Everything you'd want in an aquarium. Just try and call in before you go and see if any schools are having fields trips that day. When there is, it's just too crowded, and the hallways are already a bit narrow. There could also be a few more animals to see. What they do have, however, are displayed wonderfully.

Always a great experience and not to pricey. Expect to spend about 100 power adult including ticket and 80 for kids including ticket... They opened a frog exhibit and its actually fun trying to find them in their spaces or cages. The otters are always fun to sit and watch, they end up paying with the crowd. And you can walk around with a beer, always a good thing...

This is a great place for OC an LA residents. i would recommend this to anyone who enjoys aquatic life, science, or learning. It isnt that big so i would recommend spending the extra few bucks to get the year pass so you can lower the per visit cost (get one of the ones that combines with another museum natural history is a good choice) . There is good shopping and restaurants in the area so it makes the whole area a great for the day.

Not many new attractions. But a beautiful place nonetheless. Well maintained, clean, and parking is never an issue. Their Gift shop, while pricey, contains many interesting gifts for people of all ages. Although the aquarium is very crowded it is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon with your family.

What a great spot! If you want to see some very cool marine life in innovative exhibits that are often a work of art on their own (check out the giant floor-to-ceiling tank in the main room), get solid community education (I highly recommend the seal/sea lion show!), and maybe even touch a shark (A SHARK!!!) or a jellyfish (A JELLYFISH!!!), this is the spot for you!

Priced very reasonably for a small group, be on the lookout for their frequent sales and coupon offerings.

So much fun! Was here in the late 90 s with my sons who where in elementary school at the time & had a great time.
This visit was with my grand kids, ages 1 & 2. Both of them had so much fun!
Both children loved watching the sea lions play under water, both fed the birds, & were able to pet the sting rays.
All of exhibits were clean, the fish looked well cared for & the animals looked happy.
There s lot s of outside tables to sit and eat
a packed lunch. Also, stroller parking is available inside of the building so you don t have to worry about carrying snacks & beverages through the exhibits.
Free admission for children 3 & under -
Parking is $8 after aquarium validation.
Definitely a great place to spend the day with
family and friends

I love the new renovation coming into place soon and the science technology being used to educate the children and parents about the sea animals. You can visualize yourself in the animals habitat surroundings. My 5 year old loved touching the sharks and large rays in the aquarium so I will definitely be coming back.

This place is great. My family loves coming here to touch ,see and learn about marine animals. Also the lorikets and the moon jellyfish are awesome. After hours we paid like $20 a person and they have added a lot of new exhibits. At this time there was not very many people. You can also buy tours of the bay combo tickets

Honestly a great place for the entire family to have a fun time! Many of the exhibits are visually stunning and can touch a large variety of the animals like seastars, parakeets, rays, and jellyfish! Staff is friendly and encourage you to learn more about our local oceans!

My kids love coming here! We checked out the late hours and it was nice that it wasn't very crowded. I am glad to see remodeling going on because I do feel it had kinda gone down in cleanliness in the last few years and is looking a little run down. Truly only worth the cost of you have a coupon or discount of some sort.

Feed the birds! You won t regret it. It was the coolest thing and my daughter won t forget it anytime soon. It was very easy to navigate and the kids enjoyed the half day we spent so much. If you re in Long Beach definitely check it out. Less than $20 to get in and you ll spend at least 3 hours.
