known to man. The music starts. First it starts with an energetic beat to get your energy up and then the beat drops and the next thing you know, you are dancing with 1000+ of your new best friends. The music calms to a slow rhythm and you stretch your arms to the star speckled sky. You feel alive; these are the moments you live for. The DJ starts to rev up the music. The beat goes louder, louder, louder...and the next thing you know, the amphitheater erupts in a full out party. Whatever worry you came with is suddenly forgotten and all because you chose to come to one of the most magical places in the world. When you leave, the energy is high and everyone is feeling amazing. People are suddenly partying in the street; they don't want the night to end. You slunk down in the passenger seat feeling relaxed and emotional. As you are driven down the winding hill back to civilization, you rest your head on the side of the car, listening to the calm of the night and the wind in your hair. You take a deep breath of the fresh air and think to yourself what an amazing memory this will always be!
Huge. Lots of stairs and walking . Not really ideal with a stroller. May have options but none that I seen much. Beautiful sight to see.
Best place to see a concert easily. I have too many concerts to list here but out of all of them, only two places come to mind as the most memorable. One venue was at the Berlin Wall(when it existed), the other is Red Rocks. Both of these venues give you a view that you cannot see anywhere else. This is undoubtedly the best venue in the U.S. for live music.
Wonderful place. Man next to me had a medical emergency that was handled quickly and efficiently by staff and he even made it back for the end of the concert. Always a good time. Finding a ride home can be a chore if its not planned ahead of time.
There are public restrooms in the amphitheater. So if you go when there is not a show, you're set. There are a lot of stairs but the view on the way up from the parking lot is lovely.
It was great. Great for exercising and sight seeing. We enjoyed ourselves
You'll never wanna see a show anywhere else after coming to this place... so much room. Great acoustics. Tons of restrooms
Denver favorite. No need to write much. If you know you know
Beautiful venue, but very poorly laid out. If you're sitting anywhere near the middle of the amphitheater, it's 5 flights of steps either up or down to a toilet. Then you can either wait 25 minutes in line at one close to the stairs, or go up and down another 50 stairs or so to the one in the gift shop. There's an elevator, but good luck with that.
So if you want to drink beer, which is 13.50 for a 24 ouncer, or 9.50 for a small cup of draft, plan on spending your entire night going up and down stairs. I didn't even drink a beer, and what with them changing the entry line 3 times, and going to the restroom a few times, we estimated we walked up and down around 800 stairs. So if you're physically challenged at all you're not going to have a good time of it.
And if you don't like a constant cloud of weed and cigarette smoke in your face, don't go. There's no smoking inside the venue, but it's totally not enforced.
And parking, if you don't get there 2 hours before the doors open, count on a mile or two hike uphill after parking on the road, because you're not getting anywhere near the parking lots by the venue. And count on it taking 2 hours to leave if you're parked in a bad place.
If they had port-a-potties at the landing of each flight of stairs in the arena it would make the whole experience much better.
I'll be seeing my favorite bands elsewhere, this place is just not worth the hassle.
The visitors center catalogs all the acts to have played at Red Rocks. I found the memorabilia from past concerts very interesting. Access to the Amphitheatre is free on days with no concerts scheduled. Many people were exercising, walking their dogs and climbing the stairs down to the stage. We had a great time here for about 90 minutes.
It was amazing except for all the cigarette smoke. Smoking areas are on the stairs but the wind blows it everywhere. Also once it gets dark people smoke in the seating areas.
One of the best places on this planet to attend a concert, movie or event! It's truly magical!
Best. Place. Ever. to see/hear a concert! I believe it must be due to the combination of the natural amphitheater and the artists' excitement to be playing there. Wear comfortable shoes, be ready to get winded, and don't take an umbrella!!!
I am, among other things a music lover and a musician that has played hundreds of shows all across the country. This is hands down, the best outdoor music venue around. Its a magical experience seeing a show at Red Rocks. Highly recommended, regardless of the music...
I visited a couple of times and it still remains beautiful. It's a great place to visit.
Saw above and beyond this past week and had an amazing time w my daughter.
Every show here is an amazing experience. My favorite place in the world to see a show. Only con is when the weather is bad, but that's the same with every outdoor venue
This is one of those places you have to visit before you die. Listened to music while the clouds slowly creeped up, amazing. The sky changing as the sun sets, the changes in color. All glorious to behold while being hit with a show. Absolutely amazing, bucket list material.
It's Red Rocks! It lives up to the hype! Been here a bunch of times and never been disappointed. Movie night is fun and chill. Concerts are loud and amazing. Prices are about what you'd except any major music venue to be at, but the variety of drinks and food is nice. The museum and gift shop is actually quite nice and it's fun to bring visitors during the day for the sun, fresh air, and view.
Simple the best venue I've been to in the United States or Canada.
