Tons of exhibits to see and interact. Food is expensive and the usual eats of hamburgers pizza and chicken. Ice cream is available in some exhibit areas with plenty of seating throughout. Loved the area of botanical gardens. Butterflies and tropical birds that land on your shoulders. Wonderful experience.

Located in Long Beach, at The Pike, near the Hilton and yhe Convention Center and across the water from the Queen Mary, the Aquarium is in the perfect location for anyone visiting from out of town, or just looking for a good family outing.

They offer season passes for individuals couples and families. We have the family pass, and go on a regular basis with our kids. They were regularly offer special events such as themed days, or special hours. The kids always want to visit the various touch pools, as well as seeing the sharks and sea otters (especially at feeding time).

I have also been there for corporate events, and they do a great job.

This place is actually great but it all depends what time you go I would highly recommend going super early to truly enjoy the entire aquarian without having hundreds of annoying kids running around and clueless parents.

This place was a great experience, my 5 month old daughter was entertained with the tanks full of colourful fish. You are able to touch the sting rays and friendly mini sharks. The Jelly fish were amazing.

Wonderful place with lots of different marine life. They are explaining also a lot about their work like taking care of all the fish and other animals as well to go skin-to-skin with some fish at the touch tanks. I really enjoyed my visit, just I suggest pre-order your ticket online, it saves a lot time and the maschines for ticket pickup are easy to use.

It was fun, crowded right before all of the children go back to school. The bird exhibit was great. The petting of the sharks and rays was very educational. I like how questions were answered and explanations and descriptions were volunteered.

Excellent learning and family experience. Our favorite part was being able to pet the rays, however knowing that the rays only come to the surface of the water because theyre hungry is sad. I hope that the habbits of the animals are not learned the way that sea world teaches their animals to do tricks. All of the animals appear healthy and in the end the aquarium is worth the visit.

It was pretty good. I think we saw everything in about 6 hours. Was crowded, but still got good views and pic opportunities. Seems a little expensive, but it does look really nice after the remodel.

Try to avoid going on weekends if possible. It's gonna be packed for sure. Parking can be tough, especially if you arrive later in the day. Parking can be validated by the aquarium or any restaurants around. The exhibits are cool but it's hard to enjoy yourself when there's a million people standing in front of them holding their kids up. I made the best out of the trip but it wasn't worth it for me.

The best place in Long Beach by far. Everything is close by so you dont have to eat at the aquarium.
The aquarium itself is very informative and fun. Touch a jellyfish and a sting ray!
Animals are well cared for and the staff will answer any and all of your questions.

Such a fun place to take children, clean and lots to see. The annual pass is the best bang for your buck, very reasonably priced. It's also in close proximity to restaurants and other fun things to do in town.

My babies love the touch pools with the sharks and sting rays. Kind of disappointed that only the external exhibits were open. Also skip the Whale Watching after May you wont see much unless birds and seals are on your list.

Its mostly looking at aquariums. Although theres a huge variety. Theres an indoor area where you can touch sea cucumbers, star fish and anemones. There's also an outdoor area where you can pet small sharks and rays and another area where you can touch jellyfish. Small playground and gift shop. Overall fun but not much to re-visit for.

A visit very well worth the time and reasonable fee during our trip to Long Beach. The volunteer guides were amazingly informative. We definitely left with more understanding and respect for aquatic life than we ever had before. We're very appreciative for the kids volunteering their time to share and educate.

A great aquarium with a variety of exhibits from jellyfish to otters to even birds! The annual membership for two is a particularly good deal if you plan on going more than once a year.

This was one of the better aquariums that I have been to. There were an excelent variety of animals and species. The feeding of the seals and sea lions was informative and entertaining. There were several school groups there so it was harder to get close to the exhibits on a quieter day it would be a very relaxing place to stay. Work was being done on the outside of it I look forwward to visiting it again to see the upgrades.

I've seen a whole lot of aquariums over the years (we have plenty in Australia), and this was done quite well. Don't be fooled-you don't have to walk though a long tube to see a great aquarium. This was small enough to interact with the staff and the sea creatures. Both of my kids (9,11) enjoyed it. There was plenty of sea life from North Pacific and some from other areas of the pacific as well.

This is a must see place if youre in LA. It is a great place for adults as well as children. While youre there definitely stop and see the sea lion show and feed the birds. Also there are a ton of touch tanks. You can touch jelly fish, sting rays, and a few others.
