Our family of 9 purchased a membership and it is worth every penny. This place is amazing! Welcomed by a smiling, helpful & friendly staff. So many displays & ways for our 7 kids (ages 2-15) could view the beautiful fish (& more), interact & learn. Indoor & outdoor displays. They were even able to pet sharks & rays! We re excited to come back & bring our friends & family!

Viewing the exhibits is kinda interesting. I have a great time there.

A Must go to my 4 year old loves it great selection of sea life. New upgrades and additions wonderfull place always a nice time to see the ocean greats.

I visited this place during extended night holiday hours. Tickets price is twice cheaper and almost no one inside. Great collection of coral fishes. One of the best I ever seen. I was impressed by the shark tank with huge animals drifting in dark water.

Great place to spend the day with your children. Our favorite things to do are the touch pools and the water play area. If you plan your visit right you can do the indoor 1st floor exhibits, the outdoor exhibits (dont forget to feed the Lorikeets) grab a bite to eat on the second floor at the cafe (larger manu to choose from or bring your own food). Finish off your visit on the second floor indoors including the touch tide pool and make it home before traffic is too crazy.

The marine life is magical at this aquarium. I think some of the plants and animals here may be healthier than they exist in their natural habitat. The jelly fish are breathtaking. The penguins and otters are so playful and so close to you. It was cool to touch some of the marine animals however, teaching tourists to touch marine life like starfish, anemones and rays can be harmful when those interactions take place in nature. It would be great to see the aquarium provide educational facts about how tourists can safely interact with marine life in nature.

If you don't have nothing to do, this is a great place to escape to.... a little pricey though for the type of entertainment it has.

They had live dancing performances when went. Although the construction limited their exhibits, it was so a good visit.

Very accessible. My toddler enjoyed it. That's what counts.

My kids had alot of fun even though it was smaller than expected other than that great for the little ones to explore and discover.

Great aquarium, lots to do and see. Our 2yo loves it. We go a couple times a year. The new theater is pretty cool and doesn't take up a lot of time. Lots of interactive things to keep young ones interested.

Such a nice experience taking my kid to the aquarium. Jelly fish were our favorite part.

We loved it . Something for everyone in family. Good for all ages.

Some unique displays compared to other larger aquariums. Price was reasonable. They provide a discount for AAA members.

Had a WONDERFUL day with my grandson. Many exhibits showing Sea life that s out of this world. Plenty of paid parking. Not to expensive. The gift shops offer discounted items. Plus a variety of souvenirs. Beautiful location. You can view the Queen Mary right across the way.

Awesome place for kids and adults. Worthwhile to get a membership and come out to member only events. Parking is across in the garage and members can get discounted parking passes. Lots of sea life to enjoy...can't wait for the expansion to open.

One of our favorite places to take our kids. Can start as early as six months and our five year old still has a blast.

Love this place, haven't been since I was younger, my second time ,my kids first time. It was so fun. For sure coming back again

Big aquarium. Good for educational purposes and family fun. A must go place with your family and kids.

Best aquarium I have been to. My favorite is the decomposing whale exhibit.

A great place for a family outing or visiting with out of town guests. The staff and volunteers are very friendly. The Lorikeets forest is very unique. The birds will fly closely over head and sometimes land on you. In the outer there are touch pools and you have to be careful not to get splashed by the kids water park.

There wasn't much to see in my opinion. There wasn't much action. A lot of tanks closed. But there were some sharks we can touch.

Yah it's no Monterey. But it's still interesting, and something to do on the weekend. I'd never been before and thanks to my job for the complimentary tickets.

Construction isn't too bad but the automated kiosks they have out front are awful.

So nice place to bring the kids so that they can learn about sea life but very important to bring them when they at least 5 years old so they can really keep their attention on the sea life or be prepared for a child to be a child lol

Very fun & big enough especially for kids. They enjoyed themselves.

Awesome...food a little expensive, but overall, a wonderful place to take the family...learn a lot about life in the ocean.

Amazing exhibits. Delightful staff. Great way to spend your day in shock and awe. There is not a single boring moment at the aquarium. Kinda romantic.

Great display of different fish. Large aquariums and a walk through tunnel.

A fairly nice aquarium! Lots of different attractions, a fairly big parking garage, and a nice gift shop too. It seems to be very very crowded during the summer (not a big surprise), so I'd recommend going another time, especially if you are only going once. The parking garage needs some work on the elevators as they seem very old and sketchy. The displays inside the elevators are broken and dirty and the elevators move very slowly/in a way that makes you feel like they might get stuck and stop moving.
4 stars because it really does have lots of fun attractions, but not 5 stars since things seemed a bit outdated and it does get overcrowded.

