Great experience, but the prices were on the high side! Especially for little ones.
Great experience, but the prices were on the high side! Especially for little ones.
Really great day out for anyone, especially kids. The Scuba Cafe was above average for bistro food but there are also plenty of other chain restaurants right outside. You could spend a whole day here.
Kids loved it, especially the little splash zone and places where they could drop their hands into the water. Could be better if they had more stuff to see and soothing was cheaper.
Although at first seems small, the aquarium is absolutely amazing. It is located in the Long Beach Pike , which has many activities and views to see after your done. The aquarium has all their exhibits well organized and decorated. There are shows for each exhibit which inform the public more about certain exhibits. There is also and outside portion withc more adorable sea animals. Make sure to visit The Lorikeet Forest which is amazing. There is parking available ( Paid Parking)
It was relly fun my daughter loved it only problem I had that it was hard to look for parking andit was on a Sunday
It s a good place to visit if you are with kids or family (with children). I like the deal that you can buy a ticket with other attraction places like Los Angeles zoo. But the ticket itself might be a bit overpriced.
Staffs are nice and friendly.
Kids love it, mine certainly did. Not cheap but compmetely worth it for the liitle ones. I'd be interested in seeing other cities aquariums.
The marine life is awesome. The food was okay. Had a burger, it took along time to come out and was dry.
Kind of pricy for how small it was but our daughter enjoyed it. We also happened to go on a day where every school in the area went on a field trip there. It was so crowded.
I liked it very much such cool sea animals. Suggest going there
Friendly staff, easy to find location with parking validation and military discount.
Nice aquarium very educational and informative also nice shopping and restaurants in the same vicinity of the aquarium the Pike Outlets and the Shoreline Park areas
Great aquarium. Lots of interactive exhibits which my kids aren t as into as others, but they still had a great time. Missing some aquarium classics like a true shark tunnel and larger panoramic windows into large tanks. But very good views with lots of intriguing and diverse exhibits.
The aquarium of the Pacific is the best aquarium in the Los Angeles area. There are several exibits with fish from all arround the world. There is a shark tank, seal exibit and penguin exibit outside. It is a great place for kids to come and explore. There is also an area outside for kids to play in the fountains. The aquarium is right next to the marina so there are great views of the ocean and Queen Mary boat.
one of the best day in my life with my daughter and his father
Nice aquarium and not overly crowded during week days.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very interesting place.
Very beautiful and peaceful here. Kids would love it
Great aquarium to visit for all ages with so many different exhibits and areas to see. Well worth the price of admission and the ability to pet the rays, fish, and anemones was a really fun and memorable experience. Many different varieties of jellyfish are also on display in multiple areas of the aquarium. Very surreal and relaxing to watch them!
Great place to discover our coastal life and what we can do to help it survive us humans. So much work is behind making this an interesting attraction, it's great to see all the displays and exhibits.
Here's a sea otter for your viewing pleasure.
Very nice aquarium, I was able to touch the small sharks. Had a overall good experience
Love the Aquarium of the Pacific! The tall ceilings, wide open spaces, and fantastic touch pools are just portions of what make this a top level aquarium. The staff here are always helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. The exhibits are great, and kids absolutely love the touch pools. In addition you have the always popular lorikeet forest! Pro tip - when the birds sit on your arm to eat, twist them so their tails face away from you. You don't want a little surprise on your clothes!
Before visiting, be sure to check the calendar of events. They have really wonderful cultural days that run the gamut, very entertaining and educational.
The restaurant is very good, providing a wide range of meals and always including a sustainable seafood option. The staff range from professionals to culinary students - either way they food they come up with is suprisingly good.
Pro tip - if you want the aquarium to yourselves, with little or few people around, go Saturday or Sunday morning right when they open. There won't be any school tours, and the touch pools will be wide open. On top of that, you can get some sneak peak of the crew cleaning out a few of the tanks and exhibits!
Only the outside exhibits are opened.
You can see the sea lions, sharks, rays and jellyfish. The parakeet exhibit is opened. Purchase a $4 cup of food, go inside the exhibit and the birds fly to your arm to eat! It's definitely a must!! They might poo on you so if you're queazy, you've been warned.
The aquarium is something from another world. It's very clean and they have lots to see. We spend about 4 hours here because my boyfriend wanted to attend almost all the presentations. The staff are helpful and friendly and seemed to know a lot about the creatures under their care. I went on a Wednesday after 12pm and it wasn't crowded.
Allow time to take it all in. It's a wo derful learning place.
They have a couple of Night Dive events that are 18+, highly encouraged to check out and fun place to bring a date.
As always, impressed and amazed by the all different exhibits and creatures.
Great place for a nice outing with family or your love one s. All the exhibits are very nice and clean take advantage of the educational shows and the different activities they have going through the aquarium. They serve food as well and drinks for adults, If you don t feel like eating at the aquarium there is many location to eat and to relax around the area. Nice place to visit once I lost my wallet with money in side and it was returned with in minutes very nice people go here. I visit at least once a year the Aquarium has discounts on there website.
Very nice. Lots of families. Parking takes some time...
Great place to bring the young ones and get their marine biologist on..!!!!!
A Long Beach must. Plenty of exhibits and lots to do around the surrounding area.
All indoor exhibits are currently closed due to COVID, but at a discounted price the trip was well worth it! Animals are well cared for and staff is super friendly and informative, as well as consistent in enforcing social distancing guidelines. Was a great birthday trip.
