I LOVED petting the sharks! Feeding the birds wad very fu, as well!
I LOVED petting the sharks! Feeding the birds wad very fu, as well!
Very clean well maintained. Beautiful sea jellies, dart frogs ... Good location.
The aquarium is a great place to go, down side its a fast walkthrough, nothing really fun to see, or walk to learn something new, I always get excited to go, but forget its just a go amd leave within 30-45 minutes.
A pleasant little aquarium with a diverse assortment of fish and other ocean life. Sadly, on the occasion I visited a number of the outdoor exhibits were not available.
Definitely check the events schedules before you visit, but it's well worth the trip.
I love this place!!! This was my 3rd time there. I never tire of it. So many different aquariums with such variety of sea creatures.
I love the scale model of a blue whale suspended from the ceiling at the entrance.
The aviary, the petting shallows, the seals, lessons in practical ways to save water, etc. Very family friendly.
Very good place to visit. Needs more variaty of fishes.
Amazing experience. I can touch star fish, and coral reef, and stingray! Their exhibition is arranged in a clever way with North Pacific water, South California water, tropical areas and ect. The place gets really crowded (with kids, of course) after 11, so be prepared to get there early and have some fun.
Love the sharks!!! Fun visit with family, friends and dates!!
My kids love this place! The layout is great and the staff is always so helpful.
I think the ticket price is a bit high for the atmosphere. Very busy and packed, not as many exciting exhibits as I thought. For the price, I was unimpressed. The aquarium should consider a time where just adults may be allowed / as a teen or adult it can be hectic and crazy with so many loud kids everywhere. Not as enjoyable for those without kids.
The best place go after you haven't been here for a really long time . My 1st time was when I was around 13 and going back to this place again at this age brought back so many memories . Now as a mom it was a great 1st time experience for my daughter plus all the employees were really helpful and respectful. Looking forward to coming again .
I like the shows they had like the divers in the tanks talking to the kids and educating them. Very colorful. Has a big blue whale when you first walk in
Not cheap. Try to get discounts online for yourself and the kids before going or an annual.pass. Huge number of exhibits including interactive and love shows. Lots of good food options across the street at the mall.
Fun loved the outdoor area and movies...ask for 3d theater as it is somewhat hidden!
A perfect option for family weekend. This is a great place for children. Great exhibits and wonderful staff. One of the most beautiful aquariums I've seen. you can pause and have a bite at the Cafeteria.
We had a great time here. It was a little hot and wearing a mask doesn't make it any better but I recommend spending the extra money and going for the Aquarium and whale watching tour. You get nice and warm and tired walking around looking at the animals and petting the jellys and rays then you end the day on boat where you get to sit, drink a beer, and watch some blue whales. Bring a jacket it gets cold!!
Really enjoyed my visit! The aquarium had a great variety of experiences to offer from the lorikeet forest where you could see birds up close to the touching tanks where you could touch small rays and sharks. The whole place was very clean and organized, there were several gift shopping areas, food and coffee available. Excited to see the new area when it opens.
Personally not enough to keep my interest however I'm nearly 50! Great for the kids and there was lots of kids here!!!!
Be prepared for lots of crowds even on a rainy day. The attractions were pretty cool, however, their cafe prices were pretty expensive. Come with lots of cash! Whatever you do, don't skip the shark exhibit!
Went last year great place for the whole family Reasonably priced, can get a L.A Zoo and aquarium passes for a good price.parking was cheap with validation, plenty of places to go see and eat outside of the aquarium.
Very nice place to go for families, tourists and school's! I liked the sharks, the rays and all the other stuff! Check out the really big aquariums with lots of action! Special some touching places to feel Jellies, rays and sharks! Enoy the show with seals and sea lions! Everyone there was friendly and even they did everything for handicaped peoples! Great time there and when I'm back in LA, I'll be back to visit You again! Yours sincerely Stefan Meier from Germany ;)
The family loved it. I loved it. Got a year pass- well worth it!
Love this place. My kids never tire of it! I don't think there is a slow time here, so buckle up and brace yourself for the crowds.
Even though it's an aquarium, the bird feeding area is one of our favorites. They jacked up the bird food prices though, the greedy bastards. The ticket prices are high enough that this feels like extortion.
I don't remember this place to much, but I remember going here when I was younger. It was so much fun. Afterwards, we would walk to the Long Beach lighthouse. I loved this place, and I would always asked my parents to go. Great place!
Price is understandable amazing views of fish and sharks and all types of fun experiences by touching jellyfish and sharks and stingrays.
Very good place for children too .
Very nice and beautiful aquarium! Money worth and watch for discounts!
A good experience for the kids with informative displays, shows and helpful staff
Great place to bring the kids and introduced them to the awesome animals of the sea
I had a great time during my membership. I was able to get my whole family in by paying for my membership, Amen.
Beautiful aquarium with so many interesting exhibits
Fun day, really busy but it is summer time. Lots to see, we bought the annual pass. Lots of families, lots of hands on exhibits.
Amazing exhibits! Loved the penguins and see puppies and jelly fish.
Fun time with the kids in Long Beach. Easy parking - and two hours pretty much hits it all . . .
Great place to spend day with family, can just get a bit crowded
Wonderful place to visit is big clean employees are very nice. It have restaurants food drink beer. You can see very close all the sea animals I recommend this place for any age. Oh it is very close to the beach close to restaurants and others attractions.
Really cool place and it has fun activities for kids but it is a bit expensive.
