A great local aquarium with friendly knowledgable staff and fun touch tanks. The moonjelly touch tank was unexpectedly beautiful. The film about climate change was informatiinal and also hopeful. Don't forget to validate your parking but be prepared to still pay $8 for the day (down from about $20). Tons of Pokemon Go spawns, stops and gyms, if you are so inclined

GREAT content. First impressions and initial first experience purchasing tickets and entry is lacking. Knowledgeable staff.

It is a beautiful place, great scenery, they have a lot of add on attractions to offer. I just wasn't impressed with the aquarium itself. It was very condensed, all the open displays of fish were so close together, and it crowded and loud. We ended up just walking the pier, & enjoying the area.

Fun and my daughter looooves the aquarium. It's great that they have member only nights and many special events.

This place is an absolute blast. Totally kid friendly as well. We took my 2 year old for his birthday and he absolutely loved it.

So much fun! Being to put your hands in the water and touch the rays is awesome!

If you enjoy sea life I encourage you to visit the Aquarium. They have every kind of sea creature you could imagine and a few you'd never know existed! My kids love the bird enclosure where you can feed them. Just be warned that they will land on you so don't panic! They are very friendly and just want some food. Another great thing are the touch tanks. You can touch Stingrays and Sharks as well as jelly fish!

I's a great local Aquarium. Could easily spend half-a-day there.

I haven't been to many aquariums, so it's hard to compare, but I thought the Aquarium of the Pacific was really cool. It was a bit crowded, but that's to be expected on a weekend.

Nice aquarium, but a little smaller than I would expect for Southern California.

We had so much fun here today. It was the perfect type of outing for my almost 3 and 4 year olds. We loved all the different exhibits and touch labs, it kept them very busy and entertained. It was a little crowded, not like Disneyland crowded though. However, it was Saturday.. but it really wasn't too bad. Great for all ages!

Like any kid friendly place, be on high alert for kiddos running in front of you or full on into you, oblivious parents ramming double strollers against your ankles and overpriced mediocre nachos. The beautiful animals, well placed info cards and picturesque location make it all worth while. Make sure to download a coupon!

So fascinating! An amazing assortment of sea creatures!

When this place gets crowded, it's really a bummer. There are few places where the crowd lets up, and it's difficult to move around. When it isn't crowded, it's fun and enjoyable, but I can't say I'm blown away by it.

To be fair, my review is only for things you can see with general admission. I have not participated in any other exhibits such as the 4D turtle thingy.

Not what I expected, bad idea going on a Saturday. Too packed couldn't see any of the sea animals because it was just to jammed... this will not be on a future list of places to go and if we do.. NEVER ON A WEEKEND. Being able to pay the sea animals was pretty neat though... I loved that

A good place for kids to learn nature. My little son was so excited that he couldn't stop taking pictures. However, I think they should have a big signage to show direction with the detail, right at the front of the entrance. They should also have the 4D Movies ready (I was told over the phone there would be 4D's, but there were no when we were there. A staff said Yes, but the other said no. Finally they said yes. We were confused. Movie Counters should be open at least 30 minutes before a show.
There should be more explanation in each exhibit, either by sound or slide or even writing.

Great aquarium! If you plan to visit during the week go to the aquarium after 1:00 p.m.. Lots of school groups in the morning but then the place empties out around 1:00 p.m.. They are open until 6:00 p.m. which gives you plenty of time to take in the aquarium. The exhibits are great especially the hands on outdoor exhibits.

Great place! We loved our visit, and look forward to coming back again.

Is not too big but it's nice. The parking is in front so no issues if you are using car.

Was really excited about going here with my kids... Seems like the experience was a let down for the kids... They actually like the aquarium at Cabrillo beach better..

Took my 10 and 14 year old nieces here today. We all had a great time! Very educational and interactive, in a way that was interesting to all of us. Beautiful animals and exhibits along with friendly and knowledgeable staff made for a great visit! And the folks at the photo counter were great and we ended up taking home some cute and funny pictures!

Aquariums are a great place to spend the day. This one was good, but I have definitely been to better ones.

Staff were very friendly and kind. The Aquarium was beautiful and had lots of exhibits.

Loved our visit here in June! Had a great time with my family and really liked all the social distancing measures they put into place. It was a little different but didn't impact our fun.

