Good place to go specially with the kids, they enjoy the touch pools
There are lots of Hands-On pools for the kids to touch sharks, jellyfish, sting rays, horseshoe crabs, and more. There are lots of shows on a very frequent schedule, the building design is amazing. I really want to come back when the extension is done.
Loved it we had a great time as a family with our children and you get a variety of restaurants to choose from.
I went to the experience for the autism morning. My son had a good time he was very calm and enjoy it
This aquarium is so much fun! Tons of stuff to do and awesome exhibits to check out!
The Aquarium honestly is the best place a person or persons could ever go to. Prices are a little high but remember the aquarium is a non profit organization. They have plenty of animals that are absolutely fascinating to look at or even touch! There are plenty of opportunities as well to take a behind the scenes tour or even have an animal encounter! The aquarium staff is always friendly to everyone unless you do something disrespectful such as intentionally harm an animal. I would recommend to always ask the staff before you do something that may or may not be acceptable there just like any other place it does have some rules that are simple to follow just for safety preconceptions. Would come here again!
Good for the reduced night-time price. Somewhat small, but dedicated and informative workers/volunteers and some interesting exhibits.
Absolutely wonderful place to go on a date or go with family! Got to see many attractions and presentations going on. The new theater they just opened was definitely my favorite part of the whole trip. It felt so real and was a great experience, I recommend going to the theatre first!
Cool but confusing. Poor signage is a big problem along with very small displays that seem to be designed to be viewed by a family of 4 at the most.
We went in here on a LA go pass. It was a nice aquarium with huge tanks filled with sea life we could touch. They had a huge ray that I think was at least 9 feet long.
Nice place to visit kids love it and it's fun for adults too .
Great if you go right when it opens. Gets crowded by 11am. Validate your parking for 8 flat fee (take your ticket)
Great place to visit with little kids. Since the Aquarium is small, Better to avoid visiting on a long weekend.
Very nice aquarium. Great for samall children and Families.
Really interesting place, great to take kids. Who get to touch some stuff! Like crabs, starfish, sting rays even sharks!
I loved it.. especially the king crab which was more than 5 feet when it stretched...omg it looked like a spider on steroids...lol
Great place. HUGE tank walls create an eerie immersion that could have you gasping for breath. Not an action packed thrill ride but a wonderful stroll through that sports some hands on goodness and a nifty shark tank that seems to pull in every human with such an irresistible gravity it seems to bend the crowd's walking path.
Really enjoyed this aquarium. Did the aquarium and uss IOWA tour on the same day and had plenty of time for both. My 4 year old had a blast and especially loved the jellyfish! Great for the price.
OMG I GOT TO PET ALL THE CUTE ANIMALS AND WE FED THE BIRDS. BEST TIME EVER!!!!!
Although they have so many sea creatures, it s gets very packed and difficult to enjoy the Aquarium. The animals are great to to look at and it is great place for family but I would give this a 3.5 because of how crowded it is.
Definitely go if you love sea animals. They have different areas where you can touch creatures like starfish and moon jellyfish. It can get crowded though
Only reason why it's a 5 cuz the kids love this place but unfortunately my brother-in-law is mentally disabled and only one elevator was working I got no services from the staff and I put a complaint at the end of the day
My family had so much fun here. They experienced for the first time touching sting rays and sharks. The penguins and seals you could sit and watch all day they were awesome. We watched and learned about jellyfish which was fascinating. Definitely should experience this once at least.
Highly recommend, as long as children do not bother you. Exhibits are gorgeous and very appropriate.
It was a great experience, the kids loved it. Plenty of things to do inside the aquarium for the kids.
I really liked this place. I can spend all day here.
Went after boarding a cruise in Long Beach. My son is still talking about getting to touch sharks, rays and jelly fish a year after we went! Not a huge facility, easy to fo before or after a cruise if you're in the area.
Wonderful aquarium with exciting exhibits. They are large and well done.
A great place to stroll around and the kids will enjoy, lots of interactive stuff for the kids too
Do not come during the summer when kids are off school. Even in the middle of the week it is crazy busy. I have now learned my lesson and will never repeat this mistake again.
We bought the annual pass with the promotion discount for the 20th.year anniversary special, $130.00 for the 3 of us, for a year, is a great family day out. But next time were riding are bikes and packing a lunch. Parking and food for the three of us was over $60.00.
What a wonderful place to spend the day. So many great exhibits, engaging staff, and learning around every corner. Be sure to check out the periodic shows throughout the day.