Crowded, but I have never been here on a Saturday. Still just as lovely to explore as when I was a child.
My family and I had a great time. Kids like the outside play area, and the jelly fish. I like the weird looking fish.
Took the grandkid and her friend. I had neverf been. We had a great time.
Love this aquarium great place to spend a day with the kids.
Great day and knowledgable staff. Surrounding area gives a lot of relaxing options dining and shopping
It was not that bad but now it only opens outside n takes same entrence fee as before. They sanitize everywhere often. Early morning is better coz after 11 am could be crowded
I couldnt give it a better rating because several of the electronic educational kiosks didnt work. Bathrooms all had either broken toilets or sinks or both. It seemed like the people that were emcees of different exhibits were unprepared and the food was very expensive. It is still worth a visit though it would be nice if they could spruce the place up though.
Way overpriced for what you get. You can see the whole place in 2hrs. Regular price "Adults" 29 dollars ages "12 and up". Parking 16 dollars too. Got tickets through AAA which saved 5 dollars each. Didn't eat anything at their food places so I cannot comment on quality or cost.
Loved everything about the Aquarium of the Pacific. Full of beautiful, colorful unique sea creatures. I got to pet a couple of stingrays. And enjoyed the great atmosphere.
I had a great time with my family! My daughter was excited to touch the jelly fish
I absolutely loved the Aquarium! I went to the 4th of July BBQ they had at the park which closed at 10pm that day... They have jelly fish, penguins, star fish, and small sharks. Some of the fish you can touch it's a beautiful place to spend the day. You can even feed birds they fly right up to you and ear the nectar from your hand. I definitely recommend it.
Lovely place to visit all the animals are looked after very well and there are touch pools as well. Many different species of fish and many more sea creatures. Worth a visit if your downtown in Longbeach California USA.
You won't regret coming here. Tons of stuff to see and do for the whole family.
Great aquarium. You get to pet a fricken shark, you guys!!
Crowded the patrons are extremely rude. Staff is 50/50. Some helpful some very rude. I recommend going during the off season. Less crowded, easier to enjoy.
Interesting and entertaining. Good to spend the day there with family. Kids loved the activities
Really loved the environment very beautiful animals touching stingrays was awesome
This is truly a marvelous place! It is a great resource and way to learn about sea life. There are many opportunities to become involved in conserving our wildlife. The one problem that I have seen is that sometimes children are too rough with the animals when they are allowed to touch them with two fingers or sometimes they smack the glass and disturb the fish.
I really like the jellyfish, seahorses, otters, stingrays, penguins, and seals.
Not much to see or do here. And no whales in sight besides the artificial one hanging in the entry
Good place to take family to and a fun leaning place for the children about the marine world
Small but worthwhile aquarium. The giant sting rays are delightful to see.
Love this place has so many interactive exhibits my favorites are touching jellyfish and touching the Rays. So many hidden spots all over the Aquarium make sure to explore outdoors thoroughly. 5 stars perfect place to take young children and not terribly expensive.
This place is huge. They have a ton of different fish and exhibits. I have always enjoyed the aquarium, it s fun and a great place for couples and families. They have some beautiful jellyfish and an awesome touch tank. They rays are beautiful and very soft. Some of the animals they have a pretty unique! They have some things that don t always work out because the animals may no be in the area of the viewing windows but that happens! The gift shop has a lot of cute stuff and I always spend too much there. However, I will say that all the restaurants close to the Aquarium are seafood places and I never feel like I can eat seafood after spending the whole day learning about them and petting them
Great place to spend the day by yourself or with family + friends! Good place to bring little kids
Nice experience with my husband and son. My baby first time here.
Two tickets would cost you $90 while becoming a member and getting annual pass only costs you $109, (tax deductable) (and you can park for$5/per time instead of $8 with prepaid vouchers only available to members)..So why not to become a member?
Best aquarium in Southern California. Such a memorable experience! I saw children of all ages interacting with animals and activities for even adults to enjoy wildlife. Must visit if you are in the Long Beach area, plus a great view of the Queen Mary.
Ended up baby sitting my niece and nephew and decided to take them to the Aquarium of the Pacific. They've been here many times but this time I wanted to do something a little bit different. So we booked the behind the scenes tour and it was great! Our host/tour guide Amy was delightful and answered all of our questions. Most of the tour goers we're adults, but Any was great in accommodating a 7 and 9 year old. If you're considering doing the behind the scenes tour just make sure all participants are 7 years or older :).
Parking was a bit confusing but you notic as you are approaching, nice environment clean, friendly staff
Really great place for kids or adults to learn about our ocean environment, see some great exhibits and enjoy the beach weather a bit. A little over priced on the snacks and can get crowded with strollers.
Went during Divers day, great experience to find resources for volunteer opportunities and programs available for divers.
Overpriced and always crowded. It's hard to really enjoy taking your time and looking at all the fish and other sea creatures. I also had a bad experience in the parking lot last time I visited with my kids. Someone parked SO badly crooked I could not get into my driver's side door. I could barely squeeze in between the cars to unlock my car. I had to climb in through the passenger side and work my way over to my driver's seat. Will only visit if I have a coupon or discount. Will not pay full price to visit. Sorry AotP, just keeping it real.
This is a great place to go with kids. Educational and informative, with lots of activities and enclosures which bring them very close to the animals.
If you need to get away and go visit something this is a place to go you will relax enjoy and learn a lot of stuff