This is a wonderful aquarium, largest one around. The parking is real easy and once you are in the exhibits are amazing. You must watch one of their films, and their gift shop is a lot of fun. Love that you can pet the fish outside in the back.

A very nice Aquarium! We enjoyed being able to pet stingrays and sharks. And enjoy the awesome Sea Horse & Dragon exhibits.

So much fun. Go during the week when it's not so busy. Weekends are too packed to enjoy.

Pretty lit place alot smaller than i imagined it would be but then again when i did use too go, it was back in the day as a kid so it seemed a lot bigger. One of the coolest thing id say there is too do is the bird feeding i missed the opportunity as a kid. But finally after all these years did it as and grown adult it kind of startled me at first cuz the parrots fly too you as soon as they see and smell the nectar in your hand they land right on your shoulders and arms up too 3-4 at a time sometimes they fight amongst themselves too. But over all thats what really made my day there cool :)

Great place to take the kids. My family had a blast. I would recommend for everyone.

I was expecting something much bigger. But it s still good to visit once. I don t see the point of getting membership though.

Jewel of the Port of Long Beach. Ok doesn't have the same ring as the Jewel of Morro Bay but at least this place exists

Great place to go with the family! I touched so many beautiful fishes! From sharks to stingrays to jellyfish, you can touch them all and learn so much about them! Take your family!

Definitely the most impressive aquarium I have seen.

Great experience. The whole family enjoyed it. It's not the biggest aquarium but it offers a lot of different exhibits from sea lions to sting rays. With much more in between.

Responsibly priced, definitely busy, super fun, and great for all ages. It has a lot to see and plenty of interactive shows to keep little ones and adults occupied and happy. My favorite place was the Shark Lagoon. Petting sharks and rays was awesome! It gets very crowded within a couple hours of opening on a Saturday morning as families and lots of kiddos arrive but it s large enough that you won t get too swamped in the chaos.

Went for my Birthday. Never made it through the door. The prices are ridiculous. Was disappointed. You have to really have to go and enjoy.

Nice to see wildlife. I was expecting a bit more. Worth the money.

Really nice aquarium with something to see for everyone. The jellyfish exhibit was definitely our favorite! But! There were kids *everywhere* because it was a day for field trips, which was really kind of hard on the experience.

My family loves this aquarium! It's very educational, and there are numerous areas where you can actually touch some of the animals you see in exhibits. It's a bit expensive and really crowded the times we've been there. The last time we went, we got there shortly after opening and stayed to closing and still didn't quite catch everything.

Love it here. One of my absolute favorite places to be.

One of the best aquariums I've visited. They have a lot of hands on tanks. Loved feeding the birds. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Didn't eat there, so can't review. Would go back when we are in the area.

Great place to bring the kids and have a great time with the family. Shark lagoon is my favorite spot because you get to touch the rays and have the kids interact with them.

was able to have a management gala at this beautiful venue. The food was okay, but the service was very good. And obviously the atmosphere was great.

Everytime I go, I always wanna go back!! It is such an amazing place! So positive, so energetic, so educational! I loved the theater show experiene and the educational stations with experts letting you touch and feel the different artifacts. Everytime I go I always see new and better things! So inspiringly planet conscious.

Awesome visit all was clean and great experience. The sections they had for sharks, penguins, fishes, birds, jelly fishes, was fantastic. Went with my wife and daughter they loved it. There was places to touch bamboo sharks and jelly fished and birds i believe they were parrots or something else. Still loved it. They have $4 feeding for birds but its absolutely free to go inside. There was entertainment theaters showings about animals and oceans and other things for those wild life and weather lovers . Theres validation inside $8 dollars for the whole day. Great customer service. Theres a food court where they sell simple basic snacks just to get by and they also sell drinks and beers and wine wooo awesome . You can drink inside just bring Identification. Everyone is respectful and nice and courteous . They have gift shops and they got a membership discount. Its a great place for family, dates , friends, kids, seniors, outside tourists to come enjoy. Its a two floor aquarium. Also they have a slushie section by the bamboo sharks. They gone fun souvenirs that you can get by spending 2 quarters and a penny and youll spin the machine and get a penny with a aquarium animal inprinted. Great souvenir .

So cool. Small but worth it. Did a behind the scenes tour and it was super fun and informative.

We expected a lot more for the price, however what we saw was fantastic.