Awesome aquarium! I have always loved this aquarium since I was young. In my most recent visit we took my school's students for an educational trip. Our educational guide started us off with some educational activities about marine life identification. The students enjoyed this activity, and the touch tank in the room. We were also given time to visit the aquarium exhibits. There was a lot to see, and a lot of cool facts to learn. The aquarium takes very good care of the sea life they have as well, and the location is very clean.

It's a great aquarium. Unfortunately, there were too many school field trips and families with uncontrolled children. It's difficult to enjoy a visit when there's an an uncomfortably high noise level of screaming children who are running around with little or no supervision.

Magical place to explore the creatures of the deep blue! Even better if you catch it on a day the crowds are smaller.

Amazing experience, save for the fact that they serve seafood and meat immediately after you touch and interact with the creatures. A little cognitive dissonance there, especially after educating the public about overfishing, food shortages, and climate change.

A nice getaway for the day very crowded a lot of the time and it's not really laid out in a way that makes it easy to navigate but not bad

Fun time here with my dad. We saw some cool crabs, jelly fish, sharks, etc. Its good to go late close to closing time because its half off the original price. We paid close to $15 each person which is not bad.

Fun time spent at the Aquarium I loved the moon jellyfish exhibit

First visit to any aquarium and this was beautiful. We enjoyed watching all the different types of sea creatures swimming around as they would in the wild. The staff was friendly and informative. We will return.

Going there tomorrow on my birthday, with my best friend.

It is amazing and all the animals.are taken care of it is also surprisingly very clean who 100% go there for my birthday

There's a great deal of variety so it's pretty fun. But the glass is scratched up and it gets congested and I feel like crowd circulation could be better.

I had a great time it's fun not only for the kids but adults as well

It's very fun to go here and see the colrful fishes and sharks. Some facts here about the sea animals are pretty interesting and the gift shop can be a bit pricey but good.

The best experience is during the late night hours or when it's close to closing. It can get crazy crowded but if you go late, you can experience stress-free solitude. I love the otters. Cutest things ever.

I love coming here, but I'd recommend getting there as early as you can to avoid a lot of the crowds. Beautiful exhibits, good food and great learning atmosphere.

Lots of fun. It was just my husband and I. So this is just a wonderful place for couples and families. Great staff lots of hands on education.

The Aquarium is such a Wonderful place to spend the afternoon WITH or without your children! I have been taking my kids here since they were in preschool, whom are now adults. Animals the children can touch, ones they don't always see in their world. Places to play and imagine they are the zoo keepers. So much education, it's hard to believe they are Actually learning in the process!

Beautiful aquarium. This location has many different exhibits to explore, both indoor and outdoor. There is a parking lot right next to the aquarium that is $8 for all day parking with validation. There are two cafes but you can bring your own food. If you are in the area highly recommended, especially if you have kids. Make sure to give yourself a few hours to see everything

A fun place to visit with our relatives when we were in town for a wedding

If I had more time to explore everything and see the shows it's probably a 4. Aquarium was packed with several camps of kids running all over the place. Maybe go when school is in session and it would be better.

Definitely worth the price! They have a huge variety of sea life and it's a great place to take kids. If you do go make sure to feed the birds while you're there!!!

Cool place. Lots to see. Busy on the holiday weekend

I was really disappointed in the exhibits. Very few of them for an aquarium next to the ocean. My local inland aquarium has much more to offer.

Great to take the kids, looks small from the outside but once you start the tour it has a lot to see, interesting facts, a great variety of species, interactive areas and lots of things to do around the area

Although all indoor activities were closed it was lots of fun and my family and I enjoyed it. No big crowds. And very inexpensive a nice place to take the kids out!

Great spot for the family, but if u have little one's go early by the afternoon is pretty pack.

Beautiful fish in huge tanks, plus Rainbow Lorikeets that will sit on you, rays and sharks to touch. Penguins, otters, sea horses, jellyfish, sharks, eels, coral, urchins, anemones. PUFFINS. THEY HAVE PUFFINS.

We all loved the aquarium, the kids loved feeding the birds.

Fun for the whole family, especially the little ones.

Parking is terrible there's only one way in and one way out... suggest that you park in Downtown parking structures and walk across the street Shoreline Drive