It was my daughter's first time going to an aquarium she has so much fun . Good people . Good time . Amazing food
Great when it's not over crowded =) Also very education for field trips or new visitors. If you have kids get the free 'passport' to keep them on track and excited at reaching the exhibits
Food is over priced and not allergen friendly so pack food or hit up the nearby restaurants/carts outside
Seals are not available until 2017
I recommend getting a membership, especially if you are a local. The night events and discounted parking is worth it.
Beautiful aquarium with lots of fun, hands on activities! Conservation is stressed throughout the visit and exhibits, which is a wonderful message to share with visitors, especially those with young children. The interactive exhibits are great too, like petting a skate, a stingray, jellyfish and the lokikeet exhibit where you can feed the birds. Highly recommend this aquarium.
I have been bringing my daughter here since she was a few months old and it remains one of her favorite places in Southern California. There is no question that the aquarium has been irreplaceable in her discovery of marine environments. My only wish is that they find the resources to expand their exhibitions.
Great place to share with family and friends. This place always makes me feel so relaxing. I love looking at all of the ocean life it's very mommy friendly elderly friendly and child-friendly.There are a lot of great eateries in walking distance. Not to mention shopping if you need to do that(we always need that...lol) and parking is simple be prepared for a parking structure and you have to pay to park.Oh! Don't forget your camera!
I've been there and it was good. I was petting on the sea creatures at the Shark Lagoon.
Loved the tanks of rays that you could freely touch! Would go back again
Great time visiting with the family! It s nice that the aquarium has so much outdoor spaces. Smoothies where a good snack to keep the family moving. I would go back and take visitors in the future.
Nice place but not what expect it. It could have been better. The tickets were expensive for what it is worth.
What a wonderful aquarium. We enjoyed all the exhibits, but were especially excited by the feeding demonstration in one of the big tanks. Our son was delighted by the jellyfish. There are a few things that could use some updates- directional signage and use of space mostly, but we enjoyed our visit very much.
This was tons of fun, great for a family trip, i just wish there was a little bit more exhibits
disappointed by this place. Really small and fast. the most impressive species are not present. more interesting and relevant shows or animations would be appreciated for the price ..
I enjoyed Whale watching and the aquarium admission
Staff helpful, easy to navigate, lots of good info & fun, fun, fun.
Always fun. They update tanks and displays, so always something new to see
We visited in the beginning of July so the place was extremely busy and too many kids. For the price was little high if you don't have a coupons, but was nice for the kids
Had so much fun! We loved being able to interact with the marine life! Thank you for a great day!
Holy smokes. So crowded on the weekend. Great venue but need to go on a weekday to really enjoy the aquarium. What a mad house!
A fun visit for a cloudy afternoon. Tickets can be a bit steep for what you get be ok the lookout for discounts. Military discount is available. We enjoyed the jellyfish touch tank.
I'm new to California and enjoying all of these wonderful places. Aquarium of the Pacific is a wonderful place to take your children and family.
It was really busy the day we went, so that made it hard to see some creatures. Taking pics can be difficult getting the right angle without getting reflections esp of people in white t-shirts. That being said, watching jellies can be quite mesmerizing.
Took one star off since they should have better signage at steep areas for people in wheelchairs. A girl who seemed to not yet be super experienced at using her wheelchair nearly slammed into people because she couldn't properly brake going down a steep area at the shark tank (the girl's purse did however slam into an older woman's back side.)
My kids loves this place! and so do we the parents!
One of the best Aquariums I ve ever been to. Probably tied for first place with Big Sur and Shanghai Aquariums
My daughter love here . They are remodeling now until next year. Nothing new
Have a great day. The grandchildren have a great time touching the fish and seeing all the wonderful things that the Aquarium of the Pacific
Nice aquarium. The movie is a must watch. The theater is huge and provides a very unique experience. Parking is $8 with validation.
We were there during Covid so the indoors was closed to the public, but the outdoor shark tank, shark, ray & jellies petting ponds, penguins, seals & sea lions, and aviary were open. We're spent about 1.5 hours there. Plenty of hand washing stations and sanitizer available. They did a great job making it covid-friendly. $15 reduced entry fees for all (no discounts for kids or seniors). They validate parking passes, too, which saves $8 parking fee.
Nice but crowded little aquarium - absolutely worth seeing if you're in or around Long Beach.
Beautiful place ,the kids was very existing, everything awesome
Too bad the Scuba restaurant was closed for renovations.
Friendly and very informative staff members, great for kids and adults
Escorted my granddaughter's field trip. We had a blast!
Fun family outing. Lots of sea life to see and lots for hands on stuff for the kids
Maybe because we didnt have kids with us, but my husband and I just had an ok time there. It was packed, lots of overly tired children Our favorite part was the bird area where you could feed them.
