Really cool!!!

Really cool!!!
They have big octupi in a tiny confinement though. I don't think that's ethical because they're very smart and have emotions.

The Aquarium of The Pacific is awesome! So many Great exhibits. I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Blue Cavern. It was awesome! My favorite exhibits are the large tanks with not only many different types of fish, but also beautiful sea life, like coral, anemones, etc. My Wife and I went together, but as we went on Labor day there were so many families with kids that were having fun and being incredibly fascinated, etc, band and that made the whole experience more fun for my Wife and myself.

Great little aquarium. Easy parking. Very nice exhibits including several nooks that you can walk into for an immersive ecperience. Dont forget to visit the outside exhibits for penguins, lorikeets, horseshoe crabs and others.

I am a sucker for anything ocean related so I fully acknowledge by bias, but this place is so big and so much fun. I'm not sure if I would get a yearly pass, because you can do everything in just one day. The best parts are getting to touch the animals like jellyfish and rays. Some fun educational shows for young kids too. Dining options are overpriced and lack options, but as long as you keep your ticket and get stamped, you can eat downtown nearby.

Went on the weekend (Sunday) and it wasn't too crowded. The staff is friendly. Awesome ocean animals you can touch such as jellyfish and manta rays.

Update: I've been on a Monday as well and it was a lot more crowded that day. There were elementary schools visiting. I also went on a Monday where spring break was still occuring, so there were probably more tourists and such. It was considerate of the aquarium to push their hours back to 8pm during the spring break weeks. It's a lovely aquarium to visit.

Easy parking and a lot of parking just across the street! All of the exhibits have staff by them and there are many interactive exhibits for all ages! The aquarium has a wide range of animals from all over the world! I have an amazing time and it's one of my favorite places to take family and friends when visiting from out of town.

Aquarium of the Pacific is a wonderful place with a variety of interesting and exciting exhibits. The staff is friendly, passionate and educated. My biggest complaint is that on the busiest days we've visited they are unable to keep up with disrespectful patrons. You'll have people banging on the Octopus exhibit, or trying to grab animals, and the staff simply aren't around or too busy to immediately address the issues. I'm not sure if it's simply a matter of staffing or policy that keeps them from taking a more aggressive approach to rude customers, but it seems we have an experience like this every time we visit. Ultimately though, it doesn't keep us away. There is a ton to learn about and see inside and a beautiful area to enjoy outside after.

I love seeing the jelly fish and the sea dragons, they're my favorites! The penguins didn't smell so bad this time, probably because it's winter and all the rain washed their poo away. You can pet some jelly fish, and they almost feel like nothing! It's really hard to describe.

Great fun for the kids. Incredible learning experience. My 2 yr old couldn't stand still for a minute. Running from tank to tank. The views of the stingrays are awesome and actually touching them was a blast. Will definitely return but with a to yearly pass!

Despite having lived here for several years, we had not gotten around to visiting the Aquarium until now and it was worth every penny. We did the behind the scenes tour (highly recommended) where we got to see the operation of the facility up close and feed some of the fish. This is a great activity for young kids and would be a great place to take out of town guests who have kids. They'll love the touch tanks where they can pet rays, sharks, horseshoe crabs, and even jellyfish.

Beautiful Aquarium! Spacious, always kept cleaning, the exhibits are all state of the art, very well kept and the animals all look great and healthy.
Many interactions and touch pools, and extremely kid friendly, for all ages of kids. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.

I love love love the aquarium. Best in LA. I only wish they had whales but that would be besides the point. Make sure of their discounted rates. Ask everyone questions and try to take the tours!

Fun! Lots to do and see. It was fairly busy when we went. I think it is best suited for kids over 5 or 6. My son is 4 and there are a lot of educational elements that he wasn't mature enough to understand. But, he still enjoyed looking at the jellies and other sea creatures.

Truly an amazing experience with tons of content to keep you busy throughout the day. Would highly recommend the backstage tour as you get to see alot of things that are done behind the scenes. 10 out of 10 would do again!

My husband and I went to Long Beach because he had a business meeting for the day. I decided to walk around the pike and was walking past the Aquarium of the Pacific. So I went in and loved every minute. Very nice Aquarium. Worth the visit.

Always a fun beautiful experience. The free souvenir guide was so fun for my 3 and 7 year old granddaughters to locate the clues given, and then, best of all, use the impression gizmo to permanently emboss their conquest. . And petting the friendly rays over a watchful eye

Large aquarium with large pools with beluga whales, penguins, dolphins, and otters. They also have over 100 other smaller pools/ exhibits. A few things I didn't like: there is no clear path to follow to see everything and super crowded. In places, they have arrows in the floor but not everywhere. When we were ready to leave, we didn't want to take the stairs in front. We were sent to go out the back towards the mantaray petting area. That meant we had to walk a lot to get there. Petting stations were great for kids! Over all not a bad experience

Fun for all ages, touch tanks are fun for children, there is also a Aviary full of colorful friendly birds. You can purchase liquid bird food and they will eat right out of your hand, food cup is very small about 8th of a ounce for $4 but hey it's not every day a beautiful birds eat ot of the palm of your hand.

I've been here two times, once when my daughter was 5-6 months old and recently on March 31,2018 for my husband's birthday. Its an amazing place for family time. I love all the animals and so did our daughter

Aquarium of the Pacific was great. It was very educational and interesting to see all of the Marine life, from the exotic fish to the coral. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's good for all age groups, I brought my babies and they were interested the whole time we were there.

It is a beautiful place. Lovely exhibits and informative staff who care to explain you if you have any questions the inside food is not so good unless you are a fried food fan.. it is a baby friendly place and does gets crowded on the weekends.

My girlfriend, her niece, sister, and I went to the Aquarium of The Pacific on a school day which might have been a bit of a mistake, as the place was literally overrun by unruly youngsters. Other than that little draw back, the place is fantastic. The staff of the Aquarium was very well versed, polite, and close at hand. The facility was well kept. All in all the visit was a great experience. I will not hesitate to take friends and family here in the future. I would recommend that anyone interested in going check into a package deal for The Aquarium and The Queen Mary which we did not find out a four till after our visit this time.

We loved our trip here!! It was absolutely amazing and our 3 yr old had so much fun. However, can we all agree as adults that children should get front row viewing at the portals? Not multiple rows of adults taking minutes long videos crowding around exhibits.

Great place for families with young kiddos. Can easily spend a few hours watching and touching the sea animals. I go once a year and they always have new things to keep us excited and going back.

For being an Aquarium, feeding the birds was the most engaging area. For the size of the place they do a good job cramming a lot of different exhibits in and covering a lot of species. There always seems to be stuff going on to keep you engaged. Take the family and enjoy. It's worth it.

A must see of L.A. From the shows to the touch tanks to the informative exhibits themselves, this is a wonder of an educational experience. Animals seem very happy and healthy and loved by the staff. The construction of some of the tanks feature walk-in or crawl-in areas which allow you to feel like you are in these huge tanks with the animals - so cool! You can easily spend a few hours here with a group of any age seeing it all. A large section of the aquarium is outdoors, so bring your sunscreen!