High quality aquarium with great experiences for kids. The tank to gently touch rays and young Hammerhead sharks is very memorable for kids. The trainers were very informative at each of the shows. The night harbor tour was interesting and a good opportunity to see Long Beach skyline, docks and THUMS Islands.
It's just too expensive for me. Better if you get a membership (if you have 2 or more children )
Nice aquarium. I saw different species I haven t seen in other aquariums. They are building another building right now so you can look forward to that. Shopping is nearby as well as a nice park and light house. You can take a peaceful stroll afterwards. Admission was pricey and I went through the exhibits pretty quick. I went two hours before closing and some of the showings were done. But overall experience was nice.
Good price and fun for my nieces and nephews. There was some construction for an add-on I think so I will need to go again.
We love this place! We go with our daughter every year!
Spent the whole day here, it was alot of fun, lots to see and learn. Stayed late for the Otter Bowl, which was alot of fun and cuteness. Will definitely be back to finish exploring and to check out other events.
Always a fun place to visit especially if you have little ones. Could also be a fun date spot if you've never been before. There's an area outside where you can pet the stingrays & jellyfish. Just remember it's a soft two finger touch - one finger is considered a poke and three fingers is considered a grab. The volunteers that work there will remind you. Entrance fee is about $30 for adults (I forget kids) & parking is $8 validated at the Aquarium. So remember to bring your ticket with you and when you leave, use the scanner located near the exit to scan your ticket to reduce the fee.
For a low price got to see that amazing aquarium and a wale watch cruise. A great whole day. A good tip, no parking for a motor, but call first and they will fix you up.
Super fun and very interactive. Its a fun trip you could see the whole aquarium in 3 to 4 hours.
Best aquarium in Southern California. Can spend all day here and lots of outside food options nearby. Huge variety of marine animals and love the growing emphasis on conservation. Highlights include sea otters with shows, seal and sea lion tanks that you can view underwater, many touch pools, the jellies, and all the little little tanks with unique animals you can see up close. Worth an annual pass if you live in So Cal and have kids!
Great place to go with the family. Waiting for the new construction to end.
I really like to touch a shark cause they are too smooth
Great place for kids to get away from screens and marvel and the wonder of existence. Bonus: high conservation ethos runs through the place, promoting environmental awareness. I recommend purchasing your tix ahead of time at a local AAA branch to save $.
Amazing collection of creatures and always fun for all ages!
So much fun went to see the tropical frogs. Fun exhibit endless stuff to see and great afternoon .
Fun for kids. Splash areas for hot days. Indoors is air conditioned. Outdoors has shady areas. Food is decent. They sell beer. Area to feed birds (Larikeets) w Nectar. They land on you; super fun. You can pet sharks, stingrays, starfish, anemonies, & crab
PENGUINS!!!!! so awesome, I love coming here and learning every time.
Penguins held hands and kissed beaks. Lost my car for over an hour because i was in the wrong parking structure.
boring tanks. boys loved the touch tanks. too much money not enough excitement.
It's a cool spot, but I'm not sure it's worth the money
Macy and I are having fun at the Aquarium! We saw lots of fishes.
I visited with friends during a trip to Los Angeles to see a friend. It was a phenomenal trip to the aquarium
I'm a fish biologist who looks at fish all day and I was completely in awe at the eclectic selection and display of marine life. Beautiful and well organized. Fun for kids. Lots to do.
You will definitely be spending around 2-3 hours here. There are a lot of exhibits to see (fish, manta rays, birds, jellyfish (sea jellies), seahorses, etc) and my favorite were the seals and penguin. The aquarium has two touch tanks which are located indoors and outdoors. The indoor one contains animals such as sea stars, sea slugs, sea anemone and the outdoor one contain animals such as baby sharks and sting rays.
One of the top things to do when visiting Long Beach. Spent a great half day here.
Other than being a bit crowded its an amazing aquarium. After 330 seems like the schools leave.
really cute!! i love all the interactive features! I like the bird cage the most. i love being with the fish and seeing them so closely. just watch out for the school groups :P
Great place for kids and family.. Pack a lunch or eat in the area lots of food places.
I had a really awesome time here! Must visit! Same the sea animals... and all animals!
I can't get enough of this place somebody please send me a yearly pass I would go there every day where else can you pet a shark see a feel and of course my number one favorite thing to watch are the penguins jellyfish little kids in their mermaid costumes yes I like this place
Get the annual membership, way worth the price and it goes to a great cause.
Love, you need to go so stop debating about it. Lots of coupons available if you look around.
Truly, truly lame. Small exhibits, few animals. Took us about an hour and a half really taking our time. Loads of screaming kids and pushy mom's with strollers. The seals and sea lions were cute!
We spent about 3 and 1/2 hours going through the aquarium. They have some interesting sea creatures that we have not seen at other aquariums. We even got to touch a jelly fish!!! We have touched a lot of other creatures at other places but never a jelly fish.
Fantastic aquarium been coming here with kids for almost 2 decades.
The aquarium is a nice place but rather small. Ticket price is a little high but the major problem with the aquarium is the field trips. I have gone here 3 times and each time there has been a field trip with 5-8 bus loads of kids.
The kids are too loud, smell, they bump into you and make the whole experience unbearable.
