We've visited a few times and really enjoy all the shows they have available for us. The staff is always friendly and helpful, we've learned a lot about our aquatic friends, and my child was even able to feed a shark!

Always a fun place to visit with the kiddos and explore the sea creatures. The shark encounter and bat ray petting are their favorites. I like the new teen volunteer program they're doing too; I think it teaches teens about environmental issues as well as giving them public speaking experience.
I really enjoyed this aquarium. I have went to numerous aquariums and I was excited to see the sea life of the Pacific. My son enjoyed himself as well. The diver show was amazing.
The new additions are nice, when it gets packed it isnt so bad I just dont like how everything has to be 3x the normal price, a beer was $10.50!!!! That's just robbery!
Great place for family time! Beautiful sea animals and fun small play area outside. We used to have a pass so we did allot here at one point. Lots of touch tanks, feed the lorikeets (sp?), educational interactive wall. They had a story time for children at the outdoor stage across from sharks. Jellyfish touch area was pretty cool for entire family. Only reason we didn't renew was due to toddler only wanting to run.
One of the best places in SO CAL where the whole family can enjoy with pretty good shows ...!! ! ! Love the big whale hanging from the ceiling as you walk in! ! ! ! ! Kids do really have a good time here !!......( & adults too..lol ) fun for the whole family !!! Occasionally .
If you're in that part of Long Beach it's definitely worth checking out. It's a bit overrated because compared to other aquariums the exhibits are extremely small. Overall it's worth doing at least once especially if you are a family with kids.
Went there today was not happy with the visit it was crowded and when i went few years ago I remembered the place was in away better shape a lot of places where dirty and with a lack of maintenance many of the shows were cancel
Always a great time. Kids love the experience. Big aquarium with much to see. Very popular on the weekends so get there early. Downtown Long Beach is very busy give yourself time to get there with time.
Great educational venue. Bring your patience on a weekend or summer day. 1.8 million kids, and the typically oblivious herds of adult tourists abound. Otherwise, a world-class destination. Worth the high price of admission.
At fitst its very exciting to see the Big Aquarium Tank but as u walk through the whole place you tend to loose interest because its all fish fish fish in a dark hall. But i liked the seabass octopus and the white shark.
Excellent for kids or a date. I do love it with my grandchildren. They are truly amazed. The aquarium did an excellent job keeping displays low. Its very nice.
Went to the aquarium to finish off the afternoon. We brought our kid when she was like 3 or 5. It was alot more fun for her then. Good place for smaller kids. Like 10 and under. Ours is 13 now. Still had a good time. Now that shes older, we went threw the place like in an hour and half. All in all, was a really good time. Lots of activities and things to see for the little ones... Definitely recommend this place...
Incredible low prices thank God! It's such a beautiful experience you'll have with family and friends. Great shows & So many beautiful creatures to see, feel, and learn about. Affordable prices for pictures and memorable items! So many beautiful items to choose from along with great prices on snaks and drinks. Great parking structure, there's parking for everyone with no crazy over charges! I was there for about 3.5 hrs & only paid$6 f.y.i. & It's surrounded by such beautiful scenery and so much fun places to eat, play, and even rest at the beach.
Such a fun place to see through the eyes of a child, especially a toddler. Buy an adult pass, kids under 3 are free, and go for an hour. Parking is just $3 for that length of time which is just right for a toddler, too.
This aquarium is great because the employees are very knowledgeable and they love what they do. They have many different types of fish and species that you don't see at other aquariums. Shark and stingray petting is a must do!
Lovely place to take children, in our case it was a private event which made for a nice walk around and open bars. Odd shape of large rooms made it tough to move but overall good.
We used to love going here. Now the city allows the homeless to set up camp nearby. All around the aquarium I felt unsafe for my family not to mention the smell. Too bad this used to be a great area to visit!
Really love going here. Big enough that you can see a ton of cool stuff but small enough that you can see everything in 4 hours. Long Beach itself can be a cool area, just don't take anything if someone tties to habd you something.
Aquarium of the Bay is the best place where you should go with your child. I paid about $20-$25 and I was really surprised how big is it. We went through the different room, corridors looking for a lot of fishes. I have never seen such a variety of species. Mostly, I liked the tuna fish, because it is so big and fabulous. The gift shop has some overpriced items so I could not afford to buy anything for my daughter. We spent about 3-4 hours.
This place has beautiful assortments of fish and the habitats they live in. It offers a surreal experience that puts you almost in the sea itself showing you it's secrets and beauty.
