There are lots of Hands-On pools for the kids to touch sharks, jellyfish, sting rays, horseshoe crabs, and more. There are lots of shows on a very frequent schedule, the building design is amazing. I really want to come back when the extension is done.

The Aquarium honestly is the best place a person or persons could ever go to. Prices are a little high but remember the aquarium is a non profit organization. They have plenty of animals that are absolutely fascinating to look at or even touch! There are plenty of opportunities as well to take a behind the scenes tour or even have an animal encounter! The aquarium staff is always friendly to everyone unless you do something disrespectful such as intentionally harm an animal. I would recommend to always ask the staff before you do something that may or may not be acceptable there just like any other place it does have some rules that are simple to follow just for safety preconceptions. Would come here again!

Absolutely wonderful place to go on a date or go with family! Got to see many attractions and presentations going on. The new theater they just opened was definitely my favorite part of the whole trip. It felt so real and was a great experience, I recommend going to the theatre first!

Great place. HUGE tank walls create an eerie immersion that could have you gasping for breath. Not an action packed thrill ride but a wonderful stroll through that sports some hands on goodness and a nifty shark tank that seems to pull in every human with such an irresistible gravity it seems to bend the crowd's walking path.

Really enjoyed this aquarium. Did the aquarium and uss IOWA tour on the same day and had plenty of time for both. My 4 year old had a blast and especially loved the jellyfish! Great for the price.

Although they have so many sea creatures, it s gets very packed and difficult to enjoy the Aquarium. The animals are great to to look at and it is great place for family but I would give this a 3.5 because of how crowded it is.

Only reason why it's a 5 cuz the kids love this place but unfortunately my brother-in-law is mentally disabled and only one elevator was working I got no services from the staff and I put a complaint at the end of the day

My family had so much fun here. They experienced for the first time touching sting rays and sharks. The penguins and seals you could sit and watch all day they were awesome. We watched and learned about jellyfish which was fascinating. Definitely should experience this once at least.

Went after boarding a cruise in Long Beach. My son is still talking about getting to touch sharks, rays and jelly fish a year after we went! Not a huge facility, easy to fo before or after a cruise if you're in the area.

We bought the annual pass with the promotion discount for the 20th.year anniversary special, $130.00 for the 3 of us, for a year, is a great family day out. But next time were riding are bikes and packing a lunch. Parking and food for the three of us was over $60.00.

Great when it's not over crowded =) Also very education for field trips or new visitors. If you have kids get the free 'passport' to keep them on track and excited at reaching the exhibits

Food is over priced and not allergen friendly so pack food or hit up the nearby restaurants/carts outside

Seals are not available until 2017

I recommend getting a membership, especially if you are a local. The night events and discounted parking is worth it.

Beautiful aquarium with lots of fun, hands on activities! Conservation is stressed throughout the visit and exhibits, which is a wonderful message to share with visitors, especially those with young children. The interactive exhibits are great too, like petting a skate, a stingray, jellyfish and the lokikeet exhibit where you can feed the birds. Highly recommend this aquarium.

I have been bringing my daughter here since she was a few months old and it remains one of her favorite places in Southern California. There is no question that the aquarium has been irreplaceable in her discovery of marine environments. My only wish is that they find the resources to expand their exhibitions.

Great place to share with family and friends. This place always makes me feel so relaxing. I love looking at all of the ocean life it's very mommy friendly elderly friendly and child-friendly.There are a lot of great eateries in walking distance. Not to mention shopping if you need to do that(we always need that...lol) and parking is simple be prepared for a parking structure and you have to pay to park.Oh! Don't forget your camera!

Great time visiting with the family! It s nice that the aquarium has so much outdoor spaces. Smoothies where a good snack to keep the family moving. I would go back and take visitors in the future.

What a wonderful aquarium. We enjoyed all the exhibits, but were especially excited by the feeding demonstration in one of the big tanks. Our son was delighted by the jellyfish. There are a few things that could use some updates- directional signage and use of space mostly, but we enjoyed our visit very much.

It was really busy the day we went, so that made it hard to see some creatures. Taking pics can be difficult getting the right angle without getting reflections esp of people in white t-shirts. That being said, watching jellies can be quite mesmerizing.
Took one star off since they should have better signage at steep areas for people in wheelchairs. A girl who seemed to not yet be super experienced at using her wheelchair nearly slammed into people because she couldn't properly brake going down a steep area at the shark tank (the girl's purse did however slam into an older woman's back side.)

We were there during Covid so the indoors was closed to the public, but the outdoor shark tank, shark, ray & jellies petting ponds, penguins, seals & sea lions, and aviary were open. We're spent about 1.5 hours there. Plenty of hand washing stations and sanitizer available. They did a great job making it covid-friendly. $15 reduced entry fees for all (no discounts for kids or seniors). They validate parking passes, too, which saves $8 parking fee.

Maybe because we didnt have kids with us, but my husband and I just had an ok time there. It was packed, lots of overly tired children Our favorite part was the bird area where you could feed them.
